  • DS(Differentiated Service)에서는 RSVP와 같이 개별 flow에 대한 QoS제공이 아닌 flow들의 집합(aggregate)으로 차등적인 서비스를 제공하는 방법이다. 확장성을 고려한 이러한 방안은 광역백본망 에서와 같이 수천, 수만의 flow들에 대해 서비스를 제공하고자 할때 flow들을 집합(aggregate)화 하여 차등적인 서비스를 제공하고자 하는 것은 매우 큰 의미가 있다고 할 수 있다. 하지만 DS에서는 Token Bucket 방법을 사용하여 트래픽 스트림을 측정하는 이유로 불특정 flow에 대해 심각한 QoS손실을 야기할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 자원공유의 공정성을 기여하기 위해 Traffic Conditioner에서 사전 모니터링 방법을 사용하고 이 모니터링 결과를 Weighted Fair Queuing의 파라메터로 사용하여 잉여 자원을 효율적으로 사용하는 방안을 제시한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 미래의 네트워크 모델에 적합하도록 설계한 생태계 모방 임베디드 미들웨어(BIEM : Bio Inspired Embedded Middleware)를 구현하고, 그의 구조와 특성을 기술하며, 성능을 평가하여 BIEM의 정확성을 검증한다. BIEM의 정확성을 검증하기 위해, BIEM 위에서 응용프로그램을 실행시켰을 때와 독립적으로 일반적인 해를 구했을 때의 결과를 비교한다. 또한 서비스 제공을 위해 요구되는 통신오버헤드를 측정하여, 오버헤드가 네트워크 트래픽에 얼마나 영향을 미칠지에 대해서 알아보고, 마지막으로는 이주서비스에 소요되는 시간을 비교 및 분석한다. 이를 통해, BIEM이 미래 네트워크에 이용될 수 있는 하나의 시스템임을 결론지을 수 있다.

  • This paper evaluates performance of a dynamic wavelength and bandwidth allocation algorithm of TWDM PON (time and wavelength division multiplexed passive optical network) which consists of an OLT (optical line termination) and multiple ONU (optical network unit). The allocation algorithm reduces the number of upstream wavelengths to save power. Using self-similar traffic, we simulate TWDM PON systems and measure the average packet delay and the average number of upstream wavelengths.

An Aggregate Three Color Marker without Per Flow Management for End-to-End QoS Improvement of Assured Service in DiffServ (DiffServ 방식에서 플로별 관리 없이 Assured Service의 End-to-End QoS를 향상하기위한 Aggregate Three Color Marker)

  • In this paper, we propose an Aggregate Three Color Marker without per flow management which is required for an Edge router to improve End-to-End QoS of Assured Service in DiffServ. Proposed Aggregate Three Color Marker is used with the Adaptive RIO-DC scheme to achieve the minimum rate guarantee without per flow management. Assuming that the admission control for Assured Service has been performed, proposed Aggregate Three Color Marker measures incoming In-profile traffic rate at the output link of an edge router using a token-bucket with a token rate equal to the sum of contracted rates of admitted flows passing the edge router. If there are token losses from the token bucket, out-of-profile packets are promoted to Yellow packets within the aggregate traffic profile. And yellow packets are demoted to out-of-profile packets at the input link to an Edge router fer the purpose of fairness maintenance. In-profile packets and Yellow packets are processed identically at the RIO-DC buffer management scheme in our proposed method. Simulation results show that through using proposed Aggregate Three Color Marker with the Adaptive RIO-DC scheme, the minimum rate guarantee for Assured Service can be achieved without per flow management at multiple DiffServ domains.

Analysis of Packet Transmission Delay in the DC Power-Line Fault Management System using IEEE 802.15.4 (IEEE 802.15.4를 적용한 직류배전선로 장애관리시스템에서 패킷전송 지연시간 분석)

  • IEEE 802.15.4 has been emerging as the popular choice for various monitoring and control applications. In this paper, a fault management system for DC power-lines has been designed using IEEE 802.15.4, in order to monitor DC power-lines in real time, and to rapidly detect faults and shut off the line where such faults occur. Numbers were allocated for each node and unslotted CSMA-CA method of IEEE 802.15.4 was used, the performance of which was analyzed by a simulation. For such purpose, a total of 60 bits of the control data consisting of 16 bits of the current, 16 bits of the amplitude, 28 bits of the terminal state data were sent out, and the packet transfer rate and the transmission delay time of the fault management system for DC power-lines were measured and analyzed. When the traffic load was 330 packets per second or lower, the average delay time was shown to be shorter than 0.02 seconds, and when the traffic load was 260 packets per second or lower, the packet transfer rate was shown to be 99.99% or higher. Therefore, it was confirmed that the stringent condition of US Department of Energy (DOE) could be satisfied if the traffic load was 260 packets per second or lower, The results of this study can be utilized as basic data for the establishment of the fault management system for DC power-lines using IEEE 802.15.4.

  • For very large multimedia traffic to be supported successfully in wireless network environment, it is necessary to provide Quality-of-Service(QoS) guarantees between mobile hosts(clients). In order to guarantee the Qos, we have to keep the call blocking probability below target value during handoff session. However, the QoS negotiated between the client and the network may not be guaranteed due to lack of available channels for traffic in the new cell, since mobile clients should be able to continue their on-going sessions. In this paper we propose a efficient load-balancing algorithm based on the adaptive bandwidth reservation scheme for enlarging available channels in a cell. We design a new method to predict the mobility of clients using MPT(mobility profile table). This method is then used to reserve a part of bandwidths for handoff calls to its adjacent cells and this reserved bandwidth can be used for handoff call prior to new connection requests. If the number of free channels is also under a low threshold value, our scheme use a load-balancing algorithm with a adaptive bandwidth reservation. In order to evaluate the performance of our algorithm, we measure the metrics such as the blocking probability of new calls and dropping probability of handoff calls, and compare with other existing schemes.

  • In this paper, a traffic adaptive sleep based medium access control (TAS-MAC) protocol for wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is proposed. The protocol aims for WSNs which consist of clustered sensor nodes and is based on TDMA-like schema. It is a typical schedule based mechanism which is adopted in previous protocols such as LEACH and Bit-Map Assisted MAC. The proposed MAC, however, considers unexpected long silent period in which sensor nodes have no data input and events do not happen in monitoring environment. With the simple traffic measurement, the TAS-MAC eliminates scheduling phases consuming energy in previous centralized approaches. A frame structure of the protocol includes three periods, investigation (I), transmission (T), and sleep-period (S). Through the I-period, TAS-MAC aggregates current traffic information from each end node and dynamically decide the length of sleep period to avoid energy waste in long silent period. In spite of the energy efficiency of this approach, the delay of data might increase. Thus, we propose an advanced version of TAS-MAC as well, each node in cluster sends one or more data packets to cluster head during the T-period of a frame. Through simulation, the performance in terms of energy consumption and transmission delay is evaluated. By comparing to BMA-MAC, the results indicate the proposed protocol is more energy efficient with tolerable expense in latency, especially in variable traffic situation.

  • 트래픽의 흐름을 조절하고 ATM 네트워크 자원의 사용을 최적화하기위해서는 폭주로 인한 성능 저하를 막기 위한 적절한 제어가 필요하다. 기존의 사용자 감시 제어(UPC) 메커니즘이 네트워크의 상황과는 관계없이 매우 불안정한 예방적 기능만을 수행하였고, qvj로 인해 셀 지연을 가중시키는 한계점을 갖고 있었다. 본 논문은 OAM 셀을 이용하여 네트워크의 상태에 따라 능동적으로 반응하는 적응적 사용자 감시 제어 메커니즘을 제안하고ㅡ 버퍼로 인한 지연을 고려하여 서비스의 한층 더 높이고자 한다. 제시한 사용자 감시 제어방식은 OAM 셀이 주는 정보를 바탕으로 네트워크 내의 상황을 판단하여 사용자가 요구한 서비스의 질을 고려할 수 있도록 리키율과 버퍼의 문턱값을 조정하였다. 네트워크가 분주시에는 리키율을 낮추고 버퍼를 줄여서 네트워크 내에 유입되는 셀을 막는 역할을 하고 네트워크가 한가할 때는 리키율을 높히고 버퍼를 늘여서 빠르게 네트워크 내로 셀이 유일도리 수 있\ulcorner 한다. 폭주 발생 시에는 셀의 유입을 막고 푹주 상태가 해결될때까지 스페이서의 작동을 멈춘다. 본 논문에서 제시한 사용자 감시 제어 메커니즘의 트래픽 소스 모델은 IPP로 모델링하였고, 트래픽은 음성과 고속 데이터를 중심으로 시뮬레이션하였다. 음성과 고속 대이타 각각의 경우에 시뮬레이션한 결과를 기존의 방식과 비교, 분석한 결과에서 음성에서는 버퍼지연이 대폭 줄였고 고속 데이터인 경우에는 셀 손실율이 줄어드는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 따라서 제시한 방식에 의해 사용자가 요구하는 서비스의 질을 유지하면서 동시에 네트워크의 자원을 효율적으로 사용하였음을 알 수있었다.에 적합한가를 고찰하였다.베이터에 의한 아파트의 소음 및 진동에 관하여 그 현황, 원인 그리고 대책에 관한여 논하고자 한다.감 방법을 연구하였고, T.Sakai는 5자유도 모델을 이용하여 엔진 공회전시 발생하는 치타음에 대해 이론과 실험을 통해 해석하고, 엔진 회전수 변동, 클러치 특성, 변속기의 드래그(drag) 토크의 영향과 치타음 저감을 위한 개선된 클러치 특성을 제시하였다. 이 외에도 Thomas C.T.와 E.P.Petkus는 특정 차량에 대한 동력전달계의 비틀림 진동 현상에 대해 연구하였다. 이러한 연구들로 볼 때, 자동차 동력전달계에서 발생하는 진동은 이론과 실험을 통해 그 해석이 가능하며 설계에 매우 유용하게 이용되고 있음을 알 수 있다. 따라서, 본 연구는 4 실린더 4 싸이클 1.5 L 엔진을 장착한 경승용차의 실차 주행실험을 통해 가속 페달의 급조작에 따른 차체의 종진동 현상을 측정하고, 엔진-변속기-타이어-차체의 반환정계 4자유도 진동모델로 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 실차 주행실험의 결과치와 비교, 분석한 후 클러치 비틀림 특성을 비롯한 자동차 동력전달계의 각 설계인자들이 차체의 종진동에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 해석하고자 한다.be presented.LIFO, 우선 순위 방식등을 선택할 수 있도록 확장하였다. A Study on User Behavior of University Library Website based Big Data: Focusing on the Library of C University (빅데이터 기반 대학도서관 웹사이트 이용행태에 관한 연구: C대학교 도서관을 중심으로)

  • This study analyzes the actual use data of the websites of university libraries, analyzes the users' usage behavior, and proposes improvement measures for the websites. The study analyzed users' traffic and analyzed their usage behavior from January 2018 to December 2018 on the C University website. The website's analysis tool used 'Google Analytics'. The web traffic variables were analyzed in five categories: user general characteristics, user environment analysis, visit analysis, inflow analysis, site analysis, and site analysis based on the metrics of sessions, users, page views, pages per session, average session time, and bounce rate. As a result, 1) In the analysis results of general characteristics of users, there was some access to the website not only in Korea but also in China. 2) In the user experience analysis, the main browser type appeared as Internet Explorer. The next place was Chrome, with a bounce rate of Safari, third and fourth, double that of the Explore or Chrome. In terms of screen resolution, 1920x1080 resolution accounted for the largest percentage, with access in a variety of other environments. 3) Direct inflow was the highest in the inflow media analysis. 4) The site analysis showed the most page views out of 4,534,084 pages, followed by the main page, followed by the lending/extension/history/booking page, the academic DB page, and the collection page.

Efficient Tracking System for Passengers with the Detection Algorithm of a Stopping Vehicle (차량정차감지 알고리즘을 이용한 탑승자의 효율적 위치추적시스템)

  • The location-based service is emerging again to the public attention. The location recognition environment up-to-now has been studied with its focus only on a person, an object or a moving object. However, this study proposes a location recognition model that serves to recognize and track, in real time, multiple passengers in a moving vehicle. Identifying the locations of passengers can be classified into two classes: one is to use the high price terminal with GPS function, and the other is to use the economic price compact terminal without GPS function. Our model enables the simple compact terminal to provide effective location recognition under the on-boarding situation by transmitting messages through an interface device and sensor networks for a vehicle equipped with GPS. This technology reduces transmission traffic after detecting the condition of a vehicle (being parked or running), because it does not require transmission/receiving of information on the locations of passengers who are confined in a vehicle when the vehicle is running. Also it extends battery life by saving power consumption of the compact terminal. Hence, we carried out experiments to verify its serviceability by materializing the efficient tracking system for passengers with the detection algorithm of a stopping vehicle proposed in this study. Moreover, about 200 experiments using the system designed with this technology proved successful recognition on on-boarding and alighting of passengers with the maximum transmission distance of 12 km. In addition to this, the running recognition tests showed the test with the detection algorithm of a stopping vehicle has reduced transmission traffic by 41.6% compared to the algorithm without our model.
