Growth and Yield of Direct Seeded Rice in Different Seeding Dates (벼 건답직파재배에서 파종기 이동에 따른 생육 및 수량)

  • In order to determine the critical seeding date in dry paddy field at southern plain area of Gyeongbug province, dry seeds of three different rice cultivars was sown April 25 to June 20 at 15 or 10-day intervals. The number of days from seeding to emergence decreased in late seeding date : from 32 days at April 25 to 7 days at June 10 sowing. The number of seedlings showed 121-154 plants per square meter were not much differed among the varieties and seeding dates. Culm length, panicle length and ripened grain ratio decreased in late seeding date, but number of panicles per square meter, 1,000 grain weight and spikelets number per panicle were similar among the seeding dates. The cumulative effective temperature(mean air temperature-15$^{\circ}C$) from emergence to heading was very constant having 655$\pm$9$^{\circ}C$ in Keomhobyeo, 771$\pm$9$^{\circ}C$ in Donghaebyeo and 801$\pm$3$^{\circ}C$ in Milyang 95, respectively. Grain yield of Dong Haebyeo seeded in June 20 and Milyang 95 seeded in June 10 were much lower compared with other seeding dates and increased green kernel in late seeding date of Donghaebyeo and Milyang 95.

  • This study was carried out to investigate effects of poly-ethylene (P. E.) films mulching according to the different sowing date on growth and yield of Scutellarja bakalensjs G. In sowing date at Apr. 20, the number, length, diameter and yield of root was increased. In black P. E. film mulching, the growth of shoot and root was better and weed control was more effective than open field cultivation during hot season. Therefore dry weight of root was increased by 5% at Apr. 20 as compared with Apr. 1 in P. E. film mulching and that of black P. E. film mulching cultivation was increased by 13% as compared with transparent P. E. film mulching cultivation. But in nonmulching cultivation, the yield of root was increased at Apr. 1

Responses on the Agronomic Characteristics for Different Sowing Times with Perilla(Perilla ocimoides L.) (파종기 이동이 들깨 생태변이에 미치는 영향)

  • Four varieties of perilla(Perilla ocimoids L.) were tested to investigate the ecological adaptation of the crop to variations in sowing time extending from April 25 to July 25 with an interval of 30 days between each of the four sowing. As sowing time was delayed, the plant height, the number of first branches and cluster, the weight of fresh and dried stems, the day to germination and flowering decreased, showing a highly negative correlation between the showing dates and these characteristics, but a highly positive correlation between days to flowering and the required accumulated temperature. With early sowing under low temperature and long day conditions, it took about 132 days from sowing to flowering due to the long period of vegetative growth, but as sowing was delayed, the days to flowering decreased with a minimum period of 57 days. The yield of seeds in each case varied with each variety. Type A(Nonsan var.) and type B(Jinchon var.) had higher yields when sowed earlier. But type C(Namyang var. and Wooljin var.) had its highest yield in the plot sowed on May 25 and the 1000 grain weight showed a tendency to increase as sowing was delayed. In conclusion, the perilla was preyed to be a short-day plant that flowers from the begining to the middle of Sep. regardless of sowing time, so that the sowing time should be decided after due consideration of the length of the vegetative growth periods of the varieties.

Stuides on Major Morphological Traits, Yield and Yield Components of Barley II. Variations of Growth and Developmental Patterns, and Grain Yield by Different Locations and Sowing Dates (대맥의 생육 및 수량구성형질연구 제 2보 지역 및 파종기에 따른 대맥의 주요생태와 수량구성 형질의 변이)

  • In order to investigate the important morphological traits, and grain yield and its components on basis of regional variation of barley plant, Olbori was tested at 3 locations Suwon, Daejeon and Jinju for 3 years. It needed seven days around 15$^{\circ}C$ of daily average temperature for seed emergence. 104 to 144 days for Daejeon and 135 to 142 for Jinju after sowing are needed for productive tillers according to the different sowing dates, and % of productive tillers were ranged on 37-77%, showing higher value at the southern region. Young spike elongated slowly at early stage, and after floret differentiation it appeared rapid development with 1.05-1.95 mm elongating per day. Analysis of variance indicated that only number of kernels/spike showed significant differences among locations, but every traits related to grain yields revealed the significant differences among different sowing dates. Little differences between locations existed on grain yield but its large variation appeared between sowing dates, especially indicating more variation at northern regions.

  • The present experiment was carried out to investigate the effects of direct sowing time culture of Perilla frutescens var. acuta KUPO on growth yield and it's components. The number of days from seeding to emergence was recognized linear negative correlation between seeding dates. Stem length was the longest in Apr. 1 seeding, and was short in the early, and the late seeding. Stem diameter was the thickest in Apr. 1 seeding, and was thin in the early, and the late seeding. Dry weight of leaf and stem was increased on Apr. 1 seeding. Grain yield was the highest in Apr. 1 seeding date. Therefore, optimum time for direct sowing was on Apr. 1.

  • 동물성 단백질 사료를 섭취함으로써 발생되기 쉬운 광우병등을 예방하고 단경기 사초용작물로서 조숙성이고 직립형이어서 이용하기가 편리하고 건물수량은 높아서 조사료로서 사료가치가 우수한 잠재력을 갖춘 사초용 유채의 주변 생산성을 높이고자 춘파용 다수성 품종으로 선발된 Velox를 공시하여 춘파성 검정시험을 실시하였던바 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 초장, 분지수, 엽수등의 수량구성형질은 3월중하순에 파종한구가 가장 우수하였다. 2, 생초수량과 건물수량도 역시 3월중 하순에 파종한 구가 증수되었다. 3. 조단백질 함량은 파종기가 늦어질수록 높았고, NDF, ADF, cellulose 및 lignin등의 조섬유 함량은 파종기가 늦어질수록 저하되었다. 4. IVDMD은 일정한 경향을 발견할 수 없었고 건물수량이나 가소화 건물 수량은 3월중ㆍ하순에 파종한 구가 높았다.

  • 가. 작업별 시험결과 1) 마늘쪽 분리·선별작업 o 마늘쪽 분리기는 통마늘을 1 또는 2∼3쪽으로 분리하여 1차 선별하고, 마늘쪽 선별기는 분리된 마늘을 3단계로 선별되며 작업성능은 시간당 60접 이상을 분리 및 선별할 수 있다. o 개발된 마늘쪽 분리기와 선별기는 소형 경량이며 취급조작이 편리한 기종하고 작업성능이 높고 손상률이 적어 '01년도에 60대가 농가 보급되었으며 '02년도에는 확대 보급될 전망이다. 2) 파종작업 o 작업성능은 경운기용 파종기 2시간/10a, 승용관리기용 직립파종기는 1시간/10a으로 능률적이었으며 작업정도와 생육상태가 양호하였다. o 지역별 파종작업 체계 -난지형 마늘 파종은 직립파종을 하며 제주, 남해 등은 마늘을 파종한 후 10-11월 줄기가 자랐을 때 무공비닐을 피복하고 줄기를 유인하며, 무안은 유공비닐을 피복하고 구멍에 마늘의 1/2 또는 2/3만 묻히도록 파종하며 별도의 줄기유인 작업은 하지 않는다. 의성지역의 한지형 마늘은 트랙터로 쇄토정지후 보행관리기로 골을 내고 인력으로 마늘을 놓으면 관리기가 다음 골을 내면서 복토하는 체계이다. 3) 마늘 수확작업 -마늘 수확기는 난지형 마늘 수확에는 효과가 적으나, 한지형과 같이 깊게 파종하여 인력으로 뽑기 어려운 재배지역에서는 필요한 기종이며, 토양수분이 많으면 굴취된 마늘과 혼이 진동판에 걸려 작업상태가 불량하므로 마늘과 흙의 이송이 원활토록 진동판 형상 및 적정 진폭 구명이 요구됨 4) 마늘줄기 절단작업 -난지형 마늘은 포장에서 건조후 단기간(1-2주)내에 줄기절단을 해야하므로 기계환가 시급하나 한지형 마늘은 아직도 대부분 줄기를 자르지 않고 묶어서 판매하고 있어 기계화의 시급도는 떨어짐 5) 마늘 선별작업 -마늘선별기는 작업성능이 높고 5등급으로 균일 선별되었으며 손상도 없었으나, 기계가 크고 무거워 이동이 곤란하고 가격이 비싸므로 선별등급을 3∼4단계로 줄이고 소형 농가보급형으로 개량제작이 요구됨. 나. 마늘재배 일관기계화에 의한 노동투하시간과 비용 -종자준비부터 통마늘선별까지의 일관기계화로 투입된 주요작업의 노력은 75∼76%가 절감되고, 재배규모 3ha기준시 비용은 44-53%절감되었음.

Effect of Planting Dates and Drainage Methods on Growth and Yield of Sprout Soybeans in Converted Upland from Paddy Field (답전환전에서 파종기 및 배수처리가 나물콩의 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향)

  • Drainage is needed to run off excessive water stress during the rainy season for soybean cultivation in the converted upland from paddy field. This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of planting dates and drainage methods on growth and yield of sprout soybeans in the converted upland from paddy field. The stem and root growth at flowering stage showed no difference by drainage method but plant height, number of nodes and branches, and fresh weight of stem and root were much greater as planting date delayed. Seed yield was correlated positively with fresh weight of stem and root, and T/R ratio at the flowering stage, respectively. Lodging degree was not different by drainage method but was higher in planting at June 16 than May 15. Number of pods and 100 seed weight were not different by drainage method and 100 seed weight was heavy in Eunhakong, light in Kwangankong as planting date delayed. Higher seed yield was observed in surface drainage than open ditched drainage. Yield performance of Eunhakong was good in late planting, while that of Kwangankong was in early planting.

  • This study was conducted on a commerce silt loam soil at paddy field in the southwestern Korea ($36^{\circ}N$ lat). In the study of planting time, seed were hand planted at 24 May, 14 June and 5 July, and at 24 May, 14 June and 5 July in 2005, respectively. Two seedlings plants per hill were taken prior to V3 stage. Fertilizer was applied prior to plant at a rate of 3.0 - 3.0 - 3.4 g (N - P - K) per square meter. Experimental design was a randomized complete block in a split plot arrangement with three replications. Yield was significantly affected by different of the planting times and cultivars. The seed yield in planting time was the highest on late in May 24 but was the lowest on July 5. Also, the plant time significantly affected on increasing pod and seed number and seed weight. The days from emergence to flowering and maturity was reducing tendency with late planting time. The highest and lowest total dry matter production per square meter appeared at late in May and early in July with planting time, respectively. RGR, LAR and SLA was increased with late planting time. Photosynthetic rate at each planting time was not significant on the expanded the highest leaf position but at seed development stage, it was higher photosynthetic rate at May 24 than that of late planting time on $7^{th}$ laef position from the basal part.

Comparison of Several Agronomic Characteristics as Affected by Seeding Dates (파종기 이동이 맥류의 실용적 저형질에 미치는 영향)

  • A study was conducted to find out the varietal difference in some important agronomic characters in response to different seeding time in barely from 1975 to 1976 at Chikugo Agric. Expt. Station in Japan. Thirteen varieties which are diverse in growth period were used. Nine seeding time were tried. Seedling emergence, primary tillering, and formation of flower primodia were delayed in proportion to the seeding time. And also heading and maturing time showed the same tendency. This tendency appeared more conspicuous in the late maturing varieties. Therefore, days to heading and maturing duration were inversely shortened by the delay of seeding time and by earliness of variety. Number of spikes as well as culm length and spike length was reduced in the late seeding. Grain yield was reduced in all varieties by late seeding, easpecially with late maturing varieties. In this test, widely adaptable variety to late seeding time was not found, but earliness and high tillering in growth habit appeared more favorable to yield increase.
