A Study on Remarshalling for AS/RS Platform Based Container Yard (AS/RS 플랫폼 기반 컨테이너 장치장을 위한 리마샬링에 관한 연구)

  • Due to the recent technological advance, new types of AS/RS which can handle containers are being developed, and it is expected that they will be applied to related industries before long. Some companies and institutes in our country have constructed pilot systems for high-density-high-stacking systems and tested them to develop AS/RS-typed warehouses for containers. Along with this kind of construction efforts, development of rules to operate such systems efficiently and safely is also important. When outward-bound shipment is scheduled in container port, re-marshalling which rearranges containers in the yard to make shipment easy is conducted. In this paper, operating rules for the re-marshalling as well as simulation experiments to evaluate the performance of the rules are presented. We suggested two kinds of alternative sets of operating rules for re-marshalling and described the relevant logics corresponding to all possible cases for each alternative of operating rules. Through various simulation experiments, we found that each alternative has the merits and demerits at the same time and we could not say the one is always superior to the other. As a useful strategy, changing the applying operating rule is recommended from moment to moment depending on the expected number of operations at the landside input/output position.

  • Association rule mining techniques enable us to acquire knowledge concerning sales patterns among individual items from voluminous transactional data. Certainly, one of the major purposes of association rule mining is utilizing the acquired knowledge to provide marketing strategies such as catalogue design, cross-selling and shop allocation. However, this requires too much time and high cost to only extract the actionable and profitable knowledge from tremendous numbers of discovered patterns. In currently available literature, a number of interest measures have been devised to accelerate and systematize the process of pattern evaluation. Unfortunately, most of such measures, including support and confidence, are prone to yielding impractical results because they are calculated only from the sales frequencies of items. For instance, traditional measures cannot differentiate between the purchases in a small basket and those in a large shopping cart. Therefore, some adjustment should be made to the size of market baskets because there is a strong possibility that mutually irrelevant items could appear together in a large shopping cart. Contrary to the previous approaches, we attempted to consider market basket's size in calculating interest measures. Because the devised measure assigns different weights to individual purchases according to their basket sizes, we expect that the measure can minimize distortion of results caused by accidental patterns. Additionally, we performed intensive computer simulations under various environments, and we performed real case analyses to analyze the correctness and consistency of the devised measure.

  • 내환경검증은 원자력발전소 안전성 관련 계통의 기기가 정상운전 및 설계기준 사고 환경에서 안전기능을 수행할 수 있는지를 검증하는 것이다. 기기검증 평가에 관한 사항은 원자력법시행규칙 '제19조의2(주기적안전성평가의 세부내용)에 따르며 세부평가 대상범위는 안전기능을 확보하기 위한 안전관련 전기기기, 기능이 상실되면 안전관련 기능 수행을 저해하는 비 안전관련 기기, 규제지침 Reg Guide 1.97에서 요구하는 사고 후 감시기기 등이며 국내의 경우에는 경수로형 원전 안전심사지침 제3.11에 따른 내환경검증 기계류 기기의 비금속 부품 등이 추가로 해당된다.

DEA와 DT를 활용한 서비스 프로세스 벤치마킹 프레임워크

  • 본 연구는 각 프로세스가 조직에 미치는 상대적 영향을 고려한 조직 전체의 효율성을 평가하고, 조직의 효율성을 개선하기 위하여 조직을 구성하는 여러 프로세스 중에서 어떤 프로세스를 우선적으로 개선해야 하는지를 결정하며, 더 나아가 비효율적인 프로세스를 개선하기 위하여 어떤 프로세스를 벤치마킹해야 하는지를 결정할 수 있는 체계적인 방법을 제공한다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 다음과 같은 중요한 세 가지 과정을 따른다. 첫째, DEA(data envelopment analysis)의 CCR 모형을 이용하여 프로세스의 투입요소와 산출 요소를 바탕으로 개별 프로세스의 효율성을 평가한다. 둘째, 도출된 개별프로세스의 효율성을 Lovell과 Pastor의 순수 산출요소(또는 투입요소) DEA 모형의 산출요소로 이용하여 서비스 단위 조직 전체의 효율성을 평가한다. 셋째, 앞서 도출된 개별프로세스의 효율성과 서비스 단위 조직의 전체 효율성을 각각 DT(decision tree)의 예측변수와 목표변수로 활용하여 각 서비스 단위 조직의 특성 및 상황에 따라 개선해야 할 프로세스를 선택하는 규칙을 생성한다. 제안한 방법을 통하여 기업은 비효율적 조직과 프로세스를 발견하고 조직의 효율성을 개선하기 위하여 어떤 프로세스를 우선적으로 개선해야 하는지를 결정할 수 있다. 이를 통하여 기업은 오늘날 기업 경쟁력의 핵심인 프로세스를 좀 더 효과적으로 평가 및 관리할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Irregular Waves-Induced Seabed Dynamic Responses around Submerged Breakwater (불규칙파동장하 잠제 주변지반의 동적거동에 관한 수치해석)

  • In case of the seabed around and under gravity structures such as submerged breakwater is exposed to a large wave action long period, the excess pore pressure will be generated significantly due to pore volume change associated with rearrangement soil grains. This effect will lead a seabed liquefaction around and under structures as a result from decrease in the effective stress. Under the seabed liquefaction occurred and developed, the possibility of structure failure will be increased eventually. Lee et al.(2016) studied for regular waves, and this study considered for irregular waves with the same numerical analysis method used for regular waves. Under the condition of the irregular wave field, the time and spatial series of the deformation of submerged breakwater, the pore water pressure (oscillatory and residual components) and pore water pressure ratio in the seabed were estimated and their results were compared with those of the regular wave field to evaluate the liquefaction potential on the seabed quantitatively. Although present results are based on a limited number of numerical simulations, one of the study's most important findings is that a more safe design can be obtainable when analyzing case with a regular wave condition corresponding to a significant wave of irregular wave.

Signed Hellinger measure for directional association (연관성 방향을 고려한 부호 헬링거 측도의 제안)

  • By Wikipedia, data mining is the process of discovering patterns in a big data set involving methods at the intersection of association rule, decision tree, clustering, artificial intelligence, machine learning. and database systems. Association rule is a method for discovering interesting relations between items in large transactions by interestingness measures. Association rule interestingness measures play a major role within a knowledge discovery process in databases, and have been developed by many researchers. Among them, the Hellinger measure is a good association threshold considering the information content and the generality of a rule. But it has the drawback that it can not determine the direction of the association. In this paper we proposed a signed Hellinger measure to be able to interpret operationally, and we checked three conditions of association threshold. Furthermore, we investigated some aspects through a few examples. The results showed that the signed Hellinger measure was better than the Hellinger measure because the signed one was able to estimate the right direction of association.

Application of a Fuzzy Controller with a Self-Learning Structure (자기 학습 구조를 가진 퍼지 제어기의 응용)

  • In this paper, we evaluate the performance of a fuzzy controller with a self-learning structure. The fuzzy controller is based on a fuzzy logic that approximates and effectively represents the uncertain phenomena of the real world. The fuzzy controller has control of a plant with a fuzzy inference logic. However, it is not easy to decide the membership function of a fuzzy controller and its controlrule. This problem can be solved by designing a self-learning controller that improves its own contropllaw to its goal with a performance table. The fuzzy controller is implemented with a 386PC, an interface board, a D/A converter, a PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) motor drive-circuit, and a sensing circuit, for error and differential of error. Since a Ball and Beam System is used in the experiment, the validity of the fuzzy controller with the self-learning structure can be evaluated through the actual experiment and the computer simulation of the real plant. The self-learning fuzzy controller reduces settling time by just under 10%.

  • Recently, due to the rapid growth of the leisure industry, demand for small-scale flotation and mooring pontoon platforms has been increasing rapidly. Standard rules for the design and structural safety of such structures have become necessary. This paper provides criteria that can be referenced when designing pontoon platforms, and also introduces structural safety evaluation procedures. In this study, the structural safety and stability of a 15-meter pontoon platform were investigated through structural design and finite element analysis. For platforms of less than 10 meters in length, a simple structural calculation can be used, but for platforms over 10 meters, a detailed structural strength review must be considered to meet safety guidelines defined in existing regulations. The structural strength of the initial design was examined and its structural safety was verified. For future research, it is an evaluative system was developed that can be used to examine the various loading conditions during design.

  • This paper proposes the recommendation system which is advanced using RFM method and Association Rules in e-Commerce. Using a implicit method which is not used user's profile for rating, it is necessary for user to keep the RFM score and Association Rules about users and items based on the whole purchased data in order to recommend the items. This proposing system is possible to advance recommendation system using RFM method and Association Rules for cross-selling, and also this system can avoid the duplicated recommendation by the cross comparison with having recommended items before. And also, it's efficient for them to build the strategy for marketing and crm(customer relationship management). It can be improved and evaluated according to the criteria of logicality through the experiment with dataset collected in a cosmetic cyber shopping mall. Finally, it is able to realize the personalized recommendation system for one to one web marketing in e-Commerce.

Analysis on the Importance Factor of Residential Environment using R (R을 활용한 주거환경 중요도 요소에 대한 분석)

  • Recently, interest in data analysis has increased, and convergence research through data analysis has been actively conducted in various fields such as engineering, natural science, and social science. In the field of architecture, various studies using data analysis are being conducted, and in particular, efforts are being made to solve the problems in the field of architecture that have been quantitatively expanded through the urbanization process. In this study, data analysis on residential satisfaction of residents in residential environment improvement areas and similar neighborhoods through urban regeneration projects is performed. Through analysis using R for post-residential evaluation elements that are conducted after building construction and occupancy, important evaluation items that affect the satisfaction of the residential environment are identified by analyzing the association rules between each evaluation element and identifying the frequency of major requirements of residents. To grasp. Through this, we intend to conduct convergence research between IT and architecture fields, such as the development of a system that can recommend high-quality residential areas as well as providing data for securing high-quality residential spaces when constructing residential areas in the future.
