  • 목뼈는 척주 중에서 두개골과 등뼈(흉추) 사이의 부분으로 목 부분을 형성하는 뼈 구조물이다. 위치는 머리뼈(두개골) 밑에서부터 갈비뼈가 붙는 등뼈(흉추)의 윗부분까지를 이른다. 본 논문에서는 목을 구부려 턱이 가슴에 닿도록 하는 굽힘과, 목을 들어 천장을 보는 것처럼 자세를 취하는 폄에 대하여 각을 측정한다. 굽힘의 각도는 $45{\sim}50^{\circ}$가 기본이며 최대의 가동 범위는 $80{\sim}90^{\circ}$이다. 폄의 각도 또한 $40^{\circ}{\sim}50^{\circ}$가 기본이며 정상은 $70^{\circ}$로 제한된다. 굽힘과 폄의 각도가 기본에 못 미치거나 통증을 유발할 때에는 능동과 수동 돌림의 치료법으로 치료하도록 한다.

A convergence study of the effects of asymmetric standing posture on knee joint position and lower extremity muscle activity in subjects with hyper-extended knee (무릎 과다 폄을 가진 대상자에게 비대칭 선 자세가 무릎 관절 위치와 근활성도에 미치는 영향에 대한 융합적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of hyper-extended knee and asymmetric standing posture on knee joint position and lower extremity muscle activity. Thirty-three voluntary participants participated and included sixty legs in the study. The sixty legs were divided into two groups: hyper-extended knee and normal group. The muscle activity and knee extension angle were measured. In the asymmetric standing posture, the knee joint extension angle and the muscle activity of the gastrocnemius were statistically significant between the normal group and the hyper-extended knee group. Based on the results, we confirmed that the asymmetric standing posture increases the hyper-extended knee. Therefore, it will contribute to the establishment of therapeutic guide for the subjects with hyper-extended knee to maintain the symmetrical standing posture, and future studies need to be conducted including the effects of the hip joint and ankle joints.

  • In this paper, the angles of flexion of bending the neck to touch the chest and extension of lifting the neck backwards to take the posture of looking up at the ceiling are measured. The basic angle of flexion is in the range of $45{\sim}50^{\circ}$ while the maximum range of angle of movement of flexion is $80{\sim}90^{\circ}$. Similarly, the basic angle of extension is in the range of $40^{\circ}{\sim}50^{\circ}$ and the limit of the normal angle of extension is $70^{\circ}$.

  • 본 논문에서는 이처럼 중요한 역할을 하는 무릎의 굽힘(flexion)과 폄(extension)에 대하여 측정을 한다. 무릎과 엉덩이를 펴고 골반을 중립상태로 두고 엎드려 무릎을 구부리고 편다. 일반인의 도수 측정 각도는 구부렸을 때 $110^{\circ}$에서 $135^{\circ}$ 사이의 값이 나온다. 여기서 구부렸을 때 고통을 호소하면 무릎 관절 및 근육에 이상이 있는 것이다.

  • In this paper, the angles are measured for bending so that the chin touches the chest by bending the neck and extension, which takes a posture as if raising the neck and looking at the ceiling. The basic bending angle is 45-50°, and the maximum range of motion is 80-90°. The angle of extension is also 40°~50° as default, and the normal is limited to 70°.

The Effect of Squat Exercise Using a Reformer on Muscle Strength, Range of Motion, and Gait in Patients who Underwent Total Hip Replacement Surgery : A Pilot Study

  • The propose of this study was to investigate the effects of squat exercise using a reformer on muscle strength, range of motion, and gait in hip joint replacement patients. This study was conducted on 20 patients hospitalized at a rehabilitation hospital in G City. As an intervention method, the experimental group performed squat exercises using a reformer, and the control group performed squat exercises, 7 times a week for 2 weeks. In the within-group comparison of the reformer group, there was a significant difference in hip flexion, extension, and abduction strength (p<0.05). There were significant differences within the group in the range of motion of hip extension and abduction and gait in the Reformer group (p<0.05). In comparison between groups, significant differences occurred in hip extension strength, hip extension, abduction range of motion, and gait (p<0.05).

  • 본 연구에서는 팔의 굽힘(flexion)과 폄(extension)운동 시 물체의 무게에 따른 저크의 변화를 통해 부드러움을 정량화하고, 물체무게와 움직임의 형태(type)에 따른 동작의 부드러움을 비교하고자 한다. 10 명의 오른손잡이 남자 대학생(평균 $24.8{\pm}1.1$ 세)을 실험 참여자로 선정하였다. 물체무게(0g, 1000g)와 움직임의 형태(손등 위/아래)를 달리하여 팔의 굽힘과 폄 운동을 실시하였다. 또한 3 축 가속도 센서를 이용하여 x 와 z 축의 가속도를 측정하였고, 측정된 신호로 부터 저크값을 추출 하였다. 실험은 총 8 분으로 4 개의 block 으로 구성되며 각 block 은 resting 구간 1 분과 lifting 구간 1 분으로 구성된다. 실험 결과 물체무게 0g 에 비해 1000g 에서 가속도와 정규저크 값이 유의미하게 감소하였다.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of cervical vertebral height and shoulder stabilization on anterior head posture in people with turtle neck. The subjects of this study consisted of normal and healthy people with 30 turtle necks. Subjects were randomly assigned to shoulder stabilization exercise and cervical vertebrae exercise (30 men, 15 men and 15 women, height: $168.67{\pm}6.51$, $22.33{\pm}8.27$, $65.03{\pm}11.98$, and $28.66{\pm}1.91$), In the experimental group, shoulder stabilization exercise and cervical spine exercise were performed for 4 weeks. Deep neck flexor, leavator scapular, upper trapezius, rhomboid, and lower trapezius showed significant differences in shoulder stabilization and cervical vertebrae before and after the experiment. As a result, the CVA value decreased significantly and the muscle activity value increased significantly when exercise and Mckenzie program were applied. These results show that exercise and Mckenzie programs have a positive effect on turtle neck improvement.

Comparison of Isokinetic Muscular Strength of Knee according to Female Volleyball and Table Tennis Players (여자 배구와 탁구선수의 등속성 운동에 따른 무릎근력 비교)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the isokinetic muscular strength of the knee joint between female volleyball and table tennis players. A total of 27 elite volleyball players and 27 table tennis players participated in the study. This study measured both knee extensor and flexor strengths of volleyball and table tennis players using the isokinetic dynamic test. Peak torque was measured by performing maximal voluntary flexion and extension three times at $60^{\circ}/s$. Volleyball players had higher knee extensor and flexor strengths than table tennis players. No significant difference in both knee strengths was noted in table tennis players. However, volleyball players showed significant differences in both knee strengths. Height and weight showed a positive correlation with knee strength. This study found that volleyball players had greater knee strength than that of table tennis players. We also found that volleyball players have asymmetrical knee strength. Comparison with other sport players is warranted to better understand isokinetic muscular strength of the knee joint.

The Effects of Massage and Static Stretching on Cervical Range of Motion in Their 20s of Normal Adult (마사지 및 정적 스트레칭이 20대 정상 성인의 경부 관절가동범위에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to estimate the cervical range of motion and the effects of massage and static stretching in their 20s of normal adult. One hundred participants(massage=50, stretching=50) with no musculoskeletal and nervous system problems volunteered for this study. Massage and static stretching were applied to sternocleidomstoid, scalenes, trapezius, semispinalis, splenius, suboccipital, multifidi and rotatores. Both groups received intervention for 3 times in a week. The time the intervention was applied was for 10minutes. Effleurage, petrissage and stripping technique was applied to massage group and static stretching technique was applied to stretching group. The cervical range of motion (CROM) instrument was used to measure eight cervical motions (suboccipital flexion, suboccipital extension, neck flexion and extension, and left and right lateral flexion, left and right rotation). As a result of making a statistical analysis of the data, the following findings were given: First, normal cervical range of motion revealed; suboccipital flexion($2.39^{\circ}$) and extension($38.36^{\circ}$), flexion($54.11^{\circ}$) and extension($69.39^{\circ}$), lateral flexion on left($43.50^{\circ}$) and right($41.28^{\circ}$), rotation on left($66.39^{\circ}$) and right($65.94^{\circ}$) in male and suboccipital flexion($5.14^{\circ}$) and extension($36.47^{\circ}$), flexion($55.92^{\circ}$) and extension($71.22^{\circ}$), lateral flexion on left($43.34^{\circ}$) and right($41.06^{\circ}$), rotation on left($69.38^{\circ}$) and right($68.63^{\circ}$) in female. Second, women had greater range of motions than men in suboccipital flexion, left and right rotation(p<0.05). Third, it showed significantly increasing cervical range of motion in all directions within groups following treatments but not between groups(p<0.05). Our results suggest that massage and static stretching are an appropriate intervention to increase cervical range of motion by muscle relaxation and stretching and may be provided a basis for future studies investigating the cervical range of motion.
