VoIP 기술의 확산과 그에 따른 IP기반의 망을 포함한 Packet, Multimedia서비스를 제공하는 서비스가 늘고 있다. 실시간 서비스를 필요로 하는 음성 트래픽 같은 경우에는 그에 따른 경로에 확실한 QoS의 보장 조건이 요구되며 사용자가 지불한 대금에 따라 서비스에 차별성을 두는 차등 서비스에 대하 연구가 활발해지고 사용자들에게 신뢰성 있는 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 기술이 필요하게 되었다. IP 네트웍에서의 음성전송은 현재의 전화통신요금보다. 절반 이상 저렴하고 여러 가지 부가 서비스를 창출할 수 있다. 하지만 Best-effort Service만을 지원하는 기존의 망에서는 실시간 서비스의 품질을 보장할 수가 없기에 실시간 서비스에 대한 품질보장이 반드시 필요하다.

인터넷의 이용이 보편화 되면서 사용자들은 유 ${\bullet}$ 무선에 관계없는 다양한 인터넷서비스를 요구하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 서비스 제공을 위해서는 서로 다른 트래픽 특성 및 전송속도 등에 대한 충분한 고려가 있어야 하며, 그 이전에 유 ${\bullet}$ 무선 네트워크의 통합이 전제되어야 한다. 현재 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있으며, 이 중 가장 유력한 대안으로 떠오르고 있는 것이 ALL-IP 네트워크이다. ALL-IP 네트워크는 인프라 구성과 다양한 RAN 지원 등의 장점을 가지고 있지만, 근본적으로 IP 전송 기술을 기반으로 하고 있기 때문에 서비스 품질 보장 측면에서는 많은 취약점이 있다. 따라서 서비스 품질 보장에 대한 문제는 다가오는 ALL-IP 기반의 유 ${\bullet}$ 무선 통합 네트워크 환경에서 시급히 해결해야 할 문제로 인식되고 있다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 유 ${\bullet}$ 무선 통합망의 서비스 품질을 보장에 관하여 최적의 방법을 연구하였다

In this paper, we propose a group communication approach which can provide quality of service for soft real-time applications. This proposed scheme combining the explicit multicast, end-point measure-based admission control scheme(EMBAC), and diffserv, removes the need of maintaining state information in the network, so that it would be easily deployable in real networks. We propose the scheme of node configuration to measure the quality of the diffserv network, and that of managing EMBAC over group communication environment. By simulation, we validate the QoS of the proposed multicast service network.

This paper proposed a new STM-based media streaming scheme to assure the wireless ad hoc link quality. The proposed scheme can assure the link quality by the stream monitoring, assurance, and update procedure, and it can be monitored the media frame by streaming time $t_{new}$. This paper minimizes the link error rate and re-transmission rate using the media streaming update based on the frame size. The simulation results show thst the proposed scheme outperforms STCP and RMST.

최근들어 초고속 통신망(xDSL, FTTH, Cable)을 이용하여 Head-End Server에서 가입자 댁내의 셋탑박스를 TV를 이용하여 멀티미디어(다채널 SD/HD 방송, VOD) 및 양방향 인터넷 연동 서비스(T-Portal, T-Communication) 등을 제공하는 것이 가능해 졌다. 더불어 고객들에게 인터넷을 통한 이 서비스의 품질을 보장하는 망 관리 관점에서의 기능도 필요하게 되었다. 고객들은 예전보다 더 나은 통신품질을 제공받기를 기대하고 있다. 따라서, 기존의 PE-to-PE 통신 품질 뿐만 아니라 CE-to-CE 통신 품질도 제공함으로써 고객체감품질 보증의 만족도를 향상시켜야 한다 본 논문에서는 IP 서비스(IPTV, VoIP 등)의 SLA에서 사용될 품질 지표에 관한 연구 및 PE-to-PE구간에서 부터CE-to-CE 구간 까지의 시스템 망 구성도, SLA 관리시스템에 관해 설명한다. 본 논문의 SLA 시스템에서는 가입자 댁내의 셋탑박스에 내장된 품질측정 Agent를 이용하여 통신품질 데이터를 측정한 후, 가공하여 SLA를 적용함으로써, 보다 정확한 고객체감품질 보증 및 고객에게 SLA의 신뢰성을 줄 수 있다. 또한, 서비스 제공자로 하여금 사전에 통신품질을 감시할 수 있는 기능을 제공함으로써 양질의 통신품질을 보장할 수 있도록 하는데 목적이 있다.

Due to the prevalence of various mobile devices and wireless broadband networks, there has been a significant increase in interest and demand for multimedia streaming services. Moreover, the user can service the participatory video broadcasting service in the mobile device and it can be used to deliver the real-time news and more variety information in the user side. Live multimedia service of user participation should consider not only the video quality but also the delay bounds and continuity of video playback for improving the user perceived QoS (Quality of Service) of streaming service. In this paper, we propose an adaptive rate control scheme, called DeBuG (Delay Bounds Guaranteed), to guarantee the delay bounds and continuity of video playback for the real-time streaming in mobile devices. In order to provide those, the proposed scheme has a quality adaptation function based on the transmission buffer status and network status awareness. It also has a selective frame dropper, which is based on the media priority, before the transmission video frames. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed scheme.

본 논문에서는 이기종 무선망에서 제공되는 비디오 스트리밍 서비스의 품질을 보장하기 위해, 핸드오버 상황에 따라 변화하는 네트워크 상태에 적응적인 스트리밍 품질 적응 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 패킷 페어 방식을 이용하여 네트워크의 가용대역폭을 측정하고 핸드오버 상황 공지 메시지를 이용하여 핸드오버 상황을 빠르게 인지함으로써 핸드오버로 인한 네트워크 가용대역폭 변화에 능동적으로 대응하며 네트워크 상태에 적응적으로 비디오 스트림의 품질을 조절한다. 실험을 통해 제안하는 기법이 핸드오버 상황에서 비디오 패킷 손실을 감소시켜 비디오의 재생 품질을 보장할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

서비스 지향 컴퓨팅은 서비스를 동적으로 조합하여 사용자가 요구하는 비즈니스 프로세스를 개발하는 효율적인 개발 방법이다. 서비스는 분산환경에 배치되고 인터페이스만을 외부로 노출하여 내부의 세부사항은 숨긴다. 이러한 서비스의 특징은 서비스 사용자가 서비스의 품질을 알기 어렵게 만든다. 서비스 소비자가 중요한 도메인에서 서비스를 사용하려면 서비스 품질(QoS)이 보장되어야 한다. 서비스 품질을 보장하기 위해서는 서비스 품질 측정이 먼저 선행되어야 한다. 하지만 현재까지 서비스 품질 모델의 표준화가 이루어 지지 않아 모니터링 해야 할 명확한 대상이 정의되지 않았고, 그로 인해 서비스 모니터링 방법 및 모니터링 효율성에 대한 연구는 거의 이루어 지지 않았다. 이와 같은 문제를 해결하기 위하여, 본 논문에서는 먼저 서비스 모니터링 해야 할 데이터를 명확하게 정의한다. 또한 정의된 모니터링 데이터를 분류하고 분류된 데이터의 수집을 위한 모니터링 가능한 서비스 설계방법을 제안한다. 마지막으로, 실험을 통해 제안된 기법의 실효성과 효율성을 보여준다.

Recently, according to the rapid increase of Web users, various kinds of Web applications have been being developed. Hence, Web QoS(Quality of Service) becomes a critical issue in the Web services, such as e-commerce, Web hosting, etc. Nevertheless, most Web servers currently process various requests from Web users on a FIFO basis, which can not provide differentiated QoS. This paper presents two approaches to provide differentiated Web QoS. The first is the kernel-level approach, which is adding a real-time scheduling processor to the operating system kernel to maintain the priority of user requests determined by the scheduling processor of Web server. The second is the load-balancing approach, which uses If-level masquerading and tunneling technology to improve reliability and response speed upon user requests.
