Analysis on the Thermal Performance of Flat-plate Solar Collector for Greenhouse Heating(I) (온실 난방을 위한 평판형 태양집열기의 열적성능 분석)

  • This study was performed to investigate thermal performances of two different types of flat-plate solar collector systems; natural circulation system and forced circulation system. Conclusions obtained from this study are summarized as follows; 1) In the natural circulation system, the total heat amounts retrieved by starting recovery soon after sunrise were ranged from 10.28 to 17.20MJ/m$^2$, while the total heat amounts retrieved by starting recovery after sunset were ranged from 5.31 to 10.77MJ/m$^2$. 2) The collector efficiency in natural circulation system were ranged from 51.1% to 54.1% when the collected heat was retrieved after sunrise and were 65.8~78.0% when the collected heat was retrieved soon after sunset. 3) According to the regression analysis between fluid flow rates and fluid temperature difference at inlet and outlet of collector pipe, there was high regressive corelations with regression coefficient, r, of 0.982. 4) The collector efficiencies estimated for forced circulation system were 73.1~88.6%, and 78.4~94.8%, and 64.2%~74.5%, respectively when fluid circulation rates were 4.2 l/min, and 7.0 l/min, respectively.

  • Sandwich plate is consisted of equal two isotropic, thin, stiff and strong sheets of dense material separated symmetrically by an isotropic thick layer which may be much less stiff and strong. This study analyzed the dependency of the natural frequencies and mode shapes of sandwich plates on material properties, thicknesses of faces and cores, and various boundary conditions using Rayleigh-Ritz method. E-glass Woven Roving and another two kinds of materials were selected as a face, P.V.C. and another kinds of materials were selected as a core. Natural frequencies and mode shapes obtained by Rayleigh-Ritz method were compared with F.E.M. solutions using ADINA program.

  • The ultimate strength formulas of ship panels are suggested in a simple and suitable form. Firstly, these formulas are derived from a full description of the variables that govern plate strength by using statistical data of actual ships. Secondly, under the assumption of plate mid-edge collapse using the Von-Mises' yield criterion and the new buckling formula, a general equation for the ultimate strength estimation is also derived. The existing test data are compared with these new formulas and a good correlation is shown.

  • The paper describes the analysis of large displacement problems including instability phenomena. The element used in this is a degenerated isoparametric shell element with eight nodes. Total Lagrangian formulation has been adopted in this study using Newton-Raphson iteration method with incremental load. The linear stability analyses performed usually for the initial position can be repeated at several advanced fundamental states on the non-linear buckling path. Thus a current estimate of the failure load is given. The numerical examples of a cylindrical panel under uniform load, simply supported plate under axial load, and clamped plate under uniform load are carried out. The examples applying degenerated isoparametric elements to bifurcation buckling and nonlinear collapse problems are also performed.

  • Recently, LCD (liquid crystal display) industry is needed to goods of high reliability and wide range temperature condition and it is interested in products for extremely cold condition without failure of light-up. In this experiment, we made the LED backlight unit for Automotive-navigation under the extremely cold condition. And for making this backlight unit, we used to eight side emitting type white LEDs with 3W high power LED. We could know that this backlight unit releases to 18,000 nit in 24W power consumption and start up voltage time is under the 1ms in the ambient temperature at -40.

  • 본 논문은 LLC 공진형 컨버터의 고전력밀도를 위한 IM(Integrated Magnetics)을 제안한다. 일반적으로 컨버터의 전력밀도는 사용되는 변압기, 인덕터와 같은 자기소자에 의해 결정되므로, 평판형 자기소자(Planar Magnetics)는 고 전력밀도화에 매우 적합하다. 하지만 LLC 공진형 컨버터에 평판형 자기소자를 적용할 경우 높은 자기 결합도에 의해 공진을 위한 충분한 누설 인덕턴스를 얻을 수 없다. 따라서 공진동작을 위한 추가적인 인덕터의 사용이 필수적이며, 전력밀도는 감소하게 된다. 반면, 제안방식은 자기소자 내부에 형성되는 두 개의 자화 인덕터를 공진 인덕터로 사용하기 때문에 공진동작에 필요한 누설 인덕터가 필요하지 않다. 또한, 이러한 두 개의 자화 인덕터는 하나의 자기소자에 집적화 할 수 있으므로 고 전력밀도에 유리한 구조를 갖는다. 더불어, 공진동작에 필요한 모든 파마리터가 설계자의 의도대로 설계가능하기 때문에 컨버터 최적설계가 매우 유리하다. 제안방식의 타당성을 확인하기 위하여 자기소자 모델을 통한 효율분석 및 350W-800kHz 시작품에 대한 실험결과를 제시한다.

  • Although various fast and simple, testing devices have been developed in many countries such as the U.S, Japan, and European countries, these testing devices are not commonly used in Korea. In this study, compaction fur the field density test was carried out with a hand-guided vibrating roller. The results of the field density test were compared with those of the new testing devices such as the geogauge, soil impact hammer(CASPFOL), light falling weight deflectometer(LFWD), dynamic cone penetration(DCP). Regression analyses were conducted with the data from new testing devices. The analysis results showed that the correlation coefficients were high in the range of $70{\sim}95%$.

  • 최근 평판디스플레이 산업이 성장함에 따라 품질향상을 위한 연구가 활발히 진행중이며 또한, 부품 소재 개발에 박차를 가하고 있다. 대형 평판디스플레이 중 낮은 전력소모와 광시야각이 우수한 TFT-LCD가 각광받고 있다. TFT-LCD 소자의 투명전극으로 사용되기 위해서는 면저항 10~1k Ohm/sq., 광투과율 85% 이상의 특성이 요구되며 ITO(Indium Tin Oxide의 약자) 타겟을 스퍼터링한 박막이 일반적으로 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 $In_2O_3$ 나노 분말 제조 공법으로 제작된 ITO 타겟을 사용하여 양산성 및 대형화에 적합한 DC 마그네트론 스퍼터 방식으로 투명전극을 제조하였다. 일반적으로 사용되는 고정식 DC 마그네트론 스퍼터 방식은 타겟표면에 재증착(back deposition)되는 저급산화물로 인해 이물 또는 노즐(Nodule) 이 형성되고 이로 인해 비이상적이고 불안정한 방전 플라즈마가 박막의 특성을 저하시킨다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 이동식 DC 마그네트론 스퍼터 방식을 채택하였으며 대형 타겟을 이용한 대형화 기판 제작과 안정적인 sputter yield로 인해 uniformity가 우수한 ITO 박막을 제조하였다. ITO 박막의 저면저항 고투과율 특성을 구현하기 위해 공정변수인 산소분압, 전류밀도(DC power) 그리고 증착온도에 따른 ITO 박막의 미세조직과 결정성을 관찰하였으며 전기적 특성을 분석하였다.

  • 바이오센서 응용을 위한 대칭 및 비대칭 마하젠더 간섭계 광도파로 소자의 설계, 제작 및 광학적 응답특성을 평가하였다. 설계 제작된 광도파로 소자의 압력광원은 각각 1550nm와 632.8nm이고, 코어와 클래딩의 굴절률차는 0.45 $\Delta$%로 설계 제작하였다. 센서부(상위 클래드)의 금 박막의 미소 굴절률 변화에 따른 TE, TM모드의 특성을 분석하였다. 센서의 보다 높은 감도 개선을 위한 나노-광자결정 구조가 주목받고 있는데, 광자결정 구조의 구현를 위한 리소그래피 공정은 높은 분해능과 신뢰성 있는 나노스케일의 공정이 요구된다. 광-바이오센서의 감도 개선을 위해 센서부 표면에 2차원 나노-광자결정 배열을 제안하고 이를 구현하기 위한 Dip-Pen Nanolithography 공정에 대해 고찰하였다.

Numerical Study on Laminar Diffusion Flame with Radiation Along Vertical Wall (수직평판에서 복사열전달을 고려한 층류확산화염에 관한 수치적 연구)

  • To understand the phenomena of laminar diffusion flame along vortical walt, the numerical analysis has been performed. Keller-box method was used to solve the problem in the boundary layer. The governing equation is simplified by thin-flame approxiamtion. And energy and chemical species equations are normalized with Schvab-Zeldovich variables. A physical domain is divided the boundary layer along streamwise coordinate as the combustion region and the propagation region. And Radiation model is concerned in these region. As a result, typical phenomena have been observed. Comparison of the numerical results with experimental data shows that the present method can successfully predict phenomena of laminar diffusion flame along upright surface.
