  • 차량 내에서 보내는 시간이 많은 현대인들에게 도로 내 여러 가지 상황 정보를 제공해 줄 수 있는 텔레매틱스 서비스가 점점 각광을 받고 있다. 도로 내 설치되어 있는 차량 검지기와 GPS(Global Positioning System) 기술을 통해 고수준의 교통 정보가 수집되고 있지만, 이를 가공하여 도로상의 운전자들에게 전달하는 방법은 최근 들어 활발하게 연구 중에 있다. 텔레매틱스 서비스 중 가장 중요한 서비스는 운전자가 요청하는 교통 상황 정보를 신속하고 정확하게 전달해 주는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 가까운 과거의 패턴 자료를 이용하여 필터링 범위를 산정한 후, 정상적인 흐름에 반하는 이상 자료들을 실시간으로 제거하여 신뢰성 있는 링크대표속도 값을 제공하는 방법을 제시한다.

An Analysis of Subway Ridership Variations in Seoul metropolitan area (수도권 2기 지하철 개통에 따른 지하철 통행패턴 변화 - 1995-2004년 변화를 중심으로 -)

  • Since the operation of subway line 1 between Seoul and Cheongryangri stations in 1974, the rail length and riderships have been increased during the three decades. Furthermore, it was a remarkable increase of line length between 1995 and 2004 by the operation of Lines 5, 6, 7, and 8 within Seoul metropolitan area. This study reports the variations of riderships by the changing urban spatial structure. According to analysis results by station-to-station origin-destination trip tables, there were increasing ridership changes in new stations within new subcenters, while there were little ridership changes in old stations within Seoul and existing subcenters. The levels of competition between the existing and new lines brought about the difference of ridership changes.

  • Various urban transport policies have an effect on urban transit riderships. This study reports variations of metropolitan subway travel patterns affected by an enormous change in bus routes and transfer discount policy between subway and bus mode conducted by Seoul city in July 1st of 2004. In an effort to see the difference between the before and the after policies, two datasets are prepared. Firstly, on a daily bassis, an origin-destination trip table of May of 2004 is used. Secondly, on a daily bassis, an origin-destination trip table of August-September of 2004 is used as a counter measure. Even if seasonal variation was not considered. there were increasing riderships of about 0.25 million on a daily basis. Subway line 2 and 7 have an important role in changes. The effects or system changes, however. largely varied on location and subway line numbers.

  • There are a number of reported papers about detection and tracking of pedestrian for urban design. While related studies have not dealt with various environmental situations, this paper proposes a pedestrian counting system using pedestrian pattern for overcoming technical limitations. The Pedestrian Algorithm uses four steps to count the number of pedestrians for analyzing the pedestrian pattern according to the characteristics of the foot patterns of pedestrians.

  • 본 논문에서는 교통정보 수집용 영상검지기를 위한 실제 교차로 상황에 잘 맞는 배경영상 생성 방법을 제안한다. 교차로 특성상 진행중인 차량 및 신호 대기중인 차량 등 여러 가지 통행패턴이 있을 수 있는데 차량의 움직임 정보를 추출하기 위해 장면차이 방법을 사용한다. 영상열내 차량의 움직임을 관찰하여 배경영상의 생성 과정에 선택적으로 부분 영역을 반영함으로써 보다 좋은 초기 배경영상을 얻을 수 있다. 기존 방법으로 해결하지 못하는 복잡한 상황하에서의 좋은 초기 배경영상을 생성하므로, 차량으로 탐지되지 않는 영상의 부분영역만을 배경생성 과정에 참여시키는 기존의 배경생성 방법에 이 방법을 사용할 경우, 복잡한 상황에서도 견고하게 차량 탐지를 할 수 있는 배경영상을 생성할 수 있다.

  • 보행자 교통사고는 보행자와 운행 중인 차량 간 발생한 충돌사고로 도로 및 주변 환경 등에 영항을 받는다. 이 연구에서는 2018년부터 2022년까지 서울특별시에서 발생한 노인 보행자 교통사고 자료를 수집하여 보행자 교통사고의 사고 요인을 분석하였다. 분석에 있어서 고려된 연구모형은 랜덤포레스트, Gradient Boosting regression(GBR)이다. 분석 결과 서울특별시의 지리적 특성과 교통 통행 패턴을 반영하여 교통약자를 대상으로 하는 교통정책을 보완하고, 보행 안전을 강화하는 것이 필요하다.

  • This paper describes the procedures developing the algorithm for analyzing signals acquired from the Bridge Weigh-in-Motion (BWIM) system installed in Seohae Bridge as a part of the bridge monitoring system. Through the analysis procedure, information about heavy traffics such as weight, speed, and number of axles are attempted to be extracted from time domain strain data of the BWIM system. One of numerous pattern recognition techniques, artificial neural network (ANN) is employed since it can effectively include dynamic effects, bridge-vehicle interaction, etc. A number of vehicle running experiments with sufficient load cases are executed to acquire training and/or test set of ANN. Extracted traffic information can be utilized for developing quantitative database of loading effect. Also, it can contribute to estimate fatigue lift or current health condition, and design truck can be revised based on the database reflecting recent trend of traffic.

  • This study analyzed the transit services with respect to transit service measures such as the load factor representing number of passengers between stops, dwelling time, and operational speed based on transit smart card data recorded in 2009. A case study on the local bus line 7024 connecting Seoul railway station to evaluate bus services at passenger perspectives was accomplished. From the results, we found that the dwelling time was not affected by the number of passengers which is because the tagging patterns are different among passengers. The operational speed was analyzed by calculating the average speed of the bus route and the speed of each bus stops based on dwelling time. Interestingly, calculating operation speed based on the transit smart card data is the first time effort ever made and this means that it is not necessary to observe travel speed of bus and railway at a field level any more. we hope that this study will be a basis of evaluation of transit services purely based on the transit smart card data and help to make better transit services for passengers and operators as well.

  • A diversity of railway network function enhancement projects such as the double tracking, electrification, and direct operation have been actively executed to improve the railway service. When the new rapid railway is provided, how many people will use it instead of other transports? How will the railway choice behavior be changed? Accordingly, in this paper, the applicability of diverted travel demand forecast method by Stated Preference(SP) and Transfer Price(TP) data was reviewed for Daegu metropolitan railway service. As the result of implementing the Revealed Preference(RP) and RP+SP model, the total travel time and travel cost parameters are of the right sign and are highly significant. In particular, when TP data is used as the complementary investigation of SP, the boundary value of diverted travel demand can be easily identified by railway fare and travel time service level. Therefore, it is considered that this will practically apply even in other regions as well as Daegu metropolitan railway.
