Development of a Force Measurement and Communication System for the Force Measuring System in Industrial Robots (산업용 로봇의 힘측정 시스템을 위한 힘측정 및 통신장치 개발)

  • This paper describes the design of a force measurement and communication system for the force measuring system in industrial robots. The force measurement and communication system is composed of a multi-axis force sensor and a controller for measuring the forces (x-direction force, y-direction force and z-direction force) and sending the measured forces to the robot's controller (PLC: Programmable Logic Controller). In this paper, the force measurement and communication system was designed and fabricated by using a DSP (Digital Signal Processor). An environment test and a grinding and deburring test using an industrial robot with the force measurement and communication system with three-axis force sensor were carried out to characterize the system. The tests showed that the system could safely measure the forces from the three-axis force sensor and send the measured forces to the industrial robot's controller while the grinding and deburring test was performed. Thus, it is thought that the fabricated force measurement and communication system could be used for controlling the force for an industrial robot's grinding and deburring.

  • This paper concerns the design of a matching module system enabling the RF signal to be harmonized between the new base stations (RRH) and the repeater in the same frequency band of the asynchronous transfer network. This matching system controls the RF Gain Control of the module while monitoring the quality of the quality. Additionally, the RF environment has been adapted accordingly to adjust the RF Gain Control to match the receiver characteristics of the relay. As a result of this study, we improved the quality of the interface between the new base stations and existing relays.

  • RFID/USN 은 유비쿼터스 사회의 중요한 기반 인프라로서 고려되고 있다. 또한 다양한 연구를 통해 실용적인 접목이 시도 되고 있다. 특히 물류 시스템에서 물류의 입출 재고와 상태 관리를 위한 연구가 진행 중에 있으며 이는 물품 보관 단위인 파렛트(Pallet) 에 RFID 태그를 부착하여 입/출고시의 물품을 식별하고, Zigbee 무선 통신기능을 가진 센서 모듈에 의해 물품의 환경 상태 정보를 파악하는 형태로 이루어진다. 본 논문은 RFID/ USN 기반의 창고 상태 관리 시스템에서 상태정보 습득 과정의 보안적용을 위한 시스템을 구성을 주된 목적으로 한다. 부가적으로 상태정보 습득에 사용되는 이동형 단말장치의 기능에 대해서 제안한다. 창고 내에 배치되는 RFID 와 센서노드간의 적용 관계 또한 정의한다. 결과적으로 본 논문은 의사판단의 주체인 현장 관리자에 적절한 제어 정보의 제공과 센서의 동작을 제어하기 위한 RFID tag 보안 접근, 그리고 센서 노드 자체의 생존성 이라는 세 가지 관점의 절충점을 찾기 위한 시도로서 설계하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 전신마비 환자들이 안구 마우스를 사용하여 전등, 선풍기, 창문 제어 및 침대 각도 조절을 할 수 있고, 보호자에게 소변통 알림과 응급메시지 알림을 보낼 수 있는 홈 네트워크 시스템을 설계하고 구현한다. 또한 전신마비 환자들뿐만 아니라 일반 사용자들도 이용할 수 있도록 동일한 기능을 모바일 어플리케이션으로 구현한다. 본 연구의 입력장치인 안구 마우스는 삼성전자 창의개발연구소에서 개발한 eyeCan을 사용하였다. 전체적인 시스템은 Arduino를 사용하여 제어하고, 무선 통신은 Xbee모듈을 사용하여 구현하였다. 기존의 홈 네트워크 시스템은 일반 사용자들만 이용할 수 있지만, 본 연구에서는 루게릭 환자처럼 전신을 움직이지 못하는 환자들에게 최적화된 홈 네트워크 시스템을 구축하여 소외계층의 스마트 기기에 대한 접근성을 높이고, 자립심을 키울 수 있도록 도와준다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

A Study on Design and Analysis of All in one Simulation Service for Screen Shooting and VR Shooting (스크린 사격과 VR 사격이 동시에 가능한 일체형 시뮬레이션 사격 서비스 설계와 해석 연구)

  • 본 논문은 군과 경찰 등에서 수행하는 시뮬레이션 사격 훈련 중 스크린 사격과 VR 사격이 혼합된 복합 훈련 환경에서 사용할 수 있는 일체형 시뮬레이션 사격 서비스에 대해 연구하였다. 이 서비스는 스크린과 HMD에 투사되는 목표물에 대해 사격 훈련이 가능하도록 설계한 서비스로 하나의 가상공간에서 사용할 경우 스크린을 이용한 개인 사격 훈련과 VR을 이용한 팀 사격 훈련이 동시에 가능하다. 일체형 시뮬레이션 총기의 총구에 비가시 적외선 레이저 모듈을 장착하여 스크린 사격이 가능하도록 하고, 총열 상단에 HTC Vive Tracker를 장착하여 VR 사격에서 훈련자의 자세 및 위치를 인식하게 한다. 총열 하단에는 사용자의 행동을 제어하는 손잡이 형태의 인터페이스 모듈을 장착한다. 비가시 적외선 레이저 모듈과 인터페이스 모듈에서 발생한 신호는 일체형 시뮬레이션 총기의 총열에 장착한 무선 통신 모듈에 의해 블루투스 방식으로 통합 제어 장치로 전달되어 처리함으로써 혼합 환경에서 사용이 가능하다. 스크린 사격과 VR 사격이 동시에 가능한 혼합 환경에서 시험한 결과 운용이 가능한 것을 확인하였다. 일체형 시뮬레이션 사격 서비스는 기존 사람 중심의 훈련 서비스에서 자동차 또는 함정 등과 같은 조종 훈련 플랫폼과 연동하여 운용할 수 있는 기술 발전이 필요하다.

Design of Semiconductor-Operated Bidirectional Transformers Driven by Polarities of Alternating Voltage Sources (교류 전압원의 극성에 따라 구동하는 양방향 반도체 변압기의 설계)

  • In this paper, we propose a transformer of alternating voltage source utilizing a semiconductor, operating in bidirectional fashion. Transformer is a device transferring energy by inductive coupling between its winding circuits. Conventional transformer is a device, composed of a primary coil and a secondary coil, transforming an alternating voltage. The system we propose is designed with a single circuit transforming the level of voltage signal in two ways; from the source to the load, and vice versa. For semiconductor switches, the NPN transistor is connected to the alternating voltage source terminal, and emitter terminal is connected to the inductor in the system as an energy storage element. The control signal is applied to the base terminal of the semiconductors. We have shown that the system we propose, by adopting only one circuit, drives an alternating voltage transformer that changes the amplitudes of voltage signal in reciprocal way.

End Edge Cogging Force Minimization according to the Distance between Armatures of Stationary Discontinuous Armature PMLSM with Concentrated Winding (전기자 분산배치 집중권 PMLSM의 전기자 간격에 따른 단부 코깅력 최소화)

  • Currently, The general transportation system arranges the armature on the full length of transportation lines. However, when this method is applied to the long distance transportation system, it causes an increase of material cost and manufacturing time. Thus, in order to resolve this problem, discontinuous arrangement method of the armature has been proposed. However, in the method of using stationary discontinuous armatures, mover can stop in the freewheeling section which is non-installations section when disturbance is generated and the mover can not be moved because armature control is impossible. Thus, the distance determination of armature is very important. Also, when the armature is arranged discontinuously the edge always exists due to the structure. Due to this edge, the cogging force is greatly generated during the entry and ejection of the mover to the armature. This cogging force causes thrust force ripple generating noise, vibration and decline of performance, it must be reduced. Therefore, in this paper, we examined the end edge cogging force generated by the stationary discontinuous armatures through 2-D numerical analysis using finite element method (FEM) and we figured out distance of armature for end edge cogging force minimization.

  • This paper presents a multiple face detector based on a robust pupil detection technique. The pupil detector uses active illumination that exploits the retro-reflectivity property of eyes to facilitate detection. The detection range of this method is appropriate for interactive desktop and kiosk applications. Once the location of the pupil candidates are computed, the candidates are filtered and grouped into pairs that correspond to faces using heuristic rules. To demonstrate the robustness of the face detection technique, a dual mode face tracker was developed, which is initialized with the most salient detected face. Recursive estimators are used to guarantee the stability of the process and combine the measurements from the multi-face detector and a feature correlation tracker. The estimated position of the face is used to control a pan-tilt servo mechanism in real-time, that moves the camera to keep the tracked face always centered in the image.

  • The most important factor in the prevention and treatment of cerebral infarction is to increase cerebral blood flow. Methods for increasing cerebral blood flow include drug-based methods, the surgery, invasive procedures directly inserting medical devices into the artery(NeuroFloTM) and so on. The noninvasive cerebral blood flow increasing device proposed in this paper can reduce the burden on the patient because the probability of complication is low and the treatment level can be determined according to the blood pressure state of the patient. In implementing such a noninvasive cerebral blood flow increasing device, it is important to measure the accurate mean arterial pressure for provision the appropriate level of treatment for the patient. Therefore, to remove a noise, analog and digital filters were used and algorithm for peak value detection, pump control algorithms and so on were.

  • Network is expected to be developed into optical Internet network collected IP layer and optical layer, but GMPLS is risen at the transitional evolution stage because of the present technology level. GMPLS that MPLS is extended and generalized is able to support not only the packet switching device but also the devices which perform switching in time, wavelength, and space domain. To implement the common control plane to these various switching types, GMPLS extends the existing MPLS signaling and routing protocol. In this paper, we describe the overview of GMPLS technology, and then we will refer to the OSPF(Open Shortest Path First), which was used to exchange the status information of link, as the plan of routing extension to exchange the information of various link type, bandwidth, link protection type etc. And also, we describe the definition of new protocol, so called, LMP that is a signaling protocol for solving complex problem which manages hundreds and thousands of links between two nodes. And we will examine and analyze the plan of signaling protocol extension to apply signaling protocol RSVP-TE(Resource Reservation Protocol) for traffic engineering in MPLS to network, and the message objects and formats associated with modified RSVP.
