The clinical study of colonic transit time stimulated manual acupuncture and electo-acupuncture(ST25, ST37) (천추(天樞) 및 상거허(上巨虛)의 침자극(針刺棘)이 대장(大腸) 통과시간(通過時間)에 미치는 영향(影響))

  • Amis:ST25(Chonchu) and ST37(Sanggoho) are usually used acupoints to management several disease which induced to abnormal intestinal motility as diarrhea, constipation. Colonic transit time by radio opaque marker is able to study easily and useful method for evaluation of colonic motility. The aim of this study was to assess the effect on colonic transit time by manual acupuncture or electroacupuncture stimulation of ST25, ST37 in normal adult. Method: Colonic transit time, including Rt colon, Lt colon, rectosigmoid colon was measured by radio opaque marker in 11 normal adults. Colon transit time was measured before stimulation and after stimulation on ST25, ST37 by manual acupuncture and electroacupuncture. Each person was treated manual acupuncture or electroacupuncture stimulation for 3 days before colonic transit time measurement with 1 week interval. Result: Colon transit time before stimulation was measured $10.60{\pm}12.11$, $3.92{\pm}7.72$, $3.27{\pm}6.37$, $3.41{\pm}5.57$ hours total colon, Rt colon, Lt colon, rectosigmoid colon, respectively. Colon transit time after manual acupuncture is measured $10.48{\pm}12.35$, $3.72{\pm}7.52$, $3.37{\pm}6.76$, $3.39{\pm}5.84$ hours total colon, Rt colon, Lt colon, rectosigmoid colon, respectively. Colon transit time after electroacupuncture stimulation is measured $10.30{\pm}13.21$, $3.92{\pm}8.02$, $3.07{\pm} $, $3.31{\pm}5.49$ hours total colon, Rt colon, Lt colon, rectosigmoid colon, respectively. Significant change was observed Lt colon transit time after electroacupuncture as compared before acupuncture(P<0.05). Conclusion: Theses results suggest that manual acupuncture and electroacupuncture of ST25, ST37 in normal adults does not change colonic transit time.

Application of Multi-Server Queuing Theory to Estimate Vehicle Travel Times at Freeway Electronic Toll-Collection Systems (고속도로 자동요금징수시스템의 차량 통행시간 산정을 위한 다중서비스 대기행렬이론 연구)

  • This paper presents the investigation results of a research on how engineers can analyze the economic effect of the ETCS(Electronic Toll Collection System) installed to minimize the vehicle delays on freeway tollgates during toll payments. This research considered this economic effect to occur in the form of vehicle passing time reductions at the ETCS, and the multi-service queuing theory was applied to estimate these values. This research found: 1) When vehicles approaching tollgates show Poisson distribution and the service time of the ETCS shows Exponential distribution, the multi-service queuing theory would be applicable for estimating vehicle passing times at toll-gates, 2) Despite the ETCS placement, exit sections of tollgates give a greater reduction of vehicle passing times than entering sections due to more delays at conventional toll payments, and 3)The ETCS would not guarantee vehicle passing time reductions all the time, because in such a case as many vehicles were queuing at the ETCS, the total delay level for a toll gate would increase greatly. In addition, in order to examine the accuracy of the estimated vehicle passing values, this research compared the values from the multi-service queuing theory with the observed values from a set of field survey values at freeway toll-gates, and found that the two values were in a good agreement with a very low error range of 1-3 seconds per vehicle. Based on this result, the multi-service queuing theory was recommended for practice.

  • 본 논문은 딥러닝을 이용하여 대장통과시간(Colon Transit Time, CTT) 검사를 위한 단순복부 X-Ray 영상에서 방사선 비투과성 표지자(Radio-opaque Marker)를 자동으로 검출하는 기법을 제시한다. 대장통과시간 검사는 대장의 운동질환을 평가하는데 있어 가장 기본적인 방법으로 특히 만성 변비증 환자의 병태생리에 따른 유형 분류와 치료 계획을 설정하는데 큰 도움을 주고 있으며, 내과적 또는 외과적 치료 후 평가에도 유용한 검사이다. 대장통과시간 검사는 방사선 비투과성 표지자가 내재되어 있는 캡슐을 복용한 뒤 주기적으로 단순복부 X-Ray 촬영을 통해 구간별로 남아있는 표지자의 수를 세고, 이를 통해 구역별 통과시간을 측정한다. 이 과정에서 판독의가 직접 표지자의 위치 및 개수를 세기 때문에 많은 시간이 필요하게 된다. 따라선 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점을 보완하기 위해 딥러닝 기법을 사용하여 X-Ray 영상 내에서 표지자의 위치를 자동 파악하는 기법을 제시한다.

Acute Cerebral Infarction in a Rabbit Model: Perfusion and Diffusion MR Imaging (가토의 급성 뇌경색에서 관류 및 확산강조 자기공명영상)

  • Purpose : The present study was undertaken to evaluate the usefulness of cerebral diffusion (DWI) and perfusion MR imaging (PWI) in rabbit models with hyperacute cerebral ischemic infarction. Materials and Methods : Experimental cerebral infarction were induced by direct injection of mixture of Histoacryl glue, lipiodol, and tungsten powder into the internal cerebral artery of 6 New-Zealand white rabbits, and they underwent conventional T1 and T2 weighted MR imaging, DWI, and PWI within 1 hour after the occlusion of internal cerebral artery. The PWI scan for each rabbit was obtained at the level of lateral ventricle and 1cm cranial to the basal ganglia. By postprocessing using special imaging software, perfusion images including cerebral blood volume (CBV), cerebral blood flow (CBF), and mean transit time (MTT) maps were obtained. The detection of infarcted lesion were evaluated on both perfusion maps and DWI. MTT difference time were measured in the perfusion defect lesion and symmetric contralateral normal cerebral hemisphere. Results : In all rabbits, there was no abnormal signal intensity on T2WI. But on DWI, abnormal high signal intensity, suggesting cerebral infarction, were detected in all rabbits. PWI (rCBV, CBF and MTT map) also showed perfusion defect in all rabbits. In four rabbits, the calculated square of perfusion defect in MTT map is larger than that of CBF map and in two rabbits, the calculated size of perfusion defect in MTT map and CBF map is same. Any rabbits do not show larger perfusion defect on CBF map than MTT map. In comparison between CBF map and DWI, 3 rabbits show larger square of lesion on CBF map than on DWI. The others shows same square of lesion on both technique. The size of lesion shown in 6 MTT map were larger than DWI. In three cases, the size of lesion shown in CBF map is equal to DWI. But these were smaller than MTT map. The calculated square of lesion in CBF map, equal to that of DWI and smaller than MTT map was three. And in one case, the calculated square of perfusion defect in MTT map was largest, and that of DWI was smallest. Conclusion : DWI and PWI may be useful in diagnosing hyperacute cerebral ischemic infarction and in e-valuating the cerebral hemodynamics in the rabbits.

Radiographic Estimation of Colonic Transit Time with $Kolomark^{TM}$ in Normal Dogs (개에서 콜로마크를 이용한 대장통과시간의 방사선학적 평가)

  • Colonic transit time plays an important role in creating a disease category and treatment plan in patients with chronic constipation or bowel movement problem. The aim of this study is to establish normal colon transit time using Kolomark, a radiopaque marker in dogs. The transit time of Kolomark in colon was measured every 2, 4, 8, 12, 24, 48 hours in 11 healthy Beagle dogs with oral administration of the marker. Kolomark began to appear in colon after 4 hours from administration and the largest number of Kolomark in colon was observed after 12 hours. Then, after 24 hours, some quantity of Kolomark was found but Kolomarks were all eliminated from the colon after 48 hours. The mean emptying time of Kolomark was 28.36 hours. Based on this study, the normal range of colon transit time in dogs was established by using the Kolomark, and it could be used as reference data for objective evaluation of constipation in canine patients.

Effects of the Products of Raw Sea Tangle on Chronic Idiopathic Constipation (생다시마 가공제품의 배변활동 개선 효과)

  • This study was performed to investigate effects of raw sea tangle products on idiopathic constipation. A total of thirty-eight women participated voluntarily in this study. They were placed into one of four groups by their total colonic transit time (TCTT) to make the four groups have the same TCTT. In the first trial, the subjects in Control group were fed 3 times of 150 mL of mineral water per day for 2 weeks, those in +Control group were fed a kind of stool softener as well as the same mineral water for 3 times, those in STT group were fed 3 times of 150 mL of sea tangle tea and those in STB group were fed 3 times of 150 mL of sea tangle beverage. After 6 weeks, a second trial was performed for another 2 weeks. Although the TCTT of the group exposed to of KolomarkTM was not significantly reduced, the subjects in STT group answered that their evacuation activities were significantly improved; evacuation frequency was increased, stool hardness was reduced, evacuation straining was lessened, stool amount was increased, incomplete sense of evacuation was lessened, and major evacuation time was improved like those in +Control group. The results imply that it is worthy to develop some products of raw sea tangle such as STT, which are effective in treating or preventing constipation.

  • In this study, a suitable algorithm for each BRT stop type is presented through the network construction and algorithm design effect analysis through the LISA, a traffic signal program, for the BRT stop type in the BRT Design Guidelines, Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs, 2010.6. It was. The phase insert technique is the most effective method for the stop before passing the intersection, the early green technique for the stop after the intersection, and the extend green technique for the mid-block type stop. The extension green technique is used only because it consists of BRT vehicles, general vehicles and pedestrians. Analyzed. After passing through the intersection, the stop was analyzed as 56.4 seconds for the total crossing time and 29.8 seconds for the delay time. In the mid-block type stop, the total travel time of the intersection was 40.5 seconds, the delay time was 9.6 seconds, the average travel time of up and down BRT was 70.2 seconds, the delay time was 14.0 seconds, and the number of passages was 29.

Dysphagia and Oral Function in Chronic Stoke Patient: 3 Months Follow up Study (만성 뇌졸중 환자의 시간에 따른 삼킴 기능 변화)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine changes in the swallowing function with chronic stroke patient. Ten chronic stroke patients with dysphagia followed up for 3 months. Eight normal age match subjects were also participated. A total of 18 participated in this study and they were classified into two groups (stroke patient group and normal control group). Participants underwent videofluoroscopic swallowing examination. The swallowing function was evaluated over time. Oral transit duration, pharyngeal transit duration, laryngeal response duration, Modified Barium Swallowing Impairment Profile ($MBSImP^{TM(c)}$), and Functional Oral Intake Scale (FOIS) were applied. Chronic stroke patient group were showed significantly longer oral transit duration, pharyngeal transit duration and laryngeal response duration than normal control group at baseline. After 3 months in stroke patient group, the mean oral components score of MBSImP (1~5) significantly decreased and the mean score on FOIS increased compared to baseline. In conclusion, oral swallowing function and oral intake function improved by the 3 month evaluation. These results describe changes in swallowing function with chronic stroke patients over time and provide basic informations to understand dysphagia.

A Study on the Application of PPLT(Protected/Permitted Left-Turn) Considering the Traffic Characteristics of PLT/PPLT (보호좌회전과 보호/비보호 겸용 좌회전 통행특성 차이를 고려한 보호/비보호 겸용 좌회전 적용방안에 관한 연구)

  • The application of PPLT is difficult to analyze and judge only from the effects of the delay time. In this study, the application of PPLT was proposed using not only the delay time of PLT and PPLT due to the change in traffic volume and the number of opposite straight lanes but also the traffic volume of passing a left turn and the number of conflict risks as indicators. According to the analysis, the more left-turn traffic than capacity and the less opposite-straight volume, the greater the PPLT effect. On the other hand, if the left-turn traffic is below capacity, the delay time will be reduced partially, but the overall passing left turn volume will not increase, and the conflict risk will increase. In addition, the conflict risk increases in the third lane or higher. Moreover, the difference of passing left-turn volume between PLT and PPLT showed a pattern similar to the delay time difference, and the PPLT coverage was wider than the difference in delay time and was associated more with the conflict risk numbers. Therefore, it would be reasonable to use passing left-turn traffic primarily, consider the delay time below the left-turn capacity, and consider the conflicting risk numbers simultaneously at or above the opposite straight three lanes.

  • 본 논문에서는 고출력 극초단파(High Power Microwave)가 쏘아지는 대상이 방어장비를 갖추고 있을 때 외부대상이 어떤 영향을 받는지를 규명하는데 목적이 있다. 입력펄스를 변조(modulation)시켜 저지대역(Stop Band) 주파수 대역에 맞추고, 펄스(Pulse)를 저대역 통과 필터의 저지대역에 통과시킨다. 이때 출력펄스의 응답(response)을 시간영역(Time-domain)에서 분석하여 정상상태(steady state)보다는 과도응답(Transient Response)을 확인하는 것을 제안한다. 이 방법은 저지대역의 파형이 필터를 통과해도 과도응답 때문에 필터가 제 역할을 하지 못한다는 이론을 규명한다. 이 이론은 고출력 극초단파가 외부대상에 미치는 영향에 있어서 전자파를 방어하려고 하여도 과도응답 상태 응답 때문에 타격을 받을 수 있다는 것을 규명한다.
