  • R&D에서 IPR(Intellectual Property Right)의 비중이 점차 늘어가는 시점에서 특허를 이해하고 이용할 수 있는 능력의 배양은 무엇보다 중요하다. 컴퓨터 사이언스 분야에서 차후 유망한 기술 중 하나로 대두되는 클라우드 컴퓨팅(Cloud Computing)에 관한 주요 기술들의 특허 지도를 작성해봄으로서 해당 기술의 현재 특허 상황을 알아보고 향후 대책을 모색한다.

The Effects of R&D Investment on Managerial Performance by Manufacturing Sector : Focused on Sales and Patent (제조 산업별 연구개발 투자가 경영성과에 미치는 영향 : 매출액과 특허를 중심으로)

  • This study is designed to analyze the status of R&D investment and managerial performance related to the domestic manufacturing. To accomplish the purpose of the study, We have regression analyzed 6,054 companies based on the data of 'Business Activity Survey' disclosed by Statistics Korea. Result of the study are as follows. First, electronics, IT, and auto industry account for 25.6% of the country's manufacturing companies and take up 75.8% of the total R&D funding for the manufacturing industry. Second, R&D funding exercises positive influence on sales and the number of registered patents, which last exerts positive influence on sales.

Analysis of Technology Trends from Words in Patent Titles (특허 발명의 명칭에 쓰인 단어를 이용한 기술동향 분석 연구)

  • Patent contains meaningful technical achievement. There are many cases explaining technology trends from the analysis of frequency of term. Term sometimes has different meaning on fields. In this paper, words from patent titles of US, Japan, Korea PCT and EPO are collected by the 5 categories of WIPO. Frequency changes rate of each word were calculated and high ranked words of 5 categories were analyzed to find relationship between patent and technology development as well as technology trends.

  • Patent analysis is the extracting knowledge which is needed for the company's research and development strategy through accumulated worldwide patent database. In order to set the future direction of corresponding technology which is scheduled to be developed, the technology trends and deployment processes are identified by analyzing results of present patent applications. The patent analysis provides the required results for analyzing present patent applications. In this paper, we will carry out technology classification for related patent analysis methods and systems. Moreover we will investigate and analyze related domestic patents, U.S. patents and IEEE papers. Due to the characteristics of technology sector, not only patents are applied but also research papers are released actively about patent analysis system. We will analyze patents according to the technology classification by using the final searching results which come from the selected search words in this study. To find necessary niche technology which is needed for patent analysis system, matrix analysis was performed to all of valid patents and papers. Identifying the technology development trends of registered patent analysis systems, and presenting the future direction of technology development which is related to patent analysis system. To figure out the technology which is developed relatively weak based on domestic patents, U.S patent and research papers by analyzing the valid patents and papers with statistical test and self-organizing map quantitatively. Then, presenting the necessity of this technology development.

  • The paradigm of economy has been transformed into knowledge based economic paradigm in 21th century. Analysis of patent trend is one of the strategic methods for increasing their patent competitive power. However, this method is just presenting statistical data about patent trend or qualitative analysis about some core technology. In this paper, we forecast technology diffusion using patent information for more progressive analysis. We make an experiment with bass model and logistic model and make use of patent data about information-security technology for NCW as input data. We conclude that the logistic model is more efficient for forecasting and this technology is approaching to the age of technology maturity.
