Quantitative Scoring System on the Importance of Software Vulnerabilities (보안취약점 중요도 정량 평가 체계 연구)

  • We proposed a new scoring system on software vulnerabilities, which calculates quantitatively the severity of software vulnerabilities. The proposed scoring system consists of metrics for vulnerability severity and scoring equations; the metrics are designed to measure the severity of a software vulnerability considering the prevalence of the vulnerability, the risk level of the vulnerability, the domestic market share of the software and the frequency of the software. We applied the proposed scoring system to domestically reported software vulnerabilities, and discussed the effectiveness of the scoring system, comparing it with CVSS and CWSS. We also suggested the prospective utilization areas of the proposed scoring system.

Development of the Evaluation System for Learning Outcomes of Capstone Design Course (캡스톤디자인 교과목의 학습성과 평가체계 개발)

  • This paper introduces a case study on the development of the evaluation system for capstone design course which is usually provided at engineering education program. A capstone design is an engineering education course which aims to improve the students' ability on analysis and design of practical industrial problems by use of overall engineering knowledge which has been learned in undergraduate program. Firstly, this paper provides a literature review on evaluation indices and methods related with a capstone design course. Secondly, the evaluation system for learning outcomes of capstone design course is described. The evaluation system for learning outcomes of capstone design course provided in this paper could be referred by other universities opening a capstone design course, and used to design an evaluation system for internship program or education course which is provided as an industry-academic connection program.

Analysis of Summative Evaluation Objectives in Middle School Biology based on Bloom's Revised Taxonomy of Educational Objectives (Bloom의 신 교육목표분류에 기초한 중학교 생물 영역 총괄 평가 문항의 목표 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out taxonomic characteristics of objectives infered from questions of summative evaluation by analyzing those objectives with Bloom's revised taxonomy of educational objectives. 1,711 questions of midterm and final examinations collected from 25 middle schools were analyzed to classify objective of each question. The major findings of the study were as follows: first, from the analysis of objectives in the knowledge dimension, the assessment of factual knowledge was most prevailing(67.6%) in the biology summative evaluation. In the cognitive process dimension, memory assessment was most dominant(76.1%). Thus, the main objectives of evaluation leaned toward particular classes in the Bloom's revised taxonomy, which was different from the findings of earlier studies on the weights of evaluation areas. Second, the level of the objectives should be determined in consideration of the grade of middle schoolers, as their cognitive level improves with grade. In fact, however, there was no difference among three grades in characteristics of objective taxonomy.

  • The evaluation systems on the National Spatial Information Policy(NSIP) has been changed, since the Establishment and Use of the National Geographic Information System Act(NGIS Act, 2000) was abolished and the National Spatial Data Infrastructure Act(NSDI Act, 2009) was enacted. As compared to the NGIS Act, the policy evaluation systems for National Spatial Information are regarded as unified and centralized. However, some argue that the claim of budget and the legal feasibility of the NSIP was weakened. Given the different views on the two laws, this study aims at analyzing the changes in the evaluation system by comparing the NGIS Act and the NSDI Act. A Comparative Analysis framework is employed. The subjects of the comparative analysis are evaluation mechanism, evaluator, evaluation target and range, after-assessment utilization, and agent. In order to improve the effectiveness of the evaluation system, it is recommended that the clarification of evaluation purposes, institutional enhancement for evaluation agency, the development of evaluation indexes, the combination of top-down approach and bottom -up approach, and the increased linkage between budget and evaluation result.

  • This paper examines the ongoing research on ways to improve cybersecurity during the entire life cycle of weapons systems applied in advanced countries such as the United States, analyzes restrictions on obtaining domestic weapons systems, and presents effective security evaluation measures. By consistently performing mission-based risk assessment in the cybersecurity test and evaluation plan suitable for domestic circumstances at all stages of acquisition, important information is provided to major decision-making organizations in a timely manner to support decision-making, and to respond to identified vulnerabilities in cybersecurity. It is proposed to set the rules of engagement so that the protection measures can be verified, and a simulated invasion is proposed. In addition, the proposed cybersecurity test and evaluation system was compared with the domestic weapon system test and evaluation. Through this, the mission-based risk assessment element was grafted into the cybersecurity test and evaluation system research conducted so far to identify risks in a timely manner between acquisition projects, thereby supplementing the capability to support major decision-making.

  • 자연재해 중 시설 파괴 규모나 인위적 경제적 피해정도에 있어서 지진은 직접적인 피해가 엄청난 재난이다. 특히 현대사회의 산업화로 도시는 인구가 집중되고 시설물이 대형화되면서 그 기능이 복잡다양해지고 있어 지진이 발생할 경우 도시의 사회 경제활동이 장기간 마비되는 사태가 발생하기도 한다. 본 논문에서는 건축물 구조해석에 의한 내진평가체계를 수립하고 내진평가에 필요한 다양한 자료들을 GIS DB화하여 건물의 내진성능평가를 수행함으로써, 개별 건물의 지진위험등급 산정과 GIS기반으로 지진위험도를 체계적으로 평가할 수 있는 정보체계를 구축하여 지진발생시 피해규모 및 범위를 추정할 수 있는 정보체계구축의 가능성을 제시하였다.

  • IT 기술은 최근 20 년간 많은 변화를 가져왔다. 직무를 수행하는 기술자는 변화하는 IT 기술에 맞추어 자신의 기술능력을 개발하고 학습했다. 하지만, 체계를 갖춘 직무구분, 직무에 필요한 IT 기술요소의 정리 및 효과적인 교육과 향상된 기술력에 대한 적절한 평가 및 검증 체계의 부족함을 인지하고 있다. 일례로 ISP 혹은 HRD 컨설팅 서비스를 제공하는 회사도 결과를 도출하는 자사의 프레임워크는 가지고 있으나, IT 기업에 적용해야 하는 적합한 직무체계 및 기술요소의 분류, 평가 및 검증 체계는 제공해 주지 못하고 있다. 본 연구는 IT 기업의 기술능력 향상에 필요한 체계 및 IT 산업계에서 인정하는 표준 직무, 기술, 평가 및 검증에 대한 방향과 이를 실제 기업에서 적용한 적용사례를 바탕으로 그 효율성에 대한 효과를 보여 주고자 한다.

  • These days, along with the information society, the value of information has emerged as a powerful factor for a company's development and sustainability, and therefore, the importance of the Information Security and Management System (ISMS) has emerged and become an integral part of all areas of business. In this paper, ISMS evaluation methods from around the world are compared and analyzed with the standards of various management guidelines, definitions, management of threats and vulnerability, approaches to result calculations, and the evaluation calculation indexes for domestic to propose the best method to evaluate the Information Security Management System that will fit the domestic environment.

  • 1980년대 이후 이동통신은 급격한 발전을 거듭하여 왔다. 이제 음성과 문자 서비스뿐만 아니라 영상 서비스까지도 가능한 IMT-2000 시대를 맞이할 것으로 전망된다. IMT-2000은 기존의 모든 통신서비스를 수용하면서 멀티미디어 서비스로 영역이 점점 더 확장되어 가는 제 3 세대 종합이동통신 시스템을 의미한다. IMT-2000은 기존의 이동통신에서 제공할 수 없었던 서비스가 추가되어가는 단계적인 서비스의 고도화가 예상된다. 이와 같이 IMT-2000 서비스의 요구사항이 단계적으로 발전되어감에 따라 사용자 관점에서 고품질의 서비스를 제공하고 나아가 세계시장에서의 경쟁우위를 달성할 수 있는 고객만족을 전략적으로 추구해야 할 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 이를 위해서 서비스의 단계적인 고도화에 따라 각 서비스의 고객만족 평가체계를 구축하고 전체적으로는 우수한 고객가치를 전달 할 수 있는 지속적인 평가와 개선이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 IMT-2000 서비스의 고객만족 평가속성 체계를 1차적으로 정리하였다. IMT-2000 서비스 시장이 앞으로 어떻게 전개될 지 모르는 불확실한 상황이지만 기존의 고객만족 패러다임과 실무 및 학계에서의 이동통신 관련 고객만족 문헌, IMT-2000 서비스관련 문헌 등을 토대로 고객만족 평가속성들을 체계적으로 도출하고자 하였다. 이후 이론적 타당성과 실증분석을 통해 더욱 체계적인 고객만족속성체계를 제안하고자 한다

The Impact of Wage Scheme and Transparency of Performance Evaluation on the Productivity (기업의 보상체계와 업무평가 투명성의 생산성 효과)

  • This paper analyses an impact of wage scheme and transparency of performance evaluation on the productivity. The main findings in this paper are as follows: First, the effect of wage scheme based on seniority system on the productivity is worse off than the performance pay. Second, there is a positive relationship between an incentive and the productivity, but, in the case of firms which individually informs the results of performance evaluation to their workers, it shows the hump-shaped relationship. Third, though the wage scheme is based on the performance, if the evaluation system is not transparent, the impact of incentive on the productivity is disappeared. Consequently, this paper implies that the appropriate incentive and the transparent performance evaluation system are required so as to improve the productivity.
