As shown in Wikipedia, tagging or cross-linking through major key-words improves the readability of documents. Recently, the Semantic Web rises the importance of social tagging as a key feature of the Web 2.0 and Tag Cloud has emerged as its crucial phenotype. In this paper we provides an efficient method of automated keyword tagging based on controlled term collection, where the computational complexity of O(mN) - if pattern matching algorithm is used - can be reduced to O(mlogN) - if Information Retrieval is adopted - while m is the length of target document and N is the total number of candidate terms to be tagged. The result shows that IR-based tagging speeds up 5.6 times compared with fast pattern matching algorithm.

This study aims to develop metadata elements and vocabularies of 'Chosunsibo' issued in Korea during the Japanese colonial era. Despite the vast amount and historical values, newspaper articles in Chosunsibo are still unsearchable and difficult to access. To the end, this study includes as follows: (1) analyzed the DB construction and metadata elements of newspapers issued in Korea during the Japanese colonial, (2) investigated the morphological characteristics and content of 'Chosunsibo', and (3) derived metadata elements, encoding schemes and controlled vocabularies for 'Chosunsibo'. The final draft was verified in three methods: (1) review and revise through data input tests, (2) consulting by a DB expert agency, and (3) drawing up of crosswalks with metadata standards and related cases. The scope of this study is to design the metadata schema of the historical newspaper 'Chosunsibo' and develop a data input system based on that schema.

The purpose of this pilot study is to construct a searching thesaurus with word association test in the library and information science field and to confirm it's functionality as searching aids through query expansion experiments. The test results were analyzed to four types of relationship between stimulus words and response words, and the terms of association thesaurus were compared with descriptors of an existing thesaurus. The test results show that the word association test is a fruitful method to identify many related terms and narrower and equivalent terms in some degree to the stimulus terms. Furthermore. in the query expansion experiment. the Performance of association thesaurus was better than that of an existing thesaurus, This result demonstrates that word association thesaurus can apply to query expansion.

This study is to develop knowledge base system for query extension to the user oriented information retrieval. This study has survey the theories of the concept-based information retrieval method and statistic based information retrieval method. In the construction method of knowledge base, the common hypothesis is that the emergence of related term is the frequency of simultaneous emergence of a set of documents. Using the subject index file algorithms and the 'and' operator of boolean logic based on this hypothesis, this study builds the knowledge base. In this research experiment, a subject of knowledge base is education. Using the book of the Introduction to Education, two experimental knowledge base systems is constructed by the different indexing method. One system has constructed by controlled language indexing method, and another system has constructed by natural language indexing method. The performance of two knowledge base system is evaluated.

This study concerns information quality of the database which has been produced in the ASKERIC database. The measures used in this study were accuracy of the records. consistency, completeness and currency. Accuracy was measurred in terms of the keywords used in different ways in the US and Britain and the spelling errors in the records. Consistency was measured in terms of 'see also' and 'see reference' mechanism and character capitalization. Completeness was measured as follows： completeness of the search fields in the record and relevance of search fields. Currency was measured using the publication date. The experimental result showed that ERIC databases had some errors in terms of accuracy. consistency. completeness and currency. However, continuous striving for the automatic error checking functions and the policy of feedback from users have contributed to the improvement of the quality in ERIC databases.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the ability to maintain dynamic posturography(EquiTest) in gymnastic, freestyle skier, and figure skater. A total of 32 subjects(22 athletic woman and 10 collegiate woman) were participated in this study. Computerized dynamic posturography(EquiTest) was adopted to test sensory organization and motor control. EquiTest facilitated the quantification of the role of somatosensory, visual and vestibular systems in the maintenance of postural balance and was also pertinent to measure the reaction time to the stimulus to change center of gravity on force platform. As a result were as follow. There was not difference among with exercise group. But there was a significantly difference with between groups. It was suggested that the acrobatic and physical activity developed the function of visual system and the role of the combination of visual and vestibular system in maintaining postural balance to surrounding stimulus, and presented shorter reaction time in automatic postural response.

Inquiring earth science phenomena is characterized by the followings: a big scale of time and space, inaccessibility, uncontrollability, and complexity. Thus, it is very difficult or, in some cases, impossible to investigate them through the actual manipulation in laboratories. Therefore, it is necessary to provide chance for students to experience scientific inquiry without actual manipulation in earth science classes. This study is to explore the role of reasoning based on a thought experiment as a representative model without actual manipulation, and to investigate features of various inquiry models using reasoning in classes. We can make implications when applying for applying each inquiry model to earth science classes, proposing a reasoning-based inquiry model embedded in earth scientific phenomena.

본 연구에서는 PubMed에 등재되었으나 Medical Subject Headings(MeSH)가 부여되지 않은 국내 의학학술지의 문헌을 대상으로 미국국립의학도서관 (NLM: National Library of Medicine)의 Medical Text Indexer(MTI)를 활용하여 MeSH 용어를 추천받은 후, PubMed 레코드의 유사주제문헌 (Relation Citations, PRC)에 부여된 MeSH와의 일치여부를 분석하였다. 또한 논문의 저자가 부여한 키워드(저자키워드)와 PRC MeSH의 일치여부도 비교하였다. PRC MeSH와 MTI MeSH 추천어의 일치율은 주표목이 21.1%였고, 체크태그는 18.1%, 부표목은 16.5%로 나타났다. 우리나라 의학논문에 나타난 저자키워드의 중요한 특징은 MeSH 주표목 위주이고, 체크태그와 부표목은 거의 사용하지 않는 것이다. 따라서 저자키워드와 PRC MeSH 주표목과의 일치율은 23.4%에 이르지만, 체크태그와 부표목의 일치율은 각각 1%, 2.1%였다. 색인전문가가 통제어휘를 사용하여 색인하는 과정에서 PRC와 MTI의 MeSH 주표목과 저자키워드가 일치하는 용어를 주표목으로 부여하고, PRC와 MTI가 추천하는 체크태그와 부표목을 활용하는 등 국내 의학문헌의 MeSH 용어 부여 작업을 반자동화(semi-indexing)하면, 정확하고 신속한 MeSH 부여 작업이 가능할 것이다.

This study aims to understand the phenomenon related to private schools and present the implication for policy about private school, network text analysis about newspaper editorials in conservative and progressive media was conducted. The main results are as follows. First, in newspaper editorials, there were many issues about private university and there was a distinction between private elementary secondary school and private university. Second, in newspaper editorials, 'encouraging perspective' such as financial assistance and new private school like self-governing private high school and 'controlling perspective' such as withdrawal of problem private schools were both appeared. As a result, this study presents that the perspective for private schools needs to be re-established by 'accountability' as the educational institution and 'school capacity building' away from the past frame.

해외 글로벌 쇼핑 사이트들을 통한 직접 구매를 일컫는 해외직구 금액이 2013년 5881억원 발생하며, 대한민국 전체 경제의 0.2%를 차지하게 되었다. 구입지역도 미국 뿐만 아니라 중국, 독일로 점차 확대되고 있다. 해외직구의 시장은 향후에도 지속적으로 증가 될 것으로 예측되는데, 이처럼 해외직구가 발전하게 된 성장 배경에는 내수시장보다 저렴한 가격, 해외 온라인 쇼핑 사이트들의 진화, 전문 배송업체의 등장, 커뮤니티 정보 공유 활성화 등으로 인하여 해외직구에 대한 폭발적인 반응으로 연결된 것으로 보인다. 하지만 최근에 정치권의 움직임은 해외직구를 규제하여 통제하려는 움직임이 크다. 제 물품을 확인하지 않고 목록 신고만으로 수입통관이 허용되어 허위 신고 가능성이 높아졌다는 것과 이에 따른 관세 탈루 및 마약을 비롯한 수입금지 물품의 국내 반입 위험성 또한 증가한다고 정부는 말하고 있다. 이것은 매우 잘못된 해석으로 판단된다. 소비자들의 소득 발생으로 인한 소비 할 수 있는 절대치는 감소하고 있는데도 불구하고, 국내 대기업들의 상품 판매 하락이 합리적인 가격으로 판매하고 있는 해외 사이트들로 피해자가 된듯한 표현을 하여, 해외 제품을 구매하려는 소비자를 규제한다는 것은 어불성설에 해당된다. 소비자들은 항상 합리적인 선택을 추구하려고 하기 때문에 여러 가지 요소들을 고려한다. 이러한 소비자들의 심리를 파악하여 국내 소비자들이 불만을 가지고 있는 내수시장의 가격 부분에 대한 심리적 회유책을 적용하여 가격 경쟁력에 대한 인식을 새롭게 고려 할 수 있도록 하는 개선안을 제시해 본다.
