Big Data Analysis Platform Technology R&D Trend through Patent Analysis (특허분석을 통한 빅데이터 분석 플랫폼 기술 개발 동향)

  • The ICT (information and communication technology) paradigm shift, including the burgeoning use of mobile, SNS, and smart devices, has resulted in an explosion of data along with lifestyle changes. We have thus arrived at the age of big data. In the meantime, a number of difficulties have arisen in terms of cost or on the technical side with respect to the use of large quantities of data. However, big data has begun to receive attention with the advent of efficient big data technologies such as Hadoop. In this paper, we discuss the patent analysis of big data platform technology research and development in major countries. Especially, we analyzed 2,568 patent applications and registered patents in four countries on December 2010.

  • This study is to compare and analyze the technology competitiveness of Big Data sector through patent analysis. According to results of the analysis, the United States is the most active country on the patent activities and its applied and registered patents have multiplied in recent times. However, both CPP(Cited Per Patent) and PII(Patent Impact Index) of the US would have declined, indicating that the growth of technology in the US seems to be biased to quantitative growth of technologies. Korea has been relatively active patent activities with Japan, China and Canada, whereas it has tended to be biased to quantitative growth with the US; Therefore, Korea government needs to concentrate efforts to retain the high quality technologies.

  • This Paper reviews various formats of patent numbers that unique identifier of patent document according to country. And it describes standard DOI model that can unify each country's serveral patent numbers. Based on this patent DOI, it describes implementation method to link digitalized patent document to patent bibliographic record at a time.

  • 특허분야에서 자연어처리 태스크는 특허문헌의 언어적 특이성으로 문제 해결의 난이도가 높은 과제임에 따라 한국 특허문헌에 최적화된 언어모델의 연구가 시급한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 대량의 한국 특허문헌 데이터를 최적으로 사전 학습(pre-trained)한 Korean Patent ELECTRA 모델과 tokenize 방식을 제안하며 기존 범용 목적의 사전학습 모델과 비교 실험을 통해 한국 특허문헌 자연어처리에 대한 발전 가능성을 확인하였다.

  • MRC (Machine reading comprehension) is the AI NLP task that predict the answer for user's query by understanding of the relevant document and which can be used in automated consult services such as chatbots. Recently, the BERT (Pre-training of Deep Bidirectional Transformers for Language Understanding) model, which shows high performance in various fields of natural language processing, have two phases. First phase is Pre-training the big data of each domain. And second phase is fine-tuning the model for solving each NLP tasks as a prediction. In this paper, we have made the Patent MRC dataset and shown that how to build the patent consultation training data for MRC task. And we propose the method to improve the performance of the MRC task using the Pre-trained Patent-BERT model by the patent consultation corpus and the language processing algorithm suitable for the machine learning of the patent counseling data. As a result of experiment, we show that the performance of the method proposed in this paper is improved to answer the patent counseling query.

  • 본 논문은 특허 문서에 맞게 벡터스페이스 모델을 적용하여 특허정보 검색기를 구현한다. 기존의 상용 특허 검색 시스템의 문제점을 제시하고, 특허 문헌의 특징을 분석하여, 이를 반영한 특허 문헌 검색등의 벡터 스페이스 모델을 제시한다. 하나의 특허 문서는 서로 상이한 특성을 지닌 텍스트와 데이터의 조합으로 이루어져 있다. 따라서 이를 하나의 벡터로 표현하는 것이 용이하지 않다. 이에 대해 본 연구에서는 내용 필드들을 특성에 따라 둘 이상의 벡터로 표현하고, 수치 및 고유명 필드는 불린검색형태로 처리되는 혼합형 벡터 모델을 제안한다. 각 필드의 특징에 맞게 색인어를 추출하며, 텍스트 필드의 색인어률 벡터로 표현하는 과정에서는 잘 알려진 TF-IDF 가중치를 사용하되, 특허 문서가 IPC 특허 분류 기준에 따라 완전 분류되어 있는 문서라는 특징을 이용, 보다 정확한 가중치를 부여한다. 실험과 성능평가를 통하여 제안한 특허 모델의 유용성을 보인다.

  • In this paper, we analysis a competition to organize knowledge map as initial prepare stage based on intellectual property. We also propose the method that can be used to constitute knowledge map related in area to use basic data. In order to extract analysis data, we choose LED as an analysis technology. We provide the result of total analysis for LED application area through analysis of patent level after we extract recent patent ratio, activity index, patent family size, cites per patent as center of patent data.

  • Every country of the world in the 21st century is going to push forward the policy protecting their intellectual property right, and international movement to protect their intellectual right is still more strengthened. Under these situations, the firm is required to seek for more efficient methods of technology security and business management while the existence of business itself is at risk. The control of intellectual properties in business should be considered in the patent management. In the company, the industrial property right should be into one of the management resource, and its importance has great influence on the existence of the company. The information in patent data can be used for strategic planning purposes. This study systematically evaluates the patenting behaviour of sample of 27 business firms within the Korean metal industry. Utilizing the patent application data between 2000 and 2005, the relationship between these patenting management and company performance is analysed. This study showed that patent activity per employee and labor productivity are positive relationship, but patent activity per employee and firm size are negative relationship. Since a positive relationship between patenting and company performance could be shown, patent activity gains important as a instrument for R&D planning.

KorPatELECTRA : A Pre-trained Language Model for Korean Patent Literature to improve performance in the field of natural language processing(Korean Patent ELECTRA)

  • In the field of patents, as NLP(Natural Language Processing) is a challenging task due to the linguistic specificity of patent literature, there is an urgent need to research a language model optimized for Korean patent literature. Recently, in the field of NLP, there have been continuous attempts to establish a pre-trained language model for specific domains to improve performance in various tasks of related fields. Among them, ELECTRA is a pre-trained language model by Google using a new method called RTD(Replaced Token Detection), after BERT, for increasing training efficiency. The purpose of this paper is to propose KorPatELECTRA pre-trained on a large amount of Korean patent literature data. In addition, optimal pre-training was conducted by preprocessing the training corpus according to the characteristics of the patent literature and applying patent vocabulary and tokenizer. In order to confirm the performance, KorPatELECTRA was tested for NER(Named Entity Recognition), MRC(Machine Reading Comprehension), and patent classification tasks using actual patent data, and the most excellent performance was verified in all the three tasks compared to comparative general-purpose language models.

TTA와 함께한 ICT 표준자문서비스 - 유양디앤유, TTA로 LED 빛에 날개를 달다

  • LED 조명의 가시광에 데이터를 담아 보내는 가시광 통신(VLC) 기술 특허출원이 2009년 이후 가파르게 상승하고 있는 추세이다. 빛(Light)과 와이파이(Wi-Fi)를 합쳐 이른바 라이파이(Li-Fi, Light Fidelity)라고도 부르는 이 기술은 백만 분의 1초 간격으로 LED 조명을 켜고 끄는 것을 반복하여 데이터를 교환한다. 국내에서는 (주)유양디앤유가 2013년 이마트와 협력해 쇼핑 관련 VLC 기술을 적용한 시범 사업을 한 바 있다. (주)유양디앤유는 VLC 기술의 노하우를 바탕으로 미래 기술로 각광받고 있는 IoT를 접목해 사업을 다각화하고자 하였다. 이를 위해, 관련된 특허를 개발하고 국제 표준으로 제안하기 위해 TTA에 도움을 요청했다. TTA는 자문서비스와 함께 표준특허 인큐베이팅 사업을 연계하여 (주)유양디앤유를 지원하였다. 이를 통해 IoT를 접목한 VLC 무선 통신 국내 특허와 PCT 국제출원이 동시에 진행되는 성과를 거두었다.
