Evaluating the Safety Effects of Dynamic Message in a Work Zone: A Case Study (도로 공사구간 동적표지판 안전효과 평가: 사례 연구)

  • Generally speeding appeared to be the most contributing factor of fatalities occurred in work zones, and highway agencies in South Korea have concerned of the safety of workers and drivers in the poor circumstances. In this study, a portable variable message signs (PVMS) system as an alternative of control speeding in work zones was implemented. This study evaluated the safety effectiveness of the PVMS based on speeds and the compliance with the speed limit. Linear regression and logistic regression models were adopted to quantify the safety effect of the PVMS between the 'before' and 'after'. The results showed that most of points had statistically significant speeds reduction experience after PVMS installation. Also, the percentage of vehicle exceeding the speed limit by 10 km/h or more was decreased significantly between 50 and 80% in the 'after' periods compared to the 'before' periods. Therefore, the PVMS would be contributed to benefit safety in work zones which there is a difference in design speed of the adjacent normal section.

  • In this study, we tried to suggest a plan to improve the efficiency of operation after analyzing the actual conditions by selecting case areas operated by the cadastral resurvey responsible agency system. The research results are as follows. In the evaluation of the selection of a cadastral resurvey agency, a method to raise the qualitative evaluation score was suggested. The expansion of support for the cadastral resurvey agency made it possible to automatically connect and install when the LandyGo program is updated, and suggested that prior training should be stipulated in the related regulations. In the performance of cadastral resurvey surveying and division of duties, the installation of temporary boundary monuments and determine boundary monuments should be integrated. And this suggested the direction of conserving the project cost of the cadastral resurvey agency through joint implementation. Also, in the short-term and long-term perspectives, a plan for realization of project cost distribution in connection with the expansion of the entrustment of the cadastral resurvey responsible agency was presented. If the responsible agency system is operated by reflecting the results of this research, it is expected to improve the satisfaction of the project participants and shorten the project period.

  • 문장 안에서 한 단어가 가지는 올바른 의미를 얻기 위해 모듈화된 신경망을 이용하였다. 앞부분에 놓인 신경망은 코호넨 신경망으로 사용자의 지도가 개입되지 않은 상태로 자율학습(Unsupervised learning)이 이루어지고, 뒤에 놓인 신경망은 앞에서 결과로 얻은 2차원의 자기 조직화 형상지도(Self-organizing feature map)를 바탕으로 역전파 신경망을 이용한 지도학습(Supervised learning)을 하게 하였다. 입력 자료는 구문분석된 문장의 조사 정보를 활용하여 입력 위치를 정해준 명사의 의미표지와 동사의 의미표지를 사용하였다. 중의성이 있는 단어를 가지는 문장은 중의성의 가지수 만큼 테스트 입력 자료가 되어 신경망을 통과하여 의미를 결정하도록 한다.

  • 본 연구는 돼지의 발정동기화에 의한 과배란 유기시 돼지 난소의 배란상태(황체수)와 혈액내 혈액성분(WBC, RBC Hb, HCT, MCV, MCH, MCHC, Platelet)과의 비교분석을 통하여 다배란에 따른 표지(Marker) 혈액성분을 구명하기 위하여 실시하였다. 돼지 난소의 배란상태를 구명하기 위하여 30두의 성축 암컷을 이용하였으며, 발정 동기화는 PG 600(PMSG 400 IU, HCG 200IU)을 주사한 후 10일 후에 Regumate porcine을 6일간 급여한 후에 PMSG 주사하고 2일 후에 hCG주사한 다음날 자연종부를 실시하여 수정에 이르게 하였다.   • With the increasing of cars, general studies of them for the traffic safety have been raised as important problems. Visual system to radio-controled driving is to sample road traffic information as reconstructing a model from lots of road traffic information which is successively input in order to drive on unknown road. This paper proposes a sampling process of the road traffic information board needed in automatic driving under automatic drive system using Hough Transform and Genetic Alorithm.

  • With the advent of autonomous driving, personal mobility, drones, and smart roads, it is necessary to respond to changes in the road traffic environment in the road guidance system. However, the use of road signs to guide the road is decreasing compared to the past due to the advent of devices such as navigation and smartphones. Therefore, in this study, a large-scale survey was conducted to derive road sign issues and usage plans to respond to future changes. Based on this, this study presented a strategy to diversify road sign functions by analyzing the factors affecting the use of road signs by citizens. As a result, first, it is necessary to provide real-time variable road guidance information that reflects user needs such as traffic, weather, and local events. Second, it is necessary to informatize digital road signs such as reflecting maps with precision. Third, it is necessary to demonstrate road guidance in a virtual environment that reflects various future mobility and road environments.

Quantification of DNA Delivery Efficiency Labeled with Fluorescent Dye in Digital Electroporation System (디지털 전기천공시스템에서 형광 염료로 표지 된 DNA 전달 효율의 정량화)

  • In the previous study, there was a big difference between the tendency of the delivery efficiency of Yo-Pro-1 and the expression efficiency of the CFP gene, but there was a problem that could not provide a clue to this problem. Therefore, this study aimed to present a clue to this problem by quantifying and comparing the delivery efficiency after labeling DNA using a fluorescent dye, which was one of the methods for quantifying biomolecules. As a fluorescent dye for labeling, Yo-Pro-1 was used, and the delivery efficiency of the fluorescent dye Yo-Pro-1 and the labeled DNA was compared. The delivery efficiency of Yo-Pro-1 and labeled DNA according to the voltage condition of the digital electroporation system was maximized at 96 V, and the delivery efficiency tended to decrease as the voltage increased further. In the comparison of the delivery efficiency of Yo-Pro-1 and labeled DNA according to the number of voltage application conditions, the delivery efficiency was maximized at the number of 8 voltage application times for both delivery materials, and the delivery efficiency tended to decrease as the number of voltage application increases further. Through the two results, it was confirmed that the delivery efficiency using Yo-Pro-1 in the digital electroporation system represents the delivery efficiency of the system well. In addition, through the results of this study, the difference between the tendency of the delivery efficiency of Yo-Pro-1 and the expression efficiency of the CFP gene shown in the preceding study was not the result of the difference in the delivery efficiency of the delivery material, but it can be predicted to be due to a problem with the expression process of the genetic material that had been delivered.
