This study aims to propose guideline for uniform title of legal works. To achieve this objective, this study (1) reviewed the uniform title and authority access points of legal works targeting RDA, NCR, KCR2 and KCR5, (2) analyzed the actual application methods by investigating the guideline and bibliographic data for uniform title for legal works targeting LC, DNB, and university libraries, (3) examined the scope of application of uniform title in the bibliographic data of the National Library of Korea and suggested points to consider when developing guidelines for uniform title. Based on this, (4) a draft guideline for creating uniform title for legal works was formulated. The draft was revised after review by a librarian and consultation with experts, and then the final draft was proposed. The data were obtained through literature reviews and case studies, and additional data were obtained through e-mail interviews and expert advice.

This study is to present a draft for the formulation of uniform title for sound recordings of the Korean traditional music. The draft as the results of this study is summarized as follows: In a musical work of a type of non-composition, the popular name is put into square brackets as a uniform title of court music and folk music in the old Korean traditional music, and the composer's original title is put into square brackets as a uniform title of the new Korean traditional music, but the medium of performance and others are omitted except an identifying element. However, for the formulation of uniform title of a type of composition in an instrumental music, the descriptive form consisted of the order of 'name of one type of composition, medium of performance, serial number, opus number, key, and a descriptive word or phrase' is put into square brackets as a uniform title and the identifying elements. And in the vocal music of the old Korean traditional music, the following medium of performance is used: in vocal choruses, a type of voices; in solo voices, a type of solo voice by sex, but one of the new Korean traditional music follows the descriptive form of the western classical music.

This study analyzed guidelines and instructions for access points representing works and expressions in RDA. The preferred title for the work is used as the basis for constructing an authorized access point to represent a work or expression. If applicable, the authorized access point is constructed by combining the preferred title for the work to the authorized access point for the identity with principal responsibility for the work. The variant titles for the work are used as the basis for constructing variant access points to represent a work or expression. If the authorized access point is constructed by combining the preferred title for the work to the authorized access point for the identity responsible for the work, the variant access points are constructed by combining the variant titles for the work to the authorized access point, and by using only the preferred title for the work. Besides, RDA provides instructions to construct the controlled access points for special works like musical works, laws, religious works and others, but the general principles for these works are same as the above instructions. The authorized access points for works and expressions in RDA are almost same as the main entry headings in AACR2.

FRBR, as is new conceptual model of bibliography based on entity-relation model, direct to revision of AACR 3.JSC has progressed work to adopt FRBR conceptual model into cataloging rule, especially for solving the problem of expression level, propose to overall change of uniform title & GMD. This study considers the matters about expression level of FRBR model. And examine possibility of adoption FRBR model to domestic cataloging rule and making out practice.

This study aims to explore preferred title and authorized access points for religious works with sample bibliographic data and authority data. To this end, this study (1) reviewed RDA and recently revised KCR as cataloging rules, (2) investigated the preferred titles and authorized access points of religious works in major national libraries as a case study, and finally (3) suggested a method for constructing preferred titles and authorized access points for religious works in Korean libraries using sample data. The data needed for the study were collected through literature research and case studies, and additional email inquiry with the catalog librarians was conducted. As a result of the study, preferred titles and authorized access points for religious works were proposed in the form of KORMARC bibliographic and authority data.

This paper provides a brief overview of bibliographic relationships, a analysis of bibliographic relationships' characteristics of 2,940 bibliographic records on the Five Classics and Four Books taken from Korean National Bibliography, and a methodology for applying the FRBR model based on analysis of the samples. As results of analysis, the work type ranked high particularly in the commentary, translation with notes, and translation on the original works etc. I suggested adopting conception of supper works, that is, family of works and using uniform title as a connective device between the works, that is, an authorized access point of RDA to apply FRBR model of the Five Classics and Four Books. Also I exemplified the description of uniform title in 630 field as subject added entry.

본 논문은 남과 북의 언어 정보를 체계적으로 정리하고, 일반인들도 남과 북의 언어 정보의 차이를 쉽게 검색할 수 있도록 '남북한 언어 비교 사전 검색 시스템'을 설계하고 구현한다. '남북한 언어 비교 사전 검색 시스템'은 검색어에 대해서 '표기', '발음', '문법', '의미'의 4가지 항목에서 남북한 언어의 차이점을 알 수 있도록 한다. '남북한 언어 비교 검색 시스템'은 표제어에 의한 단순한 검색 이외에도 '남한에만 있는 것', '북한에만 있는 것', '남북한 공통인 것', '남북한 차이가 있는 것' 등을 비교하여 검색할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한, 표제어에 대해서 '완전 일치'와 '부분 일치' 검색을 제공하였고 의미 항목에 대해서는 내용 검색이 가능하도록 하였다. '남북한 언어 비교 사전 검색 시스템'은, 장차 통일이 되었을 때에 남과 북의 언어 생활의 차이로 인한 혼란을 미연에 방지하고 통일된 언어 생활을 할 수 있도록 하는데 기여할 수 있다.

The revision of the Korean Cataloging Rules (KCR) is in progress in order to conform IFLA LRM conceptual model and to strengthen its internal stability. Religious works, along with musical works and legal works, have been treated as special and important in cataloging rules. This trend continues in the new cataloging rules that seek a bibliographic model that interconnects related materials. However since KCR2(1966), there are no rules for access points or specific rules on religious works. Under the circumstances, this study analyzed (1) the contents of religious works in the recently revised cataloging rules, (2) the access points and their functions for religious works implemented in online catalogs and authority system, and finally (3) the direction and scope of KCR revision. As a result of the study, this study suggested that it is necessary to prepare detailed rules for preferred title and authorized access points for various religious works in KCR. In conclusion, some issues for further discussion were summarized.

현행 약관은 '89년도 약관제정이후 수십 차례 부분개정만이 이루어져 문맥정비, 고객이 이해하기 쉽도록 용어순화, 의미 명확화, 약관의 불공정성 및 불합리한 규정을 개선할 필요가 있는바, 민법, 약관 규제법 등 관련 법률에 기초한 공정하고, 고객과의 권리의무관계 및 법률관계가 명확한 약관을 만들고자, 용어와 표현을 통일 및 변경하였으며, 장 절 및 조문 표제의 변경, 조문과 약관의 체계화 및 전기실무의 반영과 개선을 하였다. 그리고 개정사항중 쟁점사항에 대한 검토를 심도 있게 하였으며, 약관을 주제별로 구분 통합 및 체계화를 하였다. 이는 향후 전기공급약관의 개정 기초 자료로 활용할 예정이다.

This study makes some suggestions to cluster works from the search result of library databases. Specifically, the author suggests modifying the current practices and rules of KORMARC 24X field based on intent of RDA, which is the new cataloging standard. After identifying some problems in entering bibliographic data into 24X field, the author proposes solutions to such problems. The solutions include improvements in (1) Goanje description (관제기술), (2) use of uniform title, and (3) processing of marks, etc. The study demonstrates that users can conduct a fronted keyword searching effectively and identify the relevant bibliographic records easily from the clustered search results.
