  • The purpose of this study was to arrange the korean women's hair styles of the beginning of 21st century and make hair style image making chart to use personal image making consulting data through analyze actress hair styles of broadcasting TV drama. To accomplish this purposes, picked up the two most popular dramas per each broadcasting stations, KBS1, KBS2, MBC, SBS, in february 2004. and analyzed and arranged hair styles of actress and at the last made the hair style image making chart. The results of the research are as belows. 1. Hair trends of february 2004. were Modern Sophisticated, Active and Romantic. 2. The results of three classifications of hair style trends, form, color, accessory, were as belows. 1) Form : Layer, left part, straight, low wave, long hair, no volme, bang were in vogue. Generally, Modern Sophisticated, Active, Romantic feeling were in vogue. 2) Color : Black, brown, two tone color were in vogue. Generally Modern Sophisticated, Romantic, Active feeling were in vogue. 3) Accessory : Hair bands & pins were in vogue. Generally these gave the Modern, Active feeling. 3. Hair style image making chart manufacturing depends on fashion feeling. 1) Classification of feeling, 2) Analysis of form, 3) Analysis of color, 4) Hair style image making chart manufacturing depends on fashion feeling This research will be a historical data of korean women's hair styles of the beginning of 21st century & can be used the basic data of personal hair style image making consulting.

Improved Transformer Model for Multimodal Fashion Recommendation Conversation System (멀티모달 패션 추천 대화 시스템을 위한 개선된 트랜스포머 모델)

  • Recently, chatbots have been applied in various fields and have shown good results, and many attempts to use chatbots in shopping mall product recommendation services are being conducted on e-commerce platforms. In this paper, for a conversation system that recommends a fashion that a user wants based on conversation between the user and the system and fashion image information, a transformer model that is currently performing well in various AI fields such as natural language processing, voice recognition, and image recognition. We propose a multimodal-based improved transformer model that is improved to increase the accuracy of recommendation by using dialogue (text) and fashion (image) information together for data preprocessing and data representation. We also propose a method to improve accuracy through data improvement by analyzing the data. The proposed system has a recommendation accuracy score of 0.6563 WKT (Weighted Kendall's tau), which significantly improved the existing system's 0.3372 WKT by 0.3191 WKT or more.

The Analysis of Characteristic Design of Hat and the Fashion Image in Fashion Collection (패션컬렉션에 나타난 모자와 패션이미지의 디자인 특성 분석)

  • This study is aiming to set a characteristic design and a fashion trend by analyzing hat style trends and fashion images shown in fashion collections in recent seven years. Also, based on the result of the analysis on the five world's major collections, the influence and the interrelation of hat and fashion image were analyzed. The study was performed by the context analysis method and the image evaluation method. In the context analysis method, the 1,391 pictures for hat-styles which were believed to be the standard of fashion style from the S/S season of 1998 to the F/W season of 2004 were analyzed. The research is summarized as follows. Based on the result of the fashion collections, the kinds of hats came Bowler, Beret, Cloche, Capeline, Cap and Hood in order, and Casual, Feminine, Natural, Formal, Romantic, and Mannish came in order for the case of the fashion images for putting on a hat. The result of the analysis on the characteristic of fashion design according to the kinds of hats, the casual image, with highest frequency, was found from all of the kinds except Capeline. Bowler and Cloche were conspicuous in jackets/slacks, Capeline was conspicuous in one-piece shape, and cloth silhouette showed the highest frequency in H type. As for Bowler, the color of cloth and hat was mostly black, and as for Beret and Cloche, achromatic color showed the highest frequency. But as for Capeline, the cloth color, including chromatic color, was various. As for Beret, pattern and material image were various comparatively, but as for other kinds of hats, there were the materials with no pattern and with hard material image.

Preferred Fashion Style based on the Men's Self-image Including Fashion Involved Circumstances (남성의 패션관여상황에 따라 추구하는 자기이미지와 선호 패션스타일)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the self-image of men and the characteristics of their fashion styles, as they are fast becoming an influential consumer group. Men in the thirties and forties who had a higher-than-average interest in fashion were surveyed online and the results from this study are as follows. In terms of variations of self-image connected to situations, we found that there were strong relationships between the preference of the "charming & romantic" image to private meet-ups with acquaintances, "intelligent & classy" to official events, "rational & realistic" to everyday work in an official setting, and "modest & ordinary" to complex situations including family occasions and customary events. Those who aimed for "urban refinement - sensitive" appeal also preferred a "charming & romantic" self-image, while pursuing a "classic & modern" fashion style for official settings and a "gentle & charming" style in private settings. Those who aimed for "stable elegance - intelligent" youth" image preferred the "intelligent & classy" image, while pursuing a "stable & intelligent" fashion style in official settings, and an "intelligent yet active & young" style in private settings. Those who aimed for "rational practicality - comfortable activity" image preferred a "rational & realistic" self-image, while pursuing a "rational & practical" fashion style in official settings, and a "comfortable & active" style in private settings. Those who aimed for "ordinary modesty - plain simplicity"preferred a modest and ordinary self-image, while pursuing an ordinary fashion style, and a simple style in private settings. The various situational assessments used in this study to analyze the fashion-related circumstances for male consumers can be utilized in upcoming studies, and can be an effective indicator of situational consumer preferences in terms of men's fashion marketing and product planning strategies.

  • The main focus of this study is to provide the interrelation about the defining fashion model image by the fashion trend since 1960. Second, in the 70s'; 1) Image of natural and intelligent style, Larun Hutton 2) Image of exotic style with black beauty, Imman 3) Image of graceful and sexal style, Veruschka 4) Image of glamour and sexual style, Jerry Hall. Third, in the 80s'; 1) Image of unisexual style with power, Grace Jones 2) Image of graceful and noble style, In`es de la Fressange 3) Image of healthy and sexy style, Christie Brinkley 4) Image of sexy style with good sense, super model. And fourth, in the 90s' and now; 1) Image of glamour sexual style with self-consciousness, Claudia Shiffer 2) Image of graceful style with dignity, Christy Turlington 3) Image of asexual and androginous style, Stella Tennant), 4)Image of Twiggy style with immature and slender, Kate Moss 5) Image of new glamour style, Giseel Bundchen 6) Image of new style with unique beauty, Amber Vaiietta 7)Image of exotic style, Devon Aoki 8) Extraordinary, image of various style. The result of thir study, fashion models image have played a role in transmitting the style of fashion trend in their relevancy. Anyway it can be said that fashion models imply figurative meanings of the fashion trend.

  • 'Fashion' is one of the most important aspects in game character design. However, despite its influence, analytical approaches in integrating fashion design methods in character designs are rare practices within the industry. The following paper aims point out the practicality of integrating and utilizing theoretical and formative methods in fashion design in creating character concept designs and show how the following application can create visual stimuli for artists in future concepts.

  • The purpose of this study is to review the previous researches, to make clear the difference between general image and brand image in overseas luxury fashion brands. The questionaries were given to female residents in the ages of $20s'{\sim}40s'$ in Seoul and Kyung-gi province in October 2007. The collected data were analyzed by using SPSS 12.0 software such as paired t-test. The results of this study as fellows; 1. As the result of the analysis of the difference across general images, it was regarded as the most Reputed' and 'Conspicuous' image. 2. As the result of the analysis of the difference across brand images of oversea fashion luxury brands, it was regarded as the most Reputed' image. 3. As the result of analysis of the difference between general images and brand images in overseas fashion luxury goods, it was found out that Chanel brand was regarded as more 'luxurious' and 'original' image, on the other hand, Giorgio Armani and Burberry were not.

  • This study investigated the multifaced country image. The casual relationships among the multifaced country image, attitudes toward a country, and purchase emotion and purchase intention of fashion products with Korean images were also investigated. To conduct a quantitative analysis, we collected data from 296 Korean female consumers. SPSS 12.0 and AMOS 5.0 packages were used for statistical analysis. The results of this study as follows. To identify components of country image of Korea, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were conducted. This procedure produced five components such as culture, technique/product, ethical values, nationality, and space. Structural equational model was used to analyze the relationships among the country image, attitudes toward a country, purchase emotion, and purchase intention of fashion products with Korean image. The proposed model was verified.

Effect of Self-image Pursuit by Female Consumers on Clothing Purchase Value and Fashion Images (여성 소비자의 자기 이미지 추구가 의류 소비 가치 및 패션 이미지에 미치는 영향)

  • This study verified the effect of self-image pursuits by female consumers for clothing purchase values and fashion images as well as the role of age regulations as a measurement invariance. We surveyed 717 women aged 20-60 residing in Seoul, Gyeonggi province and Incheon city. The survey showed that pursuit affects clothing purchase values, which subsequently affect fashion images. However, expressive value was not shown to affect urban style fashion images for clothing purchase values. Age (one of main parameters for market segmentation) was also shown not regulate the effect of self-image pursuits on clothing purchase values and fashion images. The results of this study can provide fundamental data to establish fashion image-based marketing to help predict consumer's purchase behavior and suggest practical advice for effective marketing strategies by applying marketing based on differentiated fashion images to fashion marketing programs.

  • This Study is designed to identify the appropriate fields of culture and art supporting activities in fashion business and to propose an effective culture and art strategy on establishment of positive fashion brand attitude. Subjects of this study were 242 young male and female consumers interested in fashion and culture marketing activities. Data were analyzed by using SPSS 12.0 with Independent-Sample T-Test, ANOVA, Duncan test. Also, we suggested the FBFit(Fashion Brand-Mecenat Fit) model by using Prefmap3. The results are as follows: First, it was revealed that culture art marketing activities such as a film, a popular music, a musical of the art and culture fields were important for maintaining the positive fashion brand image. Second, the consumer with recognition of culture and art supporting activities had a positive attitude on culture and art marketing of fashion brand. Third, FBFit model was revealed that there was a significant difference an appropriate culture and art fields for each fashion brand image. Therefore, each fashion brand has to select appropriate fields of culture and art marketing activities by considering their fashion brand image with a long term perspective.
