2001년에 시작된 웨스팅하우스의 Hematite 해체 프로젝트가 최근 성공리에 완료되었다. 이 프로젝트의 책임자인 웨스팅하우스의 Joe Smetanka로부터 그동안의 추진 경위를 포함하여 프로젝트 수행 과정에서 얻은 여러 가지 교훈과 경험을 들어본다.

Recently, in order to increase the effectiveness of engineering education, it is a trend to get out of teacher-centered, traditional pedagogical strategy which emphasizes knowledge delivery and to utilize diverse pedagogical strategies such as project-based learning, problem-based learning, and so on. Especially utilization of project-based learning(PBL) that is very effective to improve practical ability by doing projects which students can apply their knowledge learned in class has been increasing. By the way, although students work on one or more projects in your course, only the fact shouldn't say that you properly utilizes PBL. That is, many teachers make students perform projects in their courses, but only a few teachers properly utilize PBL. This paper presents PBL procedures, evaluation criteria on project subjects, an evaluation method of team project, an evaluation table of PBL accomplishment, etc. based on many years experience in PBL as a guideline for PBL in engineering education. Also, this paper proposes some complements for better PBL by analysing strength and weakness of PBL.

As the innovation of computer and communication technology, IT has played a role of increasing the business efficiency and offering new business opportunities. Many organizations have tried to launch IT projects, and the investment scale has been getting bigger. However, a lot of IT projects have been failed because of the difficulties of project management. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to know how the roles of project governance affect the project performance and what role of the project governance will be affected to solve the problems which might be taken place while developing the project. As the results of this study, the roles of project governance - linking, coordination, control, strategic direction, support, societal embedding, highly affect the project performance. To solve the problems which might be occurred while implementing the project, the control and the societal embedding roles playa crucial role compared to the other roles of the project governance. In other words, the roles of project governance should be utilized for the success of IT project, and the control and the societal embedding of the project governance should be modified and complemented to solve the problems which might be occurred while developing the project.

미래는 어쩔 수 없이 불확실하다. 더욱이 현대 프로젝트의 다국적화, 거대화, 복잡화 현상은 프로젝트 성공과 관련된 미래 예측을 더욱 불확실하게 만들고 있다. 이러한 불확실성의 증가 현상은 모든 산업에 있어서 일반적인 것이며, 결과적으로 리스크에 대한 관리의 필요성을 더욱 증폭시키고 있다. 관리되지 않은 프로젝트 리스크는 프로젝트의 실패의 원인이 되며, 나아가 조직의 위기로 발전된다. 따라서 프로젝트 리스크는 프로젝트 팀을 포함한 전체 조직 차원에서 관리되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 프로젝트의 전반에 걸쳐서 체계적인 리스크 관리를 위해 프로세스를 중심으로 서술하였다.

Recently, Several Mega project are been performing as a multi-dimensional development project in Korea, but some problem has been revealed about deficiency of the history, experience, and skill. A multi-dimensional development project require the technology which can manage mega project to its specific at the level of program management. predicting schedule and schedule management are the most important for mega project, been performing over several years. This research shows the method of predicting and planning schedule in the early stage as a pre-study on developing a technology of schedule management. First of all, it presents the development of database considering the specific of mega project that can accumulate the history of schedule and search the schedule according to the type of single and multi building. Also it suggests the method of prediction schedule by creating scenarios according to owner requirements and cash flow, affecting schedule management in the early stage, and the shortening possibility of schedule duration using CCPM theory.

The main purpose of this study was to demonstrate the most common characteristics of the small and medium system integration companies in performing IT projects. In this study, 388 auditing reports on the 194 IT projects which were carried out by the small and medium size manufacturers from 2006 to 2009 were employed and surveyed. This survey revealed that the schedule management was the most neglected item in the project management area, the test planning and action was the most neglected item in the development and coding area, and the manual preparation for users and operators was the most neglected item in the operation and maintenance area. Consequently these three most neglected items were considered as the most common characteristics of the small and medium system integration companies in performing IT projects.

The small construction projects under $\\5$ billion occupy 90$\%$ of Korea construction industry. Because of the lack of the right recognition and management tool for the small construction projects, it is difficult to carry out successfully. This study recognized the present status of the domestic small construction industry through the questionnaire with experts. By the analysis of the questionnaire, this study finds items such as the management methods and the success factor about the small projects. Also the study suggests the conceptual framework that the construction party could manage the small project effectively.

본 연구는 컴퓨터 과학 프로젝트 수행이 영재들의 창의성을 향상시키는데 미치는 효과를 분석하기 위하여 실제로 컴퓨터 과학 교과 수업에서 영재들을 대상으로 프로젝트를 수행하고 그 결과를 설문지를 통해 분석하였다. 이를 통하여 고등학교 수준의 영재들의 효과적인 컴퓨터 과학 프로젝트 활동을 위해 고려되어야 하는 문제점을 찾고 이를 보완하는 방안을 마련하고자 한다.

음성인식은 음향모델, 언어모델, 디코더 등의 기술을 이용한다. 음성인식은 하드웨어와 소프트웨어 구성이 정확하게 설계가 되어야 한다. 음성인식 프로젝트는 인프라 구성과 도입되는 음성인식 엔진도입, 인식률 그리고 시스템과의 연계가 중요하다. 하지만 음성인식 프로젝트는 솔루션 도입으로 인지하고 수행할 경우에는 많은 위험이 발생한다. 이 중 가장 문제가 되는 것이 인식률이다. 본 논문에서 음성인식 개발 프로젝트 수행에 도출되는 인식률을 개선하는 방안을 제시하겠다.
