Empirical Exploration on the Component Factors of Creativity·Character for College Students (대학생 창의·인성 구성요인에 관한 경험적 탐색)

  • This study aims to theoretically and empirically establish the characteristics and component factors of creativity character of college students. Putting together preceding researches related to the concept and structure of creativity character through the theoretical approach, the in-depth interview and open survey were conducted targeting 70 specialists in education, education engineering, consultation meeting, and researchers' meeting about creativity character of college students. In the results, as creativity character for college students, creativity was classified into cognitive creativity and affective creativity while character was classified into moral character, social character, and emotional character. Especially, the creativity character of college students emphasized the importance of character more than creativity. Through such results, it aims to suggest a new perspective on creativity character of college students, and moreover to provide basic data to set up the research direction to develop a tool to measure creativity character of college students for follow-up researches. Also, it is considered to establish the theoretical, empirical foundation contributing to the establishment of teaching-learning method and education engineering qualitatively enhanced in the site of college.

Improve Stereo Matching by considering the Characteristic Points of the Image and the Cost Function (영상의 특징점과 비용함수를 고려한 스테레오 정합개선)

  • This thesis proposes an adaptive variable-sized matching window method using the characteristic points of the image and a method to increase the reliability of the cross-consistency check to raise the correctness of the final disparity image. The proposed adaptive variable-sized window method segments the image with the color information, finds the characteristic points in each segmented image, and varies the size of the matching window according to the existence of the characteristic points inside the window. Also the proposed cross-consistency check method processes the two cases with the cost values corresponding to the best disparity and the second-best disparity: when the cost values themselves are too large and when the difference between the two cost values are too small. The two proposed methods were experimented with the four test images provided by the Middleburry site. As the results from the experiments, the proposed adaptive variable-sized matching window method decreased up to 18.2% of error ratio and the proposed cross-consistency check method increased up to 7.4% of reliability.

  • 자동차용 유리는 건물 등의 창유리와 같이 판유리를 소재로 한 것이지만 일반 창유리의 기능 이외에 다음과 같은 기능이 요구된다. 1) 운전에 필요한 시야를 확보하는 것 2) 파손된 경우에도 최소한의 시야를 확보할 것 3) 충돌시 유리에 신체가 부닥쳐도 큰 부상을 주지 않을 것 4) 외부로부터 날아오는 물체에 대하여 유효한 장벽이 될 것 등이다. 자동차의 창유리로 강화되지 않은 단판 유리를 사용할 경우 위의 3)항 및 4)항의 기능을 충분히 만족할 수 없기 때문에 구미에서는 1920년대부터 강화유리와 접합유리(양쪽 모두를 합쳐서 안전유리라 부른다)가 사용되게 되었다. 현재는 각국에서도 자동차의 창에는 극히 일부를 제외하고는 안전유리 즉 강화유리와 접합유리를 , 옆창유리 및 뒷창유리에는 강화 유리를 사용하도록 법적으로 규제되어 있다. 본 글에서는 자동차용 안전 유리의 특징 및 제법 그리고 개발 예상되는 첨단 기능의 제품에 대해 서술했다.

  • 많은 기계학습 문제에서 특정 선택 문제는 전체적인 성능을 좌우하는 중요한 부분이다. 이는 불만족 고객의 식별 문제와 같이 수 많은 특징을 사용하는 문제에서 더욱 절실하다. 본 연구에서는 중요한 특징을 찾고 중복성을 제거하기 위한 몇 가지 대표적인 방법들을 불만족 고객의 식별 문제에 적용하였다. 이를 통해 먼저 정보 획득량 지표로 의미 있는 특징들을 선별하고, PCA를 사용해서 남아있는 중복성을 줄이는 방법이 가장 좋은 결과를 얻었다.

  • A thyridid species, Rhodoneura sugitanii(Matsumura), is newly recorded from the southern part of South Korea. Brief discussions of the diagnostic characters of Rhodoneura and the species newly recorded to Korea, R. sugitanii, are provided with illustrations of male and female genitalia of R. sugitanii.

  • 산업헉명 이후 유리와 철의 이용은 넓은 개구부를 지닌 대형공간을 지닌 건축을 가능케 하였고, 1970년대 이후 새로운 건축양식의 추구라는 시대적 요구는 아트리움의 건축적 응용을 확산하게 하였다. 아트리움은 다층건물의 유리로 덮힌 대형공간으로 건물의 중심적이고 내부적인 공공의 공간이다. 대형공간으로서 아트리움의 가장 큰 특징은 넓은 채광창을 통해 실내로 유입되는 태양광에 있다. 넓은 채광창은 사람들에게 시각적인 개방감을 제공하며, 또한 많은 채광량으로 식재에 의한 조경이 가능해 외부공간과 같은 분위기를 연출하면서도 비·바람·추위 등으로부터 보호되는 쾌적한 온열환경을 제공하고 있다.

A STUDY OF SPATIAL ABILITY AND WINDOW PRESENTATION STYLES IN WEB-BASED INSTRUCTION (웹 기반 학습에 있어서 공간 지각력과 정보제공 창의 형태 간의 관계 분석)

  • A window presentation style, either tiled window or single page design, determines the spatial arrangement of information in a modern computer-based instructional design. This study investigates the interaction between spatial ability and window presentation style in terms of student's achievement of cognitive knowledge through Web-based instruction. Seventy-one students from the Falk School in Pennsylvania were pre-tested to determine their level of spatial ability, then randomly divided into two treatment groups in order to study a Web-based instructional unit on flowering plants. The Web-based instructional package was organized with either tiled window presentation or single page presentation. A posttest measured participants'acquisition of the instructional content. Posttest and spatial ability test scores were analyzed using multi-variate linear regression for the full sample (n=71) and three sub-samples: (a) 4th and 5th grade students only, (b) female students only, and (c) 4th and 5th grade female students only. The goals of the data analysis included the examination of (i) the correlation between spatial ability and posttest scores; (ii) the correlation between window presentation style and posttest score; and (iii) the interaction between spatial ability (aptitude) and presentation style (treatment).The data from all four sample groups showed a significant relationship between spatial ability and achievement of cognitive knowledge at the 1% level of significance. The aptitude-treatment interaction between spatial ability and style of window presentation was not significant in the full sample, but was significant in the sub-samples either at the 10% or 5% level. In neither the full sample nor any sub-sample data did window presentation style have an impact on average posttest score. In all analyses, the higher the level of spatial ability, the higher the posttest score. The sub-samples revealed that students with low spatial ability performed better with the tiled window presentation, while those with high spatial ability did better with the single page presentation. Neither window presentation style was shown to better foster learning by children of all levels of spatial ability.

Deep Learning-based Stock Price Prediction Using Limit Order Books and News Headlines (호가창과 뉴스 헤드라인을 이용한 딥러닝 기반 주가 변동 예측 기법)

  • Recently, various studies have been conducted on stock price prediction using machine learning and deep learning techniques. Among these studies, the latest studies have attempted to predict stock prices using limit order books, which contain buy and sell order information of stocks. However, most of the studies using limit order books consider only the trend of limit order books over the most recent period of a specified length, and few studies consider both the medium and short term trends of limit order books. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a deep learning-based prediction model that predicts stock price more accurately by considering both the medium and short term trends of limit order books. Moreover, the proposed model considers news headlines during the same period to reflect the qualitative status of the company in the stock price prediction. The proposed model extracts the features of changes in limit order books with CNNs and the features of news headlines using Word2vec, and combines these information to predict whether a particular company's stock will rise or fall the next day. We conducted experiments to predict the daily stock price fluctuations of five stocks (Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Google, Tesla) with the proposed model using the real NASDAQ limit order book data and news headline data, and the proposed model improved the accuracy by up to 17.66%p and the average by 14.47%p on average. In addition, we conducted a simulated investment with the proposed model and earned a minimum of $492.46 and a maximum of $2,840.93 depending on the stock for 21 business days.

Differences in Creative Personality and Environment between Higher-Level and Lower-Level Students in Scientific Creativity (창의 성향, 환경, 과정, 산물의 상관 분석 및 과학 창의성 상·하위 학생의 창의 성향과 환경의 차이)

  • This study aims to analyze the correlation of creative personality, environment, process, and product as related to scientific creativity for different levels of elementary school students. We evaluated 105 fifth graders' responses to two tests: i) the scientific creativity test for creative process and product and ii) the self-report test for creative personality and environment. In the self-report test, creative personality comprises cognitive and affective personality, and creative environment constitutes home and school environments. To attain a deeper understanding of phenomena that cannot be explained by a quantitative analysis, interviews were conducted with four students who had the highest scores in creative product and four students who had the lowest scores in creative product while having higher-than-average scores in creative process. First, correlation of creative personality and environment were not significant. Second, in the interviews, students who had the highest scores in scientific creativity had common characteristics, namely, the ability to endure current difficulties to achieve future success and the propensity to listen to other people's ideas critically. Third, students who had the highest scores in creativity hailed from families that respected their opinions, whereas students with the lowest scores belonged to families that disregarded or neglected their opinions. Finally, this study specifies the criteria that should be considered for affective and environmental aspects of scientific creativity education.
