A Study on the Localization Method for the Autonomous Navigation of Synchro Drive Mobile Robot (동기 구동형 이동로봇의 자율주행을 위한 위치측정과 경로계획에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, we have proposed a motion equation to control synchro drive mobile robot, a path plan to compute and track the best path to given destination and a technique utilizing uniform distribution and cluster management based Monte Carlo localization to have track current position of moving robot. In the localization test which was repeated 73 times resulted as following. The average process time of original Monte Carlo localization was 12.8ms. The proposed cluster management Monte Carlo localization resulted 9.3ms. Also the proposed method resulted correctly in the cases where original method failed.

  • 본 기술사례는 과학기술부가 주도하는 자연재해방재기술개발 국가중점연구사업 중 기상청주관의 기상지진기술개발사업의 한반도 지각속도 구조연구 과제 중 서산지역과 포항지역을 연결하는 200km 측선에서 2차원 지각구조를 밝히기 위한 지각규모 굴절파탐사의 지진동 source 제공을 위해 발파로 실시하였다. 본 연구를 위하여 국내에서는 거의 실행해 본 경우가 없는 지발당 장약량이 500~1000kg발파를 실시하였다. 200개의 계측지점에 지진동이 전달될 수 있도록 충분한 폭속을 가진 폭약과 외부의 충격과 우수한 기폭력, 시차가 정확한 비전기뇌관을 특수 제작하여 사용하였다. 시추공내로 유출되는 물에 의한 사압을 방지하기 위하여 폭약은 철관용기를 제작하여 벌크형태로 장약을 하여 발파를 하였다. 발파전 용기 밀폐 시험 및 용기제작 후 기폭실험, 수압작용으로 인한 폭약 및 뇌관에 미치는 영향 등을 실험을 통하여 사전 파악을 하였다. 또한 실제 발파 중 진동차를 측정한 결과 보안물건에 대한 진동치값은 미광무국식(USBM)을 이용하여 예측한 진동치보다 평균 180% 정도 높게 나타났다.

  • 태양 광구표면에서 시선방향 자기장 자료를 살펴보면 그 극성이 변하는 지점들이 선의 형태로 보이는데 이것을 Magnetic Polarity Inversion Line(MPIL) 혹은 Neutral Line이라 부른다. 기존의 연구에 의하면 태양활동영역에서 MPIL의 길이가 길수록 플레어 및 코로나물질방출(CME)과 같은 큰 규모의 분출현상들이 일어나는 빈도가 높다는 사실이 보고된 바 있다. 이런 점에서 볼 때 MPIL이 우주환경 예보의 측면에서 중요한 도구가 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 하지만 여전히 MPIL의 기하학적, 물리적 특성 및 그 형성과 진화과정에 대한 이해가 부족한 상황이다. 우리는 본 연구에서 SOHO/MDI 시선방향 자기장 자료를 사용하여 태양활동 23주기에 나타난 308개의 태양활동영역에 대하여 MPIL의 길이, 곡률과 같은 기하학적인 특성을 연구하였고, 또한 MPIL주변의 자기장(평균 자기선속, 총 자기선속 등) 및 magnetic fragment들의 속도장(평균속력, 수렴 및 발산정도, vorticity 등)과 같은 물리적인 특성에 대한 통계적 조사를 수행하였다.

Analysis on Propagation of Highway Traffic Flow Turbulence at Entrance-Ramp Junctions (난류현상을 이용한 고속도로 합류부의 영향권 세분화 연구)

  • This study is aiming to separate highway entrance ramps from impact zones which are considered the characteristics and real traffic situations in each lane and section. The results of this study can be applied to Lane Control System and control the traffic flow for highway more efficiently. Based on earlier studies which analyzed impact zones in entrance-ramp junction using the standard deviation of speed, this study divides more segmentalized impact zones according to the degree of turbulences. As a result of this study, about 800m of intervals, from 500m of upper flow (1,2,3 lane) to 300m of lower flow(2, 3 lane), shows similar traffic characteristics influenced by entrance ramp directly.

  • In this paper, we design and implement the HealthSchedule app, which records exercise data based on the GPS sensor embedded in smartphones. This app utilizes the smartphone's GPS sensor to collect real-time location information of the user and displays the movement path to the designated destination. It records the user's actual path using latitude and longitude coordinates. Users register exercise activities and destination points when scheduling, and initiate the exercise. When measuring the current location, a lime green departure marker is generated, and the movement path is displayed in blue, with the destination marker and a surrounding 25-meter radius circle shown in sky blue. Using the coordinates of the starting point or the previous location and the current GPS sensor-transmitted location coordinates, it measures the distance traveled, time taken, and calculates the speed. Furthermore, it accumulates measurement data to provide information on the total distance traveled, movement path, and overall average speed. Even when reaching the destination during exercise, the movement path continues to accumulate until the completion button is clicked. The completion button is activated when the user moves into the sky blue circular area with a radius of 25 meters, centered around the initially set destination. This means that the user must reach the designated destination, and if they wish to continue exercising without clicking the completion button, they can do so. Depending on the selected exercise type, the app displays the calories burned, aiming to increase user engagement and a sense of accomplishment.

Evaluation of the Estimate Algorithms for Link Travel Time from GPS Probe Data (GPS수신정보에 의한 구간통행속도 예측 알고리즘 비교평가)

  • This study analyzed errors of data received from GPS which showed different reception characteristics based on chipset at poor reception area. The digital map made from National Police Agency shows 4% errors of length on the average. The comparison of three different algorithms - Average Spot Speed, Cumulative Travel Length from GPS with Actual Travel Time, Travel Length from Digital Map with Actual Travel Time have been conducted to find significant difference estimating travel time from GPS Data. The algorithm to estimate travel time from travel length and travel time showed the most reliable results from the others.

Analysis of the Mechanism of Automated Speed Enforcement Systems on Traffic Safety (자동과속단속시스템의 교통안전개선 메커니즘 분석)

  • The increasing interest in the use of Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) systems in Korea enables to enforce speed violation by National Police Agency. We have analyzed the mechanism of ASE systems on traffic safety throughout Korea. 1 The data collected on a 2km road-section of each 32 ASE stations during one rear period indicate significant safety improvement. The results were (a) a decrease in the total number of accidents of 28%, (b) a decrease in the number of fatalities of 60%. 2. The study also that ASE systems are effective to reduce average speed, speed variance, and short headway. 3. Based on the operational data collected at 15 locations, an aggregate safety prediction model is proposed as a multiple regressions form. The primary operational variables that appear to affect the frequencies of accident are : average speed, speed variance, and the number of vehicles exceeding 30km/h of posted speed limit.

A Study on the Speed Variation Characteristics According to Tunnel Intervals in the Continuous Tunnel Conditions (연속터널구간에서 터널간격에 따른 속도변화특성에 관한 연구)

  • This thesis is based on the speed variations which are observed both in a sing1e tunnel and a continuous tunnel. Kumdae II tunnel and Chiak I tunnel of Jungang Expressway are selected in order to analyze the characteristics of speed variations according to tunnel intervals I place importance on the computation of tunnel intervals according to the speed variations. there's a summary of the results. The results of the study reveal that speed changes occur both on 1km ahead of tunnel and within the tunnel. The speed change amounts to 7.1km/hr(6.7%) on these survey Points 2.7km/hr (2.9%) on access points, and from -3.6km/hr (-3.8%) to, +4.1km/hr(+4.7%) irregularly on egress points. The magnitude of speed chance appears small on the survey points where an interval of tunnel is short whereas the speed chance turn out to be rather significant on the points where the tunnel interval is long. The analysis of tunnel distances using multiple regression models shows that the appropriate tunnel distance turns out to be 732m. The distance of 732m seem to be providing a fecundation for uniform traffic flow in continuous tunnel conditions.

Near-surface P- and S-wave Velocity Structures in the Vicinity of the Cheongcheon Dam (청천댐 주변의 천부 P파 및 S파 속도구조)

  • On and near the 23-m high earthen Cheongcheon dam in Boryeong City, Korea, short seismic refraction and surface-wave profiles were conducted using a 5-kg sledgehammer. From vertical and horizontal components of the seismic waves, near-surface P-wave velocities (${\nu}_p$) and S-wave velocities (${\nu}_s$) were derived by inverting first-arrival refraction times and dispersion curves of Rayleigh waves. Average ${\nu}_p$ and ${\nu}_s$ for the Jurassic sedimentary basement were determined to be 1650 and 950 m/s at a depth of 30 m directly beneath the dam and 1650 m/s and 940 m/s at a depth of 10 m at the toe of the dam, respectively. The dynamic Poisson's ratio for these strata were therefore in the range of 0.24 to 0.25, which is consistent with ratios for consolidated sedimentary strata. Near a 45-m borehole 152 m downstream from the dam crest, an SH tomogram indicates a refraction boundary with an average ${\nu}_s$ of 870 m/s at depths of 10 ~ 12 m. At this site, the overburden comprises the upper layer with relatively constant ${\nu}_p$ and ${\nu}_s$ around 500 and 200 m/s, respectively, and the lower layer in which both ${\nu}_p$ and ${\nu}_s$ increase with depth almost linearly. The dynamic Poisson's ratios for the overburden were in the range of 0.30 to 0.43.

  • This study investigates the flow field of multiple-jet measured by hot-wire anemometry. The experiments were classified into two cases; 6- or 7-nozzle located circumferentially in equal interval without or with a central jet. The effect of the number of nozzles the flow field was examined when the Reynolds number based on the nozzle diameter is about $10^4$. Mean Velocity, normal and Reynolds stresses were measured in the downstream of jets. The Tollmien's theory holds far downstream at 48d apart from the nozzle exit especially when a nozzle locates at the center. The general flow characteristics is influenced due to the number of nozzles.
