A Tuable Dual-Band Bandpass Filter Design Using Variable Characteristic Transmission Lines (가변 특성 임피던스 전송 선로를 이용한 가변 이중 대역 대역 통과 여파기)

  • In this paper, the application of a variable characteristic impedance transmission line that can be used to design a dual-band bandpass filter(BPF) is presented. The proposed filter offers a fixed first frequency passband and a controllable second passband. The tuning of the second passband is achieved by varying the characteristic impedance of and open shunt stub line in a stub loaded resonator(SLR) with the help of a defected ground structure(DGS) transmission line and varactor diodes. In order to validate the proposed structure, a two stage dual-band BPF with three transmission zeros was implemeted and experimentally verified based on its theoretical predictions and simulations.

Design and Fabrication of Multilayer Diplexer for Dual Band GSM/DCS Applications using Lumped Elements (집중 소자를 이용한 이중 대역 GSM/DCS용 적층형 다이플렉서의 설계 및 제작)

  • In this paper, the modeling and design of high-Q multilayer passives and multilayer diplexer for GSM/DCS applications designed and fabricated using these passives have been investigated.. To miniaturize the system, configurations of inductor and capacitor have involved a square spiral structure and a vertically-interdigitated capacitor similar to 3D interdigital structure, respectively. Multilayer diplexers for GSM/DCS applications were designed and fabricated to apply high-Q multilayer passives to practical systems, which were designed by the proposed structural and equivalent circuit model. LPF for GSM band had the passband insertion loss of less than 0.55 dB, the return loss of more than 12 dB, and the isolation level of more than 26 dB by locating attenuation pole at 1800 MHz. HPF for DCS band had the passband insertion loss of less than 0.82 dB, the return loss of more than 11 dB, and the isolation level of more than 38 dB by locating attenuation pole at 930 MHz.

  • The frequency band $10.5GHz\sim10.7GHz$ provides some of the best angular resolutions using many large and accurate radio telescopes. Developing high performance Bandpass Filter is needed for these equipments to receive low power signals from the space. In this paper, suggests Bandpass Filter for Radio Astronomy equipments. Designed by Microstrip Line for good pass characteristic and suppressing not necessary signals cause of using high frequency. Center frequency is 10.6 GHz and band width is 5% of Center frequency. Manufactured Bandpass Filter is suitable for Radio Astronomy Equipments. Bemuse it matches up to the result by simulate.

  • Although most cases of tension-type headache(TTH) are myogenic headache, in some cases, arthralgia appears, such as the disorder of the temporamandibular joint. This study is designed to compare the clinical patterns of arthralgia to those of myalgia, when both symptoms are co-existing. Among 167 patients who visit our clinic during a certain period, whose chief complaint was TTH, 18 patients were the arthralgia group, 50 patients were the myalgia group, and 99 patients who have both arthralgia and myalgia were the arthromyalgia group. Three groups were asked to answer the questionnaires about their age, gender, and oral parafunction such as bruxism or clenching. Then we gathered statistics on the data from the accomplished questionnaires. 1. There was statistical significance in age among the three groups(p=0.02). 2. There was no statistical significance in sex and oral parafunction among the three groups. 3. There was statistical significance the myalgia group was older than the arthromyalgia group(p<0.03). The results of the study show that as patients become older, TTH with myalgia happens more frequently than TTH with arthralgia and myalgia does.

  • The taxonomic revision of the family Uranoscopidae from Korea was made on the basis of the speciemens collected in the coasts of the Korea from 1986 to 1994. The key to the species and genera for classification of the famiiy Uranoscopidae was provided with synonym and their distributions. The stagazer fishes from Korea are composed of 6 species in 3 genera: Uranoscopus Japonicus, U. bicinctus, U. chinensis, U. tosae, Gnathagnus eolngatus and Ichthyscopus lebeck sannio. The Korean stagazer fishes were widely distributed in the West and South Sea of Korea, but only Ichthyscopus lebeck sannio distributed in the around sea of Cheju Island.

Bandpass Filter Using Folded Substrate Integrated Waveguide Structure (접힌 기판 집적형 도파관 구조를 이용한 대역통과 필터)

  • In this paper, the transition of the folded substrate integrated waveguide (FSIW) using two substrates is suggested and applied to the bandpass filter. The FSIW has similar characteristics with the SIW and can be reduced the width of the SIW. The transition between the FSIW to the microstrip is designed by using shorted quarter wavelength line. Also, the bandpass filter is designed by using the FSIW and the elliptic lowpass filter of 5 section. Fabricated bandpass filter has the center frequency of 5.75 GHz and the bandwidth of 33.2%. Also, the insertion loss and return loss at the center frequency are 0.63dB and 19.1dB, respectively.

Deconvolution Filtering Method for All-pass Systems (전역통과 시스템에 대한 Deconvolution 필터링 기법)

  • In this paper, a deconvolution filtering method for all-pass systems based on FIR approximation is proposed. The proposed method enables us to obtain a causal stable deconvolution filter by FIR approximating a non-causal stable deconvolution filter to a causal stable one. As we can see in this paper, the impulse response of the deconvolution filter for all-pass system is simply the mirror image of the impulse response for all-pass system itself. Due to this symmetric property between all-pass system itself and its deconvolution Inter, this method can be applied to all-pass systems without special limitation of the system's order. In order to verify the performance of the proposed method. computer simulation results for 1st-, 2nd- and 400th-order all-pass systems are included.

Microstrip Bandpass Filter for Spurious Resonant Mode Rejection using Metameterial Transmission Line (메타매질 전송선로를 이용한 불요 공진모드 제거용 마이크로스트립 대역통과 필터)

  • In this paper, microstrip bandpass filter combined DCRLH metameterial-cells with a hairpin resonator is designed and fabricated to be transferred only fundamental passband signal, and removed a spurious resonant mode occurring when filter design using a microstrip transmission line is done. The bandpass filter is composed of CCRLH hairpin resonator and DCRLH interdigit metameterial-cells. The hairpin resonator with CCRLH property is implemented between two DCRLH interdigit metameterial-cells with DCRLH property, which is parallel to input port and output port. The interdigit metameterial-cells suppress spurious harmonics occurring on the higher order frequency and improve a filter performance. Insertion loss of the fabricated microstrip bandpass filter on the passband from 1.91GHz to 2.41GHz is 0.2dB, and attenuation on the stopband from 3GHz to 7.7GHz is bellower than -30dB. Therefore, this filter has a good performance for both mobile communications of WCDMA and wireless internet of WiBro.

Implementation of Diplexer using Heterogeneous Dielectric Multilayer Organic Substrate (이종 유전율의 다층 유기물 기판을 이용한 diplexer 구현)

  • 본 논문에서는 SoP-L(System on Package-Laminates) 기술을 이용하여 이종의 유전율을 가진 유기물 적층 기반의 수동소자를 이용한 GSM/DCS 대역 분리용 diplexer를 설계, 제작하였고 그 특성을 고찰하였다. SoP-L 기술은 LTCC기술과 같은 타 SoP 기술과 비교해서 이종의 물질을 접합하는데 용이하고 공정비용이 저렴하다. 이러한 장점을 이용하여 캐때시터는 유전율 40의 고유전율 재료를 사이에 두고 구성하였고, 인덕터 부문에는 유전율 4률 적용, 정방혈 스파이럴 구조로 두 개 층으로 구성하여 소형화를 이룰 수 있었다. 제작 시에 구리와 유기물을 적층, patterning 하였고, 수직 via hole 을 형성하고 구리의 무전해, 전해 도금 과정을 거쳐 각 소자를 연결하였다. 이러한 과정을 거쳐 제작된 diplexer의 GSM 저역 통과 필터는 0.52 dB이하의 삽입손실과 20 dB 이상의 반사손실을 가지고 DCS 통과 대역 부근에 notch 가 존재하도록 설계함으로써 DCS 통과 대역에서 17 dB 이상의 저지특성을 나타내었다. DCS 고역 통과 필터는 1.2 dB 이하의 삽입손실과 16 dB 이상의 반사손실을 가지며 GSM 통과 대역 부근에 notch를 가지도록 설계하여 GSM 통과대역에서 32 dB 이상의 저지특성을 나타내었다.
