Strategic deployment of GIS for fashion Industries (GIS의 패션 산업에의 전략적 전개에 대한 고찰)

  • These days GIS have rapidly deployed as input and solutions to marketing decision making problems and corresponding decision support systems in many countries including Korea. Its powerful spatial analysis tools along with data integration and graphic display capabilities let many retailers and manufacturers in fashion industry to accept GIS as a useful mean for their decision making systems. At this moment, this paper presents many facets of discussions on how GIS be applied to fashion marketing decision making problems. From provoking several questions on current fashion marketing decision making system to explaining multiattribute decision making and multiobjective decision making as tools for decision making analysis and discussing some implementation issues, this paper revealed many aspects of GIS and fashion marketing decision support system from integration point of view.

A study on the perception of 3D virtual fashion before and after COVID-19 using textmining

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the change in perception of 3D virtual fashion before and after COVID-19 using big data analysis. The data collection period is from January 1, 2017, before the outbreak of COVID-19, to October 30, 2022, after the outbreak. Big data was collected for key words related to 3D virtual fashion extracted from social media such as Naver, Daum, Google, and YouTube using Textom. After the collected words were refined, word cloud, word frequency, connection centrality, network visualization, and CONCOR analysis were performed. As a result of extracting and analyzing 32,461 words with 3D virtual fashion as a keyword, the frequency and centrality of fashion, virtual, and technology appeared the highest, and the frequency of appearance of digital, design, clothing, utilization, and manufacturing was also high. Through this, it was found that 3D virtual fashion is being used throughout the industry along with the development of technology. In particular, the key words that stand out the most after COVID-19 are metaverse and 3D education, which are in high demand in the fashion industry.

  • Today, AI image creation technology is being expanded and utilized across industries. Accordingly, various AI image creation programs optimized for the fashion industry are being developed and commercialized. In this study, we compared and analyzed the visual characteristics of fashion images created by AI image creation programs such as Playground, Midjourney, and The New Black to identify the characteristics of each program and point out areas where each program can be used and problems. The results are as follows: First, while Playground and Midjourney intuitively applied the contents of the command to create images that were different from actual fashion trends, Dannew Black created images that were relatively similar to fashion trends. Second, while Playground separates or combines images corresponding to the command content, Midjourny tends to create new images by adding and fusing various details. Third, in Playground, colors not included in the command appear randomly, and in The New Black, colors not included in the command appear coordinated, and Midjourney generates the color specified in the command relatively accurately. In conclusion, Midjourney can be used when seeking inspiration for developing unique and creative fashion designs, and The New Black can be helpful in referencing fashion trends or fashion styling. On the other hand, playgrounds can be somewhat confusing when it comes to color creation, so this is something to be careful about. It is expected that AI image creation tools can be used more efficiently in fashion design development.

  • 21세기를 대표하는 종합예술 중의 하나인 영화는 독자적인 문화권을 형성하여 거대한 산업으로 성장하였다. 영화는 패션산업과 밀접한 관계를 가지고 있다. 영화의상은 영화의 극적인 효과를 위하여 사용하는 모든 종류의 복식을 뜻하며 배우가 착용하는 의상과 헤어스타일, 머리장식, 액세서리, 신발, 분장 등은 영화의 내용 전개에 있어서 중요한 역할을 한다. 본 연구에서는 영화 속 주인공들의 스타일이 여성 패션의 흐름을 주도하기 시작한 1950년대에 유행하였던 영화들을 중심으로 영화의상이 담당하고 있는 역할과 한국인의 일상복이 전통적인 의상에서 현대적이고 서구화된 의상으로 변하는데 영향을 미친 요인들을 분석하기 위하여 1950년대에 유행한 미국영화의 분석과 1950년대에 우리나라에서 유행한 복식을 분석하고자 한다.   • Textile fashion industry is a core foundation industry, having the majority of companies with 10 or more workers, in Northern Gyeonggi Province. however the industry is mostly comprised of small unit-stream enterprises, orders are greatly reduced due to lately accelerated overseas expansion of medium/large-sized vendors and the growth-inhibiting vicious circle has being set in, as this situation causes the reduction of investment. For resolving the problems, this study proposes required political factors and concrete policy proposals by designing AHP research model(4 layers and 36 elements), based on grasp of the transitional aspect of industrial scale and business environment through analysis of various industrial statistics, preceding research such as related literature search and (industrial/academic/R&D/government) specialist opinion investigation, and then calculating relative importance and priority of each factor(element) within each layer. And for raising usefulness and availability of the research result by concretely suggesting the vision, strategies, core tasks and detailed projects in which the research model and deduced result are reflected.
