A questionnaire survey is conducted to identify the middle school students' abilities to recognize the proportional symbolic maps. After analyzing the data from the respondents, three facts could be concluded. First, the trends of under-estimation are represented as the power function and the degree of under-estimation is increased as the sequence of line, square, circle, sphere symbols. Second, the estimations of symbol size are effected by the number of symbols in the legend(3, 5, 7), the presentation methods of legends(linear, nested), and the system to scale the symbol size(mathematical, perceptual). Lastly, the size of symbols on the map tends to be over-estimated comparing to the symbols in the legend, and the differences between the first year and third year students to recognize the proportional symbol maps are not identified.

In this paper we propose an effective method to represent, store, and retrieve video streams efficiently from a video database. We extract features from each video frame, normalize the feature values, and represent them as values in the range [0,1]. In this way a video frame with f features can be represented by a point in the f-dimensional space $[0,1]^f$, and thus the video stream is represented by a trail of points in the multidimensional space. The video stream is partitioned into video segments based on camera shots, each of which is represented by a trend vector which encapsulates the moving trend of points in a segment. The video stream query is processed depending on the comparison of those trend vectors. We examine our method using a collection of video streams that are composed of sports, news, documentary, and educational videos. Experimental results show that our trend vector representation reduces a reconstruction error remarkably (average 37%) and the retrieval using a trend vector achieves the high precision (average 2.1 times) while maintaining the similar response time and recall rate as existing methods.

본 논문에서는 선박에서 화재탐지를 위해서 규칙 기반 추론과 사례 기반 추론을 통합하는 방법에 대해서 논의하였다. 규칙은 어떤 영역에서 광범위한 경향을 표현하는데 적합하며 사례는 규칙에서 예외적인 상황을 다루는데 적합하다는 점에서 규칙과 사례는 상호 보완적이라 할 수 있다. 즉 어떤 행동이 충분히 반복되면 자연스럽게 규칙이 되며, 잘 확립된 규칙이 있다면 사례를 먼저 추론할 필요가 없다. 그러나 규칙이 실패하게 되면 실패를 만회하기 위해서 사례를 생성하는 것이 하나의 대안이 될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 일반적인 화재탐지 지식은 규칙으로 표현하고, 예외적인 화재탐지 지식은 사례로 표현함으로써 규칙과 사례가 서로 보완적인 역할을 할 수 있는 통합 방법을 제안하였다. 또한 기존의 규칙 기반 FFES(Fire Fighting Expert System)와 사례기반 추론에 의해 확장된 C-FFES(Combined-Fire Fighting Expert System)를 비교를 통해, 제안한 접근 방법이 화재 탐지율을 향상시킴을 보였다.

Tradition is defined as cultural qualities of a regional social group a race, which is transmitted from generation to generation through history. The purpose of this study is grasp of the tendencies of expressional methods of korean traditionality in contemporary korean interior design. Therefore, this study analyzed expressional methods of korean traditionality according to observing the cognitive activities in design process of korean primary designer's works. As a result, it seem that expressional methods of korean traditionality using a traditional space construct and properties of materials.

Roland Barthes views a myth as a chain of connotative concepts that are mutually connected. For him, a myth appears through a chain connotation that is mutually related, due to the first-stage signification system. In other words, the connotation of a particular scene is already inherent in a culture in the form of social convention or social values before it is made. In the case of Disney animation, as mentioned Barthes, it has also two layers of denotation and connotation for signification. However, Disney animation shows the tendency that seek the denotative representation and the direct communication, based on the typified character, to the representation and delivery of the myth that is inherent. Therefore, the tendency of denotative signification is seen Disney animation can be said as a branch of research methodology for the approach to the aesthetics of Disney animation.

추정을 위한 방법으로는 K-NN과 회귀분석, 신경망 등의 다양한 방법을 적용할 수 있다. 그러나 K-NN의 경우 거리에 의해서만 결과를 추정하므로 각 속성에 대한 가중치가 속성 값들의 간격에 의해 결정되고, 회귀분석은 하나의 선으로 데이터의 경향을 표현하므로 속성의 가중치는 고려되지만, 데이터의 분포가 넓을 경우에는 많은 오차를 포함하게 되는 데이터에 의존적인 문제가 존재한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 방법들을 혼합하여 데이터에 의존적인 문제를 보안할 수 있는 다중분석방법을 제안한다.

건강검진 데이터 공유로 일반인의 다양한 상태 분석 연구가 가능해졌다. 규칙추론 알고리즘으로 다양한 건강 데이터의 패턴을 파악할 수 있으나, 산출된 규칙이 많아지면 쉽게 해석하기가 힘들다. 본 연구에서는 스타차트를 활용하여 다수의 규칙을 보다 편하게 표현 할 수 있는 방법을 제안했다.

A great deal of handling time, expertise and huge investment are required to express oriental paintings three-dimensionally. This is because pictures are usually converted digitally and then reconstructed three-dimensionally. During this process we depend highly on expert's handiwork and specialized skills. This paper presents an idea to standardize the techniques that oriental pictures can be expressed as they are and a more effective method for their three-dimensional reconstruction.

본 연구에서는 정신분열증 환자들이 정서상태를 개념화하고 얼굴표정을 통하여 타인의 정서 상태를 판단하는 과정을 정상인과 비교하였다. 연구1에서는 만 19세-46세의 정신분열병 환자 19명에게 정서 관련 형용사 15개로 구성된 105개의 형용사 쌍에 대하여 유사성을 평정하도록 하여 MDS로 분석한 결과, 쾌/불쾌와 각성의 두 차원이 일관되게 보고되고 있는 정상집단과는 달리 정신분열병 집단의 자료에서는 쾌/불쾌 차원만이 뚜렷하게 나타나고 각성 차원은 얻어지지 않았다. 연구 2에서는 다양한 정서를 표현한 얼굴 사진 28개를 정신분열병 환자 30명과 대학생 31명에게 제시하고 각 사진의 인물이 경험하고 있는 내적 상태를 쾌/불쾌와 각성의 두 차원에 대하여 각각 7점 척도로 평정하도록 한 결과 정신분열병 집단은 대학생 집단에 비하여 쾌/불쾌 차원에서는 보다 긍정적으로 평정하는 경향이, 각성 차원에서는 상대적으로 낮게 평가하는 경향을 나타냈다. 특히 부정적이고 각성 수준이 높은 내적 상태를 표현하는 사진 자극에 대하여 정신분열병 환자 집단이 각성수준을 과소평가하는 경향이 두드러지게 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과를 종합하여 볼 때, 정신분열병 환자들은 정서상태의 개념화 과정에서 각성 차원에 대하여 상대적으로 낮은 민감도를 보이고 있으며, 특히 부정적인 정서상태를 표현하는 얼굴들에 대란 판단에서는 각성 차원을 과소평가하여 높은 각성수준을 나타내는 표정과 낮은 각성수준을 변별하는데 어려움을 보이는 것으로 해석될 수 있다. 본 연구의 결과는 정신분열병 환자들은 자율신경계의 높은 각성 수준으로 인하여 각성 수준을 더 높일 가능성이 있는 자극을 회피하는 경향이 있다는 Mednick의 가설과 일관되는 결과로 이들의 각성 수준에 대한 낮은 민감도는 방어적인 회피성향의 지속에 따른 둔감화의 결과로 해석될 수 있다. 효과는 GSR를 비롯한 자율신경계지표에서 잘 반영되었다.^2$=.792가 되었다. 설명되는 누적분산값은 67.18%였다.주관적 평가의 결과와 객관적 평가 결과를 이용해 마직물의 태를 평가하는 산출식을 제시하였다. 태 평가치의 경우 16가지 특성치를 모두 넣는 방법과 stepwise 방법, 또 Kawabatark 사용한 순차적 군 회귀법의 세가지 방법의 회귀식 중 16가지 특성치를 모두 넣는 방법의 결정계수가 가장 높았다.tosterone농도는 107.7$\pm$12.0 pmol／l이었고, 남성의 타액내 농도는 274.2$\pm$22.1 pmol／l이었다. 이상의 결과로 보아 본 연구에서 정립된 EIA 방법은 RIA를 대신하여 소규모의 실험실에서도 활용할 수 있을 것으로 사려된다.또한 상실기 이후 배아에서 합성되며, 발생시기에 따라 그 영향이 다르고 팽창과 부화에 관여하는 것으로 사료된다. 더욱이, 조선의 ${\ulcorner}$구성교육${\lrcorner}$이 조선총독부의 관리하에서 실행되었다는 것을, 당시의 사범학교를 중심으로 한 교육조직을 기술한 문헌에 의해 규명시켰다.nd of letter design which represents -natural objects and was popular at the time of Yukjo Dynasty, and there are some documents of that period left both in Japan and Korea. People are surrounded with numerous sounds. The sound is generated from nature and people. For example, the sound enables people or animal responsive to instinctive action. Music or fine arts are presented differently by its distinctive medium. On the other hand, those art forms are similar in a way that people uses right side of brain and intuitions for creative effects. Conjunctions between sounds and visual arts have been progressed to data. From art forms in subjective views to art forms using high technology such as the computer, experiments for sounds visualization are practiced constantly. For that reason, intrinsic attributes of sounds in design area and distinctive qualities are discussed in this study. With respect to existing category of studies and consideration of the tendency in recent researches, the object is to propose direction for the study in regards to methodology of design, which is reconstructing visualized expression.
