Routing scheme and structure of crossed incomplete hypercube for enhancing performance (성능 향상을 위한 교차된 불완전 하이퍼큐브의 구조 및 경로배정 기법)

  • Hypercube has some advantages such as small diameter between nodes and relatively simple routing scheme, so it is one of the most popular interconnection networks used in real systems. But to make this structure more practical, it is required to reduce its diameter and to be able to expand it to any number of nodes. In this study, we proposed a Crossed Incomplete Hypercube structure. This scheme is based on the previous Crossed Hypercube topology that reduces the diameter about 50% and has the same complexity with general hypercube and is able to expand to any number of nodes. We also proposed a fixed routing scheme for this structure. In the repect of the average path and the average routing time, this structure shows an enhanced performance about 30% and it is enhanced about 20% ifn the average traffic density.

  • This study was carried out to provide standardization for mushroom production of high quality at farmhouse. The standardization does much to improve merchantable quality, distribution efficiency and fair dealings by shipping of the standard agricultural products. Therefore, modification of these standards is required to fit farmhouse situations. The standardization for production of Pleurotus eryngii of high quality follows like this. A grades were above 90 g at average weight, more 50 mm at stipe thick, 1.6~1.7 at stipe length/stipe thick rate and 1.1~1.2 at pileus diameter/stipe thick ratio. B grades were more 45 g at average weight, above 40 mm at stipe thick, 1.8~1.9 at stipe length/stipe thick ratio and 1.2~1.4 at pileus diameter/stipe thick ratio.

A Study of Spray Characteristics of the Rotating Fuel Nozzle with Orifice Diameters (회전연료노즐의 오리피스직경에 따른 분사특성연구)

  • An experimental study was performed to understand spray characteristics of the V type rotating fuel nozzle with orifice diameters by using high speed rotational system. The experimental apparatus consist of a high speed rotational system, fuel injection system and acrylic case. The droplet size and velocity were measured by PDPA(Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer) and spray was visualized by using Nd-Yag laser-based flash photography. From the test results, droplet size is reduced with increasing orifice diameter up to the critical value. When increasing orifice diameter over than this critical value, droplet size is not decreased with increasing the orifice diameter. This is due to the irregular distribution of the liquid sheet around the inner surface of injection orifice.

Changes in Soil Temperature, Moisture Content, Light Availability and Diameter Growth After Thinning in Korean Pine (Pinus koraiensis) Plantation (잣나무 임분 내 간벌 후 토양 온도, 수분, 광 유효도 및 직경생장 변화)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the changes in soil temperature, soil moisture content, light availability (photosynthetically active radiation, PAR) and diameter growth in 46-year-old Korean pine (Pinus koraiensis Siebold et Zuccarini) plantation located in Gwangneung experimental forest after 4 years from thinning. Three different thinning intensities [control, 45%(T45), and 60%(T60) basal area reduction] were applied in 2004. Mean soil temperature and soil water content were $8.9^{\circ}C$ and 14.3% for control, $10^{\circ}C$ and 16.1% for T45 and $10.2^{\circ}C$ and 16.1% for T60, respectively. Mean soil temperature and moisture content were significantly different among the treatment plots (p<0.05). Mean PAR in control, T45 and T60 was 44, 143 and178 ${\mu}mol/m^2$/sec, respectively and the differences were also statistically significant among the treatment plots (p<0.05). Mean annual diameter growth in control, T45 and T60 was 0.4, 1.5 and 1.2 mm, respectively. Diameter growth of Pinus koraiensis was steadily increased after thinning in comparison to control. Consequently, the results suggested that soil temperature, soil moisture content and light availability were likely to last beyond the 4 years after thinning in this Korean pine plantation.

Estimation of Microclimate by Site Types in Natural Deciduous Forest and Relation between Periodic Annual Increment of Diameter and the Microclimatic Estimates - A Case Study on the National Forest in Pyungchung, Kangwon Province - (천연 활엽수림의 입지 유형별 미기후 추정과 직경생장과의 관계 - 강원도 평창 지역 국유림을 중심으로 -)

  • This study was conducted to estimate microclimate of natural deciduous forest in national forest of Pyungchang, Kangwon province and to investigate the effects of the microclimatic conditions on the periodic annual increment of diameter by site types. In this study, site was first classified by nine types considering both elevation (higher than 1,000 m, 700∼1,000 m, and lower than 700 m) and topographical conditions (ridge, slope and valley). For each of site types, diameter growth was measured by using increment borer and periodic annual increment of diameter was then analyzed. A topoclimatological technique, for estimating microclimatic conditions, which make use of empirical relationships between the topographical factor and the climatic normals in the study area was applied to produce monthly mean, maximum and minimum temperatures, relative humidity, precipitation and hours of sunshine. From these monthly estimtes, 17 weather variables such as warmth index, coldness index, index of aridity etc. which affect the diameter growth were computed for each of site types. The periodic annual increment of diameter was then correlated with and regressed on the 17 weather variables to examine effects of microclimatic conditions on the diameter growth by site types. From the correlation analysis, it was found that the diameter growth by site types was positively correlated with all of 17 weather variables except the warmth index. Especially, the conditions such as high relative humidity and large amount of sunshine hours provide favorable environment for the growth of diameter. On the other hand, it was also found that diameter growth was negatively iufluenced by warmth index. According to the regression analysis, the periodic annual increment of diameter could be well predicted by index of aridity and mean relative humidity for the growing season.

하이브리드 모터를 적용한 초소형 공중발사체 설계

  • 초소형 공중발사체 설계 시 하이브리드 모터의 적용가능성에 대한 연구를 실시하였다. HTPB/LOX를 추진제로 하여 마차바퀴형 연료 그레인, 산화제 탱크 가압방식을 사용하였고, 성능특성을 계산하기 위하여 하이브리드 연료의 연소율이 일정하다고 가정 하였다. 본 연구에 사용된 임무는 중량 3.5kg의 나노위성을 근지점 고도 200km, 원지점 고도 1,500km의 타원궤도로 진입시키는 것을 목적으로 하는 로켓의 1단 부분에 관한 것으로 1단의 발사속도는 M=1.3, 발사고도는 12km, 연소종료 고도는 40km이다. 1단에 대한 페이로드 중량은 127.5kg이고, 속도증가분($\Delta$V)은 3,330m/s이다. 모선은 F-4E를 사용하였고 모선의 특성상 발사체의 총 중량이 1,000kg이하로 제한되고 길이와 직경이 5m${\times}$5m로 제한되나 1단에 대한 길이의 제한조건은 현재까지 명확히 정립되지 않은 상태이다. 설계과정에서의 변수는 연료 그레인 포트 개수, 초기 산화제 플럭스, 연소실 압력을 사용했고, 설계 제한조건은 추진제 중량, 평균 비추력, 평균 추력, 연소시간, 1단 길이, 직경, 연소시간이고, 이들의 범위는 모선의 특성과 초소형 공중발사체의 임무특성에 맞게 설정하였다.

  • 현재 우리나라 입자상물질에 대한 대기환경기준은 공기역학적 직경 10 $\mu\textrm{m}$ 이하인 PM$_{10}$ 기준이 연평균 70 $\mu\textrm{g}$/㎥ 및 일평균 150 $\mu\textrm{g}$/㎥이다. 그러나 영국의 PM$_{10}$ 기준은 24시간 평균 50 $\mu\textrm{g}$/㎥로 강화하여 입자상물질에 의한 건강피해를 줄이기 위해 노력하고 있다(EPAQS, 1995). 분진은 공기역학적 직경 2.5 $\mu\textrm{m}$를 기준으로 미세입자와 거대입자로 나누어지는 쌍극분포의 형태(Whitby et al., 1972)를 나타내며, 분진이 인체에 미치는 영향에 관한 많은 연구를 통해 10 $\mu\textrm{m}$ 이하의 입자가 호흡성 분진으로 인체에 더 유해한 영향을 미치고 있음이 밝혀졌다(Emison, 1988).   • 현대농업에서 잡초를 조기에 제거하지 못할 경우 작물의 성장에 장애를 초래하므로 제초작업은 매우 중요하다. 최근 친환경 고품질 농산물에 대한 소비자의 관심과 고품질 농산물에 대한 가격 차별화 등으로 제초제를 사용하지 않은 친환경 재배가 주목을 받고 있다. 제초제는 농작물에 따라 분류가 되어있어 종류마다 효과가 다르고 사용방법이 종류에 따라 어떻게 사용되는지 알기가 쉽지 않아 이에 따른 피해 또한 무시 할 수 없다. 현재 상용화되어 있는 제초기는 굴곡이 있는 고랑의 잡초를 효율적으로 제거하기 어려워 밭작물 제초작업에 사용하기 부적합하다. 밭작물 재배 기간에 행해지는 고랑의 제초작업은 평지보다 더 많은 힘이 필요하고 일반적인 제초기로는 좋은 결과를 얻기 어렵다. 또한 제초 작업시 농작물 피해와 멀칭 비닐을 손상시키는 문제가 발생 하고 있다. 따라서 밭작물에 효율적인 잡초를 제거하기 위해 굴곡이 있는 지형의 잡초를 제거하기 위한 제초기 개발이 반드시 필요하다. 밭작물용 제초기를 개발하기 위해 굴곡이 있는 고랑의 잡초 제거가 가능한 제초날의 형상 설계가 우선되어야 하며, 고랑의 잡초제거를 위한 제초날 형상설계를 하기 위해 우리나라 주요 밭작물 재배지의 이랑 넓이, 고랑 깊이 및 고랑 폭을 조사 분석하였다. 조사 작물 대상은 양파, 마늘, 무, 배추, 고추, 당근, 감자 총 7가지 작물을 대상으로 조사하였으며, 각 작물들의 이랑 넓이와 고랑 깊이 및 폭의 평균치를 구하여 제초날 설계에 적용하고자 하였다. 범위가 있는 수치는 높은 수치를 기준으로 계산하였으며 고랑의 평균 폭은 34.2cm이고, 고랑의 평균 깊이는 22.1cm가 나타났다. 잡초를 효과적으로 제거하기 위해 제초날의 형상은 고랑의 크기 및 형태에 맞게 원형으로 설계를 하여야 한다. 형상 설계는 밭작물 고랑 평균직경 및 평균높이를 고려하고, 제초작업시 제초날이 작물 및 멀칭비닐의 손상 하지 않도록 하기 위해 직경은 고랑 평균 폭의 75% 정도 치수로 형상을 설계하고, 제초날 깊이는 고랑의 굴곡형태을 고려할 때 제초날 반경의 70%정도로 설계하여 원형제초날 폭 250mm, 제초날 깊이 87.5mm로 설계해야 할 것으로 분석 되었다.

Diameters of the Thoracic Aorta Measured with Multidetector Computed Tomography (다중검출 전산화 단층촬영을 이용하여 측정한 흉부대동맥의 직경)

  • Background: Background: Computed tomography (CT) is the main tool for detecting abnormalities of the thoracic aorta, but conventional CT only shows the cross-sectional images. These CT images have some limitations fo accuratly measuring the thoracic aortic diameters at various levels. Multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) overcomes these limitations. We measured the thoracic aortic diameter perpendicular to the loop-shaped thoracic aortic course and this was studied in relation to age, gender, height, weight, the body surface area, the body mass index and the presence of hypertension. Material and Method: Thirty hundred thirty one patients (males: 141 patients and females: 190 patients) who had no abnormalities of the thoracic aorta were investigated using MDCT aortography. They were divided into three age categories: 20~39 years old, 40~59 years old and over age 60. The image was reformed with multiplanar reconstruction and the diameter of the aorta was measured perpendicular to the aortic course at 5 anatomic segments. Level A was the mid-ascending aorta, level B was the distal ascending aorta, level C was the aortic arch, level D was the aortic isthmus and level E was the mid-descending aorta. Result: The mean age was 49.5 years old for males and 54.9 years old for females (p<0.05). The mean diameter of the thoracic aorta at level A was 31.1 mm, that at level B was 30.2 mm, that at level C was 26.5 mm, that at level D was 24.0 mm and that at level E was 22.6 mm. The diameters at all the levels were gradually increased with age. Hypertensive patients had larger diameters than did the non-hypertensive population. There was a positive correlation between the ascending aortic diameter (levels A&B) and height and the body surface area, but there were no statistical differences at the aortic arch (level C) and the descending aorta (levels D&E). There were no statistical differences of the weight and body mass index at all levels. Conclusion: The diameters of the thoracic aortas were directly correlated with gender, age and hypertension. Height and the body surface area were only correlated with the ascending aorta. Weight and the body mass index have no statistical difference at all levels. We measured the age related thoracic aortic diameters and the upper normal limits and we provide this data as reference values for the thoracic aortic diameter in the Korean population.

Development of Estimation Equation for Minimum and Maximum DBH Using National Forest Inventory (국가산림자원조사 자료를 이용한 최저·최고 흉고직경 추정식 개발)

  • In accordance with a change in the management information system containing the management record and planning for the entire national forest in South Korea by an amendment of the relevant law (The national forest management planning and methods, Korea Forest Service), in this study, average, the maximum, and the minimum values for DBH were presented while only average values were required before the amendment. In this regard, there is a need for an estimation algorithm by which all the existing values for DBH established before the revision can be converted to the highest and the lowest ones. The purpose of this study is to develop an estimation equation to automatically show the minimum and the maximum values for DBH for 12 main tree species from the data in the national forest management information system. In order to develop the estimation equation for the minimum and the maximum values for DBH, there was exploited the 6,858 fixed sample plots of the fifth and the sixth national forest inventory between in 2006 and 2015. Two estimation models were applied for DBH-tree age and DHB-tree height using such growth variables as DBH, tree age, and height, to draw the estimation equation for the maximum and the minimum values for DBH. The findings showed that the most suitable model to estimate the minimum and the maximum values for DBH was Dmin=a+bD+cH, Dmax=a+bD+cH with the variables of DBH and height. Based on these optimal models, the estimation equation was devised for the minimum and the maximum values for DBH for the 12 main tree species.
