  • 최근 국내에서 해상교량 건설이 증가하면서 교량에 충돌하는 선박의 충돌력에 대한 관심도 증가하지만 선박충돌력에 대한 국내 기준은 AASHTO LRFD에 근거를 두고 있는 실정이다. AASHTO LRFD에 의한 선박충돌력은 Woisin의 평균충돌력 개념에 바탕을 두고 있으며, 충돌속도가 증가함에 따라 AASHTO LRFD에서 제시하는 충돌력의 변화곡선을 따르고 있다. 하지만 AASHTO에서 제시된 충돌력 변화곡선은 선박의 최대충돌력 변화곡선과 같이 선형적 변화를 보이는 반면, 본 선박 충돌해석 결과의 평균충돌력은 최대충돌력의 선형적 변화거동과 일치하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 선박의 비선형 충돌해석을 통하여 AASHTO LRFD에 의해 산정되는 선박충돌력의 부적절성을 거론하였다.

  • In Korea, the current design codes for the bridge vessel collision load are based on AASHTO LRFD code which derived from the mean collision forces of the Woisin's test. To estimate the conservativeness of the code, in this study, the mean forces of head on collisions were evaluated from the mass-acceleration relationship of vessel and the deformation-kinetic energy relationship of bow those obtained from the series of nonlinear finite element analysis, and the mean forces were compared to that in AASHTO design code. As results, the variations of the mean forces versus the sizes of vessels were represented similar tendency, even those of the code are very conservative. However, the variations of mean collision force versus those of collision speeds were dominated by the plastic deformation of bow and it was differ from those of the code that have linear relationship with the collision speeds.

  • Golf clubs hit the ball, and golf balls fly with great speed and long distances due to the conflict. In this paper, the size of the momentum after collision of golf clubs and golf balls should seek. Also, the collision times and average force that served of golf clubs and golf balls are obtained. We know that the impulse acting body is equals the change in momentum of a body. And you can see the average force is constant force that the actual strength of a body to give the same impulse instead of force changing by the hour.

Peak Impact Force of Ship Bridge Collision Based on Neural Network Model (신경망 모델을 이용한 선박-교각 최대 충돌력 추정 연구)

  • The collision between a ship and bridge across a waterway may result in extremely serious consequences that may endanger the safety of life and property. Therefore, factors affecting ship bridge collision must be investigated, and the impact force should be discussed based on various collision conditions. In this study, a finite element model of ship bridge collision is established, and the peak impact force of a ship bridge collision based on 50 operating conditions combined with three input parameters, i.e., ship loading condition, ship speed, and ship bridge collision angle, is calculated via numerical simulation. Using neural network models trained with the numerical simulation results, the prediction model of the peak impact force of ship bridge collision involving an extremely short calculation time on the order of milliseconds is established. The neural network models used in this study are the basic backpropagation neural network model and Elman neural network model, which can manage temporal information. The accuracy of the neural network models is verified using 10 test samples based on the operating conditions. Results of a verification test show that the Elman neural network model performs better than the backpropagation neural network model, with a mean relative error of 4.566% and relative errors of less than 5% in 8 among 10 test cases. The trained neural network can yield a reliable ship bridge collision force instantaneously only when the required parameters are specified and a nonlinear finite element solution process is not required. The proposed model can be used to predict whether a catastrophic collision will occur during ship navigation, and thus hence the safety of crew operating the ship.

Posterior Internal Impingement of the Shoulder in Baseball Players -Preliminary Report of 5 Cases Study- (야구 선수에서의 견관절 내부 후방 충돌 -5예에 대한 예비보고-)

  • Purpose: To investigate the arthroscopic findings, and to evaluate the clinical outcomes of the treatment of posterior internal impingement of the shoulder in baseball players. Materials and Methods: We followed up 5 cases who were diagnosed as posterior internal impingement for the mean 15 months. All of the cases complained of the pain in the posterior shoulder at late cocking, and were positive in the relocation test added by hyper-horizontal abduction at $120^{\circ}$ abduction of the arm. We sutured posterior labral tear and SLAP lesion arthroscopically, and conducted debridement for rotator cuff. Three cases were performed of anterior capsular plication and the other two were performed of thermal capsular shrinkage. Pain, range of motion, and level of return to sports activity were assessed for the results. Results: As to the arthroscopic findings, all the five cases showed the fraying in posterosuperior labrum, and two of them was accompanied with the flap tear in posterosuperior labrum and the other one was accompanied with type 2 SLAP lesion. All the cases showed the fraying in supraspinatus, and one case showed partial tear. Meanwhile, in all the cases, the rotator cuff was impinged to the labrum at $90^{\circ}{\sim}120^{\circ}$ of abduction and external rotation. As to the postoperative results, all the cases did not complain of pain or instability while pitching, and the competition was recovered to be the mean 88%($80{\sim}100%$) of that before the injury. Conclusion: Definite diagnosis for the posterior internal impingement would be possible through arthroscopic examination. Favorable outcomes could be obtained with capsular plication or shrinkage for anterior microinstability and stretching exercise for posterior capsule tightness inducing the internal impingement.

  • Purpose : To evaluate the clinical and radiological characteristics of osteochondral ridges of talus and ankle. Materials and Methods : We have analyzed their clinical symptoms and signs, radiologic and CT findings and post-operative results in 17 ankle joints of 14 patients (bilateral in 3), followed them for average 13 months after surgical excision. Results : No definite trauma, but mostly in male after middle age. Their chief complaints are pain on ankle, especially in dorsiflexion or squatting position, and symptom durations are very long, more than average 15 months. Definite diagnosis was made by lateral radiograms of ankle joint. Osteochondral ridges are common in talar neck (10 cases), tibia (4 cases) and both side (3 cases). After excision of osteophytes, all patients gained normal ankle without pain and any limited motion. Conclusions : Anterior impingement syndromes are common in middle aged male, but no definite correlation with sports. Plantar and dorsiflexed lateral radiographs are helpful in definite diagnosis for impingement, and surgical excision is best for treatment.

Comparison of Isokinetic Strength between Stage 1,2 Impingement Syndrome and Rotator Cuff Tear (1, 2단계 충돌 증후군과 회전근 개 파열 환자의 등속성 근력 비교)

  • Purpose: The goal of this study was to evaluate differences in strength deficits between (i) patients with stage 1 or 2 impingement syndrome and (ii) patients with rotator cuff tears. Materials and Methods: We enrolled 43 patients with stage 1 or 2 impingement syndrome (group 1) and 21 patients with rotator cuff tears (group 2). The isokinetic strength of both groups was evaluated at $60^{\circ}/sec$ for external rotation, internal rotation, adduction and abduction. We measured the peak torque, total work, average power of bilateral sides, peak torque relationship to body weight, and the ratio between unilateral agonist and antagonist. Results: The isokinetic strength deficits assessed in ratio of peak torque to body weight for group 1 and group 2 respectively were; $28.48{\pm}23.76%$ and $29.12{\pm}32.81%$ for abduction (p=0.929), $7.20{\pm}13.98%$ and $18.94{\pm}19.52%$; for adduction (p=0.021), $16.88{\pm}13.76%$ and $25.80{\pm}24.07%$; for external rotation (p=0.221), and $14.1{\pm}25.67%$ and $29.02{\pm}35.06%$ for internal rotation (p=0.059). For average power and total work, group 2 showed a significantly greater deficit for adduction and internal rotation than group 1. Conclusion: Those with rotator cuff tears have more isokinetic muscle strength deficits than those with stage 1 or 2 impingement syndrome. Progression from stage 1 and 2 impingement syndrome to stage 3 may result in greatest changes in strength deficits for internal rotation and adduction.

스퍼터링으로 제조된 비정질 카본박막의 특성

  • 비정질 카본 박막은 다이아몬드와 유사한 높은 경도, 내마모성, 윤활성, 전기절연성, 화학적 안정성, 그리고 광학적 특성을 가진 재료로서 플라즈마 CVD를 이용한 합성방법으로 제조된 박막이 주로 연구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 마그네트론 스퍼터링을 이용하여 다양한 조건의 카본 박막을 제조하였다. 카본 박막의 제조는 이온빔이 장착된 고진공 증착 장치를 이용하였고 시편의 청정시 사용된 이온빔의 조건은 빔 전압이 500V, 빔 전류는 0.1mA/cm2로 기판 청정을 거친 후 DC 마그네트론 스퍼터링을 이용하여 흑연을 증발시켜 박막을 제조하였다. 기판과 타겟의 거리는 13cm로 고정시킨 후 타겟 전류는 1A로 유지하면서 30분간 증착하였다. 기판은 Si-wafer와 glass를 주로 사용하였으며 기판 인가전압, 아세틸렌 유량, 기판 온도등을 변화시켜가면서 각각 카본 박막을 제조하였다. 비정질 카본박막의 막은 평균 두께는 0.4~1.2$\mu\textrm{m}$이며 SEM을 이용하여 단면의 성장구조를 관찰하였다. 라만 분광분석과 FTIR 분광분석을 통하여 비정질 카본 박막의 결합특성을 조사하였고 scratch tester를 이용하여 박막의 밀찰력을 관찰하였다. 제조된 박막의 두께는 아세틸렌 가스 이용시 1$\mu\textrm{m}$ 이상의 박막의 제조가 가능하였으며 카본 박막의 라만 분광특성은 고체 탄소 물질의 S와 G-peak으로 구성되어 있으며 기판 인가전압, 아세틸렌 가스 유량 변화에 따른 peak의 위치 이동 및 FWHM의 변화를 관찰하였다. RFIR 결과는 아세틸렌 가스의 유량이 증가에 따라 C-H 결합 분포가 증가며 기판 인가 전압이 증가할수록 C-H 결합분포가 감소하는 경향이 나타냈다. 이는 이온 충돌 효과에 따라 결합력이 약한 C-H 결합이 우선적으로 파괴되는 현상으로 생각되어 진다. Scartch tester 측정 결과 박막의 밀착력은 실험조건에 따른 경샹성은 보이고 있지 않으나 10N 정도이며 60N 이상의 강한 밀착력을 가진 박막도 제조되었다.

Design Equation for Predicting the Residual Strength of Damaged Tubulars Under Combined Axial Compression and Hydrostatic Pressure (축 압축력과 수압하의 손상된 원통의 잔류 강도 추정을 위한 설계식)

  • Recently the residual strength of damaged tubulars under axial compression has extensively been investigated. However, in spite of the possibility of damage onto underwater members of offshore structures as results of collisions, dropped objects and other accidental impacts occurring in service or during fabrication or installation, no research works on the structural behaviour of damaged tubulars under combined loadings including hydrostatic pressure have been reported in the literature. In this paper, a numerical method has been proposed to estimate the residual strength of damaged tubulars under combined loadings, and then the proposed method has been substantiated with corresponding test data. A simple design equation has been derived based upon the results of the parametric study using the proposed method. The accuracy of the predictions using the derived equation is found to be a 10.1% COV(Coefficient of Variation) together with an 1. 037 mean comparing with the test data.

이온빔 보조 증착으로 제조된 카본 박막의 특성 연구

  • 카본 박막은 내마모성, 내산성, 윤활성 및 높은 경도를 가지고 있어, 경질 박막 및 기능성 박막으로 주목을 받고 있으며 그 응용 분야가 매우 크다. 본 연구는 전자빔(Electron Beam)을 카본 grain을 증발시킴과 동시에 아르곤 보조 이온빔을 조사시켜 이온에너지에 따른 박막의 물성변화를 관찰하였다. 특히 본 연구에서 이용한 이온빔 증착 장치의 장점은 이온 충돌 에너지의 조절이 가능하다는 것이다. 카본 박막의 제조는 이온빔이 증착된 고진공 증착 장치를 이용하였고 이원빔원으로는 Oxford Applied Research 사의 RF 방전형 이온빔을 이용하였다. 배기장치는 유회전펌프와 터보펌프를 사용하였다. 기판은 홀더에 장착하기 전에 전처리를 거친 후 용기 내에서 이온빔에 의해 2차 청정을 하였다. 빔전압이 500V, 빔 전류는 4mA/cm2 및 RF power를 400W로 하여 기판 청정을 거친 후 전자빔을 이용하여 흑연을 증발시켜 박막을 제조하였다. 이때 이온빔 전압을 100~500V, RF power를 400~550W 으로 조절하였다. 카본 grain을 Si 및 Slide Glass 기판위에 1$\AA$/sec의 증착율을 유지하면서 증착하였다. 카본 박막의 박막은 평균두께는 0.3~0.4$\mu\textrm{m}$이며 SEM을 이용하여 단면을 관찰하였다. 라만 분광분석을 통하여 비정질 카본 박막의 결합특성을 조사하였고 scratch tester를 이용하여 박막의 밀착력을 관찰하였다. 그리고 카본 박막의 전도도 특성을 알고자 비저항을 측정하였으며, 박막의 성분 분석을 위한 AES 분석을 하였다. 1)AES 결과:표면에서와 박막 내부에서는 불순물인 산소나 질소의 함량이 거의 존재하지 않음을 관찰하였다. 2)경도:1,000~1,400kg/mm2 3)라만 분광 분석:300V의 이온 에너지를 분기로 박막 구조의 변화에 의한 스팩트럼의 변화를 보였다. 4)비저항:10-2~10-1$\Omega$.cm
