Sequential Pattern Mining with Optimization Calling MapReduce Function on MapReduce Framework (맵리듀스 프레임웍 상에서 맵리듀스 함수 호출을 최적화하는 순차 패턴 마이닝 기법)

  • Sequential pattern mining that determines frequent patterns appearing in a given set of sequences is an important data mining problem with broad applications. For example, sequential pattern mining can find the web access patterns, customer's purchase patterns and DNA sequences related with specific disease. In this paper, we develop the sequential pattern mining algorithms using MapReduce framework. Our algorithms distribute input data to several machines and find frequent sequential patterns in parallel. With synthetic data sets, we did a comprehensive performance study with varying various parameters. Our experimental results show that linear speed up can be achieved through our algorithms with increasing the number of used machines.

  • Delivering documents within school itself, has been ignored, since it is not considered as a large organization such as government education agencies. It is necessary to change the procedures in delivering official documents within school's administrative services along with the outside administrative procedure changes. For the above purposes, this study can be practiced toward the actual schools therefore it is to design the framework for Distributable Official XML Document management and to implement official document management system based on JSP component. As a result, this system will reduce the negativity in producing the time critical official documents in educational activities. It is important at the fact that electronic document management procedures will incredibly improve the quality in school's administrative services.

  • Nowadays, The market environment is not static, but dynamic, it therefore requires global competition for the competitive advantage of product design in global market across boundaries. So if companies do not thoroughly understand core values, needs of consumers, and do not properly meet them, they cannot get the competitive advantage in global market for consumers. Therefore, the goal of this research is to develop a new design process for global markets through developing the on-line research analysis program and data-base. For this study, the researchers established a research framework associated with values, benefits and design attributes and developed a Global Design Process program through empirical researches. This research program is a upgraded system adapted to the digital period drastically.

  • This study was to build a collaborative digital library model between KSTI and JST for sharing science and technology information created in Korea and Japan. For this study, digital library framework, it's main concepts and widely-used digital library technologies were investigated. And also, best practices of collaborative digital library were surveyed to characterize collaborative digital library trends. Collaborative Sci-Tech digital library model proposed in this study can be applied in real environment and expanded into other institutions and/or subject areas.

  • 인터넷이 정보사회의 핵심 역할을 담당하면서 각 산업별로 생성되는 방대한 양의 콘텐츠들이 디지털화 되고, 각 인터넷 사이트는 고객의 수요에 따라 다양한 콘텐츠 선점을 통한 사이트의 경쟁력을 높이려 경주하고 있으나 자체 생산과 관리의 한계로 콘텐츠 신디케이션이 등장하였다. 그러나 산업기술 콘텐츠 신디케이터의 입장에서는 다양한 분류와 콘텐츠 제공업체(CP)에 따라서 서로 다른 데이터 표현으로 인하여 정보 수집에 있어 표준화된 프레임웍이 요원하였다. 따라서 이러한 문제점에 기초하여 관련 산업과 국제표준을 고찰해보고 융화시켜 국내 현실에 맞는 범용의 메타정보 프레임웍 구축을 통한 산업기술 콘텐츠 신디케이션 시스템을 설계 및 구현하고자 한다.

A Study on National IT Planning based on EA Approach (국가정보화시행계획 업무의 EA적 접근)

  • The National IT Plan is formulated every 5 years in Korea. Each ministry formulates its own annual IT plans and budgets based on the National IT Plan. Presidential agenda, in addition to the Ministry plan usually come in the budgetary process. A budget view and an IT view are not always aligned consistently in the budgetary process. For more consensus and less conflict between the finance ministry and the IT ministry, it would be useful to have a common framework to examine and review the many IT plans submitted by many ministries. We offer an EA-based framework that considers various views and classifications on IT plans. This framework would make the National IT Planning more efficient and effective.

  • This paper introduces a real-time flocking simulation framework through radial basis function(RBF). The proposed framework first divides the entire environment into a grid structure and then assign a vector per each cell. These vectors are automatically calculated by using RBF function, which is parameterized from user-input control lines. Once the construction of vector field is done, then, flocks determine their path by following the vector field flow. The collision with static obstacles are modeled as a repulsive vector field, which is ultimately over-layed on the existing vector field and the inter-individual collision is also handled through fast lattice-bin method.

  • The robot performs with combined various functional equipments organically. OPRoS (Open Platform for Robotic Services) is a framework to provide integrated development environment to develop an equipment in the form of the component parts to various institutions and developers and to combine them. To ensure the reliable operation of the robot, the developer should test the component can be coupled reliably with other components developed by other developers. First of all, that the search to find components to be coupled with the component meaningfully is necessary. In this paper, we propose the interoperability evaluation system which can find components to be meaningfully coupled with the component to be evaluated.

A research framework for development of a LCCA based tunnel asset management system (LCCA기반 터널 자산관리 시스템 개발을 위한 연구개발 프레임웍 설계)

  • As many parts of Korea are mountainous, many tunnels have been constructed to be in step with rapid economic development since 1970's. However, the interest on maintenance of tunnels is far less than the awareness of need for tunnels. As the tunnel maintenance system is the responsive maintenance system which responds to the problems found during the inspection, it will be very difficult to respond to each problem with the limited budget and manpower of the government agencies when the number of aged tunnels rapidly increase in the future. As such, this study presents the need for the LCCA (Life Cycle Cost Analysis) based tunnel asset management system to transform the tunnel maintenance to a preventive management system in a strategic and long-term viewpoint and proposes the framework for development direction. It observed the asset management implementation cases of social infrastructure in other countries and analyzed the need for asset management technique to manage the tunnels in Korea. Moreover, it applied the LCCA model, which is the economic and engineering quantitative decision making technique, for tunnel asset management to present the concrete direction for development of an asset management model and designed the R&D framework to systemize it.

COBie-based Building Information Exchange System Framework for Building Facility Management (건축물 유지관리를 위한 COBie기반 건축정보교환체계 프레임웍 연구)

  • The Construction Operations Building Information Exchange (COBie) collects and documents a large amount of information from different paths in one place during design and construction projects. This documented information is readily available as a means of continuously transferring data to the facility management systems used by building engineers. In this process, the COBie Worksheet, an open standard form, is used to input the information by simplifying the list required by the user. As a result, COBie was developed to improve dramatically how relevant information is obtained and updated to support operations, maintenance, and asset management at the design and construction stages. On the other hand, to use COBie, a great deal of manual work is required for information linkage and quality inspection with heterogeneous data models. These issues become obstacles to COBie-based facility management system development. This study analyzed the COBie information system and defined the framework for simpler operating maintenance information from BIM (Building Information Modeling). Moreover, the rules for facility management information submission, quality inspection, role definition of framework components, and information linkage were derived. COBie DB schema and support data linkages could be generated effectively based on the proposed framework in prototype development.
