중공의 Tribology

  • 중공이 성립된것이 1949년 10월이며, 그후 1952년부터 5개년계획의 공업건설이 시작되어, 소련으로 부터 돌아온 연구자와 기술자가 중심이 되어 과학원소층의 연구소 (장춘광학정밀기계연구소 등), 대학((청화대학 등)및 각공업부의 연구소에서 본격적인 연구가 시작되었다. 그후 1962년에 전국 Tribology 회의를 처음으로 난주에서 열고, 100편의 논문이 발표되었다. 그후 중소관계악화, 1965년말에 발표된 문화혁명의 영향을 받아 사실상 연구는 완전히 스톱된 상태가 되고 말았다. 그후 천안문사건, 그리고 사인조실각의 이듬해인 1977년 연구지도등의 명을 받고, 마찰, 마모, 윤활의 연구를 재개하게 되었다.

Effects of Hydraulic Force on the Unbalance Vibration of Centrifugal Pump Rotors (원심펌프 회전축계의 불평형 응답에 미치는 유체력의 영향)

  • The paper presents an analytical investigation of the unbalance vibrations of a pump rotor. The analysis applies to rotor-bearing-seal-impeller systems which consist of rigid disks, distributed parameter rotor elements and discreate bearings, seals, and impellers. The dynamic hydraulic force of bearing, seal and impeller elements are represented by four stiffness coefficients arid four damping coefficients. Numerical results are presented for unbalance response associated with various kinds bearing, and with effects of seal and impeller forces.

  • 시일의 접촉면이 경사지고, 정현파형이 존재하며 코닝이 있는 경우에 대한 해석을 하였다. 또한 시일링 간극에 존재하는 유체는 비압축성 점성유체이다. 이러한 요소들을 고려한 레이놀즈 방정식의 일반해를 구하기 위하여 멱급수 근사이론을 이용하여 압력분포를 구하였고, 이 결과를 이용하여 시일의 누설 유동량 및 마찰 토오크를 해석하였다. 계산 결과에 의하면 시일 접촉면의 표면파형이나 코닝에 비하여 경사정도가 시일의 성능에 커다란 영향을 주고 있음을 보여주고 있다.

  • 자동차용 부동액은 전열에 의한 발생열을 제거하고 Engine을 냉각시키는 물질로서, 이의 종류는 Alcohol계를 비롯하여 Glycol계 및 Ethylene Glycol계가 있다. 우리나라의 자동차 수출도 해를 거듭하여 증가일로에 있고, 근간에 있어서는 정부로 부터도 동구권 개방정책이 함께 대두되어 자국의 자동차 수출은 물론, 이의 사용되는 부품도 다국적 수출 전망이 매우 밝아지고 있음을 비추어 볼때, 방식제의 변천도 시대적응에 대응해야 하므로 본 논고에서는 사용수가 다른 Coolant의 구성인자들을 비롯한 제목건에 대하여 간략하게 기술하여 보고자 한다.

  • Stiction is an undesirable phenomenon that can be encountered often in Micro-Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) applications, In order to minimize this effect, Self-Assembled Monolayers (SAM) are commonly used. In this work the frictional characteristics of SAM are investigated using both micro-tribotester and SPM. It was found that the performance of SAM is quite sensitive to coating condition. The experimental results show promise for SAM to be used in sliding applications of micro systems.

  • Frictional performance of ring pack in internal engine is investigated by varying spatial dimensions of ring pack and operating speed. This investigation is performed with commercial software by Ricardo Consultant Engineers, Inc. which is now in wofdwide use in automobile industries. Among the ring performances, blow-by rate, axial ring motions and frictional behaviors of top and second rings are studies in our work.

  • The undesired situation of development of tribology and its reason is analyzed. The problem comes from insufficient study on the concept system and method system, which can match the name, definition and nature of tribology. The existence of three axioms in tribology is discussed. They are axiom of system dependent, axiom of time dependent and axiom of coupling of behaviors of multi-discipline. A series of lemmas has been deduced from three axioms. It is expected that they can be a foundation to establish the concept system and method system.

  • A numerical simulation of the temperature rise for sliding surface in dry contact is based on Jaeger's formula combined with a calculated heat input. A gear tooth temperature analysis was performed. The pressure distribution has the Hertzian pressure distribution on the heat source. The heat partition factor is calculated along line of action. A Temperature distribution of tooth surface is calculated about before and after profile modification. A Temperature of addendum and deddendum in modified gear have reduced.

  • In this paper, an experiment was carried out to measure the hydrodynamic oil pressure distribution in the clearance gap between a piston and cylinder. The results showed that the pressure distributions are highly affected by the eccentricity of the piston. Therefore present experimental method can be used to enhance the performance of hydraulic piston pumps. Further experimental studies for various operating conditions and improvement in data acquisition methods are required to obtain more accurate results.

  • The secondary motion of piston greatly influences the dynamic and frictional performances of an engine. The motion is very related to the clearance, sliding velocity and skirt profile, etc. In our work, piston dynamics is analyzed with the commercial analysis software, PISDYN by Ricardo Consultant Engineers, Inc. The effects of profiles with piston pin offsets are studied regarding the secondary motion of piston and several results are compared.
