Investigation of Domain-specificity of Creativity and the 3-year follow-up (창의성 영역문제의 탐색 및 재접근)

  • This study is composed of 2 parts. Study 1 empirically examined (1) the relationships among children's creative performances measured by three product-based assessments (story-telling, collage-making, and math word problems) in three domains, and (2) the relationships between children's general creative thinking skills, measured by two divergent thinking tests, and children's creative performances. Study 2 is a three-year follow up study of the study 1. Study 2 followed up some (71) children who participated in study 1. In study 2, long-term stability of the performance based assessment involving story-telling, collage making, and math problem making were examined during the three-year time period. In addition, study 2 tried to look at the methods effect of the domain issue of creativity, comparing self-report scale and performance-based assessment. The findings of this study support the position that creative ability in young children is rather (but not absolutely) domain-specific. The long-term stability of the performance-based assessments compares favorably with stability figures for other creativity tests. Results also indicate that there are some method effect in explaining the domain issue of creativity. Implication of the study in connection with educational practices for gifted children is discussed.

Comparison of Textbook Objectives and Paper Test Items Based on Physics I 'Space-Time and the Universe' (고등학교 물리 I '시공간과 우주' 단원의 지필평가 문항과 교과서 목표와의 비교)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the paper test items of high school physics I 'Space-Time and the Universe' unit and how similar the textbook goals are to the cognitive and content areas. This study analyzed paper test items used from nine high schools and KICE about the unit. In order to analyze the distribution of items, they were classified by contents and by cognitive level which is knowledge, comprehension and application levels. As conclusion, application level items were a few, and unbalanced contents distribution appeared in school items. In comparison through the ratio difference index, the objectives of the textbook and the school items were very similar, but the similarities were low when comparing the school items with the KICE items. Based on the above, we suggested some ways to increase the validity of test items.

Halo Effect in Evaluating Government Funded Art Programs: The Case of Local Representative Performing Art Festivals (정부지원 공연예술행사 평가의 후광효과: 지역대표공연예술제 성과관리 체계를 중심으로)

  • This research empirically investigated halo effect in evaluating culture and art performance program. We diagnosed halo effect by using correlation analysis, factor analysis, and regression model on results and scores of fifteen evaluation indicators within three categories for the 107 Local Representative Performance Art Festivals in 2014 and 2015. The results indicates strong possibility of halo effect in culture and art performance evaluation. The correlation coefficients between evaluation indicators is higher than 0.5 and factor structure does not match with evaluation categories in both years. Scores in categories and standard deviations also are also significantly correlated with each other. The results implies that more sophisticated standard, diversification of evaluator, education, and meta-anlysis are need to control halo effect.

  • TIMSS 2003 is the third and most recently round of IEA's Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study. In this study, I considered the changes of the mathematics cognitive domain in TIMSS and got some facts for developing assessment framework. And I analyzed 7 countries' achievement in the view of our country Korea, i.e. Singapore, Hongkong, Chinese Taipei, Japan, Netherlands, and Unites States. With the reliable and valid achievement scales for cognitive domains given by ISC, students' achievement scales were analyzed according to country, percentile, and sex in each cognitive domain.

Developing a Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment Package for Successful Aging (성공노화를 위한 포괄적 노인평가 패키지 개발)

  • This is a methodological study designed to develop a comprehensive geriatric assessment package for successful aging of the elderly in various health condition. Assessment items and tools were primarily selected and categorized into 9 domains through the review of existing geriatric assessment tools, which have been used in the clinic and community settings, and the investigation of related articles. We have obtained professional advice from three experts and conducted a preliminary survey (n=15). Based on findings, the final version of comprehensive geriatric assessment package were devised. It was constructed of 29 assessment items in 6 domains of basic, psychologic function, physical function, life style, subjective health state, and environment. It also contained concrete implementation guide of each tool.

Effectiveness of Evaluation for Visiting Care Service Institution: From the User's Point of View (방문요양서비스 기관 평가의 효과성 : 이용자 관점에서)

  • The purpose of this study is to confirm the effectiveness of the evaluation of long-term care insurance visiting care service institutions for the elderly from the user's point of view. To this end, data from a survey of 266 users collected through allocation sampling by region(14 cities and counties) in Jeollabuk-do and public data from 47 institutions were combined and analyzed using a multi-layered model. The main research results are as follows. First, among the five evaluation areas, the higher the score in the 'Rights·Responsibility' area, which is to give users a sense of rights and respect users, the higher the service quality and satisfaction. Second, among the five evaluation areas, the 'Rights·Responsibility' area had an effect on loyalty. In addition, it was found that the 'Outcome' area for satisfaction with institutions and employees and changes in users had an effect on loyalty. Third, it was found that 'Institutional Management', 'Environment·Safety', 'Process' did not affect service quality, satisfaction, and loyalty. Based on these results, it is proposed to reorganize the evaluation scale that users can recognize and that is faithful to the purpose.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 객관적으로 측정가능한 이용자 중심의 정보검색시스템의 인터페이스 평가항목과 세부평가지표를 도출하는 데 있다. 이를 위하여, 정보검색시스템의 이용자 요구사항과 인터페이스 요소를 분석하여 상관관계를 밝히고, 인터페이스 평가영역에 포함되는 인터페이스 요소와 이용자 요구사항을 파악한다. 국내외 인터페이스 평가모델을 종합하여 인터페이스 평가영역 및 지표를 도출하고 전문가 집단의 설문조사를 통해 타당성과 신뢰성을 검증한 인터페이스 평가지표를 정립하고자 한다.

  • 동일한 작업환경과 작업조건을 가정하였을 때, 사고가 발생할 확률은 작업장에서 일하는 모든 사람들에게 거의 균등하다. 그러나 현실은 다른 사람들과 달리 특정하게 사고를 많이 발생시키는 사고 빈발자가 존재한다. 본 연구는 항해사 인 적성 평가도구를 개발하기 위한 기초단계로 항해사의 운항적성 중 지각 운동 영역에서의 운항적성을 평가하고자 하였다. 항해사의 지각 운동 영역에서의 운항적성 평가를 위해 CBT(Computer-Based Test)의 형태로 항해사의 지각 운동 영역을 측정하고자 하였으며, 지각 운동적 기능이 복합적으로 작용되는 항해의 특성 상 복합적인 측정이 가능한 형태로 검사를 구성하고자 하였다.

  • The Teaching & Learning Center plays an important role in increasing the expertise of instructors and for directing the diffusion of innovation not only in primary & secondary education but also in education at the university level. In this study, the Performance Evaluation Model is devised and developed for improving the competency of the Teaching & Learning Center. It consists of three domains - (a) the planning domain, (b) the process domain, and (c) the performance domain - and 11 external indices and 8 internal indices. The Performance Evaluation Index and Guidelines are proposed based on this model.

  • 최근 영재 및 영재교육에 관련된 연구가 다방면에서 진행되고 있으며, 초기에 수학 및 과학 분야 위주로 이루어졌던 영재교육은 정보, 발명, 인문, 예술 등의 기타 분야로 점차 확대되어 가고 있다. 사회적으로는 고도화된 정보화 사회로의 진행과 더불어 정보과학에서도 영재교육데 대한 관심과 중요성이 커지고 있다. 그러나 정보과학의 학문적 역사가 짧고 그 범위의 설정이 어려운 만큼 정보과학 분야의 영재교육에 있어서도 대상자의 선발과 교육이 어려운 것이 사실이다. 특히 영재교육 대상자의 선정과 교육에 필수적인 평가 방식에 대한 학문적 연구가 부족하여 교육 방식의 보완과 창의적인 대상자 선발에 있어 개선에 대한 목소리가 높다. 이에 본 연구에서는 여러 형태의 평가 방식 중 관찰평가가 평가도구로서 어떻게 작용하는지 다면 평가의 측면에서 지필평가와 보완적 작용을 하는지에 대해 연구하였다. 이를 위해 2년간의 학습자들의 지필평가 성적과 관찰평가 중 리커트 척도 방식의 체크리스트와 서술형 관찰 기록지 사이의 상관관계를 통계적으로 분석 하였다. 또한 항목간의 상관관계를 알아보기 위해 체크리스트와 서술형 관찰기록지의 하위 항목간의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 연구 결과 체크리스트의 하위항목 분석을 통해서는 태도와 문제해결 능력 간의 상관관계, 수학적인지영역과 문제해결 능력 간의 유의미한 상관 관계를 알 수 있었으며, 서술형 관찰 기록지 분석을 통해서는 투입 프로그램 적응 능력이라 할 수 있는 과정적 영역은 정의적 영역과 인지적 영역의 상관 관계가 중요함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 평가 방식간의 상관 관계는 지필 평가와 관찰 평가의 유의미한 연관성이 없다는 것이 밝혀졌다. 즉, 정보과학 분야 영재교육 학습자의 잠재 능력이나 사회성, 창의성, 문제해결력 등을 평가하기 위해서는 지필평가와 더불어 관찰평가가 반드시 필요하며 다면평가의 측면에서 상호 보완적인 역할을 한다는 것이다.
