  • Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) are advanced applications which, without embodying intelligence as such, aim to provide innovative services relating to different modes of transport and traffic management and enable various users to be better informed and make safer, more coordinated, and 'smarter' use of transport networks. However, ITS has the different size and shapes according to the city environment policy to adjust the city scene and it has to be displayed by different message on the information display device in real-time. And the information service providers must make the information display system which has the different information and data each time. That is very time and workers consuming and auto message frame generation system is necessary. In this paper, we design and develop the message frame generation system which can set several parameters easily for the generation of the message frame automatically on the windows environment and we do not need to go the field to get the test data.

Effective Backup and Real-Time Replication Techniques for HSS System in All-IP Mobile Networks (All-IP 이동 통신망에서 HSS 시스템의 효과적인 백업과 실시간 이중화 기법)

  • An HSS(Home Subscriber Server) system requires a main-memory database on main-memory unit for the real-tine management of the subscriber information in the mobile communication service, in that the system controls not only basic data for handling calls of users, but also additional service data related to user authentication and operational data. Nonetheless, HSS-DBS system, requiring the reliability and stability, need more secure data store method and a back-up technique because the system have a long startup time and the big problem on the failures of main-memory. This paper proposes an efficient back-up replication technique, on the basis of enhancing the stability and performance of HSS system. The proposed shadowing back-up technique adopting the delayed recovery process, can help minimize the real-time back-up overloads by location registration, while the proposed backup replication method enables more stable system operations with replicating the data to remote server in real time.

Design of High Efficiency Switching Mode Class E Power Amplifier and Transmitter for 2.45 GHz ISM Band (2.45 GHz ISM대역 고효율 스위칭모드 E급 전력증폭기 및 송신부 설계)

  • A power amplifier of 2.4 GHz ISM band is designed to implement a transmitter system. High efficiency amplifiers can be implemented as class E or class F amplifiers. This study has designed a 20 W high efficiency class E amplifier that has simple circuit structure in order to utilize for the ISM band application. The impedance matching circuit was designed by class E design theory and circuit simulation. The designed amplifier has the output power of 44.2 dBm and the power added efficiency of 69% at 2.45 GHz. In order to apply 30 dBm input power to the designed power amplifier, voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) and driving amplifier have been fabricated for the input feeding circuit. The measurement of the power amplifier shows 43.2 dBm output and 65% power added efficiency. This study can be applied to the design of power amplifiers for various wireless communication systems such as wireless power transfer, radio jamming device and high power transmitter.

  • An autonomous car(driverless car, self-driving car, robotic car) is a vehicle that is capable of sensing its environment and navigating without human input. Autonomous cars can detect surroundings using a variety of techniques such as radar, lidar, GPS, odometry, and computer vision. Advanced control systems interpret sensory information to identify appropriate navigation paths, as well as obstacles and relevant signage. Autonomous cars have control systems that are capable of analyzing sensory data to distinguish between different cars on the road, which is very useful in planning a path to the desired destination. An issue tree, also called a logic tree, is a graphical breakdown of a question that dissects it into its different components vertically and that progresses into details as it reads to the right.Issue trees are useful in problem solving to identify the root causes of a problem as well as to identify its potential solutions. They also provide a reference point to see how each piece fits into the whole picture of a problem. Using Issue-Tree menthods, transportation safety policies were developed with autonompus vehicle in mind.

  • A track circuit has used stably more than 100 years for detecting train position, but solution of track circuit sort circuit incapacity due to a rust is necessary for side line in station yard, coast line and level crossing for conventional line in rural line. Domestically, Axle Counter System(ACS) has partially used for Hot Box System for high speed line and turnout for CBTC system. In contrast, most of countries has used ACS not only trunk line but also rural line and its application has increased for metro, electric car and industrial railway. In this paper, we has verified the operating status of ACS which installed with existing track circuit through log analsis to implement pilot application in mail track and turnout in station yard. And interface test with interlocking system has conducted at Obong shunting yard, as well as Cheongju station and has analyzed test result. Based on a test result, we made fail safe design, manufacturing skill and established system requirement specification for the smooth operation and maintenance.

  • These days, streaming users are using ABR (Adaptive Bitrate) technique services by requesting the most adequate video rate selectively based on their own channel states. Most ABR related video rate adaptation techniques are only focused on real-time bitrate adaptations based on their own channel state, and misses energy limited characteristics that come from a mobile device's battery dependence. In other words, the mobile device's important characteristics and accompanying energy consumption are not being considered and causes dissatisfaction over streaming services. In this paper, we propose energy efficient prefetching based dynamic adaptive video streaming techniques, which saves unnecessary consumed energy while providing video rates of the same performance. Our scheme continuously turns off energy modules with enough streaming in the buffer and turns on in case of the opposite situation to save energy. Through the performance evaluation, this study's proposed scheme is 60% better than the previous work at global average mobile download speed.

  • 휴대용 단말기의 보급과 인터넷 및 무선 네트워크의 발달로 사용자들이 사용하는 개별 장치들이 보편화되어 있으며, 이들을 서로 유기적으로 엮은 서비스가 등장하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 서비스의 한 종류로 U-Kiosk의 개념을 소개한다. U-Kiosk는 Kiosk 단말장치나 공용 PC를 사용자 개인의 PC처럼 사용할 수 있도록 하여 이들의 리소스를 직접 제어할 수 있는 기능을 제공한다. 이것을 실현하기 위한 방안으로 본 논문에서는 공용 PC에서 개인 PC의 바탕화면 설정을 포함해 모든 자원을 직접 사용할 수 있도록 하는 부분을 구현하고 설명을 하였으며, 인증 과정에서 사용자의 개입을 최소한으로 줄이는 방법에 대해서 소개한다. 이를 위하여 초소형 보안 단말기인 PANDA를 사용하였으며, Zigbee 통신을 사용하여 사용자의 위치정보를 파악하여 자동으로 인증을 하도록 하는 Transient Authentication의 개념을 도입하였다. 두 컴퓨터 간의 원격 접속을 위해서는 VNC를 이용하여 구현하였으며, 사용자가 공용 PC로부터 일정 거리 안에 있을 경우, 자동으로 원격 접속이 이루어지고, 공용 PC로부터 멀어질 경우 자동으로 접속이 종료되도록 구현하였다. 이를 기반으로 제안하는 U-Kiosk의 개념에 맞는 테스트 베드를 구축 하였다. 이는 UFC Project$^{2)}$의 일부로서 차후 완벽한 인증 인프라를 구축하여 보다 안정적이고 사용하기 편리한 U-Kiosk의 구현에 초석이 될 것이다.

  • In this paper, with the development of Information technology, application service between IT and traditional industry has been on the rise. And there are many on-going discussions actively regarding the Air quality system based on wireless sensor network which monitor and control the aircraft environment automatically and manually with the application service of detecting harmful gas. In this paper, operation program constitute the administrator monitoring device, which collects data from sensor node of wireless sensor network and sensor node and transmits environment information to display and server. Also for remote monitoring, user operation program constitutes based on PC/smartphone. Under this, the harmful gas which is made in aircraft life is measured. Real time monitoring system based on wireless sensor network is designed and realized.

  • Airframe structure development of the 35 kg class 'Disaster and Public Safety Multicopter' UAV is described in this paper. To reduce the airframe weight, T-700 grade CFRP composite material was used, and the fuselage was designed with the semi-monocoque structure and plate installed with the control and communication devices designed in a sandwich structure. The specimen tests for the laminated plate and pipe were conducted to verify the strength and stiffness of the designed parts. The stacking sequence of composite materials was determined by the static strength and vibration analysis, and landing gear strut was designed by the nonlinear analysis with decent speed and ground clearance requirements. The static strength test was performed to evaluate the structural integrity and to verify the landing gear behavior.

  • In this research, the problem of combustion and its system in Hyundai Heavy Industries and Sachuan Unison will be analyzed in order to provide some methods of thermal efficiency improvement and help to make a positive influence on fuel savings and their productivity. In forging industries, in order to improve the material properties of the industrial heating elements which are being used, depending on different operation conditions of system equipment and combustion systems, fuel consumption and material properties can get a profound influence. Thus, analyzing about combustion system characteristics of 100 tons heating furnace and heat treatment furnace which are in operation in Hyundai Heavy Industry will be done. In usual, air-fuel ratio is proper for capacity of burner installed in each heating device, otherwise burner gets an automatic turn down ratio. It has a profound influence on heating performance and precision of temperature because it is the fixed characteristics of every industrial furnace. Even if there are some methods to improve the heating performance of a furnace installed with a large capacity burner, it is very difficult to obtain the precision of temperature in maintenance interval. Based on this, performance of burner can be drove to best by improving combustion system. Proper Combustion characteristic for each heating interval was analyzed in heating furnace in Hyundai Heavy Industry. A project plan for improving fuel savings and increasing precision of temperature was presented in this research.
