Study on the Core Loss Improvement of SiFe Plate in Relation with Laser Pulse Width in the Laser Scribing (레이저 스크라이빙에 있어서 레이저의 펄스폭에 따른 규소강판의 코어손실 개선 연구)

  • The core loss of $3\%$ SiFe is strongly dependent on silicon content, impurities, permeability, and domain structure of the SiFe. Domain refining has been proved to be very good method for reduction of core loss in high permeability grain oriented SiFe, and laser scribing is well-blown as an effective and industrially important method of domain refinement. In this work, magnetic domain refinement has been carried out by using a pulsed Nd : YAG laser, and the core losses have been measured and analyzed to and optimal parameters of the laser treatment. The laser hem was focused with a spot size of $100{\mu}m$ and pulse energy of 10${\~}$35mJ and the lines were scribed with a period of ${\~}$5mm. The core loss was improved up to $17\%$ with 30 ns-Nd : YAG laser beam in $3\%$ SiFe.

Characteristics of time-resolved optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) on Paleolithic paleosol quartz (구석기 고토양층 석영의 시간분해 광자극 냉광 특성 연구)

  • In this study, we measured the time-resolved optically stimulated luminescence (TR-OSL) of Paleolithic paleosol quartz and evaluated its lifetime. Considering the lifetime dependence on the preheating applied after irradiation, the radiation exposure, and the optical pulse stimulation, we found that the optimum measurement condition for determining the lifetime of paleosol quartz was the optical pulse stimulation at a dwelling time of $250{\mu}s$, pulse width of $10{\mu}s$, and sweep number of 100,000, without preheating after 100 Gy of irradiation. Based on the dependence of the lifetime on the reading temperature, the thermal quenching activation energy ${\Delta}E$ and thermal assistance activation energy $E_a$ were evaluated as $0.60{\pm}0.14eV$ and $0.053{\pm}0.029eV$, respectively. These values were in good agreement with those reported in the literature. Therefore, we concluded that the resulting kinetic parameters for paleosol quartz are quite reliable.

  • The purpose of this work is to investigate the fundamental properties of the gradual muscle force potentiation for the prediction of muscle force and body movement from the stimulation input with musculo-skeletal model. We investigated the dependence of force potentiation on both the pulse-amplitude and the pulse-duration. The experimental result showed that the force increment ratio during electrical stimulation decreased with pulse-amplitude. The force increment ratio decreased with short pulse-duration and was maintained to be constant with pulse-duration longer than $500{\mu}s$. A new model of the muscle potentiation based on these results is desired in the future.

  • The purpose of this work is to investigate the fundamental properties of the gradual muscle force potentiation. We investigated the dependence of force potentiation on both the pulse-amplitude and the pulse-duration with different ramp-up time. The experimental results showed that the force increment ratio (FIR) during constant electrical stimulation decreased with pulse-amplitude and also with pulse-duration. The FIR was greater with short ramp-up time in both the pulse-amplitude and pulse-width modulation. The feasible mechanism might be that the myosin light chain phosphorylation induces the force potentiation and it occurs only in the fast type muscle fibers which are recruited first. These observations indicate that muscle potentiation must be understood well for the accurate control of muscle force.

  • MNOS 구조에서 23.angs.의 얇은 산화막을 성장한 후 LPCVD방법으로 S $i_{3}$ $N_{4}$막을 각각 530.angs., 1000.angs. 두께로 달리 증착했을때 비휘발성 기억동작에 미치는 전하주입 및 기억유지 특성을 자동 .DELTA. $V_{FB}$ 측정 시스템을 제작하여 측정하였다. 전하주입 측정은 펄스전압 인가전의 초기 플랫밴드전압 0V.+-.10mV, 펄스폭 100ms 이내로 설정하고 단일 펄스전압을 인가하였다. 기억유지특성은 기억트랩에 전하를 포획시킨 직후 $V_{FB}$ 유지와 0V로 유지한 상태에서 $10^{4}$sec까지 측정하였다. 본 논문에서 유도된 산화막 전계에 대한 터넬확률을 적용한 전하주입 이론식은 실험결과와 잘 일치하였으며 본 해석방법으로 직접기억트랩밀도와 이탈진도수를 동시에 평가할 수 있었다. 기억트랩의 포획전하는 실리콘쪽으로의 역 터넬링으로 인한 조기감쇠가 컸으며 $V_{FB}$ 유지인 상태가 초기 감쇠율이 0V로 유지한 경우 보다 낮았다. 그리고 기억유지특성은 S $i_{3}$ $N_{4}$막의 두께보다 기억트랩밀도의 의존성이 크며 S $i_{3}$ $N_{4}$막두께의 축소로 기록전압을 저전압화시킬 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • 초미세 레이저 가공기술은 미세화, 대면적화, 고속화의 방향으로 발전되고 있다. 이에 따라 이를 대응한 레이저의 사양도 파장의 단파장화 또는 펄스폭의 극초단화, 펄스 반복률의 고반복률화, 출력의 고출력화가 요구되고 있다. 극초단 펄스레이저는 사용자 편의성, 안정성 측면에서 산업체의 요구에 미흡하다. 이에 따라 산업용 초미세 레이저 가공을 위한 광원으로 고품질, 고출력의 단파장 자외선 레이저 활용에 집중하고 있다. 현재 고품질 자외선 레이지는 DPSSL 형태로 구성되어 출시되고 있고, 거의 대부분 수입에 의존하고 있다. 국내외 자외선 UV 현황을 간단히 기술하고, 광주과기원 고등광기술연구소에서 산업원천기술개발사업의 일환으로 개발중인 복합형 자외선 DPSSL에 대한 개발 계획 레이저 특성과 현재의 개발 진행 상황을 소개한다.

  • We examine experimentally the dependence of output width on DC bias, RF power, and RF frequency in a gain-switched semiconductor laser. The optimum short pulses are obtained around threshold DC bias. The DC bias to generatoe shorter pulses decreases the RF power increases, whereas it increases to above threshold as the RF freqnecy increases. The pulse width becomes less sensitive to the variations of the DC bias, as the RF bias, or frquency increases.

  • A PWM Circuit using CMOS OTA is proposed. It features that the oscillation frequency is independent of supply voltage and temperature, and is linearly controlled by the bias current of OTA. The H-SPICE simulation results are given and they show good performance of the proposed circuit. The layout results using 0.3${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS technology for IC implementation are also given.

  • The transient responses on arbitrarily interconnected digital transmission lines are analyzed by an efficient node discretization technique. Since the proposed node discretization technique offers an efficient means to discretize transmission lines, the transient waveform at any position on the arbitrarily interconnected lines is easily predicted. Dispersive microstrip multiconductor transmission lines arbitrarily connected are analized for generality. The derivation of frequency-dependent equivalent circuit elements of coupled transmission lines have been carried out by the spectral domain approach(SDA). The effects of variations of excited pulse width on the crosstalks of the high-speed microstrip coupled-lines are also investigated. It has been well known that the crosstalk spike level is monotonously increased when the coupling length and effective permittivity of substrate are increased. In this paper, it is found that the variations of crosstalk level are not further monotonous as shortening the exciting pulse width toward several picosecond. The results are verified by the generalized S-parameter technique.

  • A nonlinear shaping method for a wire antenna is presented to improve the limited pulse radiation ability due to the frequency characteristics with nulls which are found in the conventional straight or V antennas. The developed scheme is based on the minimization of frequency-dependence of the radiated electric field intensity over wide band, hence giving the ripple-type frequency characteristics. It is shown that the synthesized shape has more advantage in the case of shorter pulse. That is, we found that for shorter pulse exciting, the radiated peak value of the synthesized antenna is larger than that of the conventional linear antenna. The inverse discrete Fourier transform based on the moment method is used for the transient analysis of current distribution and far field electric field.
