Category management has been implemented to enhance competitiveness in the food distribution industry since 2000 in Korea. This study helps to understand why suppliers achieve better or worse performance than competitors in a category. The major objective of this article is to explore which category tactics are effective to have influence on category performance when suppliers as a category captain implement category management with variety enhancer categories like shampoo, toothpaste, and detergent. The Nielsen data were analyzed using regression and Chow test. The empirical results that were varied upon the store type and market position found out which specific actions on product assortments, pricing, shelving, and product replenishment can increase category sales. Specifically, in the case of market leader in large supermarket, the significant indicators of category sales with respect to category tactics are the out-of-stock rate, the variance across brand shares, the forward inventory, and the days supply of a product. However, in the case of follower in large supermarket, the significant indicators of category sales are the variance across brand shares, the forward inventory, and the days supply of a product. On the other hand, in the case of small supermarket, the significant factors on category sales for both market leader and follower are the retail distribution rate, the variance across brand shares, the forward inventory, and the days supply of a product category. In sum, regardless of the store type and market position, dominant brands in a category, the forward inventory, and short days supply of a product improved performance in all categories. Critical difference is that the out-of-stock rate acted as a key ingredient for the market leader between large and small supermarket and the retail distribution rate for the follower between large and small supermarket. This article presents some theoretical and managerial implications of the empirical results and finalizes the paper by addressing limitations and future research directions.

Most of the motorcycle engines have used carburetors in the fuel system, because of its simple structure and reliability but the fuel economy and the emissions of those engines are bad when we compared with automobile engines .To meet with the tighten emission regulations and the higher requirements for fuel economy, the application of the carburetor on the motorcycle engines would be limited. Therefore, it is important to develope a ECU control system for motorcycle engines. Since the fuel injection system is expensive, it is necessary to decrease the cost of ECU system for motorcycle engines, but the accuracy of the ECU control system should be increased as high as possible. In this paper, we studied about the AFS characteristics of motorcycle engine controled by indirect method.

The characteristics of the laser metal deposition parameters were studied to enhance the deposition efficiency using a diode pumped disk laser. STD61 hot tool steel plate and Fe based AISI M2 alloy were used as a substrate and powder for the laser metal deposition, respectively. Among the laser metal deposition parameters the laser power, track pitch and powder feed rate were used to estimate the deposition efficiency. From the experimental results, the deposition efficiency was shown to be excellent when 1.8kW laser power 500um track pitch and 10g/min of the powder feed rate were used. For this optimal condition the average hardness of the deposition track was approximately 830HV, and this value is 30~50% better than the hardness of the commercially produced tool steel after heat treatment.

The purpose of this study is to derive optimal design floods by the Wakeby distribution model using the probability weighted moments. Parameters for the Wakeby distribution were estimated by the probability weighted moments for the annual flood flows of the applied watersheds. Design floods obtained by the Wakeby and GEV distributions were compared by the relative mean errors, relative absolute errors and root mean square errors. In general, it has shown that the design floods by the Wakeby distribution using the methods of the probability weighted moments are closer to those of the observed data in comparison with those obtained by the GEV distribution.

A cantilever deflection measurement system for AFM(atomic force microscope) was constructed by the laser deflection method using LEP type PSD. Design process including sensitivity analysis was presented and the performance of the system was demonstrated by several experiments using a sample specimen with 50nm-step on the surface. The measured displacement-amplification-factor showed good agreement with the expected one with about 8% deviation. The step height measurement data were compared to what were acquired by commercial AFM, and the result showed that there were about 5nm-deviation between the two data. These results satisfies our expectation in the stage of system design.

UE (User Experience) 조직이나, UI (User Interface or User Interaction) 조직, 사용성 조직이 2000 년대에 들어서 국내에 많이 활성화 되었다. 국내에서는 UE 조직이 구축 될 때에 전략적인 계획에 의해 형성이 되기 보다는 스타일 중심으로 디자인이 부서에 소수인원으로 시작이 되거나, 또는 개발부서의 지원 부서로 시작되다가 확대 되는 경우가 많아 비효율적으로 구축이 되거나 비효율적으로 운영이 되는 경우가 많았다. 본 연구에서는 UE 팀이 조직화 될 때에 고려해야 할 점에 대해 연구를 하였다. 조직의 구축 단계, 역할, 프로세스 등을 중심으로 연구를 하였고 효과적으로 팀을 구축하는 데 중요한 요소에 대해 연구를 하였다. UE 조직의 성숙도를 파악하는 것이 중요하고, UE 팀의 차별화 포지션을 파악하는 것으로 고객과 제공해야 할 것과 방법론을 잘 파악해야 한다 이 결과는 UE 관련한 조직을 구축하거나 운영을 하는데 활용될 수 있다.

본 논문에서는 실 승마 코칭을 수행하기 위해 Stacked 오토엔코더를 이용한 승마 보법을 분류하고자 한다. Staked Auto-encoder(SAE)에서 은닉층 수를 조절하여 승마데이터에 적합하게 쌓고, 성능을 비교하고 은닉층의 수를 수정한다. 데이터베이스 구축 환경은 16개의 관성센서로 이루어진 무선 네트워크로 구성된 슈트를 착용하고 국가대표급 승마 전문가로부터 데이터베이스를 취득한다. DB를 이용하여 보법별(평보, 속보, 경속보, 구보)로 각각 특징들(볼기 y축 포지션, 허리각도)을 이용하여 보법분류를 한다. 구축된 승마 모션데이터로 실험한 결과, 은닉층의 수가 1층일 때 성능은 95%를 보여주었고 은닉층의 수가 2층일 때 94%의 성능을 나타내었다.

실세계의 사물을 다중측면에 의하여 분석한 후 개체노드, 측면개체노드, 균일성 개체 및 다중화 추상화라는 여러 개념을 이용하여 디자인할 수 모델인 I-Farmer 모델의 구현 방안을 제시하였다. 컴포넌트는 컴포지션에 의한 소프트웨어 블록 재사용성을 제공하며 컴포넌트는 이들의 수행하는 기능에 대한 명세를 나타내는 인터페이스 명세 모델이 반드시 필요하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 I-Farmer 모델링 방법론에 의하여 디자인되어진 시스템을 컴포넌트 기반개발의 인터페이스 명세 모델로의 변형(transformation) 메카니즘인 ITI 알고리즘 및 CORBA / JAVA RMI COM IDL과의 상호관련성을 제시한다.
