  • This paper provides a comparison between finite element analysis results and test data of rupture disc. Rupture disc is safety device of high pressure equipment. Rupture disc of solid rocket motor is a device to control rupture pressure. Rupture discs were made of AISI 316L. By the elastic-plastic analysis, the stress limit of rupture discs were compared to the test results. The results can be used to control the rupture pressure by the change of the disc size.

Jamming Effect of Phase-Coded Pulse Compression Radar (위상코드 펄스압축 레이더의 재밍 효과)

  • This paper describes the jamming effect of phase-coded pulse compression(PCPC) radar. Barker code radar, a typical PCPC radar, separates transmission pulses into 13 or 31 small pulses and phase modulates and transmits each pulse signal to increase radar detection efficiency and reduce the influence of jamming. Generally, when the radar is subjected to jamming, the detection distance becomes shorter and the detection error rate becomes higher. In the case of noise jamming or carrier jamming on the PCPC radar, the jamming effect is very small for no phase-coded convergence. However, the jamming effect is large in the case of synchronous jamming using the pulse-coded signal as a jamming signal with DRFM. It can be seen that the jamming effect increases when the storage time of the pulse-coded signal is prolonged. This study is considered to be useful for PCPC radar and EW jamming system design.

Response Analysis of the NE213-PSD System for Neutron Energy Spectreum Measurement (중성자 에너지 측정을 위한 NE213-PSD 장치의 감응 분석)

  • In order to measure the energy spectrum of a radioactive neutron source, the pulse shape discrimination (PSD) system with organic scintillator, NE-213, was characterized by using some of the gamma ray sources and neutron source, Am-Be. The figure of merit of the rise time spectrum of AmBe source measured by this system was about 1.13. This value agrees well with the value of 1.3 which is measured for monoenergetic source, $^{12}C(d,\;n)^{13}N$. The results of present experiment for performance test of NE213-PSD system will provide the useful technique to measure the spectrum of neutron-gamma mixed field and to establish the neutron energy spectrum and flux density standards.

Vulnerability Case Analysis of the High Power Electromagnetic Pulse on Digital Control System (디지털 제어장치의 고출력 전자기펄스에 대한 취약성 사례 분석)

  • The risk of high power electromagnetic(HPEM) pulse exposure to the devices used in digital control system such as PLC(programmable logic controller) and communication cable is increasing. In this paper, two different frequency ranges HPEMs were exposed to those control systems to assess the each vulnerability. The vulnerability of the EUTs exposed from HPEM were analyzed and compared with a variation of distances and source power. As the EUTs were exposed to higher level of HPEM, the voltage and communication waveform of the control system had shown a distorted response. And the unshielded twisted pair(UTP) cable connected to the EUTs showed operation failures with induced voltage. However, the foiled twisted pair(FTP) cable shielded the connected device efficiently from the HPEM exposure. Therefore, the necessity of the protection measures against the vulnerability of HPEM exposure for the digital control system used in power facilities and industrial site were verified.

  • 본 논문에서는 컴퓨터를 근본으로 한 Deep Level Transient Spectroscopy (DLTS) 장치를 구성하고 이를 이용하여 P형 Si MOS 캐패시터의 Si- $SiO_{2}$ 계면상태를 측정하여 트랩의 활성화에너지와 포획단면적 그리고 계면트랩밀도를 조사하였다. 실리콘 band gap내에 연속적으로 분포하고 있는 계면트랩을 상세히 고찰하기 위해 quiescent 전압의 위치를 변화시키면서 0.1volt의 미소한 펄스를 MOS에 주입하여 그 각각이 분리된 트랩이라고 생각되는 매우 좁은 에너지 영역에서 나오는 DLTS신호를 측정하였다. 또한 quiescent 전압의 위치, 주입펄스전압의 진폭 그리고 rate window의 선택이 DLTS 신호에 미치는 영향 등을 조사하였다. 측정결과, 계면트랩의 활성화에너지는 가전자대로 부터 0.16-0.45eV이고 포획단면적은 1.3*$10^{-19}$~3.2*$10^{-15}$$cm^{2}$, 계면트랩밀도는 1.8*$10^{10}$ ~ 2.5*$10^{11}$$cm^{-2}$e$V^{-1}$로 측정되었다.

  • In this paper, a method of writing and reproducing high density data with ordinary Audio cassette deck is discribed. In writing, the data N or NRZ code are modulated into PM code to take the positive code N(1) and the negative code N(0) are taken from the complement of the NRZ code, each of which are written into 2 channel track. In reading, the error corrected and the clock pulse can be generated from the reading pulse itself. Also, without modifying the interior circuit of the deck it is possible to use the deck in both the data and audio by adapting a few simple circuits. Over the range of 25HZ-4KHZ, it was possible to write and reproduce at the speed of 787 bps transmission rate.

  • The satellite includes many release mechanisms such as solar array deployment, antenna deployment, cover to protect contamination in scientific equipment, pyro value of the propulsion subsytem, and bypass device in Li-Ion cell module. A drive the initiators is a critical to the successful mission because the initiators of release mechanism driving by the pyrotechnic circuit is operated in single short. The pyrotechnic circuit has to provide switching network for safety. A typical switching network has defect consisting of high current rating fire switch to handle switching transient current during fire the initiator. The pyrotechnic circuit is required some form of power conditioning to reduce the peak power demanded from the bus if the initiators are to be fired from the main bus. This paper design a pyrotechnic circuit synchronized to the fire-command to activate the fire switch to overcome use high current rating fire switch to handle switching transient current during fire the initiator. The pyrotechnic circuit provides a current limited widow pulse for fire current synchronized to the fire-command to insure that fire switch will only carry the current but never switch it. The current limited widow pulse for fire current can be possible to use low current rating and light mass switch in switching network. The current limit function in the pyrotechnic circuit reduces supply voltage to initiator and provides the effect of power conditioning function to reduce peak bus power. The pyrotechnic circuit to apply satellite development on geostationary orbit is verified the function by test in development model.

  • Rupture disks are a kind of safety device in high pressure equipment and they are used to control rupture pressure in the solid rocket motor. In this paper, a series of rupture experiments was performed using rupture disks made of AISI 316L and rupture pressure of rupture disks was calculated through various assumptions in relation between elasto-plastic material properties and true stress-strain curve. Experiment and FEA indicated rupture pressure is determined by size of rupture disks. As a result of elasto-plastic analysis, only multi-linear stress-strain curve was able to calculate meaningful estimations. Experimental results also showed rupture location are decided by the size of rupture disks. Experimental and FEA results will be applied to control rupture pressure of disks.

  • 본 연구에서는 현장검사 (Point-of-Care Testing, POCT)를 목적으로 측방 유동 검사 스트립의 피크들을 분리하는 템플릿 정합법을 제안한다. 템플릿은 스트립의 제어 리건드 선과 대상 리건드 선 간격으로 떨어져 있는 두 개의 펄스로 구성된다. 이 템플릿을 스캔신호와 정합시켜 최대 응답 위치에서 피크들의 중심을 찾고, 주어진 위치에서 피크들을 분리한다. 제안한 방법을 바디텍메드사의 당화 혈색소 면역 검사 스트립과 동사의 형광 스트립 리더기에 적용하여 농도 측정 성능에 미치는 영향을 기존에 구현된 방법과 비교 검토하였다. 실험 결과 본 연구에서 제안한 방법은 장치나 검사 스트립에 종속적인 매개변수가 필요한 기존 방법과 동등한 성능을 보였다.

  • A dielectric pellets bedded parallel plates with a membrane centered have been proposed as an ion separation and collection system in water. and effects of the relative dielectric constant and the applied square wave pulse voltage on the characteristics of ion separation and collection in tap water and NaCl dissolved tap water have been investigated. As a result, electrolyzed water of pH 3.1 and 10.6 were obtained with only tap water at the pulse current of 1.0[A] and flow rate of 0.5[LPM]. And the higher ionized water of pH 2.8 and pH 11.7 ware obtained in 0.1[%wt] NaCl dissolved water. When the dielectric pellets of BaTiO$_3$ having the highest dielectric constant were bedded in the ion separation and collection cell, the ionized water of pH 2.7 and pH 11.7 were obtained with only tap water. And the ionized water of pH 2.4 and pH 12.0 were obtained in 0.1[wt%] NaCl dissolved tap water with the dielectrics pellets bedded ones.
