서버에 집중화될 트래픽과 부하를 사용자 네트워크 전체로 분산시킬 수 있는 방식을 멀티미디어 스트리밍에 적용하게 되면 이를 채택하지 않았을 경우와 대비하여 그 성능에 큰 편차를 보일 수 있다. 이를 채택한 경우와 그렇게 하지 않았을 경우의 성능대비를 어떻게 어떤 기준치를 가지고 할 것인가가 본 연구의 목적이라 할 수 있다. 최초의 소스를 제공하고 있는 스트리밍 서버로부터 말단에 있는 클라이언트 까지 여러 단계의 연결을 주어진 특정한 환경하에서 (1) 피라미드 계층처럼 형성하여 제시된 "실험군(P2P 방식)"과 (2) 순차적인 방식으로 연결한 그간의 방식 "비교군(유니캐스트 방식)" 간의 성능대비(Performance Evaluation)를 하기 위해서 필요한 척도(Criteria)와 준거틀(Framework)을 제시하는 것이 본 연구의 주된 내용이라 할 수 있다.

This study aims to develop STS modules which consider the local concerns of Korean society and their authentic evaluation instruments. Their titles are as follows: 'Health-Aiding Foods, are they necessary?', 'Competition between Alien and Native Species', 'Living Lesson of Lake Shihwa', and 'Problems of food wastes; Would you like to throw them away, if they are money?' All of them deal with issues unique to Korean local situations. Each module consisted of two versions; a student worksheet and a teachers' guide. Students' activities were categorized into six processes such as group activities, investigation, discussion and presentation, experiments, field trip, and multiple intelligence activities. Various assessment tools and abilities for the decision-making in their STS classes were also included. In order to validate these modules, 24 teachers who have been teaching science, biology and environmental science in the secondary schools reviewed these modules and provided feedbacks about their validity and usefulness. We expect that the various rubrics included in each module will provide teachers creative and flexible assessment methods for students' understandings and their decision-making abilities toward the issues.

The current study examined brain regions associated with aesthetic experience to fractal images using functional MRI. The aesthetic estimations of the images showed that there is a general consensus regarding the perception of beautiful images. Out of 270 fractal images, fifty images rated highest(beautiful images) and fifty images rated lowest(non-beautiful images) were selected and presented to the participants. The two conditions were presented using the block design. Frontal lobes, cingulate gyri, and insula, the areas related to the cognitive and emotional processing in aesthetic experience, were activated when beautiful images were presented. In contrast, the middle occipital gyri and precuneus, the areas associated with experience of negative emotions, were activated when non-beautiful images were presented. The conjunction analysis showed activations in temporal areas in response to beautiful images and activations in parietal areas in response to non-beautiful images. These results indicate that beautiful images elicit semantic interpretations whereas non-beautiful images facilitate abstract processes.

효율성은 산출물의 가치와 그 산출물을 창출해 내기 위해 생산과정에서 소비한 투입물 가치의 비율로 나타낸다 투입물이나 산출물의 시장가격이 존재하는 경우 이 값을 가중치로 이용하여 산출물과 투입물의 가치를 계산할 수 있다. 그러나 투입물과 산출물의 종류가 다양한 경우에는 투입물의 가치를 적절히 평가하기가 쉽지 않다. Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA)모형은 효율성을 여러 가지 투입물의 가중평균에 대한 여러 가지 산출요소의 가중평균의 비율로 표시하며, 특정 의사결정단위의 효율성 정도는 유사한 투입 산출구조를 가지는 준거집단과 비교하여 상대적으로 측정하고자 하는 방법이다. 본 논문에서는 DEA모형의 구조와 이론적 근거, 그리고 적용상의 장단점에 대해 알아 본 뒤 국내 일선우체국의 운영자료를 토대로 하여 공공적인 성격을 띠는 기관의 운영효율성 측정에의 적용사례를 제시하였다. 투입자료로는 '98년 우정사업자료를 중심으로 공통영업비, 우편영업비, 금융영업비, 직원수, 관할가구수, 관할면적, 고정자산 등 7개 변수와 우편영업수익, 금융영업수익, 보험수지차, 배달 및 중계 우편물량, 현금출납 취급건수, 연평잔실적의 6개 변수를 각각 투입물과 산출물 변수로 설정하여 모형을 구축하였다. 분석대상으로 삼은 64개 우체국 전체의 효율성 평균은 82.14%으로 나타났으며 DEA모형의 효율성결과와 기존에 이미 발표된 정보통신부 평가결과와의 상관관계는 0.46291로 강하지는 않지만 두 변수간에는 정(正)의 상관관계가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

In this paper, we propose a revised Deep Convolutional Neural Network (DCNN) model to extract Protein-Protein Interaction (PPIs) from the scientific literature. The proposed method has the merit of improving performance by applying various global features in addition to the simple lexical features used in conventional relation extraction approaches. In the experiments using AIMed, which is the most famous collection used for PPI extraction, the proposed model shows state-of-the art scores (78.0 F-score) revealing the best performance so far in this domain. Also, the paper shows that, without conducting feature engineering using complicated language processing, convolutional neural networks with embedding can achieve superior PPIE performance.

A rapid growth in the number of Web courses has been reported in education as the Internet draws attention from the community. However, it should be noted that quality is more important than quantity in education. We need to emphasize on developing and distributing high quality Web materials to achieve high level of excellence in teaching and learning. This paper first addresses the issue of Web courseware evaluation and then analyzes techniques used in current Web courses and proposes technical requirements to improve the quality. Lastly, we show the results of visiting the Edunet, the largest educational site funded by the government, assessing the Web materials designed for elementary students, and propose what needs to be done to improve the quality.

This study examined DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis) and how it measures the efficiency of library units. DEA is a useful nonparametric method to evaluate the relative efficiency of a set of decision making units(DMUs) with multiple inputs and outputs. This study evaluated 102 different public libraries utilizing 4 inputs and 4 outputs focussing on the year 2005. For inefficient libraries, the study analysed the potential improvement and the source of inefficiency comparing the peer groups. The result of this study shows that efficiency of public libraries varies in different localities and forms of operation.

지금까지의 건강예보제가 절대적 생산량이 부족하고, 건강정보에 관한 권위가 제한되어 있었으며, 예측정보의 생산과 적용에 대한 방법론적인 한계 등의 이유로 실패했던 것을 분석해 볼 때 지금 건강예보제 보완을 위해 필요한 점은, 충분한 정보 제공과 정보 수집의 정기성 등이 시급하다고 할 수 있다. 현재 전염병웹보고 시스템과 같은 온라인상으로 접할 수 있는 서비스를 제공하고 있지만, 이에 대한 홍보가 부족하고 정보 또한 신뢰성을 확고히 얻고 있지 못하기 때문에 전염병에 국한되어 있는 정보 제공이 아닌 일반적인 건강 상식과 관련된 분야로 정보 제공의 영역을 확장시켜야 할 것이다. 또한 정보 수집 방법을 명확히 공고하여, 공감대를 형성할 수 있어야 하며, 분류 체계를 명확히 하여, 개개인이 원하는 정보를 찾아 볼 수 있도록 데이터 베이스 작업이 필요하다고 할 수 있다.

최근 정부는 변화하는 환경에 조응하기 위한 혁신적인 국가 R&D 시스템의 도입 및 성과평가 준거 틀의 전환을 시도하고 있다. 이에 연구자 중심의 "정부 R&D 혁신방안(2015)"을 제안하고 기존의 추격형 R&D체제에서 벗어나 질적 우수성 추구로 패러다임 전환과 창의 도전적 R&D에 초점을 맞춘 평가방식, 그리고 행정시스템 간소화 등을 해결해야 할 주요 과제로 제안하고 있다. 하지만, 다양한 이해관계자가 제시한 지속적인 의견 등을 고려할 때, 변화 이슈에 대한 장기적인 R&D 시스템 전개방향은 공감되나, 실행단계에서 실효적 적용은 많은 논의가 필요해 보인다. 특히, 특정 집단의 이해관계를 벗어나기 힘든 경우, 편향된 이슈 및 정책 제안이 제시되거나, 제안된 정책 간 일관성 있는 논리를 설정하기 어렵거나, 불특정 다수의 이해관계자 집단 간 이익 대변 혹은 현실을 벗어나는 이상적인 방향을 제안하는 경우도 있다. 따라서 이해관계자를 넘어서는 통합적 관점에서 사회 전체적 여건을 고려하는 혁신적 국가 R&D 시스템에 대한 정책적 실행방안을 고민해 볼 필요성이 제기된다. 본 연구에서는 우리나라의 과학기술 혁신정책 및 R&D 성과, 주요국 관련 동향 등을 살펴보고 현행 R&D 추진 시스템을 사회 시스템 차원에서 바라보며, 제기되는 관련 이슈에 대한 비판적 담론과 쟁점을 정리 및 분석하였다. 또한, R&D 혁신주체 간 상호작용 및 추진 시스템 효율성 측면의 핵심 이슈를 분석하여 R&D 추진 시스템 중장기 구축방향과 한계도 체계적으로 살펴보았으며, 이를 정리한 실행전략을 제시하였다.

In recent years, security incidents - such as personal information leakage, homepage hacking, DDoS and etc. - targeting finance companies(banks, securities companies, credit card companies, insurance companies and etc.) have increased steadily. In this paper, we analyze problems of information security management level in the existing electronic financial infrastructure from perspective of compliance and information security certification system and propose improvements to enable sustainable high level of information security activities under a comprehensive management system for the financial sector characteristics using ISMS, SECU-STAR and CNIVAM system.
