A Study on the Performance Improvement of a Nonlinear Fuzzy PID Controller (비선형 퍼지 PID 제어기의 성능 개선에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, in order to improve the disadvantages of the fixed design-parameter fuzzy PID controller. a new fuzzy PID controller named a variable design-parameter fuzzy PID controller is suggested. The main characteristic of the suggested controller is to adjust design-parameters of the controller by comparing magnitudes between fuzzy controller inputs at each sampling time when controller inputs are measured. As a result. all fuzzy input partitioned spaces converge within a time-varying normalization scale. and the resultant PID control action can always be applied precisely regardless of operating input magnitudes. In order to verify the effectiveness of the suggested controller. several a computer simulations for a nonlinear system are executed and the control parameters of the variable design-parameter fuzzy PID controller are throughly analyzed.

  • This paper was proposed drive strategy Induction Motor using the fuzzy algorithm of auto-tuning PID control. In fuzzy control, the 1M driving system is controlled in trial and error without the mathematical modeling and using fuzzy lookup table the real time control is possible. Also, ,dividing the fuzzy rules in several zone, the stability and response of the 1M driving system is improved. The parameters of 1M are varying according to the environmental conditions, the variance of the parameters is affected with the driving characteristics of 1M. Using the fuzzy algorithm of the driving system which has the auto tuning control function for high performance, high accuracy of the driving system, a designed and proposed through the comparision with the PID control method and the driving characteristics is reviewed and analyzed.

Design of High Performance Hybrid Fuzzy Controller for the zero-crossing speed control of a Hydraulic System (유압시스템의 극저속 속도제어를 위한 하이브리드 퍼지 제어기의 설계)

  • Due to the friction characteristics of cylinders and the rail of a passenger car, in the elevator actuated with hydraulic systems, there exist dead zones, which can not be controlled by a PID controller. In this paper, the friction characteristics of a cylinder is examined, which may cause the abrupt increase of the acceleration in the zero-costing speed region. To overcome the drawbacks of a PID controlled hydraulic elevator system, a zooming fuzzy logic controller is designed and finally an improved hybrid fuzzy controller is proposed. The effectiveness of the proposed control scheme are shown by simulation and experimental results, which the proposed fuzzy hybrid control method yields good control performance not only in the zero-crossing speed region but also in the overall control region including steady-state region.

  • The work presented here provides a control of the supply duct outlet air temperature in PEM (personal environment module) using fuzzy PID controller. In previous work, PID control systems were used, but the result shows that the outlet air temperature and electric heater regulating voltage were oscillated. Fuzzy PID control systems are designed to improve the system response obtained using PID control and implemented experimentally Also, PID controller and fuzzy controller without PID logic are provided to compare the result with that of the fuzzy PID controller. Data obtained shows that the fuzzy PID control system satisfies the design criteria and works proper1y in controlling the supply air temperature. Also it has bettor performance than the previous result obtained using PID control.

  • 본 논문은 퍼지신경망을 이용한 유연성 단일 링크 로봇 매니퓰레이터의 위치제어에 관한 논문이다. 제안된 퍼지신경망 모델은 전건부와 결론부에 퍼지집합을 갖는 퍼지규칙으로 구성된 퍼지모델을 표현하고, 퍼지추론을 수행하는 기능을 가진다. 유연성 로봇 매니퓰레이터에 대한 동적모델을 유도하고, 시뮬레이션을 통해 PID 제어기와 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 제안된 제어기가 PID 제어기보다도 개선된 성능을 확인하였다.

  • This paper proposes a fuzzy tuning PID controller for straight line type inverted pendulum. The conventional PID controller which is used widely in industrial field has fatal drawback on determining control gains for practical system. The proposed controller tunes the gains automatically based on fuzzy urle derived from the experience of expert operator. The results of simulation and experiment show the efficiency of the proposed control method comparing with conventional PID control method in terms of rising time, overshoot, and overall errors.

  • In general a hydraulic system which uses a single rod hydraulic as an actuator is modeled as a nonlinear system and reveals uncertain Parameter characteristics such as the density variation of hydraulic oil and is subject to load variations and severe disturbances during operation. A variable design-parameter fuzzy PID controller is adopted to solve these undesirable internal and external problems and its effectiveness is verified through computer simulations for control performance and real time control possibility.

  • 본 논문에서는 전문가의 지식이 없는 상황에서 자동적으로 최적의 퍼지 제어기를 설계하는 방법에 대해 연구한다. 먼저 퍼지 제어기의 규칙 설정을 위해 기존의 PID 제어기의 입출력 데이터를 클러스터링한다. 군집된 데이터들로부터 클러스터의 수를 파악하고 이를 바탕으로 퍼지 제어를 위한 규칙의 수를 결정한다. 둘째로 퍼지 제어기의 여러 파라미터들은 유전자 알고리즘을 적용하여 최적화한다. GA를 이용한 최적화 과정에서는 성능평가 기준으로 기준입력에 대한 시스템 응답간의 오차와 오버슈트의 크기를 사용하여 응답이 빠르고 안정적인 제어기를 설계하도록 진화방향을 설정한다. 이렇게 만들어진 퍼지 제어기의 성능을 기존의 PID 제어기와 비교 평가한다

  • An optical head actuator of an optical disk drive consists of two servo mechanisms for the focusing and the tracking to acquire data from disk. As the rotational speed of the disk grows, the utilized lag-lead-lead compensator has known to be above its ability for precisely controlling the optical head actuator. To overcome the difficulty, this paper propose a new controller design method for optical head actuator based fuzzy proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control and the genetic algorithm(GA). It employs a two-stage control structure with a fuzzy PI and a fuzzy PD control and is optimized by the GA to yield the suboptimal fuzzy PID control performance. It is shown the feasibility of the proposed method through a numerical tracking actuator simulation.
