Reliability Evaluation Method Based on Spatio-Temporal Statistical Characteristics for Motion Compensated Interpolated Frame (움직임 보상 보간 프레임에 대한 시공간적 통계특성에 기초한 블록기반의 신뢰도 평가 방법)

  • Motion-compensated frame interpolation (MCFI) techniques in video signal processing have many application areas. Frame rate up-conversion (FRUC) or distributed video coding (DVC) technique needs an effective MCFI algorithm. For these applications, it is necessary to develop an effective post-processing technique to improve visual qualities or to reduce virtual channel noises, resulting in the reduced channel bit rate. This paper proposes a reliability evaluation method based on spatio-temporal characteristics for motion-compensated interpolated blocks. The proposed algorithm investigates the temporal matching characteristics for current frame and then is designed in such a way that it can measure temporal characteristics as well as the spatial ones. Through computer simulations, it is shown that the proposed method outperforms the conventional temporal matching method.

Reliability Analysis of Reduction Factor for Structural Design Guideline(draft) of Fiber Reinforced High Strength Concrete (섬유보강 고강도 콘크리트 구조설계지침(안)의 저감계수에 대한 신뢰도 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the reliability index of a design by applying the reduction factor of the recently developed fiber reinforced high strength concrete design guideline(draft). By collecting material and member test data performed for the development of the design guideline(draft), statistical characteristics of material strength and member strength analysis equations are obtained. A simul ation that appl ies the material statistical characteristics and the member anal ysis equation of the design guidel ine(draft) is performed, and the statistical characteristics of the section strength are calculated by combining the statistical characteristics of the analysis equation. Reliability analysis was performed by applying the load combination of the domestic highway bridge design code and concrete structural code, and it was confirmed that the design that applies the reduction factor for materials and members suggested in the design guideline(draft) satisfies the target reliability index.

A Study on the Statistical Determination of Design Parameters Considering the Original Distribution Characteristics (원분포 특성을 고려한 설계정수의 통계적 신정에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, design parameters were determined statistically with and without consideration of original distribution characteristics. Obtained parameters were applied to test numerical analysis and the results were compared. Distribution characteristics of statistically treated parameters show the similar characteristics of original distribution. Mean values show more than 19% of errors between the two cases. Regarding the characteristics as normal distribution can cause distorted results, it is proper to consider the original distribution characteristics of the parameters.

  • 인공위성을 이용한 강우관측은 지상에서의 강우관측과는 달리 넒은 지역의 관측을 가능하게 하고 또한 해양에서의 강우까지도 관측할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 그러나 이러한 강우관측도 몇가지 문제점을 포함하고 있는데 그 하나로서 관측오차 문제를 들 수 있다. 이것은 관측된 강우가 공간적으로는 연속이지만 시간적으론 불연속이기 때문에 발생하는 구조적인 문제로서 강우의 시간적-공간적 통계특성과 관측계획에 따라 각각 다르게 정량화 된다. 본 논문에서는 인공위성을 이용한 강우 관측시 발생하는 관측오차의 추정식을 소개하고 두개의 다차원 강우모형을 사용하여 적용해 보았다. 현재까지의 관측오차 추정은 강우의 2차원 통계특성만을 고려하기 때문에 모형의 매개변수들이 이 특성에 맞추어 적절히 추정된 경우, 모델에 따른 차이는 크지 않은 것으로 밝혀졌다. 앞으로 이러한 단점은 2차원 이상의 통계특성을 고려하는, 궁극적으로는 강우의 확률밀도함수를 고려할 수 있는 관측오차 추정식의 개발을 통해 개선될 수 있을 것이다.

  • 본 논문에서는 국내에서 시행중인 전력수요관리사업의 현황을 분석하고 수요관리사업의 보급실적 통계를 구축하는 필요성과 구축 결과를 정리하였다. 일반적인 전력분야 통계와 구분되는 수요관리 분야 통계의 특성을 분석하였으며, 이러한 특성을 효율적으로 반영할 수 있는 수요관리보급통계 지표를 개발하였다. 또한 본연구를 통해 개발한 수요관리보급 통계집은 수요관리평가 웹페이지를 통해 보급하여 사용자의 편의성을 도모하였다.

First-and Second-Order Statistics of Washita'92 Soil Moisture Data (Washita '92 토양수분 자료의 1차원 및 2차원 통계특성)

  • In this paper the first- and second order statistics of soil moisture are derived using the Washita '92 data. Also the possible correlations among the soil texture, the brightness temperature, the NDVI and the soil moisture are investigated based in the linear regression study. Only the correlation between the soil moisture and the brightness temperature shows significant values. The soil moisture decay coefficients in time were estimated for each soil type and cross-checked by calculating the last rainfall time before the observation to be about 20days in all different soil types. The second-order statistics of soil moisture based on the correlogram and the spectrum was analyzed to derive the data characteristics and compared with those of the NDVI and the soil texture. This analysis shows that the soil moisture within the highly correlated soil texture field is affected much by the relatively less correlated vegetation field in the Washita area, where the effect of topography is known to be small. The soil moisture media was derived and its parameters were estimated successfully using the first - and sedcond -order statistics.

  • This study analyzes the applicability of limit state design method on bridge evaluation by considering the experiment of the existing bridge. The test strength of the member is obtained from the PSC beam bridge experiment. The test strength is compared with the calculated strength obtained from the statistical characteristics of material test strength and the two values are almost the same. The response modification factor and dynamic impact factor are obtained from the vehicle loading test. The rating factor is calculated by applying limit state design method as well as current evaluation method and the results are compared. The reliability index of the test bridge is calculated by using the statistical properties of the member strength obtained from material test and simulation. When the statistical properties of the PSC beam tested in this study are applied, the reliability index with a larger value was obtained than the reliability index obtained with the statistical properties of the design code.

  • 내부적 독립성 가설에 대해 전통적인 우도비원리 하에서 나온 검정통계량과 합교원리하에서 나온 검정통계량들에 대한 자료분석적인 측면에서의 대안으로서 기하적 관점에서 유래된 하나의 heuristic 검정통계량이 제안된다. 아울러 기존 검정통계량들의 기하적 의미들도 살펴보았다. 나아가 제안된 검정통계량의 특성 및 점근분포를 유도하였으며, 모의 실험을 통하여 기존 검정통계량들과의 검정력을 비교한다.

  • There has been growing interest in the quality of official statistics based on the administrative records. Such statistics take a large part in the official statistics in Korea, which are distinguished from survey statistics in aspects of data collection process. So we need specific quality management methods appropriate for official statistics based on the administrative records. This paper concerns improvement of the quality of official statistics. We first briefly review some of main issues facing the official statistics based on the administrative records in Korea and then provide quality assessment indicators for improving the quality of official statistics.

조사원의 업무할당 및 인구통계학적 특성에 따른 오차분석

  • 계속 반복하여 실시되는 통계조사에서 조사원은 오차를 발생시키는 주요 요인으로 간주되고 있다 조사원에 의한 오차를 측정하는 방법으로서 조사표 형태별로 조사원, 집락 및 가구 등 변수에 따라 할당하고 선계방법에 따른 추정 값에 대한 효과 및 효과의 분산을 산출하는 모델을 제시한다. 또한 실제 조사모델로부터 품질관리표본을 추출하여 이를 대상으로 리인터뷰를 실시한 결과를 조사원의 인구통계학적 특성별로 분석하고 불일치지수 등을 산출함으로써 오차를 분석하는 방법을 제시한다.
