Automated radiation field edge detection in portal image using optimal threshold value (최적 문턱치 설정을 이용한 포탈영상에서의 자동 에지탐지 기법에 관한 연구)

  • Because of the high energy of the treatment beam, contrast of portal films is very poor. Many image processing techniques have been applied to the portal images but a significant drawback is the loss of definition on the edges of the treatment field. Analysis of this problem shows that it may be remedied by separating the treatment field from the background prior to enhancement and uslng only the pixels within the field boundary in the enhancement procedure. A new edge extraction algorithm for accurate extraction of the radiation field boundary from portal Images has been developed for contrast enhancement of portal images. In this paper, portal image segmentation algorithm based on Sobel filtration, labelling processes and morphological thinning has been presented. This algorithm could automatically search the optimal threshold value which is sensitive to the variation of the type and quality of portal images.

  • Semantic web portal is expected to overcome the shortcomings of the current web portals through advanced semantic web technologies and to be an effective and efficient method of knowledge sharing. In order to contribute to the knowledge sharing, semantic web portal needs to construct and integrate ontologies of each organization. Also, it needs to support search and navigation of inter-related knowledge. In this paper, we will design a semantic web portal that satisfies such requirements in the domain of display industry, and construct an ontology which links various knowledge of different fields. Moreover, we want to suggest an effective and automatic search/navigation method that supports customers who do not know the details of an ontology to easily get the desired results.

Improvement of Traffic Information Contents of Portal Site focused on User's Satisfaction (이용자 만족도 중심의 인터넷포탈 교통정보 콘텐츠 개선방안)

  • Recently, use frequency for traffic information which provides shortest paths and traffic condition is increasing. Specially, in the survey, it is shown that users prefer internet portal sites which can be used the most easily among traffic information media. But, there are not many verification systems for traffic information contents of internet portal sites which collect and provide information than traffic information contents which are provided by public service. The purpose of this study is to investigate real accuracy and accuracy felt by users about information provided by portal sites. Therefore, in this research we verified accuracy of information by portal site with real field data and investigate real usage about contents and experienced accuracy by users through survey. Also, users' expectation and satisfaction were surveyed and the contents to be improved were selected by using IPA technique. By the result of accuracy verification by field data using portable DSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communication) devices, it is shown that average error was 14~32% and sometimes very high rate. Also, it is shown that 28.3 % of total respondents prefers the information by portal sites and 50 % of total respondents felt that contents of traffic information by portal sites are not accurate. Real-time traffic condition was selected as the most inaccurate one among all contents of traffic information and it was analyzed that intensive efforts for improving information about real-time traffic condition are needed.

A Study on the Determinants of User's Satisfaction at e-Trade Portal Sites in Korean Small and Medium Enterprises (중소기업의 무역포탈사이트 이용만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구)

  • Trade portal site is one of the tools which make it possible for small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs) to manage international trade activities more efficiently by using the newest information and telecommunication technology. So Korean SMEs should utilize trade portal sites more actively to promote global competitive power. Based on the theory of service quality and existing researches related to using information technology, this paper analyzed the primary factors which affect user's utilization satisfaction in using trade portal sites. According to the results of the empirical study on actual users of the representative trade portal sites by multiple regression analysis, the primary factors, such as service quality, government policy and cost factor have affected user's utilization satisfaction in using trade portal sites. And user's utilization satisfaction have positive effect on continuous using intention. These research results will provide many useful insights to trade portal site managers, e-trade system developers and government policy makers.

  • This study aims to perform an evaluation of web-based encyclopedia services provided by major Korean search portals, Navel, Yahoo-Korea, Empas, and Daum. These encyclopedia services are evaluated in terms of the relevance, up-to-dateness, and multimedia features of search results. In conducting this study, real queries that real users submitted were used. This study also compares functional characteristics of these encyclopedia services. The results of this study can be implemented to the development and improvement of portal's encyclopedia services. Users can refer to the results of this study in choosing encyclopedia services from search portals.

  • This study aims to perform an evaluation of unified search services provided by major Korean search portals, Naver, Daum, Yahoo-Korea, and Empas. These unified search services are evaluated in terms of the relevance of search results. In conducting this study, real queries that real users submitted were used. This study also utilized click logs that consist of documents users clicked and viewed. The results of this study can be implemented to the development and improvement of portal's unified search services. Users can refer to the results of this study in choosing unified search services from search portals.

  • 선진 전력시장에서는 전력산업의 환경이 수용가 중심의 시장구조로 변화함에 따라, 이들을 대상으로하여 IT 기반의 다양한 전력부가서비스가 제공되고 있다. 이러한 서비스에 대한 연구개발은, 시간이 흐르면서 단방향이 아닌 양방향 통신 기반의 소비자 중심 서비스 분야로 확대되는 경향을 보인다. 특히, 미국 EPRI의 IntelliGrid 컨소시엄에서 제시한 수용가 포탈은 소비자 영역내의 장비와 에너지 서비스 기관 간의 양방향 통신을 지원하는 통합적인 개념의 서비스 기반으로, ESP(Energy Service Provider)와 소비자는 더욱 상세한 정보를 이용하여 더 많은 이익과 혜택을 기대할 수 있다. 이에 비해 국내의 전력부가서비스 제공 수준은 아직 시작 단계에 불과하지만, 머지않아 국내 전력시장 역시 양방향 통신 기반의 수준 높은 전력부가서비스를 요구하게 될 것으로 보인다. 따라서 국내환경에 적합한 수용가 포탈 기반의 전력부가서비스 개발이 필요하며 이를 통해 수용가에게는 비용 절감이 가능한 합리적인 소비 방안을 제시하고, ESP에게는 부하 수요관리 및 투자비를 절감할 수 있는 기회를 제공해야 할 것이다. 본 논문에서는 새로운 전력부가서비스를 기반이 될 수용가 포탈을 분석하고, 현행 전력부가서비스의 현황과 동향 분석, 적용가능 기술 분석을 수행하여 그 결과를 바탕으로 국내환경에 적합한 수용가 포탈시스템 기반의 전력부가서비스 선정 및 구축 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 정부 포탈 사이트는 국민들의 참여와 이용을 장려하여 정부와 국민간의 활발한 커뮤니케이션 창구로 이용하려는 전자정부의 의지를 반영하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 어떠한 요인들이 정부 포탈사이트 사용의도에 영향을 미치는지를 검증하여 그 목적을 가지고 있다. 이를 위해서 정보기술 수용에 관련된 연구들 중 널리 알려진 Davis(1989)의 TAM 모형과 DcLone & McLean(l992)의 정보시스템 성과측정 모형을 사용하여 연구모형을 도출하였으며, 지각된 모호성과 정부지원을 조절변수로 사용하여 지각된 유용성에 미치는 영향을 검증하고자 하였다.
