Correction Method for Korean Dependency Parsing using Projectivity and Re-searching (투사성과 재탐색을 이용한 결정적 한국어 의존구조 분석의 보정기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a modified deterministic Korean dependency parser using a projectivity. The modified parser is improved by finding errors, such as cross dependency, from the original parsing results and correcting them according to the projectivity and head-final principles. Our parser also uses parsing history information in addition to rich features, which only a deterministic algorithm can use. Results on the modified parser for ETRI(2005) corpus, that consists of complex sentences, show that our parser outperforms other parsers.

Hough Transform Based Projecton Method for Target Tracking in Image Suquences (투사 및 허프 변환 방식에 의한 연속 영상상의 비행체 궤적 추적)

  • This paper contains a Hough transform based projection method derived from Radon transform for tracking dim unresolved(sub-pixel) moving targets that move along straight line parths across a time sequential image data. In contrast to several recently presented Hough transform methods using a compressed image referred to as the track map our proposed technique utilizing a set of projections taken along arbitrary orientations effectively increases the changes of target detection, and creates a robust track estimation environment by incorporating all the available knowledge obtained from the projections. Moreover, in order to quantitatively assess the estimation capability of the projection-based Hough transform algorithm, the analytical bounds on the Hough space parameter errors introduced by image space noise contamination are derived. The simulation yielded promising results of estimating the track parameters even under low signal to noise rations when our technique was tested against the time sequential sets of real infrared image data referred to as the HiCamps.

Kinematic Characteristics of the Thrower's COM and the Shot in Shot Put : The Woman Record Holder of Korea (포환던지기 동작 시 포환과 신체 무게중심의 운동학적 특성 : 한국 여자 기록보유자를 대상으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the kinematic characteristics of the thrower's center of mass (COM) and the shot that her performance hits record high for the 29th National Athletic Competition. Two S-VHS video cameras were used to visualize. The Direct Linear Transformation technique was employed to paint a clear picture in the three dimensional coordination. Kwon3D was used to analyze the data. The results showed that release velocity and height were 13.73 m/s and 198.6 cm(119% by height ratio), respectively, which is considered as peak performance comparing an extensive review of previous literature on the shot put. Release angle was $34^{\circ}$, which is lower than the previous studies. The path of thrower's center of mass is needed to travel in a release direction during the flight phase. The vertical movement of the thrower's center of mass during the driving should be controlled. At release, the perfact timing is required without vertical and horizontal movements of the thrower's center of mass.

  • Visualizing a volume dataset with ray-casting which of visualization methods provides high quality image. However it spends too much time for rendering because the size of volume data are huge. Recently, various researches have been proposed to accelerate GPU-based volume rendering to solve these problems. In this paper, we propose an efficient GPU-based empty space skipping to accelerate volume ray-casting using octree traversal. This method creates min-max octree and searches empty space using vertex splitting. It minimizes the bounding polyhedron by eliminating empty space found in the octree traveral step. The rendering results of our method are identical to those of previous GPU-based volume ray-casting, with the advantage of faster run-time because of using minimized bounding polyhedron.

Musical Actor's Projection Pattern and Treatment System (뮤지컬 배우의 배역 투사 양태와 치유 시스템)

  • This study was performed to explore the institutional treatment system by analyzing the pattern of musical actor's projection and aftereffect subsequent to the completion of performance. In-depth interviews were conducted with 22 top-class musical actors and actresses of the Republic of Korea. The result of the survey indicated that most actors and actresses suffer from projection and it's aftereffect such as depression for more than one month after performance, and that they tend to rely on self-healing based on self-diagnosis rather than seeking for professional counselling. The symptoms of projection were shown more strongly when the actors or actresses were taking on the role of main character, or acting as a negative or realistic character, or when expressing strong and extreme emotions. In this era of Korean culture, the result of this study implies that our country have to establish the actor's mental caring-related new law and private care centers supported enough funds to encourage the actors to receive more effective actor-friendly treatment service before and after the performance.

Fast Implementations of Projector-Backprojector Pairs for Iterative Tomographic Reconstruction (반복법을 사용한 단층영상 재구성을 위한 투사기 및 역투사기의 고속 구현)

  • Iterative reconstruction methods have played a prominent role in emission computed tomography due to their remarkable advantages over the conventional filtered backprojection method. However, since iterative reconstructions typically are comprised of repeatedly projecting and backprojecting the data, the computational load required for reconstructing an image depends highly on the performance of the projector-backprojector pair used in the algorithm. In this work we compare quantitative performance of representative methods for implementing projector-backprojector pairs. To reduce the overall cost for the projection-backprojection operations for each method, we investigate how previously computed results can be reused so that the number of redundant calculations can be minimized. Our experimental results demonstrate that the ray tracing method not only outperforms other methods in computation time, but also provides improved reconstructions with good accuracy.

An Enhanced Affine Projection Sign Algorithm in Impulsive Noise Environment (충격성 잡음 환경에서 개선된 인접 투사 부호 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we propose a new affine projection sign algorithm (APSA) to improve the convergence speed of the conventional APSA which has been proposed to enable the affine projection algorithm (APA) to operate robustly in impulsive noise environment. The conventional APSA has two advantages; it operates robustly against impulsive noise and does not need calculation for the inverse matrix. The proposed algorithm also has the conventional algorithm's advantages and furthermore, better convergence speed than the conventional algorithm. In the conventional algorithm, each input signal is normalized by $l_2$-norm of all input signals, but the proposed algorithm uses input signals normalized by their corresponding $l_2$-norm. We carried out a performance comparison of the proposed algorithm with the conventional algorithm using a system identification model. It is shown that the proposed algorithm has the faster convergence speed than the conventional algorithm.

Forward Projection Using Fuzzy Logic in Axisymmetric Finite Element Simulation for Cold Forging (축대칭 냉간단조의 유한요소해석에서 퍼지로직을 이용한 전방투사법)

  • In the present paper forward projection is proposed as a new approach to determine the preform shape in rib-web type forging. In the forward projection technique an optimal billet is determined by applying some mathematical relationship between geometrical trials in the initial billet shape and the final products. In forward projection a volume difference between the desired product shape and the final computed shape obtained by the rigid-plastic finite element method is used as a measure of incomplete filling of working material in the die. At first linear inter-/extrapolation is employed to find a proper trial shape for the initial billet and the method is successfully applied to some cases of different aspect ratios of the initial billet. However, when the initial guesses are not sufficiently near the optimal value linear inter-/extrapolation does not render complete die filling. For more general application, a fuzzy system is used in the forward projection technique in order to determine the initial billet shape for rib-web type forging. It has been thus shown that the fuzzy system is more reliable for the preform design in the rib-web type forging process.

  • 일반적으로 전제는 상황에 의해서 취소되지 않는 한, 투사되는 경향이 있다는 것이 관찰되어 왔다. 만족 이론 (satisfaction theory)은 이 경향을 포착하지 못하고. 지시 조응 분석(anaphora analysis)은 이 경향을 설명하려고 했지만 설명이라기 보다는 규정에 가깝다. 본 논문에서는 전제가 정보전달의 한 방법으로서 문장의 다양한 해석을 야기하고, 그 중 정보성이 높은 해석이 선호된다는 주장을 함으로써 이 경향을 설명한다. 이를 위해 어떻게 다양한 해석이 도출되는가를 보여주고, 정보성의 척도를 소개하며, 문장 해석의 정보성을 결정하는 연산자들의 정보성에 관련된 특성을 살핀다. 이로부터 관찰된 전제의 투사 현상을 설명한다. 끝으로 정보성이 높은 해석을 선호하는 것은 경제성과 합리성에 근거한다는 것을 지적한다.

  • 본 연구는 후면투사 방식을 이용한 디지털 입체 광고 장치에 관한 것으로서, 구체적으로 역상조각법 방식(Involved Sculpture)으로 형성되는 스크린 및 상기 개체의 일부 형상의 영상을 투사하는 프로젝터를 이용하였다. 스크린을 입체적으로 형성함으로써 마네킹 전체의 통일감을 주고 위화감을 최소화 할 수 있고, 스크린을 역상 조각법에 의하여 형성함으로써 관람자의 위치에도 불구하고 관람자 자신이 주목받는 것 같은 효과를 줄 수 있다.
