UHF대역 TV 튜너에 적용을 위한 가변형 대역통과필터 (SIP based Tunable BPF for UHF TV Tuner Applications)

  • In this paper, a tunable bandpass filter with mutual inductive coupling circuits is newly designed and demonstrated for UHF TV tuner ranged from Ch.14(473MHz) to Ch.69(803MHz) applications. Conventional HF tuning circuit with an electromagnetic bandpass filter has several problems such as large size, high volume and high cost, since the electromagnetic filter is comprised of several passive components and air core inductors to be assembled and controlled manually. To address these obstacles, peaking chip inductor was newly applied for constructing the mutual inductive coupling circuit. The proposed circuit was newly and optimally designed, since the chip inductor showed lower components Q-value than the air core inductor. A varactor diode has been also used to fabricate the proposed tunable bandpass filter for RF tuning circuit. The fabricated tunable filter exhibited low insertion loss of approximately -3dB, high return loss of below -10dB, and large tuning bandwidth of 330MHz.

필터뱅크에 적합한 새로운 구조를 갖는 저대역 튜너블 BPF에 관한 연구 (A Study on Low-Band Tunable BPFs with a Novel Structure Suitable for the Filter Bank)

  • In this paper, we present a tunable BPF with a novel structure. The filter is very useful to optimization of low frequency filter performance, because the fiilter has air-coils and tuning screws. This filter also has the merits of light weight and small size in comparison with conventional tunable filter at low frequency. This type filters are especially suitable for switched filter bank due to tuning structure. We designed 4 channel filter bank with two SP4Ts and 4 BPFs using novel structure. Tuning processes were subsequently executed. We obtained satisfactory performances as a result; consequently, the validity of our proposal was proved.

  • In this paper an MMIC VCO which can be used in a double conversion TV tuner is designed, fabricated and measured. The VCO is designed using the small signal method and fabricated using ETRI GaAs MMIC foundry. The 3x200$\mu$m gate width MESFET with 1$\mu$m gate length is used for an active device and MIM capacitors, spiral inductors, thin film resitors are used as passive elements. The VCO has output power of 10.95dBm at 1955 MHz with 5V bias voltage and 4V tuning voltage. The oscillation frequency change form 1947 MHz to 1964 MHz is obtaine dby an external varactor diode connected to the gate with a tuning voltage from 0 V to 6V.

포항 방사광 가속기의 고주파시스템 설계

  • 현재까지 진행된 저장링 격자의 기본설계에 따라, 고주파 시스템 특히 Cavity와 고전력 고주파시스템의 기본 요구사항 및 기본구조를 보여주었다. 이외에도 저장링의 고주파시스템은 아주 잘 설계된 정밀 고주파회로의 둣받침을 받아야 하는데 이에 대한 설계는 아직 초기단계에 있다. 안정된 500MHz 전원에서부터, Cavity내부 및 외부, 또 Klystron의 출력 등등의 상태를 파악하는 amplitude 및 phase detector들 또한 phase shifter, 신호감쇄기, 튜너 등이 많은 feedback 회로를 통해 서로 연결되어 각종 고, 저전력 시스템을 control하고 Cavity간의 위상을 맞추어 주어야 한다. 또한 이모든 system은 computer control 및 manual control이 가능해야 하고, 고압(-50KV), 고전류(-15A)가 사용되고 또한 Cavity 자체가 전체 저장링의 진공 시스템을 파괴할 수도 있으므로 이에 대한 초고속의 안전 relay 시스템도 설치되어야 한다. 충분한 빔의 수명을 위한 최대전얍은 1.5MV 내지 2.3MV로서 3개 또는 4개의 Cavity가 필요하고, 필요전력은 최소 171KW에서 최대 512KW까지임을 보여주었다. 여러가지 가능한 layout에서 PLS에 적합한 구조를 선택하였으며 기존 가속기들에 사용된 기술수준을 능가하는 특별한 요구사항은 없음을 보여주었다.

고온초전도 박막을 이용한 튜너블 이상기의 마이크로파 특성 (Microwave Properties of Tunable Phase Shifter Using High Temperature Superconducting Thin Film)

  • High temperature superconductor, $\YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-x}$ (YBCO) and ferroelectric, $\Ba_{0.1}Sr_{0.9}TiO_{3}$ (BST) multilayer thin films were deposited using on MgO(100) substrates pulsed laser deposition. The thin films exhibited only (001) peaks of YBCO and 1357 The HTS thin films demonstrated excellent zero resistance temperature of 92.5 K. We designed and fabricated HTS ferroelectric phase shifter using high frequency system simulator and standard photolithography method, respectively The HTS phase shifter shows a low insertion loss (2.97 dB) and large phase change ($\162^{circ}$) with 40 V do bias at 10 GHz. The HTS phase shifter shows 54 of figure of merit. These results can be applicable to phased anay antenna system for satellite communication services.

디지털 TV 튜너용 900MHz CMOS RF Front-End IC의 설계 및 구현 (Design of 900MHz CMOS RF Front-End IC for Digital TV Tuner)

  • We designed and implemented the RFIC(RF front-end IC) for DTV(Digital TV) tuner. The DTV tuner RF front-end consists of low noise IF amplifier fur the amplification of 900 MHz RF signal and down conversion mixer for the RF signal to 44MHz IF conversion. The RFIC is implemented on ETRI 0.8u high resistive (2㎘ -cm) and evaluated by on wafer, packaged chip test. The gain and IIP3 of IF amplifier are 15㏈ and -6.6㏈m respectively. For the down conversion mixer gain and IIP3 are 13㏈ and -6.5㏈m. Operating voltage of the IF amplifier and the down mixer is 5V, current consumption are 13㎃ and 26㎃ respectively.

비대칭적 구조 전자파 잔향실 전자기장 균일도 해석 (Field Uniformity Analysis of Reverberation Chamber with Asymmetric Structure)

  • 전자파 잔향실은 일반적으로 직사작형 구조의 차폐실에 전자기장 균일도를 향상시키기 위한 모드 스터러 또는 모드-튜너로 구성된다. 본 논문은 기존에 많이 사용되는 직사각형의 잔향실 구조 대신 두 종류의 비대칭 구조를 사용하였을 경우의 전자기장 균일도 개선효과에 관하여 검토한 것이다. 하나는 Quadratic Residue Diffuser (QRD)를 사용한 비대칭 구조, 그리고 다른 하나는 Randomly Made Diffuser(RMD)를 사용한 비대칭 구조의 전자파 잔향실이다. Finite-Difference Time-domain(FDTD) 수치해석 방법을 사용하여 두 종류의 전자파 잔향실에 관한 전자기장 균일도 특성을 조사하였다.

프로토콜 역설계를 이용한 전자전시험장비 제어 및 신호분석 소프트웨어 개발 (Development of Control and Analysis Software for Electronic Warfare Test System Using Reverse Engineering of Network Protocol)

  • In this paper, we have proposed a method and procedure which can find out the unknown network protocol. Although it seems to be difficult to identify the protocol, we can find out the rule in the packet according to the method we have proposed. We have to recognize functions of the system and make the list of events first. Then we capture the network packet whenever the event are occurred. The captured packets are examined by means of the method that is finding repeated parts, changed parts according to the input value, fixed parts and changed parts according to regular rules. Finally we make the test program to verify the protocol. We applied this method and procedure to upgrade Electronic Warfare Test System which is operated by ADD. We have briefly described the redesign of control and analysis software for Electronic Warfare Test System

  • 본 논문은 ATSC 지상파 디지털 TV수신을 위한 효율적인 NIM Interface 구현에 관한 것을 제안하고자 한다. ATSC 규격에 만족하는 NIM Module의 최적화로 다른 정보가전들의 소형화를 가져오며 튜너와 복조IC 와의 RF 인터페이스 기술의 문제점을 해결해 준다. OrCAD Tool을 사용하여 NIM Interface를 해결하였으며, 그 결과를 나타내었다.

  • This paper describes the broadband SDC (Single-ended to Differential Converter) for Digital Video Broadcasting-Satellite $2^{nd}$ edition (DVB-S2) receiver tuner IC. It is fabricated by using $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS process. In order to obtain high linearity and low phase mismatch, the broadband SDC (Single-ended to Differential Converter) is designed with current mirror structure and cross-coupled capacitor and current source binding differential structure at VDD. The simulation result of SDC shows IIP3 of 11.9 dBm and IIP2 of 38 dBm. It consumes 5mA current with 2.7V supply voltage.
