Fun Motifs Represented in Walter Van Beirendonck's Fashion (Walter Van Beirendonck 패션에 재현된 펀 모티프)

  • In general, the idea of fun is understood to be associated with interesting things, playfulnesses, joy, pleasure, etc. The "fun culture," which seeks enjoyment and pleasure through life, is a characteristic of elements observed in today's society and culture. This exerts a powerful impacts on the business operation, marketing, and product manufacturing. Moreover, it is accepted as one of remarkable phenomena representing the changing trends of fashion in the 21st century. The objectives of this study were to analyze and categorize the fun motifs observed in fashion designer Walter Van Beirendonck 's collections, to examine their formative characteristics, and to establish academic approaches and analytic framework in studying the fun phenomenon emerging in fashion. As to research methods, this study laid a theoretical ground by reviewing the related literature and previous studies, and conducted a positive case study using the data on Walter Van Beirendonck's collections and exhibitions. According to the results of this study, the fun motifs represented in Walter Van Beirendonck's collections are largely categorized into "deviation from rules," "humorous and obscene graphic images," "introduction and transformation of heterogeneous elements," "women with male gender' etc. On the other side of Walter Van Beirendonck's fashion are sex, sexual humors, sexuality, fetishism, love, form, body, language, social phenomena, harmony between nature and life, consumerism, race, shamanism, tribal rituals, nation, cultural collision, transcendent things, science fictions, cyber Space, dream, alien, future, fairytale, fantasy etc. which are expressed by using fun motifs. Moreover, these themes are led to masculinity and fantasy.

FUN Fashion Design in the Emotional Consumption Era (감성소비시대의 펀(Fun) 패션디자인)

  • This research is aimed at examining the characteristics of the fun fashion design in the emotional consumption era from a broad perspective, and it is meaningful in the sense that it presents the ideal direction for the development of fashion products that can satisfy the changing desires of the consumers today and tomorrow. For this, the documentary study and practical case study have been executed. This paper examined the two aspects of the fun definition when it comes to the characteristics of the fun fashion design that are manifested in the emotional consumption era. First, fun fashion design that is presented by designers from the consumers' position manifests in the form of deviation from the every day life rules, use of the child-like expression mediums and unexpected turning, fun fashion design when it pertains to the deviation from the every day life rules is expressed freely, adopts object and forms it, and mixes in the alien elements, fun fashion design when it pertains to the use of child-like expression element is manifested in the form of child-like expression, child-like expression of the form, child-like drawing, introduction of the child-like object, character and graffiti. Moreover, fun fashion design of the unexpected turn is expressed with illusion and storytelling. Next, fun fashion design from the participants' position is a design created by the active participation of the consumers. As the producers who participate actively in the product design process, design is modified by the design of participation and users so that the users can enjoy it. Likewise, it is manifested in the form of design of participation.

  • Stress variation due to size variation and the eccentricity of ring type tensile specimen was analyzed by FLAC program. To get the stable tensile strength the ratio of inner to outer ring diameter should be within a certain range. Diameter ratio of 0.3 was suggested to be adequate. It seemed to be difficult to determine the tensile strength because of stress distortion if eccentricity exceeded home limit. To limit the error in 10%, lateral and axial eccentricity was analyzed to be in the limits of 3% and 10%, respectively.

  • Flow defect of a piston-pin for automobile parts is investigated in this study. In combined cold extrusion of piston-pin, lapping defect, which is a kind of flow defect, appears by the dead metal zone. This appearance evidently happens in products with a thin thickness to be pierced for the dimensional accuracy and the decrease of material loss. The flow defect that occurs in piston-pin has bad effects on the strength and the fatigue life of piston-pin. Therefore, it is important to predict and prevent defects in the early stage of process design. The best method that can prevent flow defect is removing or reducing dead metal zone through material flow control. The finite element simulations are applied to analyze the flow defect. This study proposes processes for preventing flow defect by removing dead metal zone. Then the results are compared with the experimental ones for verification. These FE simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental ones.

  • 본 연구에서는 정밀진단가공을 위한 파인 블랭킹 기술 개발을 위한 파인 블랭킹용 전용 프레스를 사용 하지 않고 범용 유압 프레스에서 조보 유압 장치에 의해 압력을 조절해가면서 가공특성에 관한 실험적 연구와 이론 해석을 수행한다. 실험을 위해 파인 블랭킹 금형과 유압 장치를 설계 제작하고, 정밀진단 특성에 제일 큰 영향을 미치고 있는 V-돌기( Vee-ring)의 유무와 위치 그리고 스트리핑력 및 카운터 펀 칭력 변화에 따른 제품 정밀도를 조사해 가면서 최적의 정밀도 예측 수단으로 적절함을 확인할 수 있었으며, 실험결과는 작업 조건에 관계없이 모든 제품이 깨끗한 전단면을 나타내고 있으며, 일반적으로 스트리핑력이 감소할수록, 그리고 카운터 펀칭력이 증가할수록 캠버량이 감소하고 특히 카운터 펀칭력에 큰 영향을 받고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이와같은 현상은 유한 요소해석에 의한 캠버량의 예측에섣고 정성적으로 잘 일치하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

  • Alternate pirn winding is more difficult to control than others because starting points of its traverse strokes are changed alternately through the winding operations. However, the alternate pirn winding is ye useful method because the yarn can be hardly broken when it is unwinded from full packaged bobbin. This paper presents kinematic control algorithm for the alternate pirn. The proposed algorithm can decide the values of control variables such as bobbin speed and traverse speed from the given input parameters and constraints by using the kinematic relations of the winding mechanism. The compute simulations and experimental verifications of the developed winding control algorithm are carried out It is concluded that the proposed algorithm is an efficient and reliable alternative to traditional trial and error control methods.

Effects of Vision and Visual Feedback on Standing Posture in Patients With Hemiplegia (시각 및 시각되먹임이 펀마비 환자의 서기자세에 미치는 영향)

  • Patients with hemiplegia usually show different body weight distribution as compared with normal subjects. Asymmetrical posture during static stance has been identified as a common problem in patients with hemiplegia. The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of vision and visual feedback on body weight distribution while standing under three conditions: eyes-closed, eyes-open and visual feedback condition. Fourteen patients with hemiplegia participated in the study. Their body weight distribution during standing for 20 seconds was measured by Limloader. The data were analysed by repeated measure of one-way ANOVA. The weight bearing on the paretic limb in the eyes-open condition was significantly higher than that of the eyes-closed condition. The weight bearing on the parietic limb in the visual feedback condition was significantly higher than that of the eyes-open condition. These results suggest that patients with hemiplegia can improve their symmetrical stance ability using visual feedback.

Development of Automatical Soybean Sprouting Equipment for Medium Amount Production by Using Multiple Siphons (복수 싸이펀을 이용한 중량생산용 콩나물 자동재배기 개발)

  • To develope the soybean sprouting equipment(a type of cabinet) for medium amount(one bucket; 10~13kg) production of soybean sprouts, the watering system was made of four siphons and four the bottle necked water tank. Diameter of four siphons used for development of the watering system were 8, 13, 17 and 21mm, respectively and their water exhausting volumes were 40, 92, 154, 524ml/sec, respectively. The watering system can be automatically watered 524ml/sec without electric supply. The soybean sprouting equipment is consisted of four the bottle necked water tanks with the four siphons and six sprouting buckets with net shaped bottom for water draining. The soybean sprouting equipment with the watering system may be produced more than one box a day in the condition of 6~7 watering times a day at 25~30oC.

  • Experimental investigations are carried out for the characteristics of bubble rise in the Miniature Two-Phase closed Thermosyphon(MTPCT) with a thin wire insert. The working fluids applied as experimental media are of three kinds: water, methanol, and ethanol. The effects of combination of the inclination with diametric ratio $\alpha$(=d$_{0}$/D$_{I}$) on rising velocity of a large bubble in the thermosyphon are explicitly analyzed. The realm of a movable bubble and the critical value of $\alpha$ are iteratively pursued to interpret the region Figures-of-Break, rooted in the governing physics relations, according to the application of working fluid. Experimental results are compared with those of analysis and critical ranges for $\alpha$ and D$_{I}$ were ascertained from comparisons.isons.

A Study on the Kinematic Winding Control Algorithm for Degressive Pirn Winding (디그레시브 펀 권사(Degressive Pirn Winding)를 위한 기구학적 권사 제어 알고리듬에 관한 연구)

  • Direct motor-driven winding has been increasingly applied in winding machinery. However, it is necessary to analyze the kinematics of winding prior to developing the winding control algorithm, because direct motor-driven winding machine should be operated in accordance with the pre-determined kinematic information for the winding control. This paper presents the kinematics of the degressive winding method and its kinematic winding control algorithm in order to wind the required volume of a pirn package in a desired shape. The proposed algorithm can give the appropriate yarn speed, traverse speed, and the spin speed of the spindle at every traverse stroke, which are utilized for controlling the spindle motor and traverse motor of the winding machine. Computer winding simulations showed that the proposed algorithm is successful in the degressive pirn winding.
