  • 본 연구는 판형 핀-관 열교환기의 열전달 특성을 상용 CFD 코드인 SC/Tetra를 사용하여 해석한 내용에 관한 것이다. 해석조건은 입구속도 0.63 m/s, 튜브온도 $44.5^{\circ}C$이다. 해석 열교환기는 총6가지로 검토하였으며 각각의 온도분포와 유동패턴을 해석하고 판형 핀-관 열교환기의 열전달 특성을 비교 검토하였다.

  • Plate heat exchangers have been widely used in many industrial applications because of their compactness and high efficiency. Even though plate heat exchangers have been investigated extensively, studies on the effects of geometric parameters other than the chevron angle are very limited in the open literature. In this study, the effects of the chevron angle, corrugation length, corrugation depth, and the number of plates on the heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of plate heat exchangers were investigated experimentally. Based on the experimental results, empirical correlations were proposed. More than 95% of the predictions made based on the correlations had relative deviations of less than ${\pm}10%$ when compared with the measured data.

  • 본 연구에서는 판형열교환기를 적용한 청수제조장치의 성능에 대하여 연구를 수행하였다. 판형열교환기는 자체의 높은 열전달 성능과 컴펙트한 장점으로 하여 산업에서 점차 널리 사용되고 있다. 또한 사용, 유지보수가 다른 종류의 열교환기에 비하여 편리하여 유연성 있게 사용할 수 있다. 본 실험에서는 세브론 각도가 60도인 전열판을 사용하였으며 이젝터의 작동으로 열교환기를 장착하고 있는 탱크내부에 진공압력을 유지함으로서 내부유체가 $51^{\circ}C{\sim}57^{\circ}C$에서 증발현상이 발생하는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 수치해석적 방법을 통하여 복잡하며 좁은 세브론전열판으로 이루어진 유로내의 유동특성을 파악할 수 있었다.

원자력 발전용 직교류 핀-관 열교환기의 성능 평가

  • 본 연구에서는 나선형과 판형의 핀을 가진 원자력 발전소용 직교류 핀-관 열교환기의 열량을 ARI Standard-410에 따라 실험적으로 측정하여 풍속과 냉수속에 따른 열저항 및 압력 손실을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 하였으며, 이러한 시도를 통해서 실제 열교환기의 성능 평가시 필요한 기술적 자료를 축적하고자 하였다. 실험에서는 나선형 6fin/in, 8fin/1n, 10fin/in 열교환기와 판형 8fin/in 열교환기를 사용하였으며, 풍속을 0.486m/s와 2.214m/s로, 수속을 1m/s~4m/s로 하여 실험을 행하였다. 실험 결과를 통하여, 원자력 발전소의 격납 용기내의 공기조화를 위하여 사용되어 지는 열교환기의 성능 평가 방법 및 실증 능력을 확보하였으며, 풍속 증가에 따라 총괄 열전달 계수는 전체적으로 비례 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 판형이 나선형 보다 열전달 계수가 작게 나타났으며, 나선형 열교환기의 경우 fin수에 따른 변화는 크지 않았으나, 열전달 면적을 고려한 경우에는 나선형 10fin/in 열교환기가 가장 뛰어난 열교환 성능을 발휘함을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 공기측의 압력 손실은 전체적으로 전연 풍속 증가에 따라서 속도 제곱에 비례하여 증가하는 경향을 보였다.

Study on the material properties and heating efficiency according to the internal surface coating of the brazed plate heat exchanger (BPHE) (접합 판형 열교환기(BPHE)의 내부 코팅에 따른 소재 특성 및 성능 평가에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, a silane-based coating was applied to improve corrosion resistance and thermal efficiency performance of a brazed plate heat exchanger (BPHE) composed of stainless plate and copper (Cu) brazing. Although the selected coating material was applied to the BPHE by evaluating the corrosion and contact angle according to the coating material, the result of the heat transfer performance evaluation showed that the thermal efficiency was lower than that of the uncoated BPHE. It was analyzed that the adhesion of the coating agent to the flow path inside the BPHE and the residual coating agent on the surface acted as heat resistance, preventing heat transfer. This is due to the structural characteristics of the BPHE in which a fine flow path exists inside, and it is believed that manufacturing after coating the surface of the flow path in advance in the manufacturing process of the BPHE can improve heat transfer performance.

  • Plate heat exchanger is being applied in the field of marine plants and chemical industry, such as OTEC and SWAC equipment. The study aims to interpret the heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of plate heat exchangers to determine the geometric design parameters such as the channel space. In this study, heat transfer performance was numerically studied with respect to the variation of channel spaces. The results from numerical analysis indicated that the j factor was linearly decreased with the flowrate of seawater over every cases. As the flowrate of water increased with respect to channel spaces, the j factor decreased linearly. And the f factor decreased linearly with the increase of flowrate. When the channel space is 2.8~3.2 mm and 3.2~3.2 mm, respectively, the area goodness factor of plate heat exchanger showed the highest performance.

  • The purpose of this study is to get the formulas of condensation heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop about the water to develop design program for plate type heat exchangers. The single phase flow of cold side was calculated with the correlation of Ko. Condensation heat transfer coefficient model proposed by Annaiev was used and Lockhart model was used to analyze the pressure drop. The calculation algorithm was proposed to calculate heat transfer rate and pressure drop simultaneously. The prediction errors remained within 20% compared to the commercial code in the working range of the plate heat exchangers.

  • 이 연구의 목적은 액정법을 이용하여 주름형상 판형 열 교환기에서의 내부유동과 열 전달 성능의 특성을 파악하는데 있으며 공기를 작동유체로 사용하였다. 과거에는 실험이 주로 판형 열 교환기의 입·출구에서의 열 전달 성능에만 관심이 집중되었다. 그러나 이 실험에서는 액정법을 이용하여 판형열교환기 셀 표면 위에서의 국소 누셀트수의 분포를 연구하였다. 레이놀즈수가 증가할수록 열 전달 성능은 증가하였으나 마찰계수는 감소하였다. 주름각이 증가할수록 열 전달 성능과 마찰계수는 모두 증가하였다. 국소 누셀트수 분포로부터 열 전달이 잘 일어나는 부분은 주름을 타고 넘어 들어온 두 유동이 만나는 곳이며 또한, 셀의 가운데 부분은 셀의 수직단면적이 커서 셀 표면과 유동의 접촉이 약하므로 작은 누셀트수를 가지는 것을 알 수 있다.

A Study on Thermal Performance of Plate Cooler for Cooling Medium Speed Engine Lubricant Oil (선박용 중속엔진 오일냉각용 판형쿨러의 전열성능에 관한 연구)

  • Plate heat exchangers(PHE) have been commercialized since the 1920s. Since then, although the basic concept of PHEs has changed little, its design and construction have progressed significantly to accommodate higher temperatures, higher pressures, and large heat exchanging capacities. The development trend of PHEs is consistent with heat plate developments with better thermal efficiency, lower pressure drop, and good flow distribution. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the main development processes of a plate cooler for medium-speed engine lubricant oil cooling in vessels which is in line with the development trend of PHEs and to provide its thermal performance data that were found out during experimental tests. The plate cooler in this study cannot measure the wall temperatures directly due to its structural characteristics, so the heat transfer coefficients were calculated using the modified Wilson Plot method. The water-to-water tests were first conducted experimentally to figure out the characteristics of heat transfer coefficients and pressure drops on the water side and then the water-to-oil tests followed to obtain the heat transfer coefficients on the oil side. The test results showed that heat transfer coefficients and pressure drops on both water and oil side increased with flow rates, and it was also found that all the development targets of the plate cooler in this study were achieved successfully.

Study on Design Factor and Design-code Development for Plate Type Heat Exchangers (판형 열교환기의 주요 설계인자와 설계프로그램 개발에 관한 고찰)

  • Heat exchanger has been widely used in the industry which needs energy transport, and the application of the plate type heat exchanger having high efficiency has been greatly increased. In this study main design parameters are analyzed and new equations are induced. The induced formulation was compared with a commercial program in order to design an optimal heat exchanger. The equations of heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop for Chevron angles are introduced as functions of Reynolds number. The program implemented the equations is tested with Chevron angle variation. The results show that the convective heat transfer coefficients take errors within 8% and the pressure drops have errors within 5% in the analysis conditions.
