  • What is a foundational element of plane geometry? Isn't it possible to constitute the contents of plane geometry from that element? In this paper, we suggest a view point that triangle is a foundational element of plane geometry. And take some examples of reconstruction of usually given contents and mathematical activity centered on the triangle in plane geometry.

A Calibration Coefficient Auto Extracting Method for Compound Distorted Image (복합 왜곡 영상을 보정계수 자동추출 방법)

  • 많은 비전 응용에서 카메라의 광축은 영상 평면과 직교한다는 가정을 한다. 그러나 가정아래 전통적인 왜곡 영상 보정 방법은 렌즈의 방사(radial) 왜곡과 이탈(decentering) 왜곡만을 고려하고 있다. 그러나 렌즈의 광축(optical axis)과 영상 켈리브레이션 평면이 직교하지 않을 경우는 평면 투명 변환과 카메라 자체의 렌즈 왜곡이 복합되어 나타나게 되므로 기존 방법만으로는 이러한 복합왜곡을 보정할 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 일방 방사왜곡 뿐만 나이라 평면 투명변환과 렌즈왜곡이 동시 존재하는 영상 시스템에서도 적용 가능한 왜곡 영상 자동 보정 방법을 제한한다. 제안한 복합 왜곡 모델은 평면 투명 변환 모델과 렌즈의 방사 왜곡 모델로부터 유도하고, 계수 추출 알고리듬은 비 선형 최소화 기법인 Levenberg-Marquart 방법에 기반을 둔다. 실험은 이상형 격자 영상에 임의 왜곡 계수를 적용한 영상과 WebCam 카메라의 실제 왜곡 영상을 가지고 실시하였고, 기존 방법과 제안한 방법의 보정율을 비교 평가하였다. 실험결과 제안한 방법은 렌즈 왜곡만 있는 경우에도 기존 방법보다 우수하였으며, 복합왜곡 환경에서도 97% 이상의 보정율로 아주 견고하게 적용 가능한 것으로 나타났다.

The Sliding Control using Nonlinear Sliding Surfaces (비선형 슬라이딩 평면을 이용한 슬라이딩 제어)

  • In the paper, design of nonlinear sliding surfaces which are based on optimal control is studied, The state trajectory by the input of optimal control was obtained by Frobenius theorem and matrix decomposition method, was set the nonlinear sliding surfaces of the system. The states is maintained to sliding surfaces from initial states. As the result, robustness of the system can be guaranteed throughout an entire response of the system starting form the initial time instance, the uncertainty and external disturbance that can occur during the reaching time is removed, the problem of large control input was solved, and setting the sliding surfaces optimal path was able to reduce the tracking time. The validity of the proposed control scheme is shown in computer simulation for inverted pendulum.

Improvement of Depth Video Coding by Plane Modeling (평면 모델링을 통한 깊이 영상 부호화의 개선)

  • In this paper, we propose a method of correcting depth image by the plane modeling and then improving the coding performance. We model a plane by using the least squares method to the horizontal and vertical directions including the target pixel, and then determine that the predicted plane is suitable from the estimate error. After that, we correct the target pixel by the plane mode. The proposed method can correct not only the depth image composed the plane but also the complex depth image. From the simulation result that measures the entropy power, which can estimate the coding performance, we can see that the coding performance by the proposed method is improved up to 80.2%.

  • In this paper we propose a new CBL-based floorplan method that accommodates pre-placed blocks. We identify the problem of the previous CBL-based pre-placed block floorplan method, and suggest the solution method of this problem. In our method, CBLs consisting of only free blocks are perturbed and maintained during the simulated annealing. Pre-placed blocks are inserted during packing in such a way that the topology of the CBL after insertion of a pre-placed block resembles the topology before insertion. Thus, even with the inclusion of pre-placed blocks, the searching effort via simulated annealing yields acceptable results. Experimental results show that our floorplan method places pre-placed blocks effectively and efficiently.

Determination of Plane-wave Reflection Coefficient in Underwater Acoustic Pulse Tube Using Two-dimensional Fourier Filtering (이차원 푸리에 필터링을 이용한 수중음향 펄스 튜브에서의 평면파 반사계수 결정)

  • Complex acoustic signals can be formed in a water-filled acoustic pulse tube under some exciting conditions. It makes difficult to measure plane-wave reflection coefficient with the pulse tube for low frequency bands. In this study, using COMSOL Multiphysics we show that the tube wall excitation generates complex acoustic field of nonplanar mode as well as planar one. From such field incident or reflected planar mode can be decomposed respectively with a modal decomposition method, two-dimensional Fourier filtering. It makes possible to more accurately determine the plane-wave reflection coefficient of acoustic specimen with time gating.

  • We present an algorithm for finding shortest paths in the L$_1$ plane with a transportation network. The transportation network consists of parallel line segments, called highways, through which a movement gets faster. Given a source point s, our algorithm constructs a Shortest Path Map(SPM) such that for any query point t, we can find the length of a shortest path form s to t in O(log n) time. We design a plane sweep-like algorithm computing SPM in O(nlog n) time.

Improvement of Plane Tracking Accuracy in AR Game Using Magnetic Field Sensor (자기장 센서를 사용한 AR 게임에서의 평면 추적 정확도 개선)

  • In this paper, we propose an improved method of plane tracking in developing AR games for smartphones using magnetic field sensor. The previous method based on ARCore is a VIO method using a mixture of SLAM and IMU of smartphones. The disadvantages of accelerometers and gyroscopes in IMUs cause errors in tracking the plane. We propose an improved method of planar tracking by adding the magnetic field sensor as well as the existing IMU sensors. Experimental results shows that our method reduces the error of the smartphone posture estimation.

A Study on Fault Diagnosis for Planar Active Phased Array Antenna (평면 능동위상배열안테나 결함소자 진단방법에 관한 연구)

  • A radiating elements fault diagnosis method with simplified radiation pattern measurement procedure was presented for planar active phased array antenna system. For presenting the mentioned method, the technique for linear approximation based on the radiation characteristics of a planar array configuration and a technique for solving a unique solution problem that occur in process of diagnosing a fault in a radiating elements were presented. Based on the presented method and a genetic algorithm, experimental simulations were performed for radiating element defect diagnosis according to various planar active phased array antenna configurations. As a result, it was confirmed that the presented radiating element fault diagnosis method can be smoothly applied to planar active phased antennas having various configurations.

The Usefulness of Ga-67 SPECT Imaging to Detect the Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma: Comparison with Ga-67 Planar and SPECT Imaging (비호지킨 림프종의 진단에서 갈륨 SPECT의 유용성: 평면영상과 SPECT영상의 비교)

  • 갈륨스캔은 여러 종류의 염증성 질환 및 종양을 발견하기 위해 사용되고 있다. 특히 림프종은 갈륨스캔에서 양성율이 비교적 높은 종양으로 알려져 있다. 하지만 기존의 평면 영상만으로는 작은 크기의 종괴나 다른 장기에 의해 가려져 있는 경우에 위음성 결과를 보일 수 있었다. 최근 단일광자 방출 전산화 단층촬영(SPCET)을 도입하여 평면영상에 비해 더 나은 공간해상력으로 많은 정보를 얻고 있다. 저자들은 비호지킨 림프종 환자 30명을 대상으로 갈륨스캔 평면영상과 SPECT 영상을 얻어 비교하였다. 병변의 부위별로 두경부, 흉부, 복부에서 평면영상의 예민도는 각각 71%, 73%, 81%였으며, SPECT 영상의 예민도는 91%, 93%, 96%였다. CT 등 방사선학적 검사소견과 임상소견을 기준으로 하였을 때 위음성율은 평면영상의 경우 24%, SPECT 6.5%였다. 장의 방사능으로 인한 섭취와 폐문부 및 침샘의 비대칭적 섭취로 인한 위양성례가 4예 있었다. 결론적으로 비호지킨 림프종의 진단 및 병기를 결정하는데 있어서 갈륨스캔이 유용하며, SPCET 영상을 얻음으로써 더 나은 해부학적 위치 및 정확한 범위를 보여 줄 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.
