The purpose of mathematics education is to develop the ability of transforming various problems in general situations into mathematics problems and then solving the problem mathematically. Various teaching-learning methods for improving the ability of the mathematics problem-solving can be tried. However, it is necessary to choose an appropriate teaching-learning method after figuring out students' level of understanding the mathematics learning or their problem-solving strategies. The error analysis is helpful for mathematics learning by providing teachers more efficient teaching strategies and by letting students know the cause of failure and then find a correct way. The following subjects were set up and analyzed. First, the error classification pattern was set up. Second, the errors in the solving process of the function problems were analyzed according to the error classification pattern. For this study, the survey was conducted to 90 first grade students of ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$high school in Chung-nam. They were asked to solve 8 problems in the function part. The following error classification patterns were set up by referring to the preceding studies about the error and the error patterns shown in the survey. (1)Misused Data, (2)Misinterpreted Language, (3)Logically Invalid Inference, (4)Distorted Theorem or Definition, (5)Unverified Solution, (6)Technical Errors, (7)Discontinuance of solving process The results of the analysis of errors due to the above error classification pattern were given below First, students don't understand the concept of the function completely. Even if they do, they lack in the application ability. Second, students make many mistakes when they interpret the mathematics problem into different types of languages such as equations, signals, graphs, and figures. Third, students misuse or ignore the data given in the problem. Fourth, students often give up or never try the solving process. The research on the error analysis should be done further because it provides the useful information for the teaching-learning process.
The conversational agents such as AI speakers utilize voice conversation for human-computer interaction. Voice recognition errors often occur in conversational situations. Recognition errors in user utterance records can be categorized into two types. The first type is misrecognition errors, where the agent fails to recognize the user's speech entirely. The second type is misinterpretation errors, where the user's speech is recognized and services are provided, but the interpretation differs from the user's intention. Among these, misinterpretation errors require separate error detection as they are recorded as successful service interactions. In this study, various text separation methods were applied to detect misinterpretation. For each of these text separation methods, the similarity of consecutive speech pairs using word embedding and document embedding techniques, which convert words and documents into vectors. This approach goes beyond simple word-based similarity calculation to explore a new method for detecting misinterpretation errors. The research method involved utilizing real user utterance records to train and develop a detection model by applying patterns of misinterpretation error causes. The results revealed that the most significant analysis result was obtained through initial consonant extraction for detecting misinterpretation errors caused by the use of unregistered neologisms. Through comparison with other separation methods, different error types could be observed. This study has two main implications. First, for misinterpretation errors that are difficult to detect due to lack of recognition, the study proposed diverse text separation methods and found a novel method that improved performance remarkably. Second, if this is applied to conversational agents or voice recognition services requiring neologism detection, patterns of errors occurring from the voice recognition stage can be specified. The study proposed and verified that even if not categorized as errors, services can be provided according to user-desired results.
There are two strands for considering tile relationships between education and technology. One is the viewpoint of 'learning from computers' and the other is that of 'learning with computers'. In this paper, we call mathematics education with computers as 'computers and mathematics education' and this computer environments as microworlds. In this paper, we first suggest theoretical backgrounds ai constructionism, mathematization, and computer interaction. These theoretical backgrounds are related to students, school mathematics and computers, relatively As specific strategies to design a microworld, we consider a physical construction, fuctiionization, and internet interaction. Next we survey the different microworlds such as Logo and Dynamic Geometry System(DGS), and reform each microworlds for mathematical level-up of representation. First, we introduce the concept of action letters and its manipulation for representing turtle actions and recursive patterns in turtle microworld. Also we introduce another algebraic representation for representing DGS relation and consider educational moaning in dynamic geometry microworld. We design an integrating microworld between Logo and DGS. First, we design a same command system and we get together in a microworld. Second, these microworlds interact each other and collaborate to construct and manipulate new objects such as tiles and folding nets.

Jeong Sun-Ah built up her performance career for twenty years with bold and energetic acting and solidified her status as a leading actress of Korean musical since her debut. To benefit from the value of her experience this study performed an in-depth interview with her, applying the Theory of "Projection" and "Back-projection", which are the psychological principles of acting, and derived "acting(entering the roles)" and "de-acting(leaving the roles)" techniques. As result, Her acting mechanism involved emptying her ego, embodying a persona by projecting the role created by intensive exploration of materials like previous performance, film of the same title, original novel, and script, and then getting the ego back by back-projecting through dynamic activities such as overseas travel and dance. She pre-studied the roles by physically visiting sites that are important to the characters. She was unique in that she pursued a difference by changing vocal trainers for each musical production and undertook more intense physical training than vocal practice to achieve powerful singing performance. In most of her works (75%), she suffered from aftereffects such as depression, narcissism, hysteria, and insomnia due to disorder caused by breaking away from the roles. However, she relied on self-help and alternatives are needed in the future such as reinforcement of expert counselling. Jeong Sun-Ah appeared on an average of 1.6 productions per year, practiced for an average of 1.7 months, and performed for an average of 3.9 months with an average of 100 days of break between productions. Her performance record from this research demonstrates her constant preparation and passion, as well as the know-how of reserving and distributing energy. So, it has a valuable implications for acting education and self-management of actors and actress.
This study aims to examine how visitors in science centers interact with gesture-based exhibits from embodied cognition perspectives. Four gesture-based exhibits in two science centers were selected for this study. In addition, we interviewed a total of 14 visitor groups to examine how they perceived the property of gesture-based exhibit. We also interviewed four experts to further examine the benefits and limitations of the current gesture-based exhibits in science centers. The research results indicate that the total amount of interaction time between visitors and gesture-based exhibits was not high overall, implying that there was little of visitors' immersive engagement. Both experts and visitors expressed that the current gesture-based exhibits tend to highlight the novelty effect but little obvious impacts linking gestures and learning. Drawing from the key findings, this study suggests the following design considerations for gesture-based exhibits. First, to increate visitor's initial engagement, the purpose and usability of gesture-based exhibits should be considered from the initial phase of design. Second, to promote meaningful interaction, it is important to sustain visitors' initial engagement. For that, gesture-based exhibits should be transformed to promote intellectual curiosity beyond simple interaction. Third, from embodied cognition perspectives, exhibits design should reflect how the mappings between specific gestures and metaphors affect learning processes. Lastly, this study suggests that future gesture-based exhibits should be designed toward promoting interaction among visitors and adaptive inquiry.
This study will research the possibility about the extension from aesthetic artwork of information visualization to performance area. In information visualization fields, the function of transmitting information is important factor. In addition, the relationship with the audience concerning immersion and interactivity is also significant. Therefore, if an artwork in information visualization can extend to a performance, this study proposes that it is necessary to consider what elements are needed to intensify sensorium for the audience in that artwork. In order to solve that question, this study introduces and analyzes the installation artworks by Ben Rubin and Mark hansen in 2001. From this case study, we suggest three elements-the performing self, the performing interface and the dramatic pattern-to amplify sensorium by hypermediacy for the audience. This research would contribute to the understanding aesthetic artworks based on information visualization in terms of performing arts.
The purpose of this study is to find out the characteristics of the types(levels) of justification which are appeared by elementary mathematically gifted students in solving the tasks of plane division and spatial division. Selecting 10 fifth or sixth graders from 3 different groups in terms of mathematical capability and letting them generalize and justify some patterns. This study analyzed their responses and identified their differences in justification strategy. This study shows that mathematically gifted students apply different types of justification, such as inductive, generic or formal justification. Upper and lower groups lie in the different justification types(levels). And mathematically gifted children, especially in the upper group, have the strong desire to justify the rules which they discover, requiring a deductive thinking by themselves. They try to think both deductively and logically, and consider this kind of thought very significant.
The aim of this paper is to explore and understand, using in-depth interviews, the participant's motivation for becoming a math teacher, ways of dealing with university math knowledge and private tutoring experiences. In addition a larger aim is to understand how the individual's interest in mathematics and turing are linked to his/her larger personal tendencies contrasting secondary and university math learning. In-depth interviews were conducted with 6 pre-service teachers' subjective experiences focusing on motivation and feelings on mathematical knowledge and private tutoring. The output of this research consists of 3 cases, highlighting and conceptually developing the specific aspects under study; different ways in which individuals' involvement with the math learning and tutoring that might be connected with the ways of becoming teachers. Larger aspects of pre-service teachers' subjective experiences were sketched by contrasting the inner aspects of the individuals. Several suggestions were presented at the end with the possible research directions for math education.
This study focuses on the characteristics of terrorist bombing incidents and causal factors on terrorist bombing incidents and number of casualty per incident in Afghanistan though statistical quantitative analysis. For doing so, the bombing data from GTD(Global Terrorism Database) of START program occurred from January 1st 2002 until December 31st 2011 was used. By using descriptive analysis, chi-square, and logistic regression analysis, characteristics of bombing incidents and causal factors on the frequency of incidents and the number of casualty were identified. According to the analysis results, a clear pattern was appeared in terrorist bombing incidents. This result suggests that terrorists rationally and strategically calculate bombing operations and therefore terrorist bombing incidents and number of casualty per incident are conditioned or affected by time, season, Pashtun tribal entity, production level of drugs, the characteristics of targets.

In this paper, we characterise the joint interference alignment and power allocation strategies for a K-user multicell multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) Gaussian interference channel. We consider a MIMO interference channel with a blind interference alignment through staggered antenna switching on the receiver. We explore the power allocation and the feasibility condition for cooperative cell-edge (CE) mobile users (MUs) by assuming that the channel state information is unknown. The new insight behind the transmission strategy of the proposed scheme is premeditated (randomly generated transmission strategy) and partial cooperative CE MUs, where the transmitter is equipped with a conventional antenna, the receiver is equipped with a reconfigurable multimode antenna (staggered antenna switching pattern), and the receiver switches between preset T modes. Our proposed scheme assists and aligns the desired and interference signals to cancel the common interference signals, since the received signal must have a corresponding independent signal subspace. The sum capacity for a K-user multicell MIMO Gaussian interference channel with reconfigurable multimode antennas is completely characterised.
