A Study on Estimation of Ventilation Performance in the Underground Parking Lot (지하 주차장의 환기성능평가에 관한 연구)

  • In past, parking lot was placed on the ground and for the reason air quality was not in problem. But recently parking lot has been placed under the ground and the air quality becomes problem. So in this study, the ventilation performance on the underground parking lot was estimated by using CFD software and alternative system was suggested. Three case studies are handled in this study. 1st case is just an underground parking lot. 2nd case is about an underground parking lot where has 4 fan rooms on each floor and 3rd case is about an underground parking lot where has 4 fan rooms and 30 guidance fans on each floor.

Effects of the Impeller Inlet Tip Clearance on the Flow and Performance of Airfoil Fans (임펠러 흡입구 간극이 원심형 에어포일 송풍기의 성능에 미치는 영향)

  • Performance tests of an airfoil fan and measurement of flow fields at the impeller exit are carried out to investigate the effects of the tip clearance between the rotor and inlet casing on the impeller performance. The impeller is twelve bladed of NACA 65-810 airfoils and tested with 3 different size of gap; 1, 2, 4mm. The relative decrease of pressure rising performance of the fan is 15 percent for the design flow rate when the gap size is 1 percent of the impeller diameter. The reduction of performance becomes large as the flow rate increases. The leakage flow through the clearance affects the through flow of the impeller, which results in decrease of the slip factor as well as the impeller efficiency. The data base obtained in the present study can be used for the design and flow analysis of the airfoil fans.

  • 본 논문에서는 전압 사용율 증대를 통한 매입형 영구자석 동기 전동기의 약자속 운전 성능 향상 방법을 제시한다. 팬, 펌프 등과 같이 고속 운전이 빈번한 분야에 사용되는 매입형 영구자석 동기 전동기는 운전 속도에 따라, 적절한 약자속 운전 방법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 전류 지령 수정을 하는 매입형 영구자석 동기전동기의 약자속 운전 방법을 제시하고, 실험을 통하여 그 타당성을 입증하였다.

  • 고온 초전도체를 이용한 에너지 저장장치는 종래의 저온 초전도체를 이용한 장치에 비해 효율이 높고, 설치 면적이 작으며, 환경 친화적 특성을 갖고 있다. 또한 냉각비용이 저렴하고 저장되는 에너지 밀도가 높다. 고온초전도 선의 성능향상이 가속화됨에 따라 고온초전도 선을 이용한 초전도 전력기기의 개발이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 하지만 초전도 선이 구리선에 비하여 고가라는 단점이 여전히 문제가 되고 있다. 가격적인 측면에서 선의 사용량을 줄이기 위한 대책이 필요하다. 또한 코일의 손실해석은 전력기기의 경제성 여부와 성능향상을 위해 수행되어야 할 중요한 연구 분야 중 하나이다. 본 논문에서는 초전도 선으로 권선한 코일의 자장분포 및 인덕턴스를 유한요소법(FEM)해석을 통해 확인하였으며, 솔레이드 코일, 팬케이크 코일, 트로이달 코일의 저장용량을 결정하기 위해 비교를 통하여 최적의 형상을 도출하였다.

  • Aluminum thin plate coated with epoxy resin containing about 20wt% brass powder, was applied to fins of heat exchanger. We carried out a series of detailed examinations to evaluate the anti-bacterial performance of the plate and heat exchanger (fan coil unit). In the presence of water or moisture, copper ions which have an anti-bacterial ability eluted from brass powder and showed sufficient effects on many kinds of bacteria. We also evaluated the anti-bacterial performance quantitatively by use of the index API (Anti-bacterial Performance Index) which has already been proposed by authors.

  • The performance of the turbofan engine, a medium scale civil aircraft which has been developing in Rep. of Korea, was analyzed and the control scheme for optimization the performance was studied. The dynamic and real-time linear simulation was performed in the previous study The result was that the fuel scedule of the step increase overshoot the limit temperature(3105 $^{\cire}R$) of the high pressure turbine and got small surge margine of the high pressure compressor. Therefore a control scheme such as the LQR(Linear Quadratic Regulator) was applied to optimizing the performance in this studies. The linear model was expected for designing controller and the real time linear model was developed to be closed to nonlinear simulation results. The system matrices were derived from sampling operating points in the scheduled range and then the least square method was applied to the interpolation between these sampling points, where each element of matrices was a function of the rotor speed. The control variables were the fuel flow and the low pressure compressor bleed air. The controlled linear model eliminated the inlet temperature overshoot of the high pressure turbine and obtained maximum surge margins within 0.55. The SFC was stabilized in the range of 0.355 to 0.43.

  • We carried out fire extinguishing experiments with three kinds of water mist nozzle system. Fire extinguishing experiment according to installed nozzle height and fuel pan location was done. And fire extinguishing performance was compared with plain water and foam agent mixed solution. Water mist nozzle height was varied with 4m, 3.5m and 3m and position of fuel fan was varied 0.5m and 1m from the center of water mist nozzle. Foam agent that used in this experiment is 3% type of AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam) solution. Experimental result showed the door opening effect was little. Fire extinguishing performance of foam agent mixture water mist was better than the plain water mist only.

  • In the early stage of helicopter design, an optimal configuration is usually determined after a numerous parametric study about the aerodynamic performance due to geometric variation. In order to improve the aerodynamic performance of a shrouded tail rotor, optimization of the tip clearance gap between blade and shroud, the blade planform shape, and the arrangement of blade spacing is required. In the present study, the aerodynamic performance characteristics of a shrouded tail rotor due to geometric variation was investigated by using an inviscid compressible unstructured mesh flow solver for rotary wings.

  • Performance characteristics of propulsion systems applied to UAVs that under development or completed in foreign countries were analyzed. In this study, aircraft mission and performance characteristics of ten UAVs were reviewed and compared with current available civil and military aircraft. Also performance characteristics of UAVs propulsion systems were summarized and engine design parameters were analyzed. Thrust, SFC and design parameters such as pressure ratio and bypass ratio of UAV propulsion system were compared with the current existing civil and military aircraft engines. From this study, the design parameters of the propulsion system applied to the UAV were well understood.

헬리콥터용 반토오크 시스템 1차 시제 성능시험

  • This paper described performance test of 1st prototype "Tail-Fan" system. KARI(Korea Aerospace Research Institute) developed "Tail-Fan" system as a kind of helicopter anti-torque system(ATS) and designed ATS performance test-rig for Tail-Fan system performance test. For Tail-Fan system performance tests, firstly, test-rig operation tests were carried out for verification of design specifications. And natural frequencies of fan blade and test-rig were measured respectively. To find the operation rotating speed for performance tests, vibration tests using accelerometers on tail gear box(TGB) were carried out. Through the fanplot and vibration test results, rotational speed for Tail-Fan performance test to avoid a resonance were found and performance tests were carried out in flight conditions. We analyzed test data by non-dimensionalization. Through this results, 1st prototype "Tail-Fan" system was satisfied with design requirements.
