Design and Implementation of High-speed Wireless LAN System (고속 무선 LAN 시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • Design and implementation of the MAC protocol processor prototype for high speed wireless LAN, which has interface with 5GHz OFDM PHY layer, is presented. We analyze the IEEE 802.11 MAC protocol specification and then separate the MAC protocol functions to be implemented by hardware and firmware and define the interface in which frames can be exchanged. That is, it is considered that high speed queue processing and interfaces with RISC processor and OFDM PHY layer. Protocol control and transmission/reception functions of the MAC functions are implemented in hardware in order to guarantee high speed processing in MAC layer. The developed MAC hardware block operates at 10MHz main clock. Therefore, transmission rate in PHY layer is about 80Mbps because data transmission/reception between MAC layer and PHY layer is performed as unit of octet. The designed FPGA MAC function chip has been implemented in wireless LAN test board and it is verified that DCF function is operated correctly.

  • Since various applications is converged in digital televisions, playing game on DTV will be available in the immediate future. Game programming of DTV is more difficult than that of PC in a viewpoint of game development. Since TV use very simple remote controller as user interface, mapping type, choice type, and one-button type are used among mobile game user interfaces. In addition, we suggest to use text class, numeral class, bitmap class, and shape class of DTV OSD middleware which is proven software, instead of developing new DTV-oriented game engine. The proposed interfaces can be applied in various game situations and allow intuitive and fast operations. By using OSD middleware, game actions can be subdivided into state structures, OSD objects can be used as game objects, and events and actions of remote controller keys are easily defined.

  • Many railway signalling functions have increasingly depended on computer software with recent development in computing technology, leading to evolution into more flexible and intelligent railway signalling system. Meanwhile, software programs are likely to have many errors and the cost incurred by such errors has increased. Especially, if fatal software error occurs during railway operation, it may result in loss of lives. So the software verification and validation have become more important. It is needed for software functional safety tool to support these, but most commercial tools depend on direct access to the system's memory, resulting in many difficulties in application. Owing to such difficulties and complexity, they are rarely used in railway signalling system software validation. In this study, a new testing tool for software functional testing through an external interface that can be easily used in functional testing of software was developed. Such testing tool allows development and analysis of test cases for black-box testing through analysis of actually used interface protocols, leading to increased user convenience.

A Scenario-Based User-Oriented Integrated Architecture for Supporting Interoperability among Heterogeneous Home Network Middlewares (이질적인 홈 네트워크 미들웨어 상호 연동성 지원을 위한 사용자 중심의 시나리오 기반 통합 구조)

  • Although there exist many middlewares such as Havi, Jini, LonWorks, UPnP, and SLP, new middlewares specialized for diverse information appliances are expected to appear continuously as home networks evolve. In this paper, we examine an integrated architecture for supporting interoperability among heterogeneous middlewares under home network, we also propose and implement a scenario-based user-oriented integrated architecture for efficient home automation which is different from existing methods. HOMI(Homenetwork Middleware for Interoperability) architecture proposed in this paper provides interfaces that assist users with designing and modifying desirable scenarios using a script interpreter language HOMIL(HOMI Language). Different from an existing integrated middleware architecture, HOMI improves efficiency and convenience of interoperation between heterogeneous appliances for home automation allowing users to design and organize scenarios through these interfaces. HOMI classifies interoperation services into time contort, synchronization context, and asynchronization context and helps to execute next services considering contexts when a specific event occurs. Applying modified scenarios immediately to home network environment, HOMI provides users with seamless services without installing new applications, updating the server, or rebooting in order to adopt new scenarios. Lastly, distribution agents into several devices, we solved the overhead problem occurred in a centralized architecture for integrated middleware.

  • In a digital environment that is keep in change content from smart phones to tablet PC are a social network service is holding deep place in our lives. Social networking applications has building a network and communication with others than other application, it means that Social networking applications are sharing not only personal purpose in that trend of variety and competition of these social networks can be expected to trend and be developed thru analysis of user certification. this study of social network service application is proposed to developing of application thru analyze the two-effective application which is high ranked in google store. the theoretical foundation was set based on the seven elements of the social network service of the information structures designed by Jean Smith. This study proceeded analysis is for the functional elements of Facebook and Instagram, and the advantages and disadvantages through survey research. As a result of the empirical analysis to user of Instagram and face book of communication, identity, satisfaction for the group are equally. Instagram is about the presence, reputation, and Facebook has had a high level of satisfaction for each sharing and relationship. Facebook got high satisfaction from sharing features, but user feel of discomfort in the randomly showing advertising content. Instagram is not showing off advertise on common page of content, it is good point to be complementary to facebook. And, Instagram hashtag is good for convenience, but satisfaction is high with Facebook. in order to increase the satisfaction of Instagram, it is necessary to consider the main advantage of the communication and the functional aspects of the share from facebook.

  • 외계행성 탐색시스템의 망원경-카메라 제어 시스템 및 소프트웨어 구성과 관측 유틸리티에 대해 소개한다. 망원경 제어 소프트웨어는 천문 위치보정, 포인팅, 돔 회전 등을 담당하는 PC-TCS 프로그램, 망원경 적경-적위 축 서보 제어를 담당하는 full-closed loop PID 컨트롤 프로그램, 포커서, 필터박스, 돔 셔터, 주경냉각, 온도 모니터 등의 보조 시스템을 제어하는 AUX controls 프로그램으로 구성된다. 카메라 제어 소프트웨어는 모자이크로 구성된 여러 CCD를 각각 독립적으로 제어하는 IC(Instrument Control) 패키지와 이들을 총괄 제어하는 ICS(IC Science) 패키지로 구성되며 망원경과 카메라 소프트웨어의 인터페이스 역할을 하는 TCS Agent 프로그램이 포함된다. 관측 진행을 돕는 유틸리티로서 관측제어 명령어 입력 및 관측 스크립트 구동 기능을 제공하는 OBS Agent 프로그램과 가이드 CCD를 이용한 시상 모니터링 및 자동초점조정 프로그램을 개발하여 활용하고 있다. 각 소프트웨어는 UDP, TCP/IP, RS-232, Redis server 등 다양한 인터페이스를 통하여 서로 통신하며, CCD 영상 자료 전달을 위해 RAM(Random Access Memory) 디스크와 Network File System(NSF)을 이용하고 있다.

  • Computing infrastructures and technologies are moving into the distributed environments. Due to increase of M&A, and outsourcing processes, or increase or development of various system in an organizations, there are various problems resing such as difficulties in maintenance and repairment, repetition or inconsistency of data, and lacks of interconnection between different of difficulties in financing and selecting an adequate solutionas. This study presents a method to integrate systems adopting massage middleware as an efficient alternative for integration of applications and data between different models under distributed system environments. We expect that the integration method presented in this study, adopting massage middleware between system, will be an efficient alternative to build up interface between small system in terms of expense and efficiency.

  • Recently, the development of practical wearable robot interfaces has resulted in the emergence of wearable robots such as arm prosthetics or lower-limb exoskeletons. In this paper, we propose a novel method of wrist movement intention estimation based on a regression technique using electromyography of human bio-signals. In daily life, changes in user arm position changes cause decreases in performance by modulating EMG signals. Therefore, we propose an estimation method for robust wrist movement intention for arm position changes, combining several movement intention models based on the regression technique trained by different arm positions. In our experimental results, our method estimates wrist movement intention more accurately than previous methods.

  • The existing patient monitoring system when the patient want own information. The patient confirm information through the medical institution. But the patient monitoring system based on the U-Healthcare, the patient always confirms own information through the mobile device including rfid reader. The patient need RFID middleware design to provide wanting service when the RFID reader read patient's tag information. The RFID middleware is consisted of RFID module, ARM processor and RS-232 interface. The RFID module is used to be inputted user information and RS-232 interface pass information by RFID middleware. Also, This system is embodied by specific patient monitoring system using embedded exclusive use ARM processor. In this paper introduces concept and action principle of RFID middleware and embodied patient monitoring system that use Qt.

A Study on the Activity Recognition Touch Interface Using the EMG Sensing Wearable Device. (근전도 센서 탑재 웨어러블 디바이스를 활용한 행위 인지 터치 인터페이스에 대한 연구)

  • 본 논문은 근전도 센서가 탑재된 손목착용형 웨어러블 디바이스를 통하여 스마트폰의 입력방식을 개선시켜 사용자와 스마트폰간의 인터렉션을 보다 발전시킨 시스템을 다룬다. 이 시스템은 사용자가 손목에 착용한 웨어러블 디바이스에 탑재된 근전도센서를 통하여 손의 고유근의 근전도를 측정함으로서 사용자의 엄지와 검지에 가해지는 힘을 탐지하고 이를 바탕으로 사용자가 스마트폰을 터치했을 경우 해당 터치행위가 사용자가 스마트폰을 의도적으로 힘을 가하여 누른 행위인지에 대한 여부를 판단할 수 있다. 결과적으로 본 논문은 스마트폰과 사용자와의 인터렉션에 있어 근전도 센서를 탑재한 웨어러블 디바이스를 활용하여 사용자의 의도를 보다 효과적으로 스마트폰 제어에 반영시킬 수 있는 행위 인지(Activity Recognition) 터치 인터페이스 시스템을 제안한다.
