The benefits of teaching learning materials to others have been shown on learning achievement. Anxiety is one of the obstacles in learning and it has been shown that math anxiety is strongly associated with math achievement. Thus, the aim of this study was to investigate whether teaching others benefits math anxiety when university students learn statistics. 59 students who enrolled in statistics class participated and 30 students performed group assignment of teaching peer in a group and 29 students did not. Other than group assignments, the instructor, lectures, assignment of solving the problems, and exams were all the same. The results showed that the math anxiety of students who did group assignments of teaching was decreased at the end the semester. Increased math anxiety yielded negative attitudes toward learning statistics, resulting in poor learning performance. Furthermore, the relationship between math anxiety and the attitudes toward leaning statistics was moderated by teaching others. The results suggest that teaching others has an effect on reducing math anxiety and thus, possibly yield persistent learning gains.
Objectives: The psychophysiologic response pattern between healthy subjects and patients with generalized anxiety disorder, and the relationship among anxiety rating scales and those patterns in patients were examined. Methods: Twenty-three patients with generalized anxiety disorder(AD) and 23 healthy subjects were evaluated by Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety(HRSA) and State-Trait Anxiety Inventory before baseline stressful tasks. Subjective Units of Distress were evaluated just before baseline period, immediately after stressful tasks, at the end of the entire procedure, and psychophysiologic measures, i.e., skin temperature(ST), electromyographic activity(EMG), heart rate(HR), electrodermal response(EDR) during baseline & rest and during two psychologically stressful tasks (mental arithmetic, TM; talk about a stressful event, TT) were also evaluated. Results: 1) AD group showed significantly higher EMG level during rest after stressful tasks and higher HR level during all period except TM compared to control group. 2) AD group showed lower change in the startle response(SR) of ST, in the SR & the recovery response(RR) of EMG during TM, and in the RR of EDR immediately after TM than control group. AD group showed that the RR of EDR was significantly lower than the SR during stressful tasks. 3) We found that there was significantly negative correlation between state anxiety and the RR of EDR after TT in AD group. We also found that there were significantly positive correlations between HRSA score and the SRs of EDR during stressful tasks, and between state anxiety and the SR of EDR during TT. Conclusion: Our results suggest that patients with generalized anxiety disorder show higher autonomic arousal than healthy subjects and decreased physiologic flexibility or reduced autonomic flexibility.

Library anxiety has been recognized as one of the representative fields that concerns user's affectivity in library and information study. Considerable library users have been discovered to experience library anxiety according to researches. Although digital libraries are becoming more popular changing drastically from traditional libraries, few studies have addressed the measurement of digital library anxiety(DLA). The purpose of this study is to develop and validate a multidimensional digital library anxiety scale(DLAS) based on previous research in library anxiety and digital libraries. It will become possible to define the construct of DLAS, provide its underlying dimensionalities, and find out how much they explain the construct. Through the exploratory factor analysis, DLAS has been developed with 39 items representing seven distinct factors which were interpreted as affect, resources, know-how, security, language, technology, and task explaining 51.165% of DLA. Also, DLAS' characteristics about demographic variables and use pattern were found through the T-test and ANOVA analysis for each factor.

This research analyzed how the new and senior security guards employed privately are influenced on their task performance by the factors operated before task performance: cognitive state anxiety, physical state anxiety and state confidence which are the sub-factors of the Competitive State Anxiety(CSAI-II) according to the educational background, career, gender and athletic capacity. First, as for the new and senior security guards' state anxiety before task performance, the senior guards felt the cognitive anxiety more than the new guards, but there was not a distinct difference statistically. Therefore, it is estimated that there is little difference in the level of cognitive anxiety between the new security guards with insufficient career and the seniors. Second, the level of the physical state anxiety was shown higher from the senior guards than from the new ones and had a distinct difference. However, it seems to be derived from the extent of physical development as the seniors are at the time of vigorous physical development. Third, the level of state anxiety had no distinct difference between them statistically though the new security guards felt it higher than the seniors. Fourth, the state confidence was shown higher from the seniors than from the new and had a distinct difference statistically, also. Fifth, as for gender, the male and female guards did not have a difference so much in the cognitive and physical state anxiety, and state confidence. Sixth, as a whole, the state anxiety was highest as for the security guards with athletic capacity level 1 and 2. Those with the level 2, and 3 and the level above 7 felt it less than those with the level 5-6, which had a distinct difference in statistics. The manager of the new and senior security guards should make them dispel anxiety in piece of mind through physical and mental education encouraging them to have self-confidence, practical training, and psychological training based on the analysis of causes of various cases.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of university students empolyment expectation and job search burnout on job seeking anxiety. Collected data were statistically processed by PASW 18.0 program using frequency, descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, one-way ANOVA, T-test, correlation and multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows. First, it was found that university students experienced a little more anxiety about situations and causes of job insecurity than job insecurity. Second, it was found that job seeking anxiety differed according to gender, grade, monthly average household income and monthly average allowance. Third, job seeking anxiety increased more as empolyment expectations were lower and job search burnout such as inability, negative beliefs, and dehumanization were higher. Fourth, as a result of analyzing influence of variables related to job seeking anxiety, the most influential variable was inability.
The purpose of this study is finding alternative parameters of the HRV so as to minimize the subjective errors by STAI and BDI, could be have two types of significant correlation levels depending on normalized method. Particularly, the LF/HF presented as the quantitative physiological parameter that can reflect both state-anxiety and trait-anxiety.
This study was conducted to examine the readiness for death and death anxiety among hospitalized cancer patients. A convenience sample of 183 cancer patients admitted to four hospitals in Korea was recruited for this study. Data were collected in 2010. Collected data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. The mean scores of readiness for death and death anxiety were 1.99(${\pm}0.69$) and 2.21(${\pm}0.59$) out of 4, respectively. 'Psychological readiness' showed the highest mean score among the death anxiety domains, and 'dying process' had the highest mean score among the death anxiety domains. No statistically significant correlation was found between readiness for death and death anxiety. Readiness for death was statistically significantly different according to age, afterlife beliefs, stage of cancer, duration of disease, and number of symptoms. Death anxiety showed significant difference according to faith in God and afterlife beliefs. Distress in the process of dying needs to be managed for cancer patients and spiritual interventions should be considered to relieve death anxiety.

This study was conducted to find out the difference between aging anxiety and self-efficacy according to the general characteristics of the elderly in the community and to find out the correlation between aging anxiety and self-efficacy. From April 2019 to August 2019, 284 responses were used in the final analysis, focusing on senior citizens' health centers, welfare centers for senior citizens, health centers, and senior citizen centers in Gwangju and South Jeolla Province, and the survey was conducted using an aging anxiety scale and a self-efficacy scale. Studies have shown that aging anxiety has shown statistically significant differences in age, economic level, health condition, and present concern, and self-efficacy has shown statistically significant differences in age, academic background, religion, economic level and health status. The higher the age anxiety, the lower the self-efficacy. It is thought that it can be used to establish specific strategic measures for successful aging that can keep healthy for a long time and maintain a safe life.

Purpose of this study is to analyze the changes in state anxiety, heart rate, and fall efficacy of the elderly through the handle height of walking assistant vehicle (WAV). The subjects were 32 elderlies. WAV was in the form of strollers, and it's handle height was set as 48% of a subject's total height. Also, it's height was divided into 48, 43, 38%. To measure the state anxiety, Korean State-Trait Anxiety Inventory was used and to measure the heart rate, Fitbit Charge 2 wrist heart rate monitor was used. To measure the fall efficacy, Fall Efficacy Scale-Korea was used. As the results of state anxiety and heart rate, the statistically significant increase showed continuously through the decrease of the handle height of WAV. As the results of fall efficacy, the statistically significant decrease showed continuously through the decrease of the handle height of WAV. In all of the post hoc test, the results of the state anxiety and fall efficacy showed significant difference among the each handle height of WAV and the results of the heart rate showed significant difference between the 48, 43% and 38% handle height of WAV. Thus, to decrease the state anxiety and heart rate and increase the fall efficacy of the elderly, the handle height of WAV should be properly positioned and considered to adjust to 48% of the user's total height.
