ZigBee Service Gateway Enabling Dynamic Reconfiguration (동적 설정 가능한 지그비 서비스 게이트웨이 구조)

  • ZigBee is one of wireless communication standards and many applications based on Zigbee have been developing for commercial applications. Most of those applications require links to Internet like Zigbee service gateways. However, ZigBee service gateway should provides following functions to be effectively utilized itself: translation of messages between diverse ZigBee application profiles and message formats used in Internet, addition/removal of a new ZigBee service without stopping existing services according to addition/removal of a Zigbee node, and no transmission of unwanted packets to ZigBee network. Therefore, this paper proposes a new type of ZigBee Service Gateway, called ZiGate to provide the functions. The proposed ZiGate is capable of re-configurating message translation modules required in case of addition/removal of nodes and doesn't transmit unnecessary packets to the ZigBee networks by synchronizing itself with ZigBee network. And ZiGate provides translation modules between messages defined in Zigbee application profiles and both text-based and binary-based messages used in Internet. In this paper we implements the ZiGate and evaluates it on the test bed. This evaluations show that the proposed ZiGate works efficiently.

Design and Implementation of an Adaptive User Interface for Home Network Environments (홈 네트워크 환경을 위한 적응형 사용자 인터페이스 설계 및 구현)

  • With the growing proliferation of mobile computing devices, several industrial and academic research groups have a vigorous studying to remote control for various appliances with mobile devices such as Notebooks, PDAs, and Smartphones in home network environments. We can utilize the good points of mobile devices such as portability and usability so that we can remote control and manage the mobile devices connected on home networks anytime, anywhere. However, mobile devices use different languages. Therefore, they cause some problems because their interfaces and the methods of operation are different each other. To solve these problems, there are two consideration. First, we may be solved development of the user interface and difficulty of maintenance in order to control various heterogeneous devices. Second, we may provide the user interface which is dynamically adapting user's preferences and device characteristics. To satisfy these considerations, we describe the design of an adaptive user interface for home network environments using the UIML (User Interface Markup Language) based on XML (eXtensible Markup Language) and the profile information of the user and device. Therefore, we present several implementation examples that show how the framework can form the basis of prototypical applications.

Effect of Sensory Integration Group Therapy on Sensory Processing, Peer Interaction and Task Performance of Children With Intellectual Disabilities (그룹감각통합치료가 지적장애아동의 감각처리와 또래상호작용, 과제수행에 미치는 영향)

  • Objective : This study was designed to determine the effects of sensory integration group therapy with regard to the sensory processing, peer interactions, and task performance, and whether they continue. Methods : Twelve children aged 7 to 13 years enrolled in this study for 60 minutes per session, three times a week for 8 weeks. Sensory integration group therapy consisted of a total of 24 activities that included sensory processing, play skills, and interaction with peers. Short Sensory Profile was used to select subjects. In order to measure the outcome, we used the Short Sensory Profile, Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale and Canadian Occupational Performance Measure at pre, post, and follow-up evaluations. The results were analyzed by means of repeated measures analysis, and the pre-test, post-test, and follow-up tests were compared using the Wilcoxon matched-pair signed rank test. Results : After sensory integration group therapy, sensory processing, peer interaction, and task performance significantly improved(p<.05). In addition, we confirmed that the effects of treatment were maintained in the 4 weeks follow-up test. Conclusion : Sensory integration group therapy is an effective way of mediating effects not only by improving sensory processing skills, but also by providing imitation and training in groups for children in need of peer interaction and linking them to daily life.

Disk harrow structure analysis of non-motorized composite implement of tractor (무동력 트랙터 복합작업기의 디스크 구조해석)

  • 무동력 복합작업기는 치즐쟁기와 디스크의 배열에 따라 작업성능이 좌우된다. 프레임과 디스크, 치즐쟁기에 가해지는 기본적인 힘의 상태를 확인하기 위한 정적 구조해석을 수행하였다. 복합작업기는 디스크는 $18^{\circ}$가 경사진 형태로 전면9개 후면9로 총 18개, 치즐쟁기(Chiselplow)는 4개로, 디스크는 모두 18개이다. 정적인 상태에서 끄는 견인력은 100마력, 150마력, 200마력으로 하였으며 Inventor의 해석 시스템은 힘을 N으로 사용하기 때문에 각 마력에 부가되는 하중을 N으로 치환하여 사용하였다. 구속조건은 frame과, disc, chisel plow에 맞닿는 면을 구속하고, 힘의 방향은 프레임과 트랙터의 연결면, 디스크 날과 땅의 접촉면에 적용했다. front /rear 디스크는 이론상으로는 양 디스크가 쌍으로 마주하고 있어서 스캔데이타를 중심으로 모델링한 결과를 바탕으로, 전후면 디스크해로우의 해석을 수행하였다. 조립 또는 사용상의 문제점이나 자연적인 유격에 의해 어느 정도 대칭이 되지 않을수 있으나 그 정도에 따라 진동과 내구성에 문제가 될 수도 있기에 한쌍에 대해 모델링을 통한 해석을 수행하였다. 해석결과에 따르면 디스크에 작용하는 폰미세스 응력은 극한강도에 미치지 않은 것으로 나타났으며 Frame의 최대 폰 미세스 응력을 제외하면, 대부분의 응력은 항복강도에 현저히 미치지 못하는 수치이고, 프레임의 경우는 150마력, 200마력으로 힘을 가할 때 항복강도는 넘는 수치이지만 극한인장강도에는 미치지 못하는 수치인 것을 알 수 있었다. 100마력에 폰 미세스 응력의 최대값은 0.161918 MPa이고 프레임 강의 항복강도인 207MPa와 디스크의 항복강도인 250MPa에 못 미치는 수치이다. 150마력과 200마력의 힘으로 회전할 때의 폰 미세스 응력의 최대값은 0.286425MPa과 0.381921 MPa로 항복강도인 250MPa에 크게 못 미치는 수치이다. 그 이유는 디스크해로우 방식의 복합작업기는 견인저항력이 작게 설계되고 작업속도를 개선하기 위한 목적으로 사용되기 때문으로 사료된다. 벤치마킹 기대의 Rear 디스크도 마찬가지로 각도는 $18^{\circ}$이며, 동일한 구속조건을 적용하여 시뮬레이션을 수행하였으며 해석결과는 모두 항복강도 이내로 예측 되었다. 디스크에 최대로 응력이 미치는 부분은 디스크와 프레임이 연결되는 허브 부분이다. 각도가 커짐에 따라 응력이 증가하므로 이를 감안한 설계인자 도출이 가능하다. 마력과 각도가 증가함에 따라 디스크 해로우에 작용하는 폰미세스 응력과, 접촉압력이 증가하므로 이에 대한 검토와 동적하중인 로드프로파일을 적용한 해석을 수행하여 내구수명 특성에 대한 연구를 수행할 계획이다.

Development of Integration Protocol of Nuclear Medicine Image with A Commercial PACS (핵의학 영상을 상용 PACS에 연동 전송하는 프로토콜 개발)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop an integration protocol of Nuclear Medicine image with a commercial PACS. Two independent local networks. PACS network and Nuclear Medicine network, were connected using a Nuclear Medicine DICOM gateway A DICOM converter Program was developed to convert Interfile 3.3. which is used in nuclear medicine scanners in our hospital. to DICOM 3.0. The Program converts Interfile format images to those of DICOM format and also transfers converted DICOM files to PACS DICOM gateway. PACS DICOM gateway compares and matches the DICOM image information with patient information in Hospital Information System and then saves to PACS database. The transfer protocol was designed to be able to transfer Interfile. screen dumped file. and also scanned file. We successfully transferred Nuclear Medicine images to PACS. Images transferred by Interfile transfer protocol could be further processed using various tools in PACS. The graphs, numerical information and comments could be conveniently transferred by screen dumped file. The image in a hard copy can be transferred after scanning using an ordinary scanner. The developed protocol can easily transfer Nuclear Medicine images to PACS in various forms with low cost.

Case study of Journal Article and Reference Mapping (학술논문과 참고문헌의 자동매핑 사례 분석)

  • References at the end of an academic paper are information that helps authors keep their research ethics, readers refer to related prior studies. Also references are useful information for linking citations and citations between articles. As bibliography metrics develops, bibliographic data is used as an important data for assessing the academic influence of countries, institutions and individual researchers. However, it is not easy to identify and link the reference data due to the diversity of the bibliographic citation formats, the loss of information due to the abbreviation of journal names and author names, and typos by authors. This study investigated the method of improving the bibliographic data mapping rate by analyzing the unmapped cases. As a result, it was found that the main cause of the article-reference mapping failure was the similarity of abbreviated journal names. Research team suggested that continuous management of journal title authority data and improving the DOI registration rate as ways to improve the identification and mapping rate. This study is differentiated from other studies in used database. Bibliography mapping was attempted for domestic and foreign integrated journal database that is mainly subscribed, used, published and cited in Korea. Through reference construction volume and mapping rate improvement, it can be used as citation analysis and service database reflecting domestic situation that is different from overseas citation index database.

Channel Assignment and Routing using Traffic Profiles in Wireless Mesh Networks (무선 메쉬 네트워크에서 트래픽 프로파일을 고려하는 채널 할당 및 라우팅)

  • Wireless mesh networks can be deployed for various networks from home networking to last-mile broadband Internet access. Wireless mesh networks are composed of mesh routers and mesh clients. In these networks, static nodes form a multi-hop backbone of a large wireless access network that provides connectivity to end-users' mobile terminals. The network nodes cooperate with each other to relay data traffic to its destinations. In order to increase connectivity and better performance, researchers are getting interested in multi-channel and multi-interface wireless mesh networks. In these networks, non-overlapping multiple frequency channels are used simultaneously to increase the aggregate bandwidth available to end-users. Recently, researches have focused on finding suitable channel assignments for wireless network interfaces, equiped in a mesh node, together with efficient routing to improve overall system throughput in wireless mesh networks. This goal can be achieved by minimize channel interference. Less interference among using channels in a network guarantees more aggregated channel capacity and better connectivity of the networks. In this thesis, we propose interference aware channel assignment and routing algorithms for multi-channel multi-hop wireless mesh networks. We propose Channel Assignment and Routing algorithms using Traffic Profiles(CARTP) and Routing algorithms allowing detour routing(CARTP+2). Finally, we evaluate the performance of proposed algorithms in comparison to results from previous methods using ns-2 simulations. The simulation results show that our proposed algorithms can enhance the overall network performance in wireless mesh networks.

Structural Performance Evaluation of Offshore Modular Pier Connection using Ultra-high Performance Concrete (초고성능 콘크리트를 활용한 해상 모듈러 잔교 연결부의 구조성능 평가)

  • In this study, offshore modular pier system using the ultra-high performance concrete was developed for the offshore construction environment. For the application of offshore modular pier system, the design, fabrication, and construction performance evaluation were performed using ultra-high performance concrete a compressive strength 120 MPa or more and a direct tensile strength 7 MPa or more. For offshore piers previously constructed with precast concrete, it was intended to verify the idea and possibility of solving errors due to position or vertical deformation during the driving of the foundation pile part during the construction stage. Furthermore, a offshore modular pier system was fabricated with ultra-high performance concrete for the construction performance evaluation. The results showed that a offshore modular pier system secured about 9 % of sectional performance of load bearing capacity under ultimate load conditions. If the offshore modular pier system developed through this study is utilized in the future, it is judged that competitiveness due to sufficient durability and constructability can be secured.

Analysis of a Compound-Target Network of Oryeong-san (오령산 구성성분-타겟 네트워크 분석)

  • Oryeong-san is a prescription widely used for diseases where water is stagnant because it has the effect of circulating the water in the body and releasing it into the urine. In order to investigate the mechanisms of oryeong-san, we in this paper construct and analysis the compound-target network of medicinal materials constituting oryeong-san based on a systems pharmacology approach. First, the targets related to the 475 chemical compounds of oryeong-san were searched in the STITCH database, and the search results for the interactions between compounds and targets were downloaded as XML files. The compound-target network of oryeong-san is visualized and explored using Gephi 0.8.2, which is an open-source software for graphs and networks. In the network, nodes are compounds and targets, and edges are interactions between the nodes. The edge is weighted according to the reliability of the interaction. In order to analysis the compound-target network, it is clustered using MCL algorithm, which is able to cluster the weighted network. A total of 130 clusters were created, and the number of nodes in the cluster with the largest number of nodes was 32. In the clustered network, it was revealed that the active compounds of medicinal materials were associated with the targets for regulating the blood pressure in the kidney. In the future, we will clarify the mechanisms of oryeong-san by linking the information on disease databases and the network of this research.

Development Method on Interface Module for IFC-Based Data Exchange of Building Structures (IFC 기반의 건축구조물 자료교환을 위한 연계모듈 개발 방안)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose the method to develop IFC interface module with less time and effort, which can support the IFC-based data exchange of building structures. The core of the IFC interface module is that 1) the physical and conceptual objects well suited to the knowledge and experience of the building structures are exploited and 2) no in-depth knowledge about IFC is required. The proposed method is to 1) divide the IFC interface module into public part open to the external applications and the supporting private part, 2) reorganize the IFC entities related to the building structures into the public part, and 3) reorganize the other IFC entities into the private part. In this study, the IFC interface module was developed and then verified by the application of the module to visualization, member listing, quantity take-off and interface to Tekla of an IFC file.
