An Web Based NC PostProcessor for Cutting Automation (절단자동화를 위한 웹 기반의 NC 포스트프로세서)

  • NC 포스트프로세서는 CAD/CAM시스템에서 생성된 공구경로데이터 파일을 입력받아 NC공작기계를 구동시킬 수 있는 공작기계 제어데이터 파일로 변환해 주는 소프트웨어이다. 본 논문에서는 범용 NC 포스트프로세서를 웹에서 실행될 수 있도록 구현한 내용을 기술하고 있다. 사용자가 웹에 접속하여 NC 콘트롤러의 사양 및 매개변수를 설정해주면 절단에 사용할 NC파일이 자동 생성된다. 개발된 본 시스템을 사용하면 고가의 전용 NC 포스트포로세서 구입에 소요되는 비용을 줄일 있어 생산성 향상에 기여할 수 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 전용의 NC 포스트프로세서를 범용의 NC포스트프로세서로 설계하고 이를 클라우드 컴퓨팅환경에서 기업에 서비스 하는 방법을 제안한다. NC 포스트프로세서를 인터넷 기반의 클라우드 환경으로 이행하는 것은 사용자 인터페이스와 프로세서 엔진이 분리되어 각각이 사용자 PC, 그리고 클라우드 환경에 설치되고, 이 두 모듈 사이를 네트워크로 묶어주는 구조이다. 이러한 구조는 기존의 서버-클라이언트 구조 혹은 데스크탑 가상화 등에 따른 어플리케이션의 네트워크와는 차별화되며, 사용자 인터페이스의 배포 및 이를 운용하기 위한 웹환경의 구축, 그리고 클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경에서의 NC 포스트프로세서 엔진의 운용 등이 플랫폼적으로 통합된 시스템 형태를 갖도록 설계하였다.

  • In this paper, we describe a case of utilizing SaaS technology to build NC Post-processor(WBS) based cloud computing. Developed WPS system was implemented to provide stable and continuous system service by utilizing SCoD methodology. WPS is designed user interface module and control engine module. The interface module is downloaded in a client PC and the control engine is installed in cloud parm area. These modules are connected with computer network. WPS was completed a function test for sheet cutting field and mold manufacturing field, and it is processing a commercial service using with improve the user's convenience and adding a bill charge module.

  • Five-axis laser cutting has great advantages when it is applied to 3-dimensional machining requiring high cutting quality. For developing 5-axis CNC laser cutting systems, however, many problems such as rotating a laser head or a working table, 5-axis servo-control mechanism, tool path generation and post processing, and collision avoidance between a laser head and a work-piece should be solved. In this paper, we deal with developing a dedicated CAM system based on UG-NX3 for 5-axis laser cutting machine. Two essential modules such as post-processor and cutting motion simulation was developed. The developed system was applied to cutting curve defined on 3-D workpiece in order to show the validity of the proposed methods.

  • Concurrent engineering concept is used in factory automation recently. In this paper, described instance that apply concurrent engineering production concept in sheet metal cutting process. Automation system to produce metal parts designed by Client/server structure, and designed NC postprocessor on inside. Also, in this paper, when handled all justices of part production by breakup design of concurrent engineering, proved can shorten tine required in product manufacture than system past.

  • An impeller is difficult to machine because of severe collision due to the complex shape, overlapping and twisted shape that form impeller blades. So, most CAM software companies have developed CAM module for manufacturing impeller in addition to their CAM software. But it is not still easy for inexperienced users to machine impellers. The purpose of this paper is the development of automatic CAM module for manufacturing impeller(E-ICAM) which is based on visual basic language and it is used CATIA graphical environment in order to be easily machining impellers. Automatic CAM module for manufacturing of impellers generates tool path, and proposes recommended cutting condition according to the material of stock and tool. In addition, it has also included a post processor for 5-axis control machining. Therefore the user can easily machine impellers using this automation module.

  • In this paper, the Post Process for the manifold complex processing using CAD/CAM Software of two and a half Dimensions(2.5D) has been developed to maximize the application of the manifold manufacturing machine. Many companies are currently making use of high price systems to improve manufacturing process using the multi-axial complex manufacturing machine. In accordance with the requirements, the utilization of CAD/CAM Software for the manifold complex manufacturing machine is earnestly demanded. However, the experts who have experience in manifold manufacturing machine are insufficient. Consequently the outcomes of the Post Process for 2.5D CAD/CAM Systems have been dealt in order to be smoothly operated by those who have basic skills and be understood in process drawings. CNC program functions can be specially used as they are, when drawn up. The Post Process for the original point designation and transformation of coordinates has been developed and applied. The results gave proof of practical manufacturing outcomes.

  • 본 논문은 판재를 다루는 제조업에서 제품생산에 필요한 부재 절단작업도와 NC절단기 제어용 부재 절단 NC 데이터파일을 생성해 주는 네스팅시스템을 웹상에서 구현하고 이를 유료로 활용할 수 있도록 지원하는 인터넷 비즈니스의 한 방법을 제안한다. 웹에서 운용되는 네스팅시스템은 비주얼스튜디오 닷넷(VS.NET)을 개발툴을 사용하며 서버의 과부하를 최소화하고 클라이언트를 최대한 활용할 수 있도록 NEST서버, NEST 클라이언트, 데이터베이스서버 그리고 이들을 연결해주는 커뮤니케이션 인터페이스로 구성되어 있다. NEST 서버에서는 부재의 자동배치기능, 부재의 NC 절단데이터 생성을 위한 CAM기능, NC 포스트프로세서기능이 실행되며 NEST 클라이언트에서는 부재 및 판재 정의기능, 부재 반자동배치기능, 각종 결과의 출력기능 등이 수행된다.

  • 5-axis NC machining has a good advantage of the accessibility of tool motion by adding two rotary axes. It offers numerous advantages such as expanding machining fields in parts of turbo machineries like impeller, propeller, turbine blade and rotor, reasonable tool employment and great reduction of the set-up process. However, as adding two rotary axes, it is difficult to choose suitable machining conditions in terms of tool path, tool posture, feedrate control at a tool tip and post-processing. Therefore in this paper, it is proposed to decide suitable machining condition through an experimental method such as adopting various tool paths, tool postures, and feedrate types. Machining experiment on AL7075 for impeller is performed to define suitable machining condition, and measurement of surface roughness on machined surfaces depended on each machining condition is performed. By defining suitable machining condition, we should have conclusion as improving the surface quality in the aspect of surface roughness and machined shape of surface.

  • In order to develop a practical postprocessor for 5-axis machining, the general equations of numerically controlled (NC) data for 5-axis configurations with not only non-orthogonal rotary axes but also orthogonal rotary axes were exactly expressed by the inverse kinematics, and a Windows-based postprocessor written in Visual Basic was developed according to the proposed algorithm. The developed postprocessor is a general system that suitable for all kinds of 5-axis machine tool with orthogonal and non-orthogonal rotary axes. Through implementation of the developed postprocessor and verification by a cutting simulation and machining experiment, the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is confirmed. Compatibility is improved by allowing exchange of data formats such as rotational tool center position (RTCP) controlled NC data, vector post NC data, and program object file (POF) cutter location (CL)data, and convenience is increased by adding the function of work-piece origin offset. Consequently, the technology of practical post-processor for 5-axis machining is developed.
