This paper develops a goodness of fit test statistic to test if the progressively Type II censored sample comes from an exponential distribution with origin known. The test is based on normalizing spacings and Stephens (1978)' modified Shapiro and Wilk (1972) test for exponentiality. The modification is for the case where the origin is known. We applied the same modification to Kim (2001a)'s statistic, which is based on the ratio of two asymptotically efficient estimates of scale. The simulation results show that Kim (2001a)'s statistic has higher power than Stephens' modified Shapiro and Wilk statistic for almost all cases.

다변량분석 기법을 위해서는 자료가 정규성(normality)가정을 만족해야한다. 본 연구에서는 GUI환경에서 일변량 및 다변량자료의 정규성검정, 이상치제거 및 변수변환을 하는 시스템을 Visual Basic 언어로서 구축하여 사용자들이 보다 편리하게 사용할 수 있음을 소개 하고자 한다.

혼합물실험에서 성분의 개수가 많고 성분에 대하여 제한조건이 있는 경우 흥미영역을 도시하는 작업은 성분의 개수가 4개 이상일 때 힘든 작업이 된다. 또한 반응변수가 여러 개인 경우 최적화문제도 까다롭게 된다. 이때, 탐색적 자료분석의 한 도구로서 평행좌표그림을 이용하면 통계자료분석시 많은 도움을 받을 수 있다.

When we deal with grouped statistical data, it is desirable to use a calculation method that gives as close value to the true value of a statistic as possible. In this paper, we suggested a new method to calculate the quantiles of grouped data. The main idea of the suggested method is calculating the data values by partitioning the pentagons, that correspond to the class intervals in the frequency polygon drawn according to the histogram, into parts with equal area. We compared this method with existing methods through simulations using some datasets from introductory statistics textbooks. In the simulation study, we simulated as many data values as given in each class interval using the inverse transform method, on the basis of the distribution that has the shape given by the frequency polygon. Using the sum of squares of differences from quantiles of the simulated data as a criterion, the suggested method was found to have better performance than existing methods for almost all quartiles and deciles.

공간통계학에서는 다변량 공간자료에 대한 예측방법으로서 코크리깅 기법을 이용한다. 본 논문에서는 코크리깅을 위한 첫 번째 단계인 교차베리오그램의 추정에 대한 감도분석 대신에 일반통계학적 측면에서 주성분점수를 이용한 감도분석방법을 제안한다. 변수가 2개인 경우, 교차베리오그램에 대한 감조분석의 결과와 제안된 주성분점수를 이용한 감도분석의 결과를 비교해 본다. 모의실험을 통하여 제안한 방법의 타당을 검증하고, 실제 자료를 이용한 사례분석의 결과로써 재확인해 본다.

Spatial data is collected on a regular Cartesian lattice. In this paper we consider the model indentification of spatial autoregressive(SAR) models using AIC, BIC, pattern method. The proposed methods are considered as an application of AIC, BIC, 3-patterns for SAR models through three directions; row, column and diagonal directions. Using the Monte Carlo simulation, we test the efficiency of the proposed methods for various SAR models.

대학의 학업성취도를 나타내는 평점평균은 많은 요인의 영향을 받는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 논문은 형행입시제도하에서 획득 가능한 요인과 평점평균과의 관련성을 일반 화선형모형(GLM)을 이용하여 통계적으로 분석·평가하고자 한다. 여기서 얻어진 경과는 요즈음 변화가 모색되고 있는 입시제도나 대학교육제도의 개선에 적으나마 도움이 되는 기초자료를 제공할 수 있으리라 믿어진다. 분석자료는 1996, 97학년도 인제대학교에 입학한 학생들의 입시자료와 96,97학년도의 평점평균, 기숙사입사 여부 등을 대상으로 삼았다.

본 논문은 m개의 독립적인 일차 비선형 시계열로 구성된 패널자료의 동질성 검정에 대한 연구로서 먼저 일반적인 일차 비선형 시계열의 정상성 조건을 유도하고 이어서 동질성 검정법을 제시하고 연관된 극한분포를 규명하였다. 또한 모의실험을 하여 제안된 검정법의 모의검정력을 구하였다.

이 논문에서는 지구통계학적 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 자료 표현에서의 불확실성이 최종적인 공간통합에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 분석하고자 하였다. 광물자원 탐사를 위한 공간통합 사례연구를 통해 시뮬레이션 결과에 따라 예측 능력의 차이가 나타남을 확인 할 수 있었으며, 결론적으로 지구통계학적 시뮬레이션이 공간 자료의 불확실성 모델링에 효율적으로 이용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
