Acquisition Modeling of an Airborne Target for IR Target Tracking Simulation (적외선 표적 추적 시뮬레이션을 위한 공중 표적 포착 모델링)

  • This paper describes the acquisition modeling of an airborne target for target tracking simulation of infrared homing missiles. The modeling, of which key technologies are the sub-modeling for target infrared signature, atmospheric transmission, and receiver characteristics, shows the acquisition process of an airborne target under various tracking conditions determined by line-of-sight, distance, and atmospheric conditions. We confirm the validity of the modeling by applying it to simulations concerned with target tracking. The modeling gives a guideline to determine an optimum detector and a defection band for effective discrimination of the target among false targets.

  • Maximum lock-on distance in tactical guidance missile using seeker image is estimated by seeker's FOV, resolution and performance of tracking algorithm. In case, a missile is launched beyond the maximum lock-on distance, the missile is guided by INS pure navigation until it enters the lock-on possible zone. However, the probability of a target's existence within seekers images decreases as flight time goes by. Therefore, it is crucial to determine the distance that satisfies a certain target existence probability (TEP) and the maximum lock-on distance in order for an operator to take over the navigation role between two distances. In this paper, simulation which can analyse TEP in tactical guided missile seeker image is designed.

  • 적외선 영상에서 정확하게 표적을 포착하기 위해서는 수많은 거짓 표적과 참표적을 실시간으로 구별하고, 최종적으로 참 표적 하나만을 추적 할 수 있어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 추적 게이트의 이동거리 및 이동 방향을 실시간 감시하여 추적 게이트의 이상 움직임 유무를 확인하고, 추적 필터가 설정한 임계값 대비 높은 수치로 이동하거나, 한 방향이 아닌 다양한 방향으로 움직일 경우 해당 게이트를 신속하게 제거하여 거짓 표적에 대한 추적을 방지하도록 하였다. 또한 추적 게이트 이동 거리 및 확장 크기를 동적으로 조절함으로써 표적의 크기 변화와 표적의 움직임에 강인하게 추적 필터가 동작 되도록 설계하였다.

  • 본 연구로부터 최종적으로 얻을 수 있는 성과는 비행중 표적 포착과 인식을 위한 실시간 표적 인식 및 추적 기법에 대한 기반 기술과 차세대 호밍 유도탄 개발을 위한 기반 기술 확보라 할 수 있다. 단계별로는 제 1단계에서 2차원 인식/추적 기법과 이의 실시간 구현을 위한 기초 소프트웨어 및 하드웨어에 관한 연구결과를 기반으로 하여, 2단계에서는 가리워짐이 있는 상황에서의 2차원 인식, 3차원 모델에 기반한 인식 및 추적, 센서 퓨전, 그리고 3단계에서는 인식과 추적의 통합, 인공지능의 기초 기술에 관한 결과를 얻을 수 있다.

  • In this work, infrared targets for a developed hardware-in-the-loop simulation(HILS) system are proposed for a performance test of a dual-sensor imaging seeker equipped with an infrared and a visible sensor that can lock and track for ground and air targets. This integrated system is composed of 100 modules of heat and light sources to simulate various kinds of target and the trajectory of moving targets based on scenarios. It is possible to simulate not only the position, velocity, and direction for these targets but also background clutter and jamming environments. The design and measurement results of an infrared target, such as the HILS system configuration, developed for testing and evaluation of a dual-sensor imaging seeker are described. In the future, it is planned to test the lock-on and tracking performance of an imaging seeker equipped with single or dual sensors dynamically in real time based on a simulation flight scenario in the developed HILS system.

  • 항공기, 차량, 유도탄 둥과 같은 동적인 플랫폼에서 표적을 추적하기 위해서 시선을 안정화하는 외부의 추적 루프와 내부의 안정화 루프(또는 속도 루프)가 있고, 또한 표적을 추적하기 전 표적을 지향하고 포착하기 위해 김발을 동체에 대해 일정한 각도로 유지하기 위한 위치 루프도가지고 있다. 일반적으로 안정화 루프는 각속도를 측정하기 위한 검출기로 자이로를 사용하고, 위치 루프는 김발각을 제어하기 위한 위치 검출기를 사용한다. 그러나 안정화 루프에 사용되는 자이로는 루프 성능을 최적으로 하기 위해서 고성능/고가의 자이로가 사용되는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 위치 루프에 사용되는 위치 센서인 리졸버를 사용하여 고성능/고가의 자이로 센서 없이 안정화 루프를 설계하였고, 리졸버를 사용하여 설계된 안정화 루프가 동적인 플랫폼에 사용될 수 있는지 시뮬레이션 결과와 실험 결과를 통해 분석하였다.

Control of an Omni-directional Mobile Robot Based on Camera Image (카메라 영상기반 전방향 이동 로봇의 제어)

  • In this paper, an image-based visual servo control strategy for tracking a target object is applied to a camera-mounted omni-directional mobile robot. In order to get target angular velocity of each wheel from image coordinates of the target object, in general, a mathematical image Jacobian matrix is built using a camera model and a mobile robot kinematics. Unlike to the well-known mathematical image Jacobian, a simple rule-based control strategy is proposed to generate target angular velocities of the wheels in conjunction with size of the target object captured in a camera image. A camera image is divided into several regions, and a pre-defined rule corresponding to the target-located image region is applied to generate target angular velocities of wheels. The proposed algorithm is easily implementable in that no mathematical description for image Jacobian is required and a small number of rules are sufficient for target tracking. Experimental results are presented with descriptions about the overall experimental system.

  • In this paper, a study on the seeker technology in guided weapon system development. Seeker is guided weapons mounted on the device that is targeted for implementation homing guided looking for confirmation of the target after picking up, tracking, command, induce calculations necessary to induce the target's direction or control device to provide location information to perform a series of features. Therefore, the Seeker is guided weapons systems and important device that determines the performance of one guided control. Explorer is a tactical and strategy guided weapons from different goals and specifications of weapons systems development and encourage economic efficiency, Interoperability, designed to improve the reliability and hit requirements and the more numerous. Therefore, this research through the Explorer's attributes and weapons systems encourage the development direction of the technical details of the offer.

  • The multi function radar is searching target and tracking through resource management at the same time. Increasing resource allotment of track, if more targets and faster the renewal rate of track, lead to decreasing quota of searching resource in limited resource. When the resource of search are decreased, it becomes degrade searching performance such as revisit time, number of detecting chance and tracking etc. Degraded performance of search reduces guided missile defense probability in complex strategy such as ship self defense. In this paper, we developed a modeling and simulation (M&S) tool that uses own-ship model, radar model, target model and defense model for analysis of self defense in complex strategy. We analyzed influence of ship self defense in complex strategy according to various target environments and track performance.
