Support on Ideograph Characters Search of Unicode Based Information System (정보 시스템의 유니코드 기반 한자 검색 지원)

  • Unicode Han ideograph character set differed from the our principle of the phonetic value ordering in that it followed the principle of KangXi radical-stroke ordering of the characters. Therefore, information system should support ideograph search on precise analysis of materials which consist of korean character (hangul) and ideograph character (hanja). History Information system has been maintaining Hanja(Chinese Character) to Hangul Dictionary, Terminology Dictionary for composition, borrowing, non-ideographic principles, Variant Forms Dictionary, and Recently discovered Chinese Characters List.

Consideration of CJK Joint Hanja Unicode when is used in AMI/HDB-3 Line Coding (AMI/HDB-3 회선부호화와 한·중·일 한자 유니코드 체계 고찰)

  • This paper analyses the violation rate of CJK joint Chines character Unicode to the source code rule. In the paper, Chinese character 150ea in Chinese Unicode which have relatively a higher frequency in use of a character was chosen to study. The frequency rate in use of the 150ea characters is about 50% of the total frequency rate of the Chinese characters. The study was applied the AMI/HDB-3 line coding/scrambling and HDLC protocol, According to the analyses, the number of violated characters were 77ea of 150 ea, frequency rate in use 29%. Therefore, when the violated 77ea characters are replaced to the matched character codes to the source coding rule, the processing rate of the line coder can be improved about 37%.

  • This thesis is designed to analyze how the search for Chinese ideographs is done in Koreanology-related domestic databases, domestic library databases, domestic academic databases, and overseas library databases, with a view to identifying problems and suggesting solutions to them. The major reasons that impede Chinese ideographs search in Unicode are classified as 'multicode characters', 'simplified characters', and 'variant characters', and three characters are chosen as samples to describe the current practice. Thirteen Koreanology-related databases, five domestic library databases, five domestic academic databases and two overseas library databases are analyzed in terms of Chinese ideographs search. To support search for multicode characters, the open source of the Unicode consortium must be applied. To improve search for simplified and variant characters, a matching table must be standardized and proposed to the Unicode consortium.

  • 기존의 한글-안자 변환에서는 문맥정보와 통계정보를 고려하지 않는 사전기반의 단어단위 변환 방법을 사용한 반면, 본 논문에서는 언어모델 밀 변환모델을 이용한 문장단위의 한자 자동변환 방법을 제안하고. 사전 미등록어와 복합어의 한글-한자 변환을 위하여 단어분할을 변환의 숨김 과정으로 처리하는 통합모델을 사용하였다. 실험 결과, 전문용어의 한글-한자 변환에서 제한된 한자 데이터를 이용하여 기존의 사전기반 변환보다 나은 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

Distance Measures in HMM Clustering for Large-scale On-line Chinese Character Recognition (대용량 온라인 한자 인식을 위한 클러스터링 거리계산 척도)

  • One of the major problems that prevent us from building a good recognition system for large-scale on-line Chinese character recognition using HMMs is increasing recognition time. In this paper, we propose a clustering method to solve recognition speed problem and an efficient distance measure between HMMs. From the experiments, we got about twice the recognition speed and 95.37% 10-candidate recognition accuracy, which is only 0.9% decrease, for 20,902 Chinese characters defined in Unicode CJK unified ideographs.

  • In this paper, a new stroke extraction method of Chinese character base on the human optical field(the Receptive Field of Cell) is proposed. In processing the feature extraction of the chinese character, needed are more perfect extraction methods for separated informations and its data base. This method can be applied to processing neural cell using conventional feature extraction mechanism in the optical boundary of retina and cerebrum. With this method, its applicability and effectiveness were demonstrated extracting strokes from Chinese character.

A Study on a Method of Selecting Variant Groups to be Reviewed for LGR (Label Generation Rule) of Internet Top-Level Hanja Domain (인터넷 최상위 한자 도메인의 국제 생성 규칙(LGR)을 위한 검토 대상 이체자 묶음 선정 방안 연구)

  • This paper discusses a method of selecting variant groups to be reviewed for LGR (Label Generation Rule) of Internet Top-Level Hanja Domain. The most difficult problem in setting up LGR of Internet Top-Level Hanja Domain is how to treat Hanja variants. If domains containing variants (e.g.: 東海國) are directed to different addresses, confusion will arise. Therefore, it is desirable that such domains are directed to the same address. Since variant groups of Korea and China are not same, we need to unify variant groups of Korea and China. In the process of reviewing 3093 Chinese variant groups, the author found that Korea does not need to review Chinese variant groups which include no or just one Korean Hanja character. Korea only need to review Chinese variant groups which include two or more Korean Hanja characters. By doing so, the author could reduce the number of Chinese variant groups to be reviewed by Korea from 3093 to 303, which is only one-tenth of the original number of Chinese variant groups. After Korea finishes reviewing 303 Chinese variant groups selected according to the method suggested in this paper, the job of setting up LGR of Internet Top-Level Hanja domain will be accelerated by negotiating with China.

A Study on Characteristics of Actual State of School Mathematics Terms in North Korea (북한의 학교수학 용어의 현상적 특징에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, some characteristics of actual state of school mathematics terms in north Korean mathematics textbooks, which were issued in 2000-2002, are discussed. In north Korea, terms are expressed in north Korean orthography. Many Chinese style terms are translated into pure Korean terms, but there are still so many Chinese style terms. It is known that there is deep gap between north and south Korean terms. But actually it is not. This means that integration of north and south Korean terms can be easily realized. It is known that translating Chinese style terms into pure Korean term can be useful in mathematics teaching and learning, but north Korean experiences tell that we should act with prudence in doing so. We need sufficient discussion in case of north Korean terms which are totally different with south Korean terms. Semantical analysis is needed with preference survey.

  • In the past, delivering knowledge mainly, education focused on the development of left brain. However, as the importance of right brain is widely accepted, various approaches on education in creativity have been tried. With the advance in the research on the brain, it has been known that the left brain and the right brain are closely linked to work effectively while they are specialized to some functionalities differently. We developed an educational content exploiting Chinese characters to facilitate the balanced development of both brain. Making categorizations from Yin-yang and five elements of the universe, it consists of four stages. The first stage is to stimulate the brain with visual scandal. The second one, third one, and the fourth one are to develop the right brain, left brain, and both brain respectively. Through expert interview, the potential of the developed content as an efficacious method for brain development was verified.

  • ''고''마크 제품이 고효율에너지기자재로 통합됨에 따라 그에 따른 지원제도가 개정됐다. 한전은 고효율 조명기기 보급사업 내용중 기존 고마크 기술규격 인정승인 기준을 고효율에너지기자재 기술규격에 적합한 제품으로 개정하고, 절전용량 총합이 6kW이상 설치 또는 교체한자에게 지급하던 것도 4kW 이상으로 낮췄다. 단, 학교나 군부대 등은 전기사용계약단위별 절전용량이 4kW 미만이라도 각 교육청이나 군부대에서 관내학교와 군부대를 일괄하여 단위공사건의 절전용량총합이 4kW이상일 경우에는 지원금을 지급한다. 개당 지급단가는 형광등용 안정기 1등용 2,800원, 2등용 4,210원, 안정기내장형 램프 2,050원이며, 신청 지원금 지급은 8월 1일부터 시행된다.
