정보의 상호운용성 확보를 위해서 여러 형태로 정의되어 있는 스키마들을 매칭하는 것은 반드시 필요한 작업이다. 워드넷은 영어의 의미 어휘목록으로 유의어 집단과 어휘 목록사이의 다양한 의미관계를 기록하여 자동화된 본문 분석과 인공지능 응용에 활용할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 워드넷을 이용하여 스키마 엘리먼트 이름의 의미 집합을 추출하고 대응하는 엘리먼트 의미 집합과의 유사도를 측정함으로써 스키마 엘리먼트를 매칭하는 시스템을 제안한다. 본 시스템은 다중매칭된 복잡한 관계를 간단한 방법으로 단일매칭화함으로써 사용자가 직관적이고 용이하게 사용할 수 있다. 이를 통하여 데이터 통합, 변환, 분산 검색 등 정보의 상호운용이 필요한 다양한 분야에서 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Data integration is techniques to combine heterogeneous data from different sources, and to allow users to transparently access all data from multiple sources via a single view. The difficulty with data integration is data heterogeneity (i.e. schema heterogeneity, semantic heterogeneity). Richer semantics of data is a major factor in resolving conflicts among heterogeneous data sources. As UML class model represents only schema-based semantics of data, alternative methods such as ontology is useful for representing additional semantics. This paper proposes a method for integrating two data sources with UML class models by using an analysis of their ontologies. In our framework, ontology will be applied to describe semantics of data in each source. Then the ontologies are analysed and compared to determine their similarities and differences. The result of the comparison is used to devise an integrated ontology that will enable querying on the integrated information.

GIS 분야에서 데이터 교환의 표준으로 OGC(Open Geospatial Consortium)에서 GML(Geography Markup Language)이 제안되어 웹 어플리케이션이나 공간 데이터 교환에서 사용이 일반화 되어가고 있다. 또한, 공간 데이터를 효과적으로 수집하여 의사결정을 지원하기 위한 시스템인 공간 데이터 웨어하우스에서도 GML 데이터를 추출하여 소스 데이터로 활용하는 것이 요구되고 있다. 하지만 GML 은 반구조형식(semi-structured)의 데이터 형식을 가진다. 따라서 기존 구조적인 데이터와는 추출하는 방식이 다르므로 GML 의 특징에 맞는 공간 데이터 추출이 수행되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 공간 데이터 웨어하우스에서 GML 기반의 공간 데이터 소스를 추출할 때, 중복되는 공간 객체를 하나의 표현으로 통합하여 효율적으로 적재하는 기법을 제안한다. 이는 GQuery를 이용하여 GML 데이터를 추출한 후, GML 스키마를 메타데이터에서 관리하는 스키마 정보와 비교하여 공간 데이터 웨어하우스에 통합된 공간 데이터를 제공하는 기법이다. 성능평가에서는 기존의 GML 데이터를 추출하는 기법과 제안기법과의 비교를 통하여 제안 기법의 기존 기법에 비해 평균적으로 약 9.95%의 성능향상을 보였다.

In this paper, we propose relevant to design and implementation of an integrated management system for various speech corpora. The purpose of this paper is to manage an integrated management system for various kinds of speech corpora necessary for speech research and speech corpora constructed in different data formats. In addition, ways are considered to allow users to search with effect for speech corpora that meet various conditions which they want, and to allow them to add with ease corpora that are constructed newly. In order to achieve this goal, we design a global schema for an integrated management of new additional information without changing old speech corpora, and construct a web-based integrated management system based on the scheme that can be accessed without any temporal and spatial restrictions. Finally, we describe the web based interface which are the executed results involved in the service and show the efficiency of using the index view for implementation of integrated management system.

다중 데이터베이스 시스템은 분산되어 있고 이질적이며 자치적인 데이터베이스 시스템들의 연합이다. 다중 데이터베이스의 환경에서는 공간적으로 데이터들이 분산되어 있고, 자료의 특성에 따라 서로 다른 데이터 모델에 의해 데이터베이스가 구축되어 있으며, 독자적으로 각각의 데이터베이스 시스템에 의해 관리되고 있다. 이러한 환경하에서는 정보를 효율적이고 종합적으로 관리하고 공유할 필요가 있으며, 이에 따라 사용자 관점의 논리적인 통합이 이루어 질 수 있을 것이다. 이러한 논리적인 통합을 위해 분산된 그리고 자치적이며 이질의 데이터베이스를 통합하기 위한 통합 데이터 모델이 요구되며, 이러한 통합 데이터 모델에 의해 완전하고 일치된 정보 모델이 제공될 것이다. 본 연구에서는 객체-관계형 데이터 모델을 토대로 하여 분산·이질·자치적인 데이터베이스들을 효율적이고 종합적으로 통합하기 위한 효과적인 방안에 대하여 연구하였다.

In this paper, we developed the content management system for managing and integrating contents stored in local databases. This system converts the local database schema to XML document and makes the galobal database schema using the transmitted XML document. The contents integration and management system developed in this paper purposes the effective method for integrating and managing contents which is stored and operated in various environments.

온톨로지 통합을 위해 다양한 기법들이 연구되고 있다. 그러나 기존 통합 기법들은 컨셉 레벨만을 고려하고 인스턴스 레벨까지는 고려하지 않는다. 그로 인해 기존 통합 기법에서는 인스턴스가 중복되거나 인스턴스 간의 관계 해석이 불분명한 문제점이 있다. 이 문제점을 해결하고자 본 논문에서는 XMDR+를 활용한 표준 스키마 기반의 온톨로지 통합 기법을 제안한다. 제안한 통합 기법은 인스턴스 레벨까지 통합하고 관리하므로 인스턴스가 중복되는 문제를 해결하고 인스턴스 간 의미 관계 유효성을 보장한다.

본 논문에서는 기존에 개발된 데이터베이스내의 데이터 소스를 공유하기 위해 통합 라이브러리를 구축하고 이를 통해 데이터베이스내의 소스 데이터에 대한 의미적인 통합을 위한 구조를 제안한다. 데이터의 의미적인 통합을 위해 데이터 스키마가 가지고 있는 실질적인 의미값을 기존의 각 데이터베이스 시스템에서 참조하고 데이터 공유에 대한 동의를 갖도록 메타 데이터를 이용하였다. 따라서 먼저 통합 라이브러리를 구축하여 메타 데이터에 대한 정보와 메타 데이터간에 존재하는 함수적인 관계를 변경 함수로 함께 구현하였으며. 데이터 통합을 위한 참고 자료는 각 시스템마다 온톨로지(Ontology)를 작성하여 활용하였다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법은 기존의 방법에 비해 메타데이터의 수정과 주가가 간단하며 새로운 시스템을 통합 라이브러리로 합병하는 비용이 현저히 감소되었다.

Recently mobile broadcast standards that have IP layer between transport layer and service layer such as DVB-IPDC, OMA-BCAST have been commercialized. Specially, IP abstract layer of OMA-BCAST makes it possible to interface diverse transport layers. Service guide, that is important for user interface, of these mobile broadcast standards has complex structure and heterogeneous schema. ESG schema is not interoperable, therefore terminals should have various implementations of service layer to support more than one service layer at a time. In this paper, not only for enabling interoperability of DVB-IPDC and OMA-BCAST but for supporting basic scenarios of mobile broadcast, simple ESG schema was developed. This new schema can be used as an independent ESG schema, especially for the integrated mobile broadcast middleware environment.

B2B registries provide spaces to register and retrieve information which is necessary to support B2B transactions among business partners or potential business partners. Business process specifications are one of important contents in B2B registries, and there is high complexity of representation due to complex and dynamic characteristics of business processes. Also, currently there exist several competing specification frameworks such as ebXML BPSS, WSBPEL, BPMN, and so on. This paper proposes a metadata schema to register business process specifications which are represented by different specification frameworks. The proposed schema has extensibility to register business process specifications which are represented by various different specification frameworks. Also, it extends reuse level from whole business specification processes to their components. To show the usefulness of the proposed schema, this paper demonstrates metadata extraction from business process specifications which are represented by two representative XML-based business process specification languages, ebXML BPSS and WSBPEL.
